You guys have had them before, right?! Ya' know, where you're with family/friends running around a city or dark facility, trying to survive. You find weapons you'd never dream of using and watch your friends get bitten. Then when you're about to get bit yourself, you suddenly wake up.

Anyone...? Please tell me it's normal. :wacky: I have these dreams once every few months, so I'm surprised to hear that the majority of folks in the SB haven't had them yet.

And it's not like I watch a bunch of zombie movies either...

I can't remember much of it anymore but I remember being on a beach. I was hiding out in a little voodoo shack with some crazy old voodoo lady who shooed me away. When I went out onto the beach, the Zombie's were there. And these zombie's were fast fuckers, like Dawn of the Dead Zombie's. Some of us ran into the lake to try and escape but they came after us. They could swim! :gasp:

I remember briefly before I woke up, one had my leg and I struggled to kick it off (it's hard in the water :gasp: ) and it ate my big toe.

I can do you one bett-.... weirder.

Me, my mom, and my grandmother, in the house I grew up in. Chased out of said house by zombies into the backyard. The backyard, however, is now killer tuna noodle casserole, with tentacle-like noodle arms that reach up and try to grab you as you jump over them. Which, of course, we had to do to escape the zombies.

........... I don't know.

I had a dream where I was being Chased by a Terminator?:hmmm:

My ex Girlfriend was with me though.

Just as deadly as a Zombie? more relentless I would say, But no never a Zombie dream,
I think I once had a dream about Jill Vallentine? she fought Zimbies, Speaking of Facilities I once had a dream I worked in the Transcontinental Railway Bridge linking Galbadia and Esthar :lew:

It was full of pipes and I was quite happy working there:wacky:

Amy way the Terminator bit the dust thanx to the Light saber I had in pocket.

Phew, well at least there's a few of you. Big toe...xD

I hate zombie dreams, I really do. Especially when as soon as you wake up, your heart pounding and the dream still fresh in your mind, you have the sudden urge to pee at 3 A.M. You want to ignore it, but your bladder is one stubborn mofo. So you quietly tip-toe your way to the bathroom with the lights off, and you are aware of that dark shadow you see in the mirror, your mind playing tricks on you. Turn the lights on and you go, "OH SHIIIT!!!"

Me? Zombie apocalypse dreams? Haha, sneaker's far too concerned with strange intellectual shit to dream about zombies. Haha . . . ha? Okay fine, so I've had like one, it was after I'd watched 28 Days Later way back in the day. Waaaay. Back. In. The. Day. What? Movies like 5 years old and older are pretty old to me, leave me alone.

So I was fending off a group of zombies with a bunch of my buddies right? Straight out in my neighborhood. Sunny. Casual, normal day, cloudless sky. Then BAM! Zombies coming at me and my friends chilling outside in New Jersey suburbia land. We were armed with bats and shotguns and all kinds of weaponry.

Now I can't remember if we won 'cause I ended up being woken up by my MOM! GAAAAH! :rage:

S'yeah. So . . . it was a badass dream. I dream . . . like a boss. Just had to get that shit out there. Now I'm done.

I occasionally have dreams about zombie apocalypses...they always take place in my old house, which is placed where my current house is now (and I have never been able to figure out why...) and I tend to spend the time running around the back alleys, getting ambushed, and then running back to the house, which I have a little time to barricade up before they start smashing the windows and trying to crawl through. I'm always on my own, although for some reason there are a bunch of old people I don't know in the front room, just sitting there and knitting...

When the zombies start breaking into the house though, I tend to start waking up a little, and realise that I'm actually having a dream...then I start teleporting myself away from them to escape being grabbed and torn apart. I cheat. Although I normally wake up once I start cheating; I don't think my subconscious mind likes it when my conscious mind starts interfering. xD

Well, I'd say it's a little strange. But I suppose it's also rather cool. To think all the people that pay money to see a zombie movie in theatres :awesome:.

What would happen if you watched zombie movies?

My guess would be that those movies would influence circumstances your dreams, provided they were influential enough...for me, the scene is always foggy as hell, which I'd attribute to how much I used to play Silent Hill 2. My zombies are always Resident Evil zombies, as well - they don't run. I've never seen any of them become Crimson Heads though, thank god...

...OK, so that's video games and not movies. But I would have thought any influential material would have an influence...

I've had them before, though, not in a very long time. It would typically take place in an old school I went to, and we would all be trapped there. However, the odd aspect of it was, is that we could all jump really, really, really high for some reason. Every single time I had this dream, it ended with me running from a bunch of zombies in my boxers, jumping really high, before I jumped too high and killed myself from the impact of the fall.

But the moral of the dream was... I didn't let those zombie bastards take me alive. :mokken:

I can't believe I finally found someone who does the same thing that I do in horror dreams. :wacky: I could also "teleport" myself (with my mind, not in my dream) from places to places in order to escape a deathly scene. Or if one of my loved ones is about to get eaten, I'm able to subconsciously alter what is happening at the time and "cheat", just so I wouldn't have to witness anything brutal. Sometimes if I really try hard, I can make zombie dreams go away and switch to something different, something more joyful. :) Amazing how the mind works.

You been watching too much Highschool of the Dead, Mits. lol.

I have dreams of "demons" in my house and the likes, but no zombie survival lol....

Only once when I was about 10, so you can imagine how horrifying that would be for a 10 year old girl at the time. :wacky:

I have no idea why I had that dream. I don't even watch zombie-related movies or play zombie-related games nowadays let alone 8 years ago. Then again dreams consist of absolutely bonkers stuff anyway, so I shouldn't really wonder about it too much.

