It's probably not all their fault - extremely difficult and important job after all - but when a surgeon makes an incomplete operation while blundering a bit somewhere, it's enough to make any of us mad. My uncle has been in and out of hospital for a while now, having been diagnosed with some weird form of growth near the abdomen area (it's not fatal so I heard, at least not what I originally feared). He only recently had an operation to cut out the growth and was stuck in the ward for several days before being discharged. He was promised that it would be his only operation and after that he could make a gradual recovery. After his discharge his remarked about how painful it was just to stand and walk, let alone use the stairs. Just today he went back for a check-up and he was told by another surgeon that the one who operated on him in the first place hadn't done a good enough job and worse, he had cut too much, which gave him such needless pain in the first place, leaving a huge scar on him. Another operation would mean several more days in hospital with a second scar and many more months of pain and immobility. It's just awful for him. =/
