The Nine Worlds: RP

Kiko saw the creature be defeated after a fierce battle. He did not think the battle would be so tough, and was unhappy when his arrow seemingly did nothing to the beast.

"Let's go."

He heard the point man say those words, and knew that there was no danger up ahead that could be seen. Putting his bow back on his back, he proceeded to follow the group towards the exit of Holland Tunnel and towards Jersey City.

Nereid, observing the strange man was about to smite him where he stood, for trying to take control of him when a new challenger approached, this one seemed more fiery than the stranger before him. Completely blanking the man he floated down at high speed, stopping a mere inch from him, face to face.

"AND WHAT DO YOU WANT!? Why is everyone insisting on ruining my fun!? Shoo maggot before I get even more angry and smash you!" glaring into his eyes he pushed him hard in the stomach before firing small versions of the death ball from his fingertips and aimed them at the man's feet, Nereid simply wanted him gone, rather than wanting to waste his energy obliterating him there and then.

OOC: Hope that's not too god-moddy, if it is i'll change it :gasp:

TAYLANA
Leave It To The Grown Ups

Rolling her eyes at the young girl that had suddenly become a part of their party, Taylana kept her pace beside Anastasia. "Your choice, little one. But if you happen to get hurt in the fighting, don't come running to the grown-ups."

Unlike Anastasia, Taylana was not going to give any indication that she knew the true strength that the girl held. After all... Gods were no more than inconveniences to the Elemental. She tittered with laughter as she continued after Anastasia, almost gliding across the ground after the other woman.

"You better be able to watch out for yourself," she said, sniffing at the air ahead of them, finally catching a slight whiff of elemental power coming from ahead of them. "Ohhhh.... how delightful... The one with the magic is mine..."

-----------------------------------------

ARIA
Empathic Soul

It was over... the plant woman lay dead and nothing more than a pile of decaying twigs and leaves. Aria almost felt sorry for the poor beast. But then, she felt sorry for just about anyone caught up in fighting.

Allowing her song to end, the tiny girl ran to her brother and pressed a slender hand against his brow. "Koodori... you were amazing," she said with a small smile, tucking her harp onto the leather strap at her waist.

Looking around, she took in the faces of her comrades, at least, what she could see of their faces. "I guess we keep going?"

-------------------------------------------

SAUL
Buying Some Time

Saul tumbled backwards as the thing before him gave him a solid shove in the stomach and barely managed to dance around the little balls of energy that were shot at his feet. With an almost animalistic growl, Saul leapt backwards, recovered himself and stared at the Destroyer.

"What do I want? That's a good question. World peace? A place to call my own?" he paused for a moment, knowing he was only going to end up goading this thing before him into attacking him again... but that was what he needed. He HAD to stop the Destroyer from following the others. It was bad enough that there were others possibly on their tail, but this one had literally leveled the entire of the City in one move.

"Seriously?," he grinned crookedly, "I just want to kick your ass into next week."

Checking his claws were locked firmly in place, Saul made a mad dash at the Destroyer, slashing out with his right hand. He followed his up with a roundhouse kick, falling into a low sweep.

All he had to do... was buy some time.

KOODORI

Koodori opened his eyes after his small fall that knocked him out. The monster was just some leaves and twigs now. He was amased that Crystal could pack so much punch into her magic, but he guessed that his own efforts to support her magical power and everyones general defenses had something to do with it.

Aria came then swiftly and Koodori positioned himself into a more of a sitting position. Feeling the slender hand against his brow he heard comforting words from his loving sister. He smiled at her as he stood up feeling much better already.

"You were amazing yourself Aria."

Ready to leave he dusted of his pants and put his hand back on his head to see if he was wounded after the fall. Noticing that there was some blood there he quickly searched for the wound with his finger. After finding it he retracted his hand and noticed the wound was only a minor wound and left it at that.

---

CRYSTAL

Crystal breathed heavily as the monster was dead. Being so close to dying was not a pleasant surprise and have it not been for Aria she would not be alive now. She however did not approach Aria just yet, due to this uneasy feeling she had. It was like if someone or something was going to appear after nowhere. However thinking it was nerves she quickly reclaimed her old posture from before the fight and her attitude had changed completely back to normal.

