Username theft

But that would confuse me. :D

I'd think that I am you. :O

Yes somebody would steal my name whenever I did a theme thing. Pokes Bambi in the eye.

Well, this is a daft thread, for a daft question really,

i was looking through the members list, as i was planning to return my name to Kira Yamato (The name everyone began to know me by) but i found a username theif who has stolen it back in 2008, totally not cool, so my Question is.

who else has ever had a username pilfered from right under their nose and not realize until it was to late?

Dude... I experienced the same thing!
My name should've been "Ovan" but then a random noob used that name and now, he's inactive :rage:

such a waste -_-

When I signed up, my first username attempt was to be Argor251, but some jackass took it already. :hmph: So I got Pockets instead.

Yes, that's true. :griin:

in smry, make good friends with staff, have a 1 letter name, and no one will ever take it. :awesome:

I've changed my username like 5 times total, and as far as I know the others are still up for grabs.

I just don't want them back. I like this one better and it's probably what I'll leave it as.

Pick a random word and make it your name. I can't picture anyone else using other tbh :hmmm:

How embarrassing. I deserve that. -__-

:reptar:

It's never happened to me. With my constantly changing obsessions in video games, books and films, I'm never really short a username. I bet there were a few miffed Lightning fanboys/fangirls when they couldn't take this name. :wacky:

It's a good thing you're keeping that name. One day a newbie among the 95% that never come back would have taken it and never fucking returned, leaving it inaccessible forever. -__- Someone did it with Rinoa recently. I'm yet to see him/her on the forums. I don't think they even activated their bloody account. -__-

If I remember correctly someone (Pooley I think) came up with a trick to use a username that was already taken by using a character which looks like an 'o' but is recognized as something else by the system. In other words you can reclaim your name if it has an 'o' in it. :monster:
