Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. I like all the scary stuff, the costumes, the decorations, the candy... Also a lot of horror movies are released and play on TV. I might also take my niece out trick or treating this year because I miss going myself XD

Do you like Halloween? Do you dress up? Do you like the scary stuff?

BTW, I am probably dressing up as a vampire this year. Not the gay sparkly kind. The scary, blood sucking soul eating, seducing back stabbing kind.

Also, I hate cute or slutty costumes for adults. Halloween is about being scary <.<. I don't care if kids have cute costumes though.

I dont really usually do anythign for it, though am off out with the girls for it this year, I usually stay in and close my curtains to avoid the trick or treaters :wacky:

I need to find an outfit though, one thats cheap seeing as im all spent up :rage:

it's a reason to go out and get pissed in fancy dress. i'll be going out this year again but i don't know what the plan is yet. probably a house party then town. i'm not too sure what to go out as yet though. i've been planning on elmo, but i think that might be a tad ridiculous (but completely awesome at the same time).

i think the whole trick or treating tradition is pretty ridiculous. i used to go when i was younger, but then as you get older you realise all you're essentially doing is knocking on someone's door and asking for money. any other day of the year and you'd get told to fuck off.

I have one problem with Halloween. It's that despite the holiday lasting for one day, it pretty much lasts for a whole month. All month you'll see Halloween this, Halloween that. As for the actual holiday, I guess it's alright.

I haven't really done anything for Halloween since I was in high school, no one I knew afterward really threw any kinds of parties or anything :hmmm: But I do miss dressing up sometimes. And I don't really care as much about the candy anymore because the main one that I find is specific to Halloween, candy corn, has gelatin in it for some reason, which is not vegetarian so I won't eat it :/ It's one of the less bastardized-by-commercialism holidays, however, so it is one of the ones I like better.

I thought Halloween was a American thing, but even here there is a select few that celebrate is somehow..

We dont do Halloween in general... we do have "sint maarten" its like halloween except the costumes. in other words pure candy collecting...

I wish we had halloween here :( it would be so awesome all those costumes and I would make the scariest haunted mansion I could possibly create :awesome:///

:( bummer...

Oh! I luvers Halloween! I'm gonna be a either a rockstar again or a prisonaer...I dunno, half of the fun is me just making a custom costume from bits and peices of old clothing I find! ^_^ and the candy is so omnomnomish!

Once I turned 12, Halloween just became a normal day for me. I have never really been much of a party person so if I do anything it will either be by myself and maybe hand out candy or with a small group of friends and have a horror themed night, mostly movies though.

I love Halloween. It's my favorite holiday next to Christmas. It's so fun and so spooky! I love that it revolves around scary things. I'm not much for candy but dang, I love a good popcorn night over a good thriller.

Like Kelly's, all will be closed in our house to prevent trick or treating little kids from coming up and demanding candy. :mokken:

Personally, I love Halloween, but it hasn't been all that great recently (well, okay I don't actually go out and trick or treat anymore as I'm way too old for that stuff :-)sad3:)). All the good Halloween themed cartoons are gone, my friends usually go other places, and it's generally miserable for me. :sad3:

I tend to stick to the simple things. I do get dressed up, and I tend to go trick or treating, despite being seventeen. My friends do it too. :rage: It's a great way to get sweets, and if you squat in a long robed costume, the people at the doors can't tell the difference. :monocle:

However, there is the getting dressed up and pissed aspect to it. Naturally, getting pissed at such a dark, mystical time (with new drinks and cheaper drinks too :wacky:) is more fun, for whatever reason.

Halloween is just a daft night to dress up in a costume and get pissed :wacky: It makes a change, but it's just a bit of fun at the end of the day really.

I was never into trick or treating as a kid, never really fancied it. Plus, I live in an area with a lot of grumpy old people who would have never answered their doors anyway :lew:

Actually, I've never done anything especial for Halloween. Most of my family were (erm...still are) religious traditionalist and say "Halloween is evil" so you can guess their opinion. On the other hand, I see Halloween as just another activity, not some kind of freakish cult or whatnot. Those who consider it and use it for that, well their business not mine. I am hell not going to make any kind of odd demonic deals or summon demons of any kind.

What I will do will be simple, find something fun to wear, have fun and forget about every day problems for once. I expect lots of religious propaganda raining upon us soon, heck I even have friends who send religious text messages and chain-like texts.

Nyeh, we don't celebrate here, though you'll get the occasional idiot who comes knocking on your door expecting you to have an endless supply of lollies and what not.

It's like, 'Hello we aren't America, we do not celebrate it. Get the hell off my front door step!'

It's really quite annoying. Halloween is never going to happen here like in America or wherever else it's celebrated. I don't know why these kids bother. =/

The only people who will have lollies to hand out are the people out trick or treating. So therefore they may as well stay at home and eat their own lollies. =/

Meh it was more fun when all of us were younger. Now I just keep the lights off usually. I dont dress up anymore. Halloween was never anything special to me tbh. It used to scare me when I was little but not anymore. Its pretty much a joke holiday to me. If my little brother wants to go trick or treating I am sure as hell not staying at the door and handing out candy :mokken: I HATE that kinda thing. It is truly only fun to me if you have plans with friends and such. I like those cosplay costumes alot. Some even wear them for Halloween. Too bad I wont find anything here.

We generally don't do much for Halloween, however a few of my friends do the whole dressing-up thing. It's not really anything that's ever interested me too much, but I've always enjoyed carving the pumpkins with my little brother!

Go as a a bunny again, I cannot stress how excellent a costume choice that was

We have a Halloween party on in college a week before the day itself, so I'll dress up for that and go get quite intoxicated. Then repeat the process on the 31st because I'm just that cool and original. I finally bought a costume for once so I'm looking forward to what I'll be wearing for a change.

Well, there's a college Halloween party coming up and I plan on going. I haven't really settled on what to wear at all this year, but a friend of mine confidently told me that he's turning up as Freddie Krueger, so I'm looking forward to that. :8F:

I live in an area where Halloween isn't really that popular at all. The residents just don't like the idea of kids running around in the dark asking for sweets and see Halloween as being just another stupid fad imported from across the ocean. We usually don't have many trick-or-treaters about. My next door neighbour did a good job of frightening them away a couple of years ago. But I'm not taking any chances either. I'll be out of the house. :andry:

Halloween is my favorite holiday by far. I always get to celebrate it dressing up in costumes and going to cool parties. My favorite thing are all the scary movies that are on TV. I'm a big horror movie fan so this time of year is like Christmas to me. And candy, who doesn't like all the candy?

This year I'm not sure when I'm dressing up as. My best costume I did was a ninja. Doesn't seem great but everyone digs an actual asian ninja. This year so far I want to go as the blue ranger from Power Rangers. Besides that, I was thinking of going as a zombie, because that way I could make my own costume
