Im so angry at my friend. K, we were at her house and she had to go out. So we went upstairs to get her stuff packed. Now her room is the same size as mine, but its pretty basic ... ish. She seen my room and said it was ... lived in. Now I wasnt going to argue with her as she has her opinion. But last night she had the nerve to say she wanted to clean my room!! My room is fracking clean!! HER place is a mess and theres barely anything in there! Clothes thrown everywhere, mugs, plates, knives and forks, dirty underwear, hairdyer, books, etc thrown around the room and on the floor, I could barely stand up!

Now my room is tidy and as people have said organised chaos. I know where EVERYTHING is and can find EVERYTHING! It doesnt need to be touched. But I was so offended when she said she wanted to tidy my room for me!? She cant even tidy an basic room, so how will she cope with mine??!?!?

My room is my sanctuary and its basically me. The walls are covered in posters, figures, calander, there are teddies, bags, bookcase, DVD cabinet, etc in there. Its my hiddy hole from the world, so I have it the way I wish. I was so annoyed lol, still am.

So hows your cave? Is it a palace or like me organised chaos??

Organized Chaos is a perfect term for mine.

Its not "OMG, who the feck lives here!?" bad, but its a great place to be. I dont have things on the floor, rather they are spread out untidily on elevated shelves 8F. My room is my room. I like the way it is. I would not allow someone to tell me they wanted to clean it unless they were my mom or girlfriend :mokken:

The only reason I wouldn't trade in my room is that I get my own bathroom. But the rest of it is pretty cheap and dinky so I have to make use of it as I can. Having no table means I have to animate on the floor. I'm gonna get a hunchback....

Mostly everything is as organised as I can make it, but stuff tends to find its way onto the floor or next to my bed.

chaos is too great of a word for mine, there is crap everywhere, yet im fine with it as long as there is no rats, i guess you could say its what a land fill with would floors would look like

My room is quite neat now, actually. Everything is on shelves:
Top: TV, Xbox 360
Second row: Wii, PS3, PS2 (plus respective games)
Third row: Game guides, old Nintendo magazines + Xbox 360/PS3 games, DVDs
Fourth row: Books, organised by author. Shannara series, then Eddings and Malazan series, then an entire shelf to the Riftwar Cycle after that
Bottom row: Boxes. Boxes have DS game boxes, SNES/N64, and random appliance boxes in them.

My floor is miraculously clear. I have some nice posters as well...Pokemon ones, with a massive Twilight Princess one. I've got some more posters though, so I might have a swap around somewhen...

Before I cleaned it up at Christmas, my room was a complete tip. You risked breaking your neck on wires and whatnot every time you went in. I'd often conduct the business of switching on my consoles and such from my bed, instead of crossing the floor. XD;

I'll take a picture when I've got the time~

When I had my own room at home it was usually always decently tidy, with a few random clothes being on the floor from time to time.

I used to always get the shits when my mum tried to make me clean it every day and said that she couldn't stand looking at it every time she walked past.

I told her to just shut the door if she hated it. XD

But for most of the time it was organised. I had a nice desk with a computer. Nice T.V stand with PS2, DVD, T.V, games DVDs etc all stacked nicely.

I had a roller door cupboard that hid any messiness and yeah that was basically it.

No posters or anything because mum didn't want us to ruin the paint on the walls, seeing as it was a new house and all.

But now that I've been sharing with Steve the past couple of years in our own house, it's not mine or his. It's ours.

So as long as no clothes are on the floor and such it's tidy.

A bed, beside tables and a hutch and tallboy. One each for our belongings.

My room is a... woman cave, basically.

Everything is very organized, yes, but I get lazy and use my armchair at my computer desk sometimes with my blankets, and end up leaving them there. Sometimes I'll leave glasses on my end table, but if I do, it's only for a short while. No bugs or anything like that.

With my video games and movies, ugh I'm so organized it's crazy. I keep my video games in order from genre, and my movies, they're in alphabetical order. My TV is on a stand with my PS, PS2 and PS3, and on the shelves below there are my video games, movies, strategy guides, and then my books. You know what, here is a picture. (I'm going to regret that.)

I have my clothes neatly folded in my dresser, and next to it I have all my hair products, lotions, perfumes, etc. They're just dumped into a basket. It works for me though, because in the morning, I don't like to spend extra time keeping everything organized.

My closet... let's not go there. >_>

And I have two posters. this, and this. What a surprise! :lew:

Nobody really ever told me to clean my room, my parents are very leniant on that kind of thing. I just always keep it clean myself, and usually I was the one to clean up at other people's houses on sleepovers, so they wouldn't get in trouble. Oh, and on a random note- I get extremely annoyed if anyone besides me eats in my room. It gives me the creeps just thinking about it.

All in all, it's definitely a hidey hole from the rest of the world.

My room's pretty clean...at least I like to keep things organized anyway, but it typically gets messy every few days because my daughter likes to spend time there and my husband likes to leave his pants all over the place. Drives me crazy. So when he does, I shove them in the closet so he won't be able to find it. Today I placed it on top of the toilet lid - I was a bit pissed off.

So yes, I'm kind of a neat freak. My bed has to be made every single morning, with blankets folded neatly and pillows on top. There's a certain look that I prefer when it comes to my bed.

There's a few miscallaneous things here and there all over the room but at least it doesn't look disorganized.

