Like the title says its less than 1 week until New years!:yay: and all that?

What are you guys planning for the new year? any new years resolution you care to share with the Forum? I plan to get more sleep and I resolve to be
more magnanimous and altruistic.

OMG all week I've been saying to people that my only goal for next year is to save ALOT of money. XD

No more impulse shopping.

No more of this takeaway business.

All I want to achieve is to get my savings accounts growing again.

As for my New Years plans, I don't really have any.

I get a three day weekend which is always good, but I don't know if we'll be going out to anyones house to celebrate at all.

If anything we may go to our mates but I don't think I really want to to be quite honest. XD

I tend not to have New Years resolutions because I know fine well I won't stick to them if I think I have to do something. I tend to just go with the flow all year and whatever happens, happens. New Years itself, I'll probably end up going out. :)

Fuck new year and fuck hogmany. I hate them both. I despise the whole new year obsession. I dont make resolutions as il never ever ever ever keep them.
Gimme a bottle of morgans around 3pm and il head out later in the nite >_> thats all i wanna do.

Although I make a resolution every new year, I end up never keeping it. This year it's gonna be to stop smoking *again*. I must have tried at least 5 times this year but I always gave up after one or two days. I really wan to stop because it's ruining my health and because it cost me a decent amount of money per week. I guess I just need to have some extra motivation but I don't know where to find it. I actually planned to stop smoking tomorrow.

My second resolution is a materialistic one. I want to save enough money in 2011 to buy two turn tables, a mixer and a new pair of headphones. I really miss mixing music and it was a hobby that I loved. I need at least 2000$ to get a decent set but with the money I save from stopping smoking, I should make it.

As for New Years eve, I'll probably go to my friend's house. Most of my friends from high school will be there. Some of them have kids now so they don't want to go out but it will be fun. After midnight I'll probably leave them and go to Soma 2011, the new Years celebration rave party. I might end up seeing people I know but that I haven't seen in a long time. I just want to dance because I love that:yay:

Where the hell has 2010 gone?! :rage:

Anyways...I know that, weather permitting, mother et. al will be going down to my grandparent's for New Years, leaving me here by myself...unless I decide to accompany them anyway, which seems about as likely as my becoming a nun. So I'll probably be stalking the forum, trying to keep myself awake to see 2010 out.

New Year's resolutions...I resolve to complain less! :awesome:

...OK, I haven't thought about any resolutions I'll actually keep. I don't tend to make New Year's Resolutions, other than to sustain my academic performance.

Nowt, I never seem to enjoy New Year, summat always goes tits up. Im out the week after, and Helens round here the 30th, so I plan on being hungover. I'll likely be in bed before midnight :wacky:

Normally I don't do anything too special for New Years except stay up till 12. Oh wait, I do that every night. But this week my friend is supposedly having this huge New Years Eve party that's from 4PM to 12AM, and I told her I'd go. If its a good one, I'll consider staying the whole time it lasts~ Other than that, nothing else that I'm planning. I may or may not go out for dinner with my other friend ~

i'm going to one of two parties. not sure where yet. probably end up in town afterwards, but hopefully not before midnight because it's never good around that time.

i won't be making any resolutions. i'm against the whole concept of waiting until a certain date to decide to make a change in your life. if it bothers you enough to do it at all, you should do it there and then instead of waiting until the start of a new year.

I'm not doing anything because I'll be away from any family members by then and all my friends are back home for the holiday. It would be nice to go out for a massive piss up but my current circumstances means it has to be this way. I don't really mind all that much when I think about it. :hmmm:

And resolutions are completely pointless in my eyes, for the same reasons the Doctor stated.

I plan to carry on like its another day. No celebration necessary. It's gradually becoming less and less important for me. I'll either be lesson planning or playing video games.

Hrm, my ny resolutions is just to save money, save money to finally get a garden for my house, some curtains and a trip to Thailand!

Well New Years Eve if my favorite holiday :D

I think this year, John and I are going to have a few close friends over to our apartment. We'll do some drinking, play some video games, watch movies, and then watch the ball drop at midnight. I'm looking foreward to it!

As for resolutions, well I never make them. So I do not plan to do so this year.

This whole time of year is irrelevant to me:hmmm: interesting that l make a thread about it then :lew:, but its just another day, you go out to friends place get totalled and spend the next day dopey as hell.

Its good enough to just celebrate the end of the year, resolutions? just more excuses
for most people?

Im going to a mates party to play guitar hero and hit on strange woman:awesome:

I'm not really a New Years resolution kind of person myself either, however theres things that I need to do, so I'm going to start doing them come January like:

Save money to pay off my car earlier and then I can start saving up for my condo.

Graduate school!!! :ohshit:

Other than that, I think I'll be okay in 2011...and ick, an odd numbered year. I think the worst part about the year's turnover is remembering to write and sign 2011 on your checks and whatnot. I'm sure I'll be writing 2010 for at least the first week of January :rage:

to think, about a year from now

we are all going to be speculating what paranoia suggests to be the end of the world

at least i can say i dont have any regrets

but this year? hopefulllly ill be having more alcoholic beverages :monster:

...that come to mind immediately

edit fuck tesxt for matting

I tend to enjoy New Years more as I don't really celebrate Christmas all that much, so it's like this time of years big thing for me. I'd happily celebrate the end of 2010 and the beginning of a new year. 2010 has been bollocks for me and I'm glad it's almost over. The intention, as always, is to start drinking as early as humanely possible and at some point go to the pub for as long as my body can handle it. Maybe get lucky.

I don't normally do New Years Resolutions but this year I kinda shall do; keep up with college, finish with good grades and get into uni.

A year from now (or rather, in November) I'll be playing the hell out of Uncharted 3. :D And hopefully secure with a teaching job, but that's all up in the air at this point.

Same here dude, so I'm probably gonna go a big Casino that we have around here, and get drunk. hopefully get laid too in the same day just like last year XD!!!

I like this time of year because it's always fun. I can't wait.:gonk:

The only reason I've made my New Year resolution is because the resolution I want to make came at the appropriate time.

Save more money next year, which is right after Christmas.

How can anyone save a decent amount of money with Christmas lingering about? XD

That is the only thing I am going to try and achieve. >.<
