The Nine Worlds: RP

As they entered the Holland Tunnel, Koodori started to distance himself alittle from Aria. He knew she was safe among theese people and he could finally relax. Thou not worrying about his sister made him start thinking about the people that are still back there. His left hand then instinctly worked itself up his right upper arm and he started to hold it there wile lowering his head.

"Am.. I that.. useless.."

He then started to think about that dark haired man that got Koodori to run towards the Holland Tunnel in the first place and wondered if he was okey. Thoughts strafed his mind that he might not be okey, that he might be back there and dying and there was nothing Koodori could do to help. He then shook his head and let his hair cover his eyes.

--

As Crystal entered the Holland Tunnel she noticed the blonde guy walking more to himself. Seeing this as odd as she expected him to be flued to his sister she finally got to take a look on this young light haired female. She seemed quite young around the age of 14 perhaps. It was then she noticed something odd about her clothing, it was baggy. She then rushed behind her and groped her chest expecting a high pitched squeel.

"Darling, theese are not B cups. Why are you hiding it?"

She let go of Aria and looked at her with a funny look.

"Your a growing woman, why not show off what many girls your age don't have. You would suit it quite a bit."

Crystal looked at her with a more or less flirtatious look before she walked to herself.

A PREMONITION

You there! I warn you, try anything funny and i'll shoot you. I mean it.

"I believe you would, belle. But trust me, it would be much more pleasant for us both if you didn't." Looking over his shoulder to one end of the tunnel, then back to the other end, Bones pointed forward with his walking stick. "Let's keep moving, eh?"

He approached the nearest vehicle, stopped suddenly, and looked back again, his brow creased in concerned thought. Reaching into a pocket, he withdrew his ever-present dice and rolled them on the trunk of the car. After seeing the results, he again looked over his shoulder, then forward to the far end of the tunnel. He reversed course, walked around to other side of the car, and continued forward. He gave the young lady who had pointed her weapon in his face a broad wink. "Bad Mojo on that side, eh?"

As he passed the front quarter-panel of the vehicle, a rabid, slavering dog burst through the opposite window. Had Bones gone his original route, the dog likely would have taken off his head. Withdrawing his blade from the walking stick, Bones circled around the dog. His form shimmered, then split into three distinct copies. One circled left, jumping on to the hood of the car; another circled right, and got behind the dog; the third went right as well, but stayed back far enough to flank the beast. Snarling and growling, the dog backed away from the images of Bones. Unfortunately for the dog, it backed right into Bones, the original. With a deft stroke, Bones sliced through the dog's neck, spilling it's life blood onto the pavement, and dispatching of the beast.

Wiping the blade on the dog's matted fur, he reformed his walking stick, then rolled his dice again, this time on the hood of the car. He looked up, and without speaking, continued forward, deeper into the tunnel.

ARIA

As they finally came to a stop before Samuel, Aria took a few deep breaths to calm her nerves and relax a little.

"Are you all right?"

Aria said nothing but merely nodded her head thrice at the boy's question. She felt like she should be asking HIM the question, not the other way around. She kept quiet however, merely watching him with large, copper brown eyes that were filled with concern.

Before she knew it, they were moving again, this time into the darkness of the tunnel. She followed Samuel, still not speaking. Aria found her brother wandering off on his own and swallowed the small knot of fear that suddenly rose in her throat. However, she was more than intuitive enough to know that he did not distance himself out of malicious intent. He was probably just worrying about that strange boy they had left behind and the two women the boy had stayed to help.

The young girl was about to cross her arms across her chest as she usually did when lost in thought, but found someone's hands already there.

"Darling, these are not B cups. Why are you hiding it?"

Aria's eyes widened at the sudden physical and intimate contact, her cheeks flushing so much she felt they would be glowing in the darkness. A small 'eeeeeeeep!' broke past her lips and as the woman released her, Aria covered her chest, embarrassed.

"You're a growing woman, why not show off what many girls your age don't have. You would suit it quite a bit."

