Do you know how to user a washing machine, or do you have no idea? xD

Personally, I have no idea how to work one at all. I just don't get them >_>

No I dont...well, i can use one but ive no idea if im doing it right, i have to get washing tablets becasue i dont know how much powder or what drawer to put it in. Cant go wrong with tablets. All I know is 3, 4 and 6 are the 30, 40 & 60 degree washes....

I know what drawer the fabric softener goes in though

also dont ever ask me to use a machine other than my own, I'd have NO idea how to work it :wacky:

Well I do, but I only ever use one setting. I'm pretty sure I shouldn't do that but when you have a huge batch of clothes and can't be bothered sorting through colours, fabrics etc I jsut stick them all on the same setting and get it over with.
It's ironing that is beyond me...

Yah I do... sort of. =/

However, my boyfriend had to teach me when I moved out of home lol.

He pretty much set it to one setting and added it to 'My Favourites'. So whenever I do the washing I just press 'My Favourites', and it's done. XD

I don't really understand the whole, 'Seperate your delicates' or whatever. I just seperate colours from white and in they go. Nothing bad has happened to any of my clothes yet.

I've never had to use one because my mum always does all that, so no, I don't know how to use one. It doesn't really look that difficult to do though once you've been told how to, much like anything else really. >_>

The only thing I know how to use in the kitchen is the oven, microwave, toaster and dishwasher; so no I don't know how to use a washing machine

There's too many settings for me to be even bothered to start learning, and since I parents do my washing anyway I don't need to know at the moment. If I don't know by time I've finished Uni, I'll go and find a river >.>

They're incredibly easy to work, you stick in the clothes then you pour in the powder. Then you press the switch in, spin it round, then pull it out. And then close the lid. Though I have no idea about hot or cold settings or anything like that. I can make it wash the clothes and that's all I really need to know about it.

Not really, i know how to do a quick wash and how to rinse but thats basically it. xD i leave all the technical bits to my mum, its probadly really easy but it looks so complicated.

Yeah I know how to use one, I only use one setting though. So I dunno if I'm washing my clothes correctly, there is probably a certain setting I should use for certain clothes, but what I do seems to work just fine.

Ours is all pretty easy, it's just a case of pressing a few buttons really. I always forget which compartment the tablet and the conditioner go in though, which would cause a big problem. :wacky: So far its never gone wrong for me though, touch wood...

Of course, as a male working the washing machine has been my number one priority since leaving the womb.

As pretend-sexist as I am, YES I do know how to work the washing machine, well the basic functions anyway, it's really quite easy. Knowing how to work it doesn't mean I don't let other people do it...mainly women since it's their duty.

I think every teenage male should know how to work the washing machine so that they don't have to say "mum, I had a wet dream, please wash my sheets" etc etc. It's very logical.

Is it me or am I sad excuse for a male for knowing how to wash my clothes? I mean let's see..

1) I separate my Whites from my Darks
2) Then I separate the clothes by Cold water vs Hot Water
3) Throw in Detergent and then a bounty ball on occasion
4) Dry anything that can't shrink
5) Iron out my Preppy Shirts

I have lived on my own since I was 18, so literally even though I have had my ex live with me and my current girlfriend, I have always done my own laundry.

Until that is recently, because apparently my girl likes to do it her own way because of the folding and B.S. like that... so I of course I don't care because I'm a lazy S.O.B. at heart.

I absolutely have no idea. :wacky: even though it is Automatic and all and has only one button to work with, I'm pretty sure I won't do well with it. >_> also I'm not familiar with many things cooking, washing, ironing yes ironing. >_> I'm pretty sure I won't survive alone. <_<

i used to not know how to use it becasue i had my mom do it for me but when i move i had to figure out how to use it. the one i had at my place is the coin operated one so it took me a while to figure out how i had to use it. but after i figure it out, it was pretty easy and not so bad

Yes I do know how to use a washing machine. I've been doing laundry since I was like 11 or so. It's very easy, but that's probably just because I've been doing it for some long. We also use powder and liquid detergent. Liquid (Dreft) is used to wash our son's laundry in since he is allergic to other kinds.

Although I will admit, sometimes I forget to switch the water level to "Small","Medium", or "Large" for the load size. I try to remember to look at that before I turn the washing machine on.

Mother gave me a crash course in washing machines after realising I'll have to do my own washing at Uni...thankfully, our washing machine is ridiculously easy to use: stick the clothes in, stick the powder and detergent in, flick it to 40 degrees and hit start then leave it for an hour and a half.

At the end of the day, give or take a few buttons, that's it. xD

I'm embarrassed to say this but I don't know how to do it.Mom does it so I never thought of learning how it is used.Maybe sometime in the future I'll be forced to learn...
Till then I doubt I'll learn, except if one day I really feel like doing the housework...Which is kind of impossible.

Seeing as my family only sets it to one setting, my mom taught me how to work one. I always end up screwing up the size of the load because it makes a really loud noise a and my mom gets mad xD. Other then that, i know it pretty well. Its pretty simple, just set it to the one spot like always, pull it out and volia! It does it all itself xD

Yes I do know how, ever since I was like 10, maybe even younger. When I was seven I would help my mom hand-wash all our clothes (took about 3 hours since we had to do my dad, brother, hers and mine) and even though they were already hand-washed, she likes to put them in the washer for some reason. >.> The washer was pretty small but I knew how to do it even though I never actually tried. Then when I turned 10 I started to get more involved with the whole washing machine process and tada, it's as simple as 1-2-3.

I know how to use our washing machine, anyone elses would be a mystery to me lol. My gran told me the only settings I need to know for my clothes and I dont alter it! Same with the tumble dryer lol.
