Dress Styles

A little while back I put a lot of effort into my appearance simply for a day at school, but since then I've toned it down quite a bit. I always felt overdressed even when I really wasn't.

Now it's just whatever I can put together within the 15 minutes before leaving the house. I'll still make sure I at least match (granted it's pretty hard not to match with jeans and a blouse) and I'm still mindful of how I look- I just simply don't put as much effort in as I used to. For occasions like a party I'd certainly "dress up" for the event but I doubt I'd wear a dress for anything short of a wedding.

I really only wear three pairs of shoes throughout the year: moccasins, winter boots, and flats. 9 times out of 10 I'm in jeans. My closet consists of a lot more than just that type of thing but I don't really ever have the need to wear something dressier than that.

As for at home... shorts and a tee, or sweatpants and a sweater robe xD

I only really started paying attention to what I wear once I started uni. My whole elementary and highschool, I was always in uniform. Where I am, it can get really hot to a point where your thighs can start to sweat. That happens when I'm in jeans, so a few days in, and I stopped wearing them--it was so gross. :rage:

When I have class, I'm usually in shorts (sometimes a skirt, but only when I feel like it). I have them all in different colors and fit. :wacky: When I was a freshman, I was always excited with putting together an outfit, but now that I'm in my third year, not so much. I bought a lot of different colored v-neck shirts and floral tops and I mix them up. I'm also a big fan of hairbands (I started collecting this year), I wear one everyday.

As for shoes, I hate heels. :rage: I know I'm tiny and I probably need them, but to hell with it. :rage: I'll stick to ballet flats. They're comfortable and cute--I go crazy for those that have ribbons.

I have no style. :lew: Quite seriously, my getting ready period every morning consists of me finding a decent t-shirt to wear and grabbing a pair of jeans. Right now, I'm wearing Puma shoes, but they're way too cold anymore, so more than likely I'll be switching to a pair of boots soon. :hmmm: Usually that and any decent hoodie I can find is usually my normal dress for everyday.

I'm starting to wear a lot of watches and other little accessories now as well, since I just noticed. :wacky: Family and I had a little talk about how they make you look oh so professional that I just felt myself forced to. Well, okay, I don't feel that as much as I used to, since all the watches I have look pretty neat to begin with. 8D

I bought a couple caps for the winter as well. I really like them. Baseball caps I couldn't care less about, but driver's caps seem like all the rage in the design community so I have to conform somehow, right? :wacky:

I'll wear anything as long as I like it. Most of my expectations is that is has to be black or it has to describe me in some way. No matter how casual or formal it is, I usually wear all black everyday, evened out with some colored accessory (Blue bow, gold-studded belt, etc. . .). I especially like to wear dresses, mainly short ones; because I'm starting to get tired of wearing jeans and heavy clothing all the time. I like my body to breath, and some unusual changes can happen to it if it doesn't; so I may show a lot of skin - but not purposely to look slutty, but just for my body to continue operating with no obstacles.

All of my clothes are the same anyway.
:lew:

I have several t-shirts, all black, some with the odd picture (one with the Shinra logo :mokken:), a couple of pairs of jeans, one pair of shoes (black converse), and a leather jacket.

That is all.

i defaintely lean more towards casual for sure. a t shirt and jeans with trainers just fells perfect for me. I like my leather jackets aswell, not like long matrix style ones but you nice fitting short ones :wacky:
id love to think i look somewhat rock and roll tbh but i dont think i do :wacky:

Yeah, no offense to anyone that likes them, but I think that trenchcoats look stupid on most people. I like my jackets waist length only.
Casual ftw, I hate feeling stuffy. If I was a millionaire I'd still dress like a tramp.
:lew:
I don't update my wardrobe often.

thats the jacket i have and i love it :ryan:
can kinda wear it whenever aswell, be it just nippin up to the shop or heafing to the pub to meet my mates. The casual look feels right everywhere imo. Id feel dead awkward going to the shop all suited abd booted.

I'm more of a casual dresser...I don't go out a lot and I don't have a classy office job either so that gratefully eliminates me from the world of pencil skirts or uncomfortable pumps/platforms.

When I'm at home or school I go for comfort. I wear a lot of clothes from AE, A&F, and Old Navy....and Ugg boots may be damn ugly, but they are damn comfortable and warm for our cool winters where I live...so I have a few pairs of those. When I'm at work I wear scrubs, so that eliminates the question of "what to wear?"

I am however a complete sucker for shoes and purses...must be a girl thing. Gotta love those cute platform shoes (when I go out) and Coach purses :monster:

Casual equals comfort for me. I hardly dress formal, only if the occassion calls for it. Back in high school (sophomore-junior year) I dressed semi-casual and was one of those people that--

...that wore a purple-brown trenchcoat, boots, leather jacket, the whole getup. xD I loved it, it was more of a business-type look and I was able to get away with that fashion. Every now and then that spark will come back to me, but most of the time I really can't be bothered trying to pull off that sophisticated look anymore. Jeans, khakis, sweat pants and jogging pants with any blouses (be it dark or bright, it doesn't matter) is more like it.

I went from gross baggy clothes when I was self conscious to skanky clothes when I got boobs, now I mostly live in my work clothes and neat casuals... sometimes still skanky when its hot outside tho, but that can't be helped

I prefer the laid-back comfortable style of causality. I'm a really lazy person so, unless its a special occasion, you're probably gonna see me in shorts and a tank top (depending on weather) or sweat pants. Though, the funny thing is I like formality on guys. Like a suit, or a uniform (police etc) it's really hot to me xD and I have no idea why.

I recently got a huge influx of those sweaters with V-necks and I think I've found something more tame that's totally my style and is appealing to people. Since it's cold I usually dress with my long sleeves underneath, tuck those in, then wear my new sweaters on the exterior. :ryan:

I've gotten comments on how it makes me look like the prototypical architect, so I guess I'm doing something right.

I used to wear clothes with big logos on it and all that, but recently ive been getting into a more mature look. I like my jeans to fit nice, and my shirts to be a nice solid color, not to flashy. Im trying to just look clean and cut. Been shopping at H&M and the gap instead of hollister.

In high school, I was what we call here a "skater" which means I was skateboarding and listening to punk rock music. I was wearing baggy pans with punk-rock bands shirts and hoodies. After that when I started raving, I was wearing a mix of the "skater" and the "raver" style, still wearing my punkrock shirts in rave parties.

Now I wear casual clothes and I still like hoodies. For work I have an uniform and sooner or later I will have to wear ties and suits for my future job.

I enjoy wearing a nice suit from time to time, but that's very rare. Normally, I just wear a long sleeved, black, button down cotton collared shirt, black or white short sleeve shirt under that, and some black or blue jeans. For shoes, it's typically combat boots, or some plain old tennis shoes.

I don't really like variety in my clothing, so that's about it. :wacky:

EDIT: Not to imply I wear the same thing everyday. I just have many copies of the same exact clothes.

Also, I like trenchcoats, but only if they go to the back of the knee. Anything longer than that looks retarded. :mokken:

I have my own look.

Most of the time, I wear blue or black jeans and one of my wrestling T-Shirts. 99% of my closet is wrestling T-shirts. I'll also sometimes have Wristbands.

Or sometimes I'll wear my Armband in tribute to Eddie Guerrero. One of my favorite wrestlers that died 7 years ago.

Other than that, I'm simple. Occasionally I'll have to dress all proper for a big event, but after that I'm back to normal.