Aria looked to the ground, unsure of how to respond as the woman started to walk away, leaving Aria alone. The Singer tugged at her blouse, trying harder than ever to hide her figure as she continued forward, keeping pace enough that she walked just behind the older woman.

"I'm... I don't know... Scared?" she said quietly, checking her dagger and harp were securely fixed to her belt.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

SAUL

Despite not getting a response from either of the two women behind the smoke, Saul took the crack of the crossbow as an indication they were at least holding their own, regardless of their shrouded vision.

Aiming a back roundhouse kick to one oncomer's face, the warrior took a glance around their surroundings once more. Part of the mob had managed to get to the smokey area, causing Saul to curse under his breath as he backed up further. "Ladies, we need to get you out of there!" he called, taking a kick to the stomach from one of the mob. Laying the woman out with a hard, back hand slap that seemed to reverberate around the area, Saul leapt up onto a pile of rubble, the better to scan the area.

"Try moving to your left, the smoke eases off a bit!" he yelled, leaping back down and landing deftly upon a slender man somewhere in his mid thirties. "You'll be able to see better at least!"

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

TAYLANA

The teenaged girl still twitched in Taylana's grip as Anastasia appeared nearby, looking somewhat amused by... something. Licking her lips in satisfaction, the Vampiric Elemental allowed the body to fall to the ground with a *thunk*.

"Want a little hunt, Taylana? A few younglings just escaped into the Holland Tunnel. A hunt in the dark? What do you say? Care for a little fun?"

Wiping the dried blood on her forehead away and tentatively touching the shallow, but slightly stinging cut, Taylana beamed bloodily at the other woman. "A hunt in the dark, you say?" Her eyebrow rose as the wind folded around her, brushing against her skin in a sort of twisted embrace, lifting her up from the ground slightly. "You know my vices."

Ellie:

She flew down in the area where her sister was located, she was with the Thunder God, Crimson Wolf. Walking towards her, Ellie knew that her sister would sense her prescnce.

Formidable foes, i have to admit. How was your sparring partner?

Ellie responded, "They are an interesting bunch, very powerful as well. It pains me to say that they could be as powerful as us."

"Brunhilde, Ashe has advised that I assist you. So what can I do to help in this situation? Ashe is seeing to it that a group of children I came across get to safety without being harmed, she should be more than capable of protecting them from attackers while they make their way for the Holland Tunnel."

Ah, Lord Wolf. It seems you were a step too late. They have ....fled...for a lack of word and i am finding it hard to track them. Still, many humans are still dying, whether it be by their own people or these Pure Ones. We should spread out and scour the city for them. What do you say of this, Lord Wolf, Ellie?

"I believe the people should come first as well, let us try to find any survivors and take them to safety."

Ellie paused, then finally said, "Six Million People used to live here, now it's nothing more but empty houses and broken bodies."

-----------
Katharina:

While it was safe to walk through the tunnels, Kat had to remain alert. Her other arm started to cramp up. "Dammit, why am I cramping up so?" Kat thought. She knew that somehow whatever had struck her had to have some sort of effect on her, but she did not know what or how.

Despite the initial darkness, the Tunnel was still very much lit with sparse, dim lighting, probably from a backup generator. She had to take time to rest for a bit, so she can ensure that her legs don't start cramping up.

'eeeeeeeep!'

Katharina heard Aria screamed, and looked in her general direction, after being told by Crystal, she responded, "I'm... I don't know... Scared?"

"There is nothing to be afraid of." Getting up, Kat finally said in a stern voice, "Come on, let's keep moving."

"Ah, Lord Wolf. It seems you were a step too late. They have ....fled...for a lack of word and i am finding it hard to track them. Still, many humans are still dying, whether it be by their own people or these Pure Ones. We should spread out and scour the city for them. What do you say of this, Lord Wolf, Ellie?"

Crimson Wolf regretted not being able to get there sooner, and explained to the best of his ability of why he didn't get there sooner.

"I apologize, I would have been here sooner, but I came across a group of children, they needed to get safely out of the city, and after I first got there over time another would come, one of them being Ashe, so once she arrived, and I spoke with her of getting the children outside of the city where they should be out of harm's way.