I can vaguely remember waking up and my mother was there, wondering what was wrong. I was clearly violently tossing and turning and was muttering some words in my sleep. All I can recall from the dream itself was my dad as a zombie running after me along this dark, metal corridor that didn't seem to go anywhere. I won't be surprised if I'd tried to avoid my dad for a bit after that. xD

But nowadays, whatever I do dream, I can hardly remember them. Lucid dreaming though, would be awesome, but I don't think I've ever been aware in a dream that I am dreaming, let alone being able to manipulate things.

My nightmares nearly ALWAYS involve zombies and vampires. Usually being chased having to hide etc, it doesn't help when i watch summat scary, thought if i watch a zombie film (whoich is guaranteed to make me dream about them) I wont have the dream the same night, but it will defo be on the cards, I always wake up my heart fucking pounding. I have recurring ones more often than not as well

Though last night I had a nightmare and a half, the world was gunna end at like, 3:45pm, it was freaky as fuck because it felt well weird, and I remember who I was stood with saying, its ok, its not gunna happen unless theres and eclipse. And then the sky went orange and it was like there were 2 smaller moons passing over it, it was weird how many moons appeared I woke up for the loo at some point, and then when i went back to bed, it carried on. Weidest dream ever, folk were just waiting to die :gonk:

Ive never done that, Ive always just randomly woke up, usually when I know the net is closing in. Ive died once in a dream, and that was weird, the second i died, the scene replayed, but with a different outcome and that happened quite a few times, one of the more bizarre dreams Ive had

Mine tend to be proper lucid little bastards, and i cant cheat, it feels real until a moment after ive woken up, and if im really unlucky (As said above) it will carry on where it left off when i go back to sleep, though i think i tend to be more aware of it then, i just never seem to be able to do anything to alter the dream or change it to my favour

Nah I've never had those sort of dreams before.

The closest my dreams come to that sort of thing are dinosaurs. >.<

I always dream that a hugeass T-Rex is coming after me trying to eat me. XD

But I never have any weapons or anything.

It's usually just me hiding in a cupboard or under a bed or something until they find me. >.<

Nope never had a dream like that. The only thing that has come close to that for me is possessed people or demons... or people who look like a character from a scary movie. For example, me and my school friends were running around Sydney on a school day... because my history teacher became that little girl from The Ring. Yeaaaa... After that I decided to do my history homework, and never directly look at her again.

I dont usually dream about zombies, more about monsters and demons...but 1 I had years ago was about the same type of zombies as in I AM LEGEND..

I cant remember if I dreamt it before the movie even came out or after.

Me and my friends were in my house locked up ofcourse and when it turned night we were closefully checking the windows and checking outside wether the zombies were active or not..really eerie feeling in my dream.

At day we went outside looking for weapons/food etc.. when we got outside it was tense, always rushing etc..

In my dreams I alwasy seem to be running....getting weapons and running.. sometimes I run too slow and then the chasers/demons are actually on my heels..eerie..

My scariest dreams are about Alien invasions...but really f'd up invasions..if this would turn into a real sci-fi movie I tell ya major blockbuster lmao..

First there is a major storm/hurricane...Really dark clouds and sky...Then I will see odd lights in the sky, flashy red.. and other strange lights that shouldnt be there..

Suddenly these lights begin to explode..but I see it in the far distance..now the thing that scary is, is realising when the lights will reach my area...

I see explosions..its coming nearer...huge robots come walking and killing..but the really scary kind of robots like from that sci-fi movie War of the Worlds..and the huge robot from animated X-men series..

and also smaller flying alien robots blasting up people...

Then I wake up :griin:

Actually I usually smile after I wake up from a scary dream..cause I am a horror movie addict.. a genuine nightmare is something I havent had in ages..usually it involves my family..

Depends on if you watch/play something zombie related a lot. If so then it's bound to happen eventually. In my case yes it has happened, mine was Resident Evil related. Yet surprisingly nothing really bad happened. Long story short I ended up at the RPD police station and I ended up having to team up with 3 different people to try to escape. Two of them ended up being characters from the actual game while another was just a random person. I woke up about half way through. Though it didn't help that I did a playthrough of RE3 sometime earlier that day.

inb4nerd :sad3:

I had one about a week ago actually, and it was pretty frightening. There was a bunch of unusual noises going on outside my window, but I didn't pay attention to them since I was trying to fall asleep, and out of nowhere my grandfather barges right in through the door - with a knife through his side - and he looked about twice the age he is today (74), his face was distorted, and there was blood spurting in intervals from where the knife was in. He tried grabbing for me, but I'm guessing the pain took him before he could take me, because he had fallen on the floor before he could get a chance and just squirmed everywhere. It was like he was possessed/a zombie (of course), and my natural reaction was to run the fuck out of my room and somewhere where normal stuff was happening.

Unfortunately the only thing I ran into was the realization that half of the house was on fire, and when I went into my grandma's room, she was sitting on the floor behind her bed - clearly in shock. I looked outside the window finally and saw that the neighborhood was filled with zombies, destruction, and whatnot, so I locked her bedroom door, grabbed the nearby lighter (it was the only 'weapon' around. :jtc: ) and just sat next to my grandma, bracing myself. The dream immediately ended once I heard a huge bang on the bedroom door, and I was in the same position in bed when I woke up as I was sitting in my grandma's room - my head between my legs and a little shaky. I've had some other freaky supernatural dreams, but I believe this is the only one out of all of them with zombies in them . :hmmm: Its more interesting than scary when I think about it today . :wacky:
