I don't think anything like that is meant to be taken seriously tbh, though I suppose that depends on your take on it. I can't even change mine, according to my profile, its set to in love, fuck knows what that shits all about, but apparently, no one can see it.
So, personally, I don't take mine, nor anyone elses seriously. I don't even notice them tbh, unless it catches my eye coz it moves
I can't imagine folk would change it as and when their mood changes...
Mine can be, even though I never change it. Chances are, if I'm doing anything online, I'm probably bored (minus playing games...although sometimes I'm bored while playing them...if that makes any sense).
I don't change mine very often. Usually it's either "inspired" or "cynical," I experience both of those at all times, and which one I display depends on which side of the scale is heavier at the time Although, I will use "bored" whenever I'm feeling particularly cynical, since there's no mood status to express ">_>" and plain old "cynical" just doesn't cut it sometimes
Probably not. I've been to plenty of sites with that little mood app on the side, and people would always jokingly set their mood as drunk or horny when they really aren't. Half of my moods hardly reflect what I'm feeling in real life.
I usually forget to change mine for a couple days. When I remember it's there I'll change it to the mood that I'm feeling during that time. But after that I always forget about it and it just stays that mood up until that I can remember it again.
I don't always look at anyone else mood. They're not really noticeable when others post and I always look past them. Mostly because probably like me most people forget to change them
I've been a 'lurker' since that mood feature was installed on the site. Never bothered to change it because I don't really see the point. But alas, it's there. I'm a lurker, sure yeah whatever. Thumbs up to people who actually paid attention to everyone's moods and looked more into than they should have.
I'm always being cynical, so my mood is always cynical. I never really change it much. In fact, ever since I set it, I don't think I've changed it at all.
To be honest, I forgot all about this feature until you mentioned it. So maybe I will get around to actually using it. As for the original question, not really unless I just changed it. Odds are I will likely forget about it again and probably change it once every blue moon.
I used to change it somewhat frequently when I first joined. I would bounce between Fine, Inspired and Angry. Generally if I was angry then, it was because I got annoyed at work. That's basically a rarity since I've gotten better at my job and my boss doesn't bitch about it so much. Fine was generally what I would use, then I would change to Inspired on days I had my guitar lesson. Then it just got too hard to keep up with, and generally I'm inspired about one thing or another anyways, so it stays there.
I never notice it much anymore to be honest. I had it on lurking forever xD. I do not know why but I have not touched the feauture since when I first joined in 08 of August I do not take it seriously xD It is just there for FUN. Plus we already have the mood thread and all.
I think I've changed mine a couple of times and just left it as happy because I generally am happy.
Though 'Sick' would have been more appropriate for the last two weeks. XD
I don't really notice it too much.
It's not really something to be taken too seriously I think, unless you're friends with someone on the site and notice their status has changed from happy to depressed or something and you decide to question them about it.
I've never taken much notice of it actually. If I want a more accurate idea of the mood of people, I would just take a glance at the mood thread and read the entries. The little "my mood" thing here is just a small feature that was probably put there for fun and not to be looked much into. Having said that, I'm usually "mellow" even though about 75% of the time I'm clearly not. xD
I don't know what made me set my mood as 'Busy', but I guess it's been totally true for quite some time now. I am really busy beyond busy, to an extent that this mood itself is an understatement. Though, I do pick the moods that best reflect my present mood...