But yes, I agree, we should split up to look for more survivors, they won't be able to last very long on their own in New York City in the crisis it is in the middle of now..."

Brunhilde

"I believe the people should come first as well, let us try to find any survivors and take them to safety."

"Yes, I agree, we should split up to look for more survivors, they won't be able to last very long on their own in New York City in the crisis it is in the middle of now..."

Very well. Let us split up and cover as much ground as possible. I cannot think of much use if we stay together. I will see you in a short while.

Brunhilde gave a short bow to her fellow Gods before leaping high into the air and flying off in another direction. She had her ears open for the cries of souls and where there seemed to be dire situations, she would dive to help as much as possible. Her mind still reeled at the current situations.

What are they playing at...? A cry for help!

With a sharp dip, Brunhilde dived for the ground

____________

Ashe

"Try moving to your left, the smoke eases off a bit!"

Ashe recognised the voice of the youth that had slugged the other in the group. It seemed that while the others escaped, he had stayed behind to help. Her crossbow and her fists sent out another flurry of strikes and blows, clearing her immediate area before Ashe eased off towards the left. As an archer, vision is important and she could do jack in this smoke.

Right. Got it. Keep it together for a few more seconds and i'll rain terror down on them.

Her hand groped the area in front of herself, seeing if she can get a grip on a building. If she could, then perhaps, she could get a bit higher from the melee of the mobs and take her time incapacitating them rather than killing them. Instead of a wall, her hand gripped another human's throat. With a heave, Ashe sent his body flying through the smoke and with a stroke of luck, ripped the smoke slightly and allowed a small window of vision. In an instant, Ashe was out of the smoke, but she was not in her ideal "building" position. She had gone out the wrong side and was on the middle of the road. Closer to the pathways was Samuel, but Ashe stood in mob city.

Argh. Bad move.

With a string of curses, Ashe began wading through the human crowd to get back to her allies.

Lindt

The little stint with the dices and the dog bought Lindt enough trust with this guy to follow. It was apparent that he wasnt going to rape or kill her, but it never paid to be careful. Her gun, though not pointing at him, was still up, scanning ever vigilantly. She was impressed and a little spooked. She could have sworn that she saw more than one of the man appear when he he was fighting the dog, but wasn't sure if it was an illusion of speed due to the dimness of the tunnel. Regardless, he knew what to do and that was good enough.

Um... you know what's going on? All i know is that things turned into hell, but thats it.

Might as well talk to the man. It would do no good to have a wierd vibe between them if she was to follow him. Plus, he might know some decent info that may prove invaluable later.

"There is nothing to be afraid of. Come on, let's keep moving."

"Exactly. You are among 'friends', for lack of a better word. We should all stick together so that nothing else bad happens."

He did not know if his words were gonna mean anything, but if he didn't say them, then he would never know. The only downside that he could think of was that people might think him some form of leader. He didn't want to be a leader, he just wanted to help.

He could feel his left leg start cramping up, and thought about resting, but decided not to. He did not want to stray too far from the group. He had to tough it out until they were either safe, or all stopped for a break.

"Hey! Are you all right?" Samuel ran back through the tunnel, gazing at Aria with sharp green eyes as she seemed startled by something, and a little more attached to her knife and harp than usual. Samuel smiled in what he hoped was a comforting way, though he hadn't really smiled since the attack began, but then told her. "Make sure you have that knife ready in case something happens. You could make a big difference, you know?"

That said, Samuel took point again, but almost immediately found himself tired and aching again. Pain clutched at his chest, and, although Samuel didn't know it, a tattoo similar to an emerald green flower had formed on his chest, and it had been blossoming slowly but surely as the green glow had faded. He found himself leaning against a wall
for a brief moment, before straightening and walking on with a slight limp. He couldn't let the rest of the team down when they were so close to escape.

Anastasia

"Excellent." Anastasia brushed her hair from her face. "Well then, shall we?" she asked with a little smirk, before turning and leading the way towards the Holland Tunnel.