Wouldnt say my room is all that messy. I tend to sort of pick my clothes up put it in the basket at the end of the day but not if im really tired. I'd say the only thing thats really messy is my closet since I dont use the damn thing for my clothes just kindof put little things in there and store. If it really gets messy I just clean it out. I cant stand food wrapers etc in my room D= cups are ok if its water. Ive been better now that im older.

I can't say mine's a 'chaos'. It's fairly neat, and my female cousin, who once came, commented that my room was extremely neat, in comparison to hers. Looking at how messy her room is, I suppose that probably means mine may not be that neat. Nevertheless, agree that my room is neat to some extent.

Although there are some areas that are messy, particularly those areas that contain some of my homework, and textbooks, the other areas are sparkling clean, and organized as well. Good enough, to be honest, and a pleasant place to be in.

Mines probably about as organised as you could get simply because I'm only ever in my bedroom to sleep :wacky: Things such as my PS3 and TV are in the back room because it's comfier and warmer, especially since mine bedroom isn't all that big anyway, cosy nonetheless. The worst it gets is if I need to get changed quickly and I'll just throw my clothes onto the bed or into the wardrobe to sort out later.

Mines usually somewhere between tidy and.....well, not xD

My wardrobe and my shoe cupboard are sisater areas. Open that wardrobe door at your own risk, seriously, I cant even shut the doors properly because its vomiting clothes

My shoe cupboard I did clear outy not to long ago but it just looks a mess again, i dont put my shoes back neatly, I just launch them in there.....

My chest of drawers does tend to accumulate a lot of shit, all my hair stuff and make up piled about everywhere, Ive managed to keep that tidy recently though, mainly because I moved my stereo to my bedroom and that now acts as a shelf for all my hair stuff 8F

I have a few pics on my walls and 2 notice boards ful of random crap from my life like train tickets and concert tickets and wotnot, No doubt Il end up with mre and my walls will just be chaos, but I dont care, its my room

Mother used to drive me insane when I lived at home though, my room there was definaeltly (organised) chaos, I liked it like that, I PREFER the livedin feel rather than just another boring tidy room and I knew where ecverything was

Then mother could come along and TIDY IT :rage:

That used to drive me INSANE, I could never find anything -__-

I know where everything is, so it works. Yeah, there may be a pair of jeans on the floor and some cables lying around, but you can see the floor.

My room is often very chaotic, but I know whereabouts most things are.

I know my way around my room. My bedroom isn't exactly very big... It only just about fits a (wide'ish) single bed, a several shelves and a wardrobe. There's not a lot of floor to mess up. That said the floor is very messy at the bottom of my bed, but I'm going to start making an effort to tidy that up.

There's not much in my room of importance either.. I just keep souvenirs and merchandise on the shelves, books on the bookshelves etc, so I know where they all are...

The only thing dragging my room down really is my clothes on the floor, coming to think of it. Oh, it generally might look a bit messy on the shelves, but simply because it is bursting and there is nowhere to put anything.. But I know where things are located, mostly.... Whereabouts anyway.

So when are ya'll getting married?! :) - No No I kid I kid.. Sorry I know the M word is a harsh one.

So anyway... room, I always left my covers slightly untucked when I had a room of my own. Though I would always put stuff in certain places for my own content.. but of course the mother of the house had to move it to her "place" so that put a kink in on me.

I am a dude though, so occasional chaos was involved with my room for the exception of my computer and trophies.. that's about it though.

Haha. =P

Soon enough I hope. I want to look youthful on my wedding day. >.<

But I just remembered something.

When me and Steve were first going out, I would stay at his house every weekend and I found that I sort of classed it as 'our' room when I stayed there. XD

Whenever I went over, I immediately tidied up any mess from the previous week and sat all my things out where I wanted them like at home. XD

I'm so glad we have a bigger room now though and we don't have to share a single bed anymore. >.<

Sorry. What kind of girl leaves dirty underwear laying about?

I have a GUY friend who's room doesn't even have that!

My room is messy, I mostly have a bunch of stuffed animals laying all over the place. But not clothes. Especially not dirty underwear. That's just lazy and gross!

No offense or anything, I know she is your friend.

But yeah, I understand why you'd be pizzled.

My room has a desk with my iMac G3 on it. Drawers are full of discs and old floppies I can't use. Papers. Just junk. My dresser has all my clothes in it. My closet door won't close. My bed isn't made.

BUT I LIKE IT! AND NOBODY IS GOING TO OFFER TO CLEAN IT! IT'S MY PART OF THE HOUSE!!

Our room is dirty, no getting away from that at all. :mokken:

Everything is strewn all over the floor, and we're pretty sure we've forgotten what a clean desk looks like. :ffs: We've tried to clean it, but we've just got so many books that we can't seem to find any place else to put them. :mokken:

However, we know where everything is, and everything is somewhat important to us. So we would call it organized Chaos. :mokken:

The Lions den

So, I totally hate it when anyone goes in my room without my knowledge or permission, and I equally hate it when someone has been tidying around in there.

Its my room dammit, my personal living space, and everything that's lying about is exactly where it should be!

Dont it just do your noodle in when someone has been snooping around your room?

That happens a lot with me as my brother regularly barges into my room without my knowledge (usually when I'm not inside) to search for things- resulting in a mess nearly everytime. I might need a lock at this rate.

But if it's somebody kindly offering to tidy my room or for another benevolent reason, I wouldn't really object. I might be a little irritated if they move something I didn't want moving, or if they knock a few things down, but I wouldn't necessarily hate it.

If my parents move things around in my room, I'm not really in a position to yell back at them because it's still their house and they have the authority.
