Do you post in spam, and why?

Personally, I post in spam quite often. I wasn't too fond of it when I first joined. I was more an RP person. But now I find myself enjoying it quite often. I just post in there for a bit of fun and an ever-changing topic of conversation.

What about the rest of you?
 
I post whenever I feel like posting randomness or when someone starts a thread that I find kind of funny. It helps me control the random beast inside of me. I don't post very often, however, which is odd, as I am most active there than any other place. Spam sometimes helps me with real life issues, so that's a bonus, too.
 
I do it occasionally whenever I spot a thread interesting enough. It's usually also when I'm bored, don't quite fancy going onto the SB and when there's nothing else to post about.

I wasn't really keen on it in the first place as well. Initially when I first joined, I thought it was just a weird little section full of unintelligent chattering. :lew:

(Which it sort of is. :wacky:)
 
I can understand that. I thought that at the beginning too. But the thing is it can give you the occasional laugh if the topic is right. That's why I go on it so often.
 
When I first signed up I stayed away from the Spam section like I did with every other forum I had joined.

However, just in the last six months or so I've found myself going in there when I'm bored and just feel like posting.

I mainly go in the Sector 7 Slums to play around with the game threads but don't really go into the main Spam section.

Usually by the time I get to the real spam the threads are already 50 pages long with posts that only consist of smilie faces or 'No you' or 'GTFO' or something else that doesn't really make sense, so I don't bother. >.<

When I joined at first I stayed away from it xD. But, it's not all that bad

The Sectore 7 slums are probably the best. Games are fun every now and then =P.
 
One of my very first posts when I was a noob was in spam, but it was essentially saying how much I dislike spam and that I wouldn't be going to the Spam Colosseum very often...

Flashforward to a few months later and I'm sadly a regular. :sad2:

I do prefer to post in the post count sections, not only because of the benefit of getting post count +1 for each post, but also because I tend to write longer-than-necessary posts anyway.

Spam topics get my attention quite a lot though because they are usually funny / semi-funny / member based topics which are good for chatting, lol'ing and just having fun.

It is often annoying how fast some of those spam threads build up posts though... Within a few hours a single spam thread might have 10-50 pages. :rage:! To hell am I going to read all of that (which I do, actually, in many cases :brooding:).


I prefer the games forum of Sector 7 Slums, but I keep the separate from Spam in my mind. The way I see it is that Sector 7 Slums is only a sub-forum of Spam because it is a games section with no post count, and are of a relaxed nature. The games for the most part do keep their structure and don't get too out of hand, so I don't really view it as spam as such, though technically it is.

The other day I actually came across a post of yours from a little while after you joined where you said something to this effect. It wasn't in spam though...trippy. :confused:

When I first joined I didn't really go in there that much. Although I've recently been posting in there a fair bit simply because most of the other sections bore me nowadays.
 
There's only so much you can talk about Final Fantasy before it gets boring. After that, people just tend to stick around for the banter and to keep up with mates, and that's the case with me. When I joined I wasn't really all that bothered about the FF side of the forum, and my interest has just disappeared since then. The best sections of every forum are always spam.
 
I do it when I feel like it or if I'm feeling loopy at night. I also love finding all sorts of hilarious treasures in spam. The spam sect's like a box of Chocolates: you never know what yer gonna get!

Spams also a way to get questions answered quickly or if you want people to know about certain things.
 
When I feel like it. I think most of the posts on here are dull. All FF ones are people saying the same things over and over again, nothing new ever happens there. The Spam section isn't much better, 90% of the posts in there are shit too.
 
I can understand where you're coming from. Most of my posts are random and pretty much pointless. I do think you can find some good banter in spam though.

OT: (that means On Topic for the smartones) : I post only when I see it above at latest 5 posts.
 
I rarely post in spam, maybe once or twice in a long while if a certain topic interests me, but again even that's rare also. I can't keep up with 30+ pages of worth of spam so I don't really bother. If it's something where I have to be off-topic, I really am pretty bad at that...
 
I used to live in the spam section, I have 8000 posts in the no post count archive, I was always posting in there <_<

I don't bother as much any more, I cant be arsed for the most part, if summat piques my interest in there, then I'l post, but these days I tend to just loiter in the SB maybe replying once or twice to a spam thread or 2, I cant be arsed keeping up with them now, Im mostly sticking around for folk now rather than the mass of pointless spam I used to do xD