Arc 2:
Footsteps In The Dark.

Nereid, starting to grow bored of small levels of destruction, and nobody trying to fight him laid back in mid air "What to do... Too quiet and dull... Ooh yes, that's a good point.... Yes, lets destroy the whole city in one go! That would be positively pleasurable!"

Somersaulting to his feet he slowly extended his arms and charged destructive power through his hands. In a flash black wings appeared through his back, 6 in total with 3 on either side. These levitated him far above the city. Placing his hands together he formed a small black ball which, after a small blast of black force it gathered red lightning around it and began to swell. Lifting his hands into the air, he let it go as it freely suspended itself above him and grew more and more, casting a huge shadow over New York City.

"Say goodnight, for the last time!" with this he grabbed hold of the ball in both hands and hurled it down towards the City, as it hit the screams of the many people dying from it's power could be heard ringing through his ears.

"HAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Nothing is greater than the sound of a thousand voices screaming in unison!" as the City was crushed under his power it suddenly exploded, any still on the surface would undoubtedly be killed, it was then that Nereid sensed a presence "Who's there!? Who dares interrupt my fun!?"

OOC: For those still in the city, you have a window of opportunity to escape the death ball, as long as you are underground or otherwise off the surface of slightly below it you will be relatively unharmed.

OOC2: The person i've sensed is the God of Chaos, this has been agreed with Squee :monster:

Alasdair fumed internally, but tried hard not to show it on his facial expressions. He wished that he could punch the wraith in the face, and would have done so, but knew that such would do no harm. The Shadow Puppeteer would only respond to such an attempt with another cruel remark.

"I'm not a coward, Raym Paulus. I do not use a servant to do my work for me. I hide behind no-one."

Alasdair saw that Raym was waiting for a more satisfying response, knowing full well that he would not rest until he accepted the challenge. Alasdair HAD to prove Raym wrong, to protect his personal sense of worth. Alasdair could not let himself be broken by a shadow!

"Sure I can take them all on... It should be exceedingly simple. Naturally I'd have killed them all eventually, but since you insist on having me face them now..."

Alasdair saw that Raym was still waiting for a more definate answer. Alasdair however wanted to throw something else onto the table, something that he hoped would shock the Wraith, and also inform him that he was to face all of his fears. Alasdair was set to prove that their last encounter would not be repeated.

"I accept your little challenge, shade. In fact... I'll propose that if I fail, and our fleeing foes leave unscathed, I shall hand over to you my sand vial, for you to do what you will... I don't know... Smash it? Eat it? Kiss it? Or perhaps place it on your mantelpiece?! The choice is yours, should I fail."

Alasdair grinned, confident that he shall succeed in his task. The only reward he wished, should he beat the heroes, would be to see Raym squirm with shame and anger knowing that Alasdair had conquered both their foes and his fear of losing his vial.

Alasdair HAD to complete this task. He had to show Raym that the wraith was no longer in control.

"So... Where abouts are they heading?"

Alasdair turned away from Raym and started to walk towards a motorbike which was resting on the ground, mounted by a headless corpse.

OOC: Once Raym has replied with the location or something else hints to it (otherwise Alasdair wouldn't have a clue what to do!) then Alasdair will ride away from the deathball on the motobrike and escape in time. Sarvophis will be safe as he is currently in the sewers, so I'll post again for him in my next one.

Arukab was wondering exactly where Lloyed had gone, but it concerned him not at that point. He felt something wasn't right. As he looked up to the sky he saw a big black ball of what could only mean bad news darken the sky and ground. This was something that he only had one defense for. He was saving it for a more offensive situation, but he had no choice.

He set himself perfectly up, as he had several encounters like this. Silver began to tear out of his skin and create horns. This was followed by the growth of wings made of solid silver that engulfed his entire body, making him completely protected by anything coming at him and he had dug the bottom of the wings into the ground, so there was no way anything could get in unless it was from the ground. As the ball hit the ground, Arukab felt the immense pressure, but hardened his silver so that it would not give. He couldn't see anything, as he was so secure not even a speck of light could get in. He waited for the pressure to stop.