OOC: I have no idea where to go with Brunhilde and Ellie. As of such, ill not post for Brunhilde. Also, damn you kevin. i was hoping to do the healing thing. Ah wells, ill wait for a different opportunity to develope her skills.

Lindt

"On second thought, I'll manage."

Lindt huffed with a bit of annoyance. Here she was, dragging the girl across the Holland Tunnel to a safe spot, just to have her effort thrown in her face. Not even bothering to stop her, Lindt just walked into view of the battle, looking instead. There, the girl leapt from the interior of the van and let loose with a shotgun. The deadly pellets from the gun tore the tree to shreds and it wasn't long before it was down. All around, the girl's friends gathered once more, exhausted from the fight. However, none of them had earned her trust yet, especially not after the little display of impossible bullshit. She levelled her gun squarely at the group, not pointing at anyone in particular, but covering them, just in case.

Okay you freaks (still not aware that she herself is one too)! Don't move! Who the hell are you guys!?

She didnt know why, but Lindt found herself asking this question a lot lately.

(OOC:: Ok... felt the need to post something cos it just popped into my Aria part of my mind... >.<)

ARIA

Even In The Face of Danger

Aria's eyes locked upon this woman she had not yet had the displeasure to meet. Her eyes narrowed as hands rested on her hips, bronze orbs looking at the woman was as much hatred as the tiny girl could muster. "Now just who on earth do you think you're pointing that.... thing at?!" she asked, stamping her foot as she folded her arms, a petulant pout forming on her cherry pink lips.

The Singer's usually angelic composure shattered as a sudden surge of anger overcame her, forcing her to stand her ground before this unbelievable woman. "That's some way to introduce yourself! We've just had a fight... with a TREE! A WALKING TREE! That... tried to kill us! And she killed it!" Aria pointed towards the woman who had torn the plant woman apart with a shotgun. Again that wave of empathy for the plant lady washed over her, but Aria shrugged it off. "She killed it to protect herself and the rest of us."

Tears welled in her eyes, unbidden. Unashamed, Aria did not try to stop them from falling. Instead she looked the strange woman bravely in the face, eyes glittering with honesty and determination. "You point that thing at us as if we're monsters..." she said in a cool, calm tone. "We're trying to survive whatever it is out in the City that wants to destroy us all. We've each displayed some... peculiar sort of... talent... and we're still trying to adjust to it."

The young girl looked around at her comrades before turning back. "And yet you point your weapon at us... we're not like those things back there. We're human... And we're just trying to understand what the hell is happening to us!"

OOC: I apologize Tipsy, but I want to uphold the masquerade, an important plot point with Revan, I hope you will understand as this RP progresses.

IC:
Katharina-Calming The Signer Down

Kat listened to Aria's arguing with the girl with the Garand, it made her think that this sweet, innocent young girl was starting to grow up in this cruel world.

But now was not the time to start bickering and arguing. She knew of course, that people don't trust each other. Then again, Kat never needed trust, she never did. All she need was someone to watch her back until they it was time to go their seperate ways.

"That is enough Aria!" Kat snapped back. She regained some strength so she could stand up and get in the line of fire of the Gunner. She of course was very annoyed at the situation.

"Now, I know you don't trust me, and for the record I certainly don't trust you after that show. But right now, we need to get out of here, hopefully without anyone trying to kill us all."

Picking up her Shotgun, she knew that the other end of the tunnel isn't far off anymore.

"Come on, let's get out of here."

Okay you freaks (still not aware that she herself is one too)! Don't move! Who the hell are you guys!?

Kiko heard this and saw who said it. He didn't like the look of this lady, but he didnt want to arm himself, for fear of starting another fight.

"Come on, people. We don't need any more violence in here. Lets just calm down and think things through, before somebody goes and does something that is unnecessary."

His mind kept flashing back through the events that have been happening, and he was starting to lose focus.

"Lets get out of here. We'll be safer when we get out of this tunnel."

He could only hope that he was right, but for now, he had to believe it anyway.

Shogun -Catching up-

Moving swiftly and silently through the tunnel, Shogun felt quite alone as she traversed through the tunnel, using her training to track where the others had gone, momentarly pausing to check for footprints, abrassions or any evidence that the others had been this way, it was only when she came across the withered remains of the plant creature that she knew she had almost caught up.

