Anyone have a particular accent they like?

I'm partial to the typical midwestern American accent 'cause I think it sounds normal. :lew:

I'm not too deeply bothered about Southern accents or English accents because they're all cool anyway. It's nice sitting in a classroom with people who have different accents. Gives a nice feel.

i like Australian accents for some reason. something about a hot chick with an aussie accent...

You say it boy! Aussie chicks fuckin rule! Like my GF.........sigh.......when she gonna get back?

Anyway when FFXIII came along I was on top of the world Fang and Vanille wooohhh!
American accents are just the best acting voices.......silly point but in the 40's & 50's Aussie actors used American accents because listeners were used to hearing Yank accents!WOW......

Wakka has a great voice.......ya!

I love British accents... be it man or woman, if they say wah-rh, vih-amins, garidge, I swoon... and it doesn't matter the type of British accent, they all blow my skirt up.

It's weird though because I was never partial to anything until my bf. After that, well, once you go Brit.. :britt:

I'm not very good at picking up on accents really. I find most people hard to hear or understand, even those in my local area. I do like the sound of a lot of accents though, and I often get caught up in listening to the sounds more often than I actually recognise the words being spoken.

So which accents do I like? I guess I'll have to say most accents. Language is truly a wonder, and there is often something amazing about hearing different people speak in very different ways. Britain in particular is really a minefield for different accents... Travelling a short distance in any direction could lead you into a region where people speak radically different to the people in the place you just left.

I'm not very good at picking up which accent is which though, so I can't really comment on which I enjoy more than others.

Irish and Scottish accents are lovely, but not to a point where I can't understand them

Not really partial to out else

I love Irish and Scottish accents too. >.<

They just sound awesome!

When listening to people with different accents, it sounds as though they really put effort into into it, when really it just comes naturally to them.

I think Aussie and NZ accents are the most relaxed accents if you can even call them accents. XD It doesn't sound like any effort goes into them. XD

I can think of more accents that make me cringe than accents I like :wacky: Like Geordie, that just goes right through me.

I really like Irish accents, but only certain ones, but, if someone has the right Irish accent... phwoar. It's hot. The really posh British accent that all American TV shows think we all have really amuses me too, the Queen's speech on Christmas day just makes me giggle. Australian accents are really nice too, as long as they're not too broad, so that varies for me xD

French accents are strange for me, while I find a person speaking perfect French to be really sexy, French accents when they speak English just go right through me. They sound terrible xD

A good Welsh voice... phwoar. And a Scandinavian one too. Though my favourites have to be an English accent that isn't too posh or too coarse, and an Australian accent. I could talk to them all day and just be satisfied by the accent. Jamaican is a sexy accent too. I just love the deeper tone of a Jamaican native. :lew:

hahahaha youv been taught well. You say almost as many of our words as we do.

Irish is the one for me. When i hear that its just like :ohoho: so sexy. And im talking about listening to women speak :wacky: just to clarify.
But aye its hot :ohoho:
I actually like how the woman speak down the road in southern/central scotland. The ones from dunfermline and the fife area all sound good :ryan:

What, no one wants to talk aboot my canaydian accent, aye? :monster:

But I don't think I'm hearing enough Irish people for the forum to say that Irish is the sexiest by a unanimous vote.

my accent gets no love either, I usually just get folk laughing at me or saying OH, SAY THIS, SAY THAT, SAY HOW NOW BROWN COWWWWW

Lorna made me say cloud afew times on saturday, she thought it was brilliant

Ahh, but you're British and therefor I've included you in my all around hot for British accents, post. :monster:

So do I. :ryan: Also recently, British accents. I was just admiring their voices the whole time I was watching Pride and Prejudice. :mokken:

The Aussies as well. They sound really laidback and sexy. D:

Saaaaame :gonk: everyone finds mine entertaining because I live down south with an accent from up north :mokken:

Scottish and Irish :ryan: Yeah, they're my favourites too, didn't realise they were so popular :lew:
I don't really like many English accents... there aren't any that I can think of that I'd hear and be like, 'phwoar' at :hmmm:

Ido like the normal american accent it does sound normal..............But not the cowboy like one............

But out of all the accents I like the african-american............african americans sound so funny with theirs............But I don't like the aggresive type ones...........people liek Chris Tucker,Chris Rock etc........

I think Russian accents are pretty cool, the deep deep voice to accompany it is ace as well. As for women? Hmm.. Borris.

Midwestern is always sort of nasally, like holding your nose. I've never really liked that. Though sometimes it's cool. Like Wisconsin folks, I was always fascinated with the movie Fargo for this reason.

Canadian accents are pretty ace as well. If I could move anywhere it would be up there, in a more english speaking dominant province. No offense all you french Canadians, but some of ya'll have a stick up your butt, hosers. Give me Poutine or give me death!

I hate valley girl for obvious reasons. I can't make up my mind if it is an actual accent or people that have used it for so long they are accustomed to being brain dead. "It's likkkkeee, yea like, cool beans, like.."

Australian always has a hook on me ever since I watched Dundee when I was a kiddo. So down to earth sounding, and almost present a certain aura like "life is no big deal" in the way their accents sound =).

British, it all depends how posh. I hate posh, end of story. I like British accents though, but more a draw of one than anything else. Something about pitch variation throws me off.

Southern accents - Depends how thick (sort of like british accents), if it sounds to country slangish, then no. I can't stand it. I don't even care if the person could be the smartest fellow/lady in the land, it makes them sound atrocious and sometimes borderline uneducated.

I think British and Italian accents are very sexy. I remember a British camp counseler I had when I was younger and I loved it when he spoke <3