Pulling his wings from the ground he looked around to see...nothing at all. the great city was leveled. Arukab could only see destruction, and only himself. "what...was that?"
___________________________________

Lloyed was in his afterlife for a very short time. He knew something was going to happen, thus why he fled. He did not wish to waste his time on protecting himself, he instead wanted to know the great power that had done this. Perhaps a good match, or an even better pawn to make from this one. Lloyed came back into the earthly world in the sky to see a being of human appearance with wings destroy everything in one go. Screams echoed in the sky and Lloyed grinned at this. The one he saw would surely be a wondrous addition to his side, so he would approach him.

before he began to move, he heard the being speak, Who's there! Who dares to interrupt my fun!?" Lloyed simply clapped with a smile.

"Well done my boy." Lloyed said with a chuckle in his voice. "I am not here to interrupt any fun you may be having. I am actually impressed." Hiding who he truly was, he covered his voice. "My name is Lloyed Tashna, perhaps you know me? I have a deal for you. I will give you anything you desire, weather it be ones head, or strong royalty, so long as you do something for me. I want you to finish off this little spit of rock." Lloyed was trying his hardest to make it clear he was going to use this man. "And your name is?"

OOC: Spit of rock being all of earth...

Luna watched as the two she was spying on went into a tunnel of the sorts. If she was really going to get the answers she wanted, she would have to follow them. She waited for the perfect point of her not to be seen, then she bolted as quick as she could into the tunnel behind them. Finally making her presence clear, sho spoke out loud to the two, whether they would recognize the mistress of the underworld or not.

"Excuse me you two, but would you mind telling me exactly what is going on here!?" She was trying to sound tough and her age, but regardless, she just looked like a cocky little girl...

Enter the Dark Invoker

Laleth sat in the rubble next to a NeyYourk Tunnel, Humming in delight. She had just popped through a portal which she had created a few minutes ago. Laleth dusted a part of her read and black frilly dress as the sound of sirens could be heard. "Lalalalalaa!" she sang Happily.

The ten year old girl couldn't be more satisfied with the destroyed scene around her. "hehehehe!" she chuckled as she twirled her black parisol.

Nothing could break her moment. The wind began to pick up. Laleth loved to sing in empty moments like these. Such a tragedy! All these corpses on the ground. Laleth began to sing: "Bodies, bodies! Lie on the floor if you see them, pass them dead evermore..."

The girl's song went on as she stood and skipped down a road towards the tunnel. Laleth walked down the rubbled sidewalk and stopped suddenly. She stopped singing, stopped skipping. There was a person knocking on another gateway somewhere far off and she was going to answer it...

LIKE RATS UNDERGROUND

Um... you know what's going on? All i know is that things turned into hell, but thats it.

Bones gave a slight shake of his head in negation. "No, belle. I have no idea what's going on. I only know what's going to happen." Suddenly standing straight up, Bones stiffened. He reached into his coat pocket and withdrew a deck of cards. He drew one. The Queen of Spades. "Run to the dead center of the tunnel! NOW!" He hoped the urgency in his voice would compel the young girl to listen. Looking behind him, he saw the dark energy, crackling with red lightning, slowly pushing its way into the tunnel, destroying whatever it came in contact with.

Looking to the other part of the tunnel, Bones could make out the silhouettes of a few figures. They were friendly, he knew. But meeting them would cause a host of new outcomes to crop up. He paused, weighing the possibiities.

+++++++++++++++++++++++

YOU RANG?

The orange and red aura streaked across the night skies over Connecticut, heading northward. Suddenly, it halted, and the form of a woman materialized within the colorized air. She could sense the destruction that was taking place in Manhattan. She was attracted to its power. She felt each building collapse, each person die, and it sent a jolt of ecstacy through her body every time. This was the kind of power she longed for.

The phoenix turned in mid-air, and advanced toward the destruction of New York City.

