Do you crack your knuckles?

I think I do quite often, but that's only because I work behind a computer so much. I know I'll have an early onset to arthritis but whatever, it feels good releasing the air between my fingers or whatever it is.

I've done it as far back as I can remember actually.. I think around 8 years old when I started pitching in baseball.

I don't. I actually dislike the sound of cracking bones, it is disgusting and annoying in my opinion. I don't mind if people do it just as long as they do it with me somewhere where I can hear it. However my brother does it all of the time and it is a pain to say the least.

No, but I do with my fingers. I sounds like knuckles being cracked but less intense.

I really don't like the sound at all. It just sounds like your doing something detrimental to your hands.

I've heard that it can make your fingers crooked over a long period of time, but it's just something I've heard.

Yeah...quite a lot now that I think about it, but I probably crack my back and feet more. When you're stiff you need a crack...:ffs:

People say it's not good for you, but they say that about putting sugar on your weetabix. In fact one dippy bint from work once declared that "If you eat 5 bananas in a row, you die.", and yes, she was being serious. I've not really had any problems with my grip or anything like that so =/

Yeah ive known that for along time and I dont care I still crack my knuckles, I dont even do it alot but every now and then I do it. Its just a habit of mine that I wont stop doing time to time, I do it alot mainly whenever Im going into a match with another veteran like myself xD

I do it all of the time, I do it if I am sitting still, bored, thinking, reading, watching TV, if I don't my fingers start feeling really weird. The whole arthritis thing is a complete fabrication so I don't really care about it

I can crack my wrists and I used to be able to crack my jaw, I can get some incredibly loud finger pops if I do it right. I can also crack my left hand quite audibly if I slowly make a tense grip

I can crack my wrists really loud, I can pretty much crack everything. Mothership tells me off when I do it, so I just tell her to stop scraping her teeth along her fork when she;s eating and I might stop doing it round her :hmph:

I crack my knuckles so much, I love the feel of it :rage: I actually had to crack them just then coz just the though of cracking them made me have to do it.

I don't care if it apparently causes arthritis. I've heard it does, heard it doesn't, heard it does so many times that I really just don't care.

I crack them like the dudes who play piano do it

I used to, like it was going out of style. haha

Now, I crack my neck and back more. Feels amazing, and I've yet to experience any so-called repercussions from doing it.

I usually crack my fingers more often, whenever I'm bored/nervous etc etc. It increases chances of having arthritis but it doesn't cause it for sure. Honestly, I don't care. It makes me feel good so I'll still do it. >_> Though, I'd really love to learn how to crack my back or neck, since I get stiff a lot there...

Yes, yes I do and sometimes I do it too much. I wonder if it does any damage to my fingers, somewhere I've read that it causes arthritis and then in some other places I've read that it doesn't.
So...kinda hard to know who I should believe. xD

Actualy believe it or not I was crackin my knuckles right as I saw this thread :awesome:

I know its not good for your hands and am aware that it can lead up to arthritis in your hand, but sometimes I just cannot help it

However I do not crack them as much as I used to when I was young.

I wonder if its the same thing concerning cracking your neck?

I only crack my knuckles when I'm annoyed, or I have nothing to do. Sometimes I crack my neck, which drives people nuts.

I also have this trick where my hands cover my nose and mouth. I make it seem like I crack my nose, but really I'm just using my nails against my teeth to make the sound. The reaction is priceless.

I don't...and it really bothers me when I see and hear other people who do :damon:

When you crack your knuckles you are losening your joint capsules in your hands and degrading them.... and if you do that long enough you are slowly wearing them down, which I'm sure would increase your chances of getting arthritis in your hands over time.

Is it really worth it? ...and do your hands ever hurt enough to consitute cracking them to release the pressure? If they do you should probably be seeing a Dr...because unless you have Rheumatoid arthritis you shouldn't really be having any problems.

Yes I do. I'm trying to stop though. Most of the time I do it without even realizing it. It's just a natural thing now.

I gotta stop though.

I used to, a lot...

You know you can crack your fingers by pulling on them? Well, one time in elementary school we had library day... I pull my fingers to crack them and one of them REALLY hurt so I yelled really loudly. Suffice to say I was embarrassed even though no one looked :ohoho:
I guess I gave up on cracking my fingers due to all the stories I heard about when you get older ;_;
