Are you typically one of those that likes to stay until the very end of the movie and see if there's an extra scene after the credits roll?

Honestly I get a bit impatient sitting there with the people I'm seeing a movie with just to see if there's anything after the credits. It's not a big deal for me, and it makes it worse when I see the workers all lined up down the hall waiting for every single person to leave so that they can clean up.

I understand if people want to see if there's a possible sequel, and that's fine and dandy. But boy is it a bit annoying when I just want to leave and everyone's like, "No wait, let's see if there's anything after the credits!" and you sit there in silence, and the screen turns completely blank moments later. But anyway, despite all that, it also depends on the movie. Sometimes I won't mind the post-credit scene at all if it's a movie I was really interested in.

They're known as "Stingers" in t'industry.

I stayed after Iron Man 2 to see the stinger for Thor, though that was only because everyone I was with knew about it and wanted to see it.
Typically, I don't bother with them. Mostly because I'm usually not that interested to see them. It's a wonderful trick to get people to sit through the credits, and it used to annoy the hell out of me that they would do it. Now though, I can appreciate the logic behind them.

I tend to prefer to watch the credits anyway, whether there is a post-credits scene or not. I'm odd like that. :D At least I do this with films I enjoy. I think that sitting through the credits is a way to get the whole experience that the film was trying to offer you. As the theme tune plays you reflect on what has happened in the film, and replay the parts of the film you liked in your head. I tend to enjoy just thinking about the movie as the credits roll.

So I do like to see if there is an extra scene if it is a movie I enjoyed, and I'm not in a hurry to leave. If not then I don't feel frustrated as I tend to enjoy reflecting on the movie anyway during the credits.

I don't see movies that often anyway, but when I do go, I like to sit and wait through the credits to see if there's anything that comes up after. It really depends on what movie I'm seeing and how good it was. If the movie was total crap, then I won't stay long. If it was good, I'll stay through the credits.

I remember the first time I saw one of those Pirates of the Caribbean movies, I didn't sit through to the end of the credits and missed that one part where
Elizabeth is waiting for Will to come back on the ship
. Yeah, I don't even remember anything about the movie, but I remember being glad that the second time I saw it I stayed and saw that part. It's really a nice extra.

I always stay to see if there's something at the end. Like Argor said, it's nice to sit and listen to the music, because it usually acts as a nice way to tie up the movie, or lets you think about the things that happened in it. Plus sometimes there are interesting or funny things in the credits. One that I'm thinking of in particular was Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban--throughout the credits they showed close-ups of different pieces of the Marauder's Map that you didn't really get to look at during the movie, and they played snippets of music from some of the different scenes that reminded you of those parts, sort of like a short emotional summary of the story. And the end credits of Lord of the Rings: Return of the King had some really beautiful drawings of the characters, along with an amazing song by Annie Lennox :awesome: Plus, a lot of times I'll want to know where something was filmed or what the name of a particular song is, and those things are usually mentioned towards the end of the credits, so I have to wait anyway. And another nice thing is that most of the other people in the theater won't stay that long, so you don't have to wait in line to get out when you're ready to go. And really, tbh most of the blurbs at the end I've seen after the credits have been interesting enough to stay for. So yeah, I suppose there are lots of reasons why I like to stay and watch ^_^

I'll usually stick around to see if there's a post-credit scene. If there is one, it was worth the wait. If there isn't, it doesn't matter because I always go to movies with friends, and we usually just talk about the movie and such during the credits anyway, so it's not like we just wasted a bunch of time for nothing.

As a sort of joke, every movie that my best friend and I have gone to see since Iron Man, we've sat through the credits whilst announcing that everyone who was leaving was going to miss out on Samuel L. Jackson approaching the main character of the film about the Avenger Initiative. We've got a few people to play along and stick around in the theater with us at a few films.

Naahh. I'm far too impatient to sit there and watch all the credits. :mokken: It's not all that important to me. The credits take far too long :mokken: and are far too boring. (Well most the time anyways) so no, it's not all that much of a big deal. I don't really care too much for the post-credits I just don't find it that important and I usually get up and leave. Sometimes i'll see who played who but I just can't sit there and wait :gonk:

No way.

As soon as the movie finishes Steve and I are out of there before we get stuck behind everyone.

We're far too impatient to see if there are any extra scenes and more then half the time there aren't any extra scenes after the credits anyway.

Credits bore me and it would not be worth my time sitting there and waiting for a possible scene to pop up.

I usually don't stick around. If I've just been sitting through a long movie, I'm always keen to stretch, stand up and go out into the sunlight again. I'm a rather impatient person anyway. Also, I hate it when a large group of people are all trying to get out through the doorway at the same time. By leaving as soon as the credits start rolling at least I'll be out of there much more easily.

Even if I do miss something, it's not necessarily any great loss. If I enjoyed a film a lot, I can simply purchase it on DVD later and see everything. Credits are just dull to sit through anyway and mostly a bit of a waste of time. I remember one time I had to sit through the credits of National Treasure 2 because my friends wouldn't let me through while throwing popcorn at each other. xD

I've stayed behind a few times. But generally I just leave straight away unless there is something playing as the credits start rolling. From my experience the post-credit scenes are rarely any good anyway so I'm not exactly bothered if I miss them. If I'm watching something on my computer though I will normally skip to the end to see if there is anything.

Only ever done it with a few. And it kinda depends on the people Im seeing the movie with. I stayed for Wolverine, Iron Man and Hulk.

With me it depends on how much I enjoyed the movie. If I enjoyed it I will usually stay and watch the scene if there is one. If it was a bad movie then no. I barely managed to watch the said movie so why should I watch the scene when I know it won't really interest me. At least if it is on DVD/Blu-ray/whatever you can just fast forward through the credits but if it at the theater, like I said, it has to enjoy it somewhat to wait through the credits.