The whole of New York City was truly engulfed by darkness now, if anyone were to live, only chance would be to get underground in the sewers, or simply get outside of the city, if close enough to an edge of the city to escape it before death claims the doomed soul...

"Damnation! What remained of the city, now coming down to the ground...even myself could get killed if crushed under one of the many tall collapsing buildings, I've got to get out of the area before on of these buildings end up on top of me, closest escape possible...

...ugh, rather not resort to this, but the closest accessible means of exiting this shower of rubble is the sewers...no choice, best not think much about it, going down." Crimson Wolf was none too fond of dropping down into the sewers, but it was the safest choice, anything else could've resulted in him getting buried under a tower of cement.

Shortly after he got down into the sewers, he came across a serpent, just hoping it wouldn't strike him. "Listen, it's been a pretty crazy day, I had the choice of entering the sewers forced on me when all of the buildings in New York City started collapsing, so if you'd not attack, that would be great..."

The events of the day, everything was already beginning to get to him, which is something that wouldn't happen often, but one of the most major cities on Earth is going to rubble, everything ruin, all over people were dying, it was emotionally something very difficult to witness, for any amount of time.

Ellie:

Ellie flew off to find more survivors, but on the way there, she saw a shadow cast over the city. "Now what?"

As the valkyrie looked up, she saw an orb of dark energy coming down on her. It had enough power to destroy the city and her along with it. Thinking fast, she flew at high speed as buildings turned to rubble and collapsed, flying over, under and through buildings. Ellie managed finally to escape New York in time to see the city and all it's people leveled. Fortunately, the island still stood, but she was awed and terrified by it's power, making her wonder who was behind it.
-----------
Katharina:

The Holland Tunnel shook as if a large explosion came in from behind. red lightning was coming in through the tunnel.

"LOOK OUT" Kat yelled as she took cover behind a car, hoping it would give protection, touching the car with her hands, unbenowst to her though, as she touched the multiple cars to get into cover it was changing in molecular design, it was becoming less steel and more granite, which acted as a ground and negated the attack.

As Kat got herself up, she felt the car, only it wasn't a car, but a big rock of road. She asked herself in her mind, "How did that car become a rock?"

ARIA
Silently she weeps

Smiling softly at the reassurances of her comrades, the singer found the strength to keep putting one foot in front of the other, soft blonde hair wafting around her pale face.

Aria felt her heart catch in her throat as piercing green eyes were suddenly boring into hers in the darkness. Nodding her answer to the boy, Aria offered a gentle smile as he moved off once more into the shadows.

Keeping step behind the pink haired woman, Aria did as advised, tightening her grip around the plain dagger, silently readying herself for any attack.

And it came, but not as she had expected. Aria threw herself face down into the center of the tunnel covering her head with her hands. She felt a suddenly pulse of fear for those they had left behind... how could they survive whatever had just happened outside?

She wept in silence.

---------------------------------------------------------------

SAUL
Foolhardy

An ominous feeling swelled in the pit of Saul's stomach, growing until he could do nothing but look towards the sky. A shadow masked out all light, so large it didn't seem possible. Swallowing a lump in his throat, he ran towards where he though the two women were.

"We have to get undercover... AND NOW!" he yelled, making a grab for the Einherjar and Samurai before making a mad charge straight for the tunnel. He was completely unaware as to whether he had been successful in dragging the two women with him, but as the shadow collided and wiped out the city, exploding in the process, he could only hope that were with him as dust and debris marred his view.

"Bastard," he muttered before speaking directly to the two women, still hoping they were with him. "Find the others... please... make sure they're safe. I'm going to investigate... Shouldn't be too much to worry about. Nothing could have survived on the surface of that..."

Running from the tunnel entrance, Saul rushed through the streets until he heard a voice. Assuming the voice was not addressing him, Saul leapt atop a shattered building before yelling out to what he assumed was the decimator of the city.

"Oi, you. Bastard!"

(hhhhmmmmm)

TAYLANA
Whispers in the Dark

"Tch..."
Taylana muttered as she watched Nereid's overdramatic display of power, the city wiped out in seconds. A light aura throbbed around her, protecting her from the attack. Out of "kindness" she spread the effects of her light shield around the two other females nearby before actually answering the girl child.