Turning her gaze to the side, she caught a glimpse of the party somewhere in the distance..."HEY Wait for me!" she shouted as she picked up the pace and rushed towards the party.
=================================================================

The Talon -Stalking Prey-

Watching overhead the Talon had locked his gaze with his prize, however the folly was already against a powerful opponent and seemed to be on the back foot despite his best efforts.

The Talon could more than easily jump in, swiftly impale his opponent and bathe in his blood easily, but this wouldnt be fun or enjoyable, but now was a good a time as any to evaluate the strengths of this fighter..and also keep a close eye out for weaknesses, so sitting in darkness...The Talon watched...and waited.

=================================================================

Raym -Revenge is a dish best served....Now!-

The wraith had made his way into the tunnel's and followed his senses, tracking down the party once more with ease, staying off to a corner, he looked over each one of them, Immediatley reckognising the Valkarie, Kat and....HER! The Singer!!

Increasing in hatred his eyes began to burn with a white hot intensity that would melt away the ice in the coldest northern tundra...he held a particular distate for this one because of what happened the last time he had run across her....

His mind flashed back to several years prior...the singer but a small child, he had been drawn there by her aura and the doubt she had within her mind, as he tried to take her brothers soul....he remembered notes of the song she sang and his hatred fading and him along with it..before snapping out of the daydream.

Raym was positively boiling with utter disdain by this point...despite the numbers he would take the chance to try rid himself of this bitch seemingly favored by the gods...not wasting anymore time, he hovered up with a loud ear piercing scream and launched himself directly towards the party...he wanted revenge and he wanted it NOW!

[ooc: bit of music for this skirmish http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3eb-oTYs9uc&feature=related He's also going to either randomly attempt to possess one of the heroes or re-animate the Plant Creature during this fight, this is Aria's moment to shine ^^ also to note, physical weaponry CANNOT, I REPEAT CANNOT harm him, only magic and Aria's music have any effect against a Wraith[/ooc]

Koodori grabbed a hold onto Aria and gave her a gentle hug as he smiled at her after her sudden outbreak. He placed his hand ontop of her head and looked at her facial expression and laughed alittle.

"You never cease to amaze me do you? Sis."

He then looked over at the person that had pointed the gun towards them all. He smiled at the woman that seemed to be mildly freaked out by the show she just saw.

"Would it not be better if you joined us to get out of here? I am sure you would come of assistance, and it could possibly help the trust issues you currently are having."

He spoke with a very gracious tone and did not want anything bad to happen to the woman, nor the rest of the group. He did not want some fight to break out between them as they just have fought a monster. Feeling much better from his previous lightheaded state he felt as if he had gotten somewhat stronger with his powers as he regenerated pretty fast.

Crystal looked over at Aria and Koodori. She did not care much for the people here as she felt she could outmatch them easily with her elemental powers. For all she knew she was the one with the strongest powers, yet she was the closest one to actually dying, but as she looked at Aria and Koodori she felt somewhat a relief. They were so pure and so young and did not want anything bad, yet they still do their everything to help everyone.

It was then the shriek that pierced their very ears was heard. Koodori flailed at the sound wile Crystal barely managed to cover her ears. The sound was oddly creepy and Crystal herself was not fond of it what so ever. As they both looked towards the sound a person was lunging itself towards the party.

Koodori at this moment almost jumped infront of Aria, his mind completely blocking the safety of himself and rather focuses on the safety of his beloved sister Aria. Crystal on the other hand could not do much. She knew that if she casted a spell wile he was moving like that it would clearly miss and somehow manage to hurt someone. Her aim was thou not the very best.

However at the same time they both could hear a voice of a clearly friendly person. Starting to get somewhat tense their mind shrouded itself making the simplest thought a hard task.

Samuel was walking down the passageway, towards the literal light at the end of the tunnel. Not once had his thoughts left the plant-woman, once so beautiful, now lying in ruins within eternal darkness, with only the other corpses for company. He understood that they had to do what they had: to kill what had been trying to kill them. Yet he had summoned that thing. He had brought it here. And now it... no, she, was dead, and it was all his fault.

