How do you view sarcastic people, who are basically sarcastic a lot of the time because it's just their natural wit?

I ask because I was chatting to someone the other day, and he was dealing with a difficult customer through sarcasm instead of showing his annoyance and getting aggressive. It was just hilarious. XD
 
Well having friends like mine you would have to be used to the use of sarcasm because its the only form of wit they have -__-

And trust me its not that fun when you have to be on the receiving end of their sarcastic remarks all the time.... -__-
 
Sarcastic people are fucking awesome. Unfortuneately, I'm about the only sarcastic person I know. Everyone else just thinks it's offensive, which is really annoying.

It's not my god damned fault people can't grasp sarcasm anymore. I'mma keep on using it, because Sarcasm is my friend. :mokken:
 
I love sarcasm....usually. When someone is really witty with it, its hilarious. Some people try to overdo it and just end up annoying everyone. But some sarcasm here and there is wonderful. I do it myself.
 
I like to sprinkle dashes of sarcasm into my comments every now and then. Some of my friends do it excessively though to the point where I just want to smash their face in . . . because they become blatantly rude about it. But scary violence aside, which I don't use by the way, I do like to insert sarcastic remarks 'cause variety is the spice of life. Honestly, if people don't get it, too bad. :P

Their loss; I think it's wonderfully effective.

But seriously, I think i'm pretty sarcastic. It kind of irritates me when I say something and they get their undies in a knot. In the sense that they don't get my personality. It's how am I ya know?


When it comes to other people being sarcastic ha go for it xD I don't mind at all in fact, i'll probably reply sarcastically right back at them.
 
I'm a tad rude with my sarcasm sometimes... and it's funny because someone will say something sarcastically offensive to me, and I'll respond in kind.. however I get the shit brick and to stop being such a rude bitch. :mokken:
 
They say sarcasm is the lowest form of wit. To be honest, I wouldn't call it any form of wit because it's just a way of speaking really. You would never call someone who's very sarcastic all the time a very witty person. Wit to me is something more along the lines of being sharp and quick on your feet. I certainly wouldn't pay to watch a comedian who was just being sarcastic on stage.

I think sometimes it can be done very well, but hardly anyone can pull it off properly in my opinion. It does irritate me sometimes when people think they're the shit by being sarcastic and try too hard to be funny when they're not. It's because it's easy to try but hard to be good at I think. Sometimes I think people are sarcastic and use it as an easy substitute to cover up the fact they're not witty, which sounds mean but some people just aren't etc.

I smell a bit of narcissism in that statement Ringo :rage:. I'm about as sarcastic as it comes usually, not all the time, because that's just being a flat out ass hole, but in certain circumstances.. yea. I have a fine tuned sense of humor, but I get tired of stuff that bores me and I just start being a bit of a sarcastic whore.

I use it every day, but again.. not over the top. It's just embedded in me, I don't know how to stop basically, nor with the humor. Meh.. always a comic at heart.
 
im pretty much only sarcastic if you ask me a stupid question. Other than that i find it rather annoying, its easy to see, i dont know why some people get so angry over it.
 
As a bit of a sarcastic myself, I tend to get misunderstood a lot. I also tend to get a lot of laughs as well, so the response is very mixed. Either people think I'm an asshole or people think my kind of humor is absolutely brilliant, which I'd much prefer they do.
 
I like sarcastic people, and I love sarcasm -- people instantly become likable to me through sarcasm, I myself use it 50% of the time its just how I am, I am a sarcastic person :mokken:

Sarcastic people are better than Hypocrites IMO :tehe:

In all seriousness, I don't know many sarcastic people. Every now and then I'll stumble upon someone using it, but they kind of... Don't get it. However, whenever I do it, people won't see it, won't get it, and if they do, it's mean. Not to say sarcasm isn't harsh, but sometimes I'll be joking and they'll get all pissy. :hmph:

For instance, one person in particular really couldn't grasp the concept of sarcasm at all. It would get annoying because they then decided that sarcastic jokes didn't exist. Seeing as I'm sarcastic about 95% of the time, it annoyed me greatly. -__-
 
No one can take it anymore, it really drives me nuts. They always get offensive, and I tell them they can't take a joke, then they're sarcasm isn't funny.
"Oh no, I forgot the bread.... oh jk" "I heard it in your sarcasm, you dont need to say the letters 'jk'" WTF?????

I find it rather fun to hear. After all, half the time, the people around me are simply talking crap, or being so serious it's hard to laugh. Being sarcastic is just one of the little entertainment I get from conversations, so long the sarcastic one doesn't overdo it.
 
I would say that in a lot of cases, I'm pretty sarcastic myself. And I'll admit that sarcasm can be something that when done incorrectly, it makes people think you're an asshole. :lew: When I say something sarcastic, I try to make it painfully obvious that I am joking so people aren't offended, and it does work for the most part. Even for people that tend to not understand me that well, they usually detect my sarcasm quickly. Even those on the internet pick up on my sarcasm quickly. But I have seen instances where sarcasm just didn't get noticed and people get bothered by it. I've even done so myself. :lew: But it does make for a nice joke mechanism. :ryan:
 
I don't like people who use it too much because you can never figure out if they're being serious or not otherwise. =/

A bit of it here and there is fine but I don't like it all the time.

It gets annoying after a while as well, especially when people have no idea how to do it properly.
 
I think sarcastic people can be very funny depending on how their tone is and how what they say is delivered. Some people can phrase things wrong and just seem like an ass while others can actually get a giggle and some form of agreement from you like, "Yeah that's so true". Most people dislike sarcasm because they either don't see the humor or simply think their tone or how what they phrased is in a harsh manner towards them.
 
Oddly enough I agree with UN. Sarcasm normally isn't very funny, people being sarcastic usually they think they are though. I think sarcasm works if it's particularly acerbic or caustic, but that's how I like my humour.
 
There are two kinds of sarcasm.

There is the Witty sarcasm thats only used at the right time

Then there is the negative irritating sarcasm that is used ALL the time about EVERYTHING you say.

I love witty sarcasm, if you can come up with something smart and funny off the top of your head in a sarcastic way, then you're a genius and my hero.
But if you use sarcasm to make someone feel like a massive pile or shit all the time, then you're probably just a sad lonely idiot who is tryign to make yourself feel better.

I am not sure if I am a witty sarcastic user but I do know I have used the nasty sarcasm before when I am angry.
