There are a lot of these at the moment: we already have the God of War and Prince of Persia HD collections, with ICO/Shadow of the Colossus, Metal Gear Solid and Zone of the Enders collections on the horizon.
So, my question is this: which PS2/PSP games would you like to see made into an HD collection on the PS3 in the future, and why?
Here are a few I would absolutely love to see:
Disgaea 1/2 - They've already been released on the PSP, but packing the first two Disgae games together with the Disgaea 4 updated sprites would be awesome beyond belief. Being able to transfer saved character data, and utilise some of Disgaea 4's new features in the old games (well, mostly the original, which is still the best one) would be fantastic as well.
Drakengard 1/2 - One thing I am really craving right now is a decent game that lets you fight on the back of a dragon. Drakengard is one of those sadly overlooked games that actually combines decent air-based combat with ground-based combat. Some remastered cutscenes would be delightful, especially given how thoroughly disturbing some of them are. The second game is included just for the sake of it really - Drakengard 2 was good, but it lacked the insanity of the original. Perhaps they could include a little more content - like, the stuff Japan actually got - to explain NieR a little better as well?
Ar Tonelico 1/2 - Well, since Ar Tonelico Qoga is out, I'd like to see the first two parts of the trilogy brought out. The Ar Tonelico PS2 games are damned near impossible to find and murderously expensive besides, so it'd be nice to have them conveniently packaged in one for the PS3. Not to mention Qoga makes little-to-no-sense by itself...
Valkyrie Profile Lenneth/Silmeria - Silmeria in particular is one of the most stunning games on the PS2, it wouldn't take much to bring it to PS3. Lenneth, again, included for completeness more than anything else.
Final Fantasy X/X-2 - I'd like the International version of X-2...not to mention getting some trophies for killing the game's hardest bosses (WITHOUT cheating by using Zanmato, as well) would be nice...even though I'm not a trophy whore, I'd probably be motivated to do it. Probably.
Final Fantasy XII - The International version, with the Zodiac Job Board system, naturally. Like Silmeria, FFXII looks absolutely fantastic, so remastering it in HD for PS3 would only make it look better...and, given that its my favourite FF game, I'd love an excuse to play it again. Revenant Wings is highly unlikely, given its on the DS, but...I'd take what I could get. xD
