Hey guys what music do you listen when u play games?
name song + link if possible.

i like Canon Rock - Fun Two.

I actually don't listen to music when I game, unless I'm playing summat online, typically all I play really are RPG's and I rather like the music, so having my own over that ruins it for me

Other than that though, I'l listen to out when I'm gaming if I do have music on, stick my itunes on shuffle and Im away, so there;s no one song I could link really

I'm one of those people that tend to leave the sound of the games on, so to get the full experience of the game.

I sometimes used to turn the sound off if I was simply leveling up and not going through story, and when this happened I would turn my computer on and put my playlist on random.

These days my console (now a PS3) is downstairs, and so I can't have my computer blasting out music even if I wanted to.

I occassionally listen to music on my ipod, but so far the only game I have found myself do this for is Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, as music wasn't that essential in that (I'd keep the sound on, but have the music on mute or something like that).

Actually, I lie... I did the same for Fat Princess as well.

As for what I listened to... Well it really just depended on what I fancied while turning my ipod on. I'd sometimes put everything on random, and other times would play artists I feel the urge to hear.

So during the time I played CoD:MW I listened to a lot of The Cruxshadows, Voltaire and Peter Gabriel, and while playing Fat Princess I was at a phase where I listened to a lot of Depeche Mode and Oingo Boingo. But occasionally other artists would slip in there too in both cases.

I rather liked the soundtrack of Red Faction, so I didn't put music to that, and the same goes for the other games I play online.

I never tried to fit a particular song, artist or even genre to a particular game. What I listened to while playing really just depended on what I felt like listening to at the time.

I don't tend to listen to music while i'm gaming either. It's kind of distracting to me. Idunno, it throws me off >_< I like to have a quiet area when i'm gaming so that i'm more focused because when I game I get really into it so the slightest thing would frustrate me. Maybe instrumental music like Beethoven or something quiet and relaxing but deff not the type of music I usually listen to.

i always got music on when im playing for fun or when im just doing non important things.
but i love some relaxing songs for games where u need to do Quest and stuff if u know what i mean.

=)

We only put on music when we're playing MMO's. Usually when we do we listen to the Chrono Cross soundtrack. You'd be surprised at just how well the CC soundtrack goes with most MMO's. O_O

ahhh, well so you people play with game sounds lol,

i never play with them, mostly they just random songs like in every games.

that is put on my own music lol.

or the game tracks have to good normally i get irritated by whole day playing on 1 sound, drives me crazy.

It depends on what game I'm playing. If I'm online and I have to listen to teammates and what's going on in the game, I usually keep the music off.

If I'm playing a sports game though like football or basketball, I'll blast some rock music, Breaking Benjamin, Three Days Grace, BLink 182, yeah some punk too. Something that will pump me up.

Agree man, when i play gunz i need warmup i will put some rock on and im warmed in like 10 minits but when im playing clanwars and stuff ill keep it off aswell,

but my point is what do u listen when u put music on to relax or idk..

I'm the same as Busta.

Depends what I'm playing, but also if I'm in the mood for it as well. I'll stick on my iTunes on shuffle and see whatever comes up.

I only bother with music if I'm doing online play, and I never have a set kind of music to listen to when I'm playing. It's usually just whatever I'm listening to at the time.

I usually listen to the game's soundtrack--most of the games I've played have good ones--but if I'm level grinding for a few hours I'll throw something else on. Some of the most unusual ones are:

Chrono Trigger: The Rembrandts' album "LP"
FFVI: Seal's second album
And, Earthbound: Led Zeppelin "Houses Of The Holy"--for some reason "No Quarter" works SO well when you're getting towards the end, like in the swamps etc, it's awesome :awesome:

I listen to the OST of the game and that's it. It annoys me when music is playing in the background for some reason, I just prefer to have the music of the actual game playing since on the whole, regardless of the game quality it's difficult to find a poor OST.

Haha... I've gotten to where I hate listening to music that's not in the game while I'm playing the game.

The only time I did that was when I first played FFVII (fyi my parents hated video games) So I hid the sounds of the game by blaring Fall Out Boy.... Now every time I hear any song my that group I get the overwhelming urge to play FF7!! XD

Sad but true facts!

Well, I kind of just listen to whatevers stuck inside my head or Gallows / Muse / Nirvana / Whatever else i happen to dig up out of my old itunes library.

It depends on the game really. Some games, like FF, have superb soundtracks and don't need other music, but with more arcade style I like to play my own music after I've heard the gamesoundtrack for the 1000th time. I usually just pick something I want to hear at the moment, doesn't matter what.

But it also works the other way around, I often play Tetris while checking out new albums. That way I can still do something while actively listening to the songs :)

I almost always listen to the OST. The soundtrack has been geared to fit with the game and so listening to my own music would just ruin it. Also, I usually quite like the OST in the first place for the most part.

There was one time that I did listen to my own music and that was when I was training my character's jobs on FF5 Advance. It's very tedious because I was doing the Level 5 Death trick to the enemies underneath Galuf's castle so I just listened to my iPod and put it on shuffle.