The shriek snapped him out of his elf-pitying stupor, as he looked around, panicked, hoping against hope he hadn't summoned another thing without even knowing it. The cry chilled him to his very bone, made the hairs on his arms stand on end, and raised goosebumps all over his body.

Something was wrong.

Anastasia smiled softly as she sensed the presence of the Dark Puppeteer, the Wraith, Raym. He would delay them a while. She relayed this mental detection to Taylana.

Aukab
The Mystery

Arukab was walking through the city that had been destroyed and he found a tunnel not after long. He had not known why, but he felt the urge to walk down it and see where it went. But when he went into the tunnel, he knew he wasn't the only one in there. Were there people? He would find out at the end...

OOC:Short but I have plans...

Luna
Hell's mistress

As the one whose name she did not know had told her to keep up, Luna felt mocked and minorly insulted by this, but she said nothing about it, and this was unlike her.As they were progressing, Luna kept up just fine, she was a fast runner after all, very fast. As they progressed, Taylana told her to leave things up to the "grown ups" and that she better be able to watch herself. Luna made her usual angry face, showing her sharp teeth and big red eyes. She shouted loudly at Taylana, "You should respect your elders little girl, I bet I'm more than twice your age!"

Of course, this would look silly coming from her, but after all Luna wasn't exactly a thinker...She often forgot how old she looked. She than said to the other two, "Besides, I want to see what you can do before I show you MY talents, so I'll be getting your back!"

Lloyed
The Lord

Lloyed scoffed as he felt insulted when he was ignored by the one had approached. Lloyed decided to go down with him and walk by him and the one he had approached while speaking to them saying, "Hm, too good for a god? We'll see how things go for you in the afterlife..." wanting both of them to here. Then he vanished into his light and dark.

OOC: I'll wait for Dan for the rest of what Lloyed does next...

The location of the heroes resonated in Alasdair's head as he made his way to the motorbike. He threw the dead biker onto the road and started the engine.

A loud crackling noise was heard above. Something with immense energy was forming which would surely mark the end of the city.

"Looks like I've got no choice but to get a move on".

Alasdair grinned as he looked up at the sky, a large ball of dark energy began to descend and engulf the city. Red lightning struck the tops of the skyscrapers, the occassional explosion causing buildings to vomit fire and glass out into the street, as if to show that they were suffering their final throes of their demise.

Racing through the street Alasdair felt no fear. He felt only excitement that the giant ball of death would surely obliterate everything that stood above ground on the city, including himself if he wasn't careful. He had no doubt that he would escape. He was very confident that the motorbike he chose would be enough to power him away.

Instead he took the liberty to mock the civilians as he whizzed past them.

"Suckers! You're all going to die! Ha ha ha! Oh, come on! Don't look confused, embrace it! You'll only get to die once!"

The civilians panicked. As if it wasn't enough that mass murder had been unleashed on the streets. Now a giant ball of death was headed straight for them, and there was nothing that they could do about it.

The tops of the buildings had now been reached by the ball, and began to buckle and crumble away as it proceeded to crush them. Alasdair knew that he had to be fast, but for some reason he laughed with excitement. He was having fun!

"Woooo-hooooooooo-YEAH!" he picked up speed, swerving in between civlians, narrowly missing them.

Bits of the roof of buildings fell down onto the street, crushing many people as others fretted in circles about the hopeless situation. This did not phase Alasdair; it was entertainment.

As Alasdair came towards the end of the area in danger of being flattened by the ball, he noticed that he was minutes away from being crushed.

As the ball was just about to make contact with the top of his head he suddenly dropped the bike onto its side and skidded out of the way. His head, as close as possible to the floor without making contact, again very narrowly avoided being crushed as the energy finally reached the ground. As the gap was closed he heard the final screams of civilians, those that had knelt in prayer or in a pathetic attempt to avoid the blast. When the noises stopped he smiled at the knowledge that everyone was crushed.

"Damn... Looks like I'm gonna have to find myself some new toys" he said, lying on the ground with his bike still between his legs. He stared at the ruined city for a very long moment, now completely unrecognisable.

Several hours later Alasdair arrived at the entrance to the tunnel at New Jersey which the heroes were travelling through, and sat outside. He knew that they were planning on leaving so he decided to surprise them as they left.

"Now... All I have to do is wait" he smirked and sat down on the floor, arms crossed and head looking towards the sky.