"What does it look like?" she asked, looking around. "Death... destruction... annihilation. It's beautiful, is it not? All this carnage... it's like a masterpiece... It takes talent to turn a massacre into an art."

She grinned then, turning her head to look at the girl. "And we're not finished yet," a titter of laughter as the dark woman entered the tunnel. "You can run, silly rabbits, but the big bad wolf is going to catch up to you eventually!"

OOC: Wait, if someone is under ground, or really high up in the air, they are fine right?

Brunhilde

Duravel flashed in the air before four bodies fell to the ground, moaning in pain as blood began to seep through the wounds. The woman she had just narrowly saved from being curb stomped backed off from the Valkyrie as if she was some feral beast.

Hmph. Such souls deserve no redemption. Thank your luck that i have no desire to kill as of now.

A quick flick of her wrist sent the blood that clung to Duravel splattering onto the ground before Brunhilde slid the ornate blade back into it's sheathe. She left the men whining on the floor as if the superficial wound was going to kill them. Instead, she went to the woman.

Are you unharmed?

Brunhilde reeled back in shock as the woman slapped her outstretched hand in disgust and fear.

Get away from me you murderer, you sick freak.

Brunhilde was truly baffled by modern society where distrust grew so deep, to the point of favours were not always met with gratitude. Something had to be done, or this woman would die. Trying to calm her down and explain, Brunhilde felt the huge energy spike. It was ridiculous. Something like this was going to flatten almost the whole city.

Come, we must leave if you value your life.

Get away! LET GO!

Brunhilde got physical and grabbed the woman by the wrist, attempting to drag her along, but the woman hung onto the signpost, even to the point of biting her gauntlet hand. It was too late. Had she went from the beginning, there was enough time to fly at a speed which she could survive. Now, it would tear her apart. Brunhilde let go of the woman's hand and bowed her head.

May you rest eternally peacefully.

Her light wings spread out as she backstepped from the now awed woman before she shot straight into the air. The woman continued to stare at the heavenly apparition, entranced, luckily, and did not notice the crushing force that hit New York, killing her. Brunhilde had a box seat view of the destruction of thousands of lives.

Tch....damnable....

___________

Ashe

"We have to get undercover... AND NOW!"

Ashe did not need to be told. She felt it. The moment she waded through the crowd back to Saul and Shogun, her senses were sent into overdrive and she felt the power of the attack. Her legs pounded the ground, making for the tunnel entrance right behind Saul. It was close. Only moments after they had entered the tunnel did the attack reverberated all across the tunnel, the pressure causing a great vibrating sensation. It was over as quickly as it started.

Argh, damnitall....Master!

Ashe's first thought was of Brunhilde. There was a second of panic before she just realised who it was that she was worried about. Escaping was easy. If she had survived, then Brunhilde would have easily done so too.

"Find the others... please... make sure they're safe. I'm going to investigate... Shouldn't be too much to worry about. Nothing could have survived on the surface of that..."

The boy made Ashe speechless. Given the situation he still goes back out to investigate. She didnt know whether to call him reckless or brave. Either way, someone had to wait for him.

Tch. I'll stay here at the entrance and wait for him. If you want , you can go in and meet up with the rest of the group. I'm sure they could probably use your help, Miss soldier." (Ashe still hasn't gotten your name.)

Lindt

Lindt worked on reflexes. When the man said to the middle, she executed a well trained combat roll and planted her back against something solid, the body of a Mercedes Benz van. All along the roof, she saw the crackling of some black glob and red lightning, reminiscent of the games she had played before. A great vibration shook the entire tunnel and unfortunately, caused another nearby bus to topple, shattering its glass and sending them like shrapnel into Lindt. Her arm, covering her upper body, copped most of it, but it was in turn, shish kabobed with sharpnel. It was lucky most of it were large pieces, but that didn't mean it hurt any less

AH! Shit!

