Why did you join the FFFourms?

:hmmm: when i went college a few years ago they have a forums... started using it.. liked it soo i looked online fore a good forum... never found one... one day i was looking for an answer on final fantasy IX about weapons and it lead me here.... i looked around for a bit and decided to join.... then i posted a bit and found out that I really liked it sooo i decided to stay.. i met some real nice people on here... created a fan club... I also finally know how to do the one thing i always wanted to learn.... how to use photoshop.... and now I kinda rule at it.... thanks Six (Kira) for your work getting me into graphics... best thing that i ever done :grin:
 
I joined in the run up to XIII, then disappeared when I had exhausted the info. Then resurfaced some time later (when it was released), much like what I criticised my pal Licky for, sorry old bean.

Harlequin x Licky and all that.
 
i joined because other forums didn't have enough video-game chitchat :wacky:

i also have always really enjoyed FF series, and the html here is top notch, :x3:

also best site for prettiest avatars and sigs no dizzoubt
 
A fellow member (Squee) and I both went to the same forum where I was a moderator (at the time) and he was mad because of something that had to do with him being silenced in the SB etcetera etcetera and he told me it was a Final Fantasy forum, and me, being an FF fan, decided to join (and because it had a shoutbox, I kid you not). I was still active on the other forum at the time, so I came here maybe...three times after I first joined. TTT told me not to talk about illegal pirating and such. Then I forgot about it till around the time I ditched the other forum to move on and settled here where I've met some good pals :grin: And everyone here had a PS3 instead of an Xbox which was also a plus :wacky:
 
I was only ever addicted to one forum before this and it got sold to someone else and then it just died.

I don't know if it officially exists anymore or whether it shutdown after everyone left.

Anyway, it was a few years later that I found this site and decided to give this place a go because I still loved Final Fantasy and no one around me did and I needed a place to gossip about it.

I typed in Google: Final Fantasy Forums and this place was the first thing to pop up.

I registered, but didn't think I would ever be as addicted to a forum again like the last one. Turns out I love this place more than the last. XD

I pretty much just live in Costa Del Sol now though when I'm online. >.<

It's pretty much my only hobby. >.<
 
I was big into FF back then I am sure; tis probably why I joined.
I mean, I like the series now but I don't play them that often anymore and I am mostly here for the GFX.
The GFX is probably why I am staying. Hah.
 
Gosh, I joined 5 years ago...so it was after my original phase of joining each and every FF forum I could. :lew: Still, I joined to meet people and make friends who shared my interest in Final Fantasy.

I came back because I wanted to get back into the FF community and continue talking to people here. :) I had left partly because of Uni and a lack of time. :(
 
I joined because I love FF, obviously, and wanted to chat/discuss with people who also feel the same about it. I also like discussing random stuff on here too :)
 
I am a member of Shinra Online who was involved in a 'raid' (if you could even call it that) of this place about 3-4 years ago? It was all because the guy who was the owner of this site, darkseifer?? (am I making that part up? I can't remember his name), basically came over to Shinra to try and poach members and boom, fireworks.

It was quite fun. But there's a real good community vibe around here, so I made some friends and I post once in a blue moon.
 
I originally joined for the sake of finding somewhere new, but then stopped after a short while.
I've now returned to promote my Let's Play of FF9, in the FFIX section, and to really start enjoying my forum-posting again :) . It's been a while :/
 
I joined because I haven't been part of a forum for about over 10 years and I miss talking to and meeting new people and you always seem to find some really decent people on them (for the most part) and I also like the fact that forums use posts rather than real time chat as I'm better at explaining my thoughts and views over emails or posts rather than real time such as over the shoutbox or MSN.

Apart from that I obviously love the FF series to bits and wanted to talk about it with like minded people.
 
I joined this place thinking it was another Final Fantasy forum I was stalking at the time. Turns out this clearly wasn't the forum I was looking for since I never saw the FFVIII roleplay I was lurking at the other forum(I'd never even heard of RPing before and it looked like fun) and the design was different. So anyways after leaving the internet for a while and returning I began looking for the other forum but ended up back here again so I joined a few roleplays here that were fun. The roleplays still keep me here XD

Still never found the first FFForum I was lurking at though :sad3:

I had been a lurker for a few years and finally decided to make an account. Also, some of the other forums that I posted on were falling apart and/or just boring in general.
 
I joined because at the time I was going through another FF7 obsession phase, and I wanted to share it with others. Then I stuck around cuz of all the good people around :inlove: It was my first forum and I didn't know what I was doing at first though hahaha

"What's a thread?" "What are those giant pictures under people's posts :gasp:"
 
At the time (2008) i was a ravid FF fan i was still playing the three FF from ps1 and the ones from PS2 and i was feeling like chatting with FF fans but almost a month after joining i passed to other rpgs since it was the third time finishing all my FF games na dlost touch with the forum.

Then almost four years later here i am after remembering that i joined here so decided to lurk around more often but now im a less FF fan thanks to.... well see my avatar message.
 
I honestly don't remember why I joined. Probably to express my love of FF with fellow fans, or something like that :busta:
 
I joined because I enjoy being on forums, and FF is such an all-encompassing game series with tons to talk about.
 
I joined after reading random threads for about a month and just LOLing at the jokes and all that. I decided it had to be fun, so why not join? I also wanted to join because I thought everybody here was pretty cool (and I was right) and didn't get mad at each other every 5 seconds like on other forums.

I'm here to stay now, and that's what's important. :)
 
I'd clicked on the place, look at it for a few seconds, then joined. I saw no point in lurking or stalking. I just wanted to try get involved.


I'd been roleplaying on other sites, so I was quite delighted to see the roleplay section on this site, so that's probably why I stayed...

And for the ShoutBox.