"Ha ha ha. Raym... You're gonna wish you never challenged me".

OOC - Terrible post really. I'm really tired and such so I can't think. I'll go back and edit it at a later date, but I just needed to post it all out otherwise I'd be way behind.

Anyway Alasdair should be up to date now.

I'll post again for Sarvophis tomorrow.

TAYLANA
Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean

The Elemental paused and looked directly at the girl. An amused smile flickered across her features, lips parting slightly with the expression, fanged canines poking almost lazily from beneath. "Respect my elders?" Repeating those words brought a giggle that was almost hysterical to Taylana's lips. "Ohhhh, dear little one... if there is one thing you need to learn about me, it is that I respect no-one but myself."

She threw the girl another fanged grin before looking at Anastasia. "You want to see the powers housed within us?" Again that mocking laugh as her head tilted back. "If you truly are our Elder and believe you are stronger, surely you should KNOW the extent of our power... being... stronger, as you say and all."

Turning her back on the girl, Taylana sighed softly. "You're just a small fish in my mighty big ocean. You are no concern to me, child."

------------------------------

ARIA
Over the Hills and Far Away

Aria growled, rather uncharacteristically as the other girl in short, told her to step down. "I'm NOT a child!"

But before the conversation could go any further, there was a scream, one that cut through the Singer's hearing until she felt light-headed. Forcing herself to look up, she found her brother defending her.

Her natural instinct was to run as hard and as fast as her legs could manage... but she couldn't. To do so would mean leaving behind this little ragtag group that she was slowly growing fond over. So the tiny girl unclipped her harp and closed her eyes.

She didn't know what was going to happen. She did not know what was even attacking them. But she had to do something.

Fingers plucked gently at the strings, a melody she had known since childhood rippling through the air around her. Her voice soon picked up, rising and falling to the notes being played, lifting gradually higher and higher in pitch. There were no notes this time, she hadn't expected there to be. Instead, she let off a soft white aura as her voice rose in a crescendo, her song gradually rising to it's more powerful verse, serene face calm as though she hadn't a care in the world.

(OOC: Don't ask... just... rolling with things here I guess. Need Damon to post before I can post with Saul again though. ._.)

Raym felt the notes like a piercing knife go straight through him, clutching his head in pain and anguish he screamed out. feeling the rage inside him beginning to subside, but he couldnt let himself be defeated so quickly, fixing his gaze upon the party in desperation as it seemed he raised his staff high into the air and bellowed out loudly "NIGHTMARE!!"

He knew he couldnt sustain himself as long as the music was playing, and his only hope was to use the singers own fear against her in order to break her concentration while he gathered his composure.

OOC: Revan, a bit of foreshadowing ahead, so those fears may be coming true.

Kat-Contact

"I'm NOT a child!"

"I said that is....."

Suddenly, Kat heard a defeaning screech. Slightly panicked, she pulled out her shotgun and pointed it at the end they were coming from. Whatever it was...it wasn't human.

She then started to hear Aria play a tune, probably to improve morale. It also seemed to effect the unknown creature, as it screamed in pain from it.

"Whatever it is you're doing, keep doing it." Kat said. She then thought, "Maybe we can defeat this one too."

Unfortunately, the figure then raised it's staff, which released a mist of a purple substance that surrounded Kat. Through the fog, Kat eventually came to see what would be her fears, she saw her brother, a soldier in the German Army who recently came back from a Tour of Duty in Afghanistan, dead, impaled on a sword. The sight of this almost made Katharina have a heart attack, as she always feared of him dying. Walking backwards until she hit the wall, then sitting down, tears in her eyes and dropping her shotgun. Kat has, for the moment, lost the will to fight.

Kiko could see a figure off in the distance from the direction which a horrible screech came from. He grabbed his bow and an arrow. Just as he was about to fire off his shot, he saw the figure raise his staff. Hesitating slightly, which was uncharacteristic for him, he allowed the figure to utter a single word: Nightmare. After the word was said, a thick fog filled the area, and when it cleared, he saw a sight that he had always feared.

The sight was of his father, standing next to him, while both of them were on fire. As he saw this, his burned hand began to hurt like nothing he had ever felt before.