Her fingers were nimble, thankfully to her hobby with tinkering small mechanical stuff. Slowly, each shard of glass came out and tossed to the ground and soon enough it was all out. Her arm, however, poured blood. Although wrapped in a cloth to somewhat stop the bleeding, Lindt didn't have much hope of it fixing any time soon.

Really. This si the best time to get screwed over. Come on crappy arms. Heal faster.

It was a psychological thing, kind of like mind of matter, and it calmed her mind a bit. The white makeshift bandage was turning red slowly, but tough. There was nothing to do. Noise echoed from one end of the tunnel, the one she came in from. That meant there were more people and from the sound of it, a few more than the two that comprised her current group.

Hey, i think there are people over there. Wait a sec.

Better to see for herself who it was than to find out and fight up close. If they were hostile, shooting them as they came was easier. Using the cars as foot holds, Lindt managed to get onto the top of the bus, which was the tallest point thus far in the tunnel, and cut a swathe of light across the tunnel, illuminating everything inside the circle of light.

Who's there? Show yourself.

There was no answer, but Lindt thought that maybe her pointing her gun was an issue. She lowered it to her side, letting it hang behind her back in its sling and stood tall up high. She wasn't holding it, but it was there if anything happened. She was completely visible as her light was like a beacon for anyone looking from the direction of the noises.

I have put my weapon down (not necessary true, but she wasn't aiming it.). Come on out.

Koodori kept on walking by himself as they kept on traveling through the tunnel. His concentration was not of the best right now, if someone tried to talk to him he would not bother responding.

There was something wrong thou. He could feel a strange sting of fear go through his body and as that happened the tunnel shook, but he did not react until something grabbed a hold on him and moved him up against a wall.

"What's.. going on?"

He shook his head and looked as Crystal was pushing herself almost up against Koodori. He then looked to the side as he saw a woman holding something that looked like a huge boulder.

"You pretty boy should stop wandering in your own little dream world when our lives are at risk."

Koodori then looked at her with a dead look. He was somewhat disoriented.

"Wait.. did whatever happen come from back there?!"

Crystal moved away from Koodori for the time and looked at him with a wonderous look. She then realised that the two women and the dark haired guy that covered for them had not returned yet as far as she knew. For all she knew they could be gone by now.

"No.. no.."

The cramping had gotten worse, and that caused Kiko to lag behind the group some. He kept thinking about what had happened, and found the strangth to keep going. He kept his eyes open for trouble and had gotten to the point where he grabbed his bow and armed himself.

While looking in the tunnel, he saw someone on the ground. When he got closer, he saw that it was one of the people from the group.

"Are you alright miss?"

He stopped and put his hand on her shoulder. He was not sure of how she would react, but he was just trying to help.

"C'mon, lets stick together. I'll hang back with you if you want."

Shogun-

As the smoke cleared and Shogun regained her composure she soon realised there were only three of them left as the rest had already made there way to the tunnel, herself another female and a young man that seemed to be as she thought, a little bit foolish.

"Find the others... please... make sure they're safe. I'm going to investigate... Shouldn't be too much to worry about. Nothing could have survived on the surface of that..." The young man had called back, realising she was running on empty anyway she reluctantly agreed, dropping her SA80 assault rifle to the ground with a dull thud and drawing her short gripped combat knife she turn toward the tunnel and began to run into it, not looking back to see how the other two were doing.

Just inside the tunnel she stopped and looked around, realising she was now on her own, she was going to have to pick up the pace if she wanted to catch the rest of them up, musing for a second and feeling her skin clam up from the sweat building under her kevlar baraclava, she reached a hand up and took it off

"Something tells me I wont be needing this" she mused as she idly let it slip from her grasp and float to the floor, her facial features were that of a young woman with long flowing red hair, bright green eyes, a cute button nose and soft naturally silky lips. At first glance most people would assume her to be nothing more than a push over, as her natural and delicate beauty often shrouded the years of combat training and experience she had.

Glancing lightly at her wrist monitor, she noticed several blips up ahead and proceeded to advance toward the location of the source of the blips.