"Aaarrgghhhh!!!" he shouted, as he dropped his bow and arrow. He pulled off the glove that shielded his hand, and saw the hand was fine, but the pain was almost crippling him. He tried to pick up his weapon, but the pain was just too much for him, and he dropped down to the ground, still howling in pain.

OOC: Here's a good time for you, Revan.

ARIA
Dead Gardens

"Whatever it is you're doing, keep doing it."

Well that was easy for HER to say, Aria thought, fingers still dancing across the taut strings of her simple harp. The song was one she knew by heart, but soon it would end and she would have to start it again.

The scene around her blurred and shifted. The singer blinked, trying to clear the sudden fog that was marring her vision... only to find it wasn't disappearing. Bronze eyes widened on the scene being played before her, almost certain this was some song induced dream.

A girl, probably around Aria's age, stood with her back to the Singer, laughter rippling around her. The girl's light golden blonde hair seemed to shimmer in the hazy light as she turned, copper red eyes fixing upon ... herself.

Aria stared at her double. The mirror Aria wore a long white dress, splattered with blood. Red smeared her hands, arms and face and there was an almost hungry look in the eyes. Tearing her eyes away from this ghastly apparition of herself, Aria's eyes rested upon a slumped over form at the double's feet. The body was kicked over into full view, chest carved open, glassy eyes staring at the Singer, devoid of all life.

The song that had all but petered to a stop, halted completely as Aria's voice broke and fingers faltered upon the strings. "Mom..."

The apparition laughed maniacally, the sound of crunching bones punctuating the air as the young girl turned her eyes back to that horrific version of herself to find Koodori's body in a death grip. Bones were slowly being broken as the Double relished in the pain not only ripping through the Dancer's body, but the agony that was displayed so painfully across Aria's face.

"NO!" Aria yelled, dropping her harp and falling to her knees. Tears trickled in rivers down her pale cheeks as she turned her eyes back to herself. This was what Aria feared the most. The darkness within her taking over and destroying those she loved the most.

The double laughed. "You will never escape me... you're already tainted! That ability you've recently discovered? Keep using it and you will become the you that haunts your dreams, Aria... Me!"

Aria wept, incapable of anything but despairing in the fact that she was terrified in becoming the apparition before her.

PRESCIENCE

Bones walked up behind the young woman, who he had watched crumple to the ground, giant sobs racking her frame. Reaching down and placing a comforting hand on her shoulder, he spoke, hoping to break through her nightmare and reach her rational mind. "Be strong, coeur. Not many are lucky enough to know their own weaknesses as intimately as you do. This thing, this ... darkness inside you, it is too much for you to bear now. But in time, coeur, in time you will conquer it. You will bend it to your will. You will control it, and it will not control you."

Leaning farther down, he whispered into Aria's ear, words for her and her alone to hear. When finished, he left her side, sliding once again into the background.

Shogun- A Strange Fear...

As each member of the party became ingulfed in the clouded mist the pulsed from the creatures staff...as did Shogun...blanky staring into nothingness as the mist took the shape of her greatest fear....

It was that of an athletic young man, that she reckognised all too well...

"Dane...is that you?"
She managed to utter taken aback by the apperation that had appeared in front of her.

The Spectre wandered towards her and simply uttered a few words..."My sister....how could you..." the words did little to disguise the pain held within the voice of the spectre..forcing Shogun to fall to her knees and shake her head in denial...

"I didnt mean to, I didnt want to hurt you...I just didnt know that ...I..I"
Before she could finish her sentance, the spectre suddenly disappeared and she was left on her knees with the rest of her comrades...the Wraith nowhere in sight.

=================================================================

Raym- The Opportunist

As each hero became enthralled and seemingly kept out of harms way by the nightmares, Raym saw his opporunity and took it, noticing a particular weakness in the eleven archer....he thrust himself forward into the chest of the Archer, painfully bleeding his way into the body...The Archers facial features began to alter as did his eye colour...Raym hoped that by possessing this hero, he would have an opportunity for a suprise attack...and with it Aria's hopeful swift removal from his memories forever.

As he assumed control of the body, dominating over the weakened will of the Archer...he dispelled the nightmares and knelt on the ground, pretending to be the none the wiser as to what had just occured...in truth he was doing nothing more than playing a deceitful bluff.
