Yaaaaaay! A long trailer with voices! gameplay, awesomeness.
I like what they´ve done with the gameplay ^^ Can't wait to try it.
I want this game so bad. I hope they hurry up with it !!

....Ehh.

Gameplay doesn't look all that, and the moving portraits would do my head in after a point. The mechas didn't phase me the slightest.

However, I'm glad we get to change characters, this mysterious armoured woman looks interest, and looks like we'll get the drama llama visit plenty.

From the looks of it, it's like a darker version of Kingdom Hearts. The layout for the battle system looks pretty much the same, so I'm assuming you're going to be spamming the attack button for a really long time. I just wish that if there were going to go and make an action RPG that they would at least provide multiple attack buttons, so that you could do a bunch of mixed combos (of course, these would be unlocked as you leveled up).

Another thing I was wondering about was why there were those few scenes that didn't have any voice acting?

Other than all that, this looks like it'll be fun.

Ohhhh man ....I jizzed :awesome: I can't wait for this game! Stella(who is absolutely gorgeous) and Noct :inlove: look like REAL PEOPLE :gasp: and Shot (don't know if they released his real name or not because this is my first new Versus info thread I've visited) was shooting :D ...Apparently they still have more work to do on it though.. there's still no voice for Stella.

The gameplay looks decent..I'm really not going to complain about it because at this point, ANYTHING is better than FFXIII. This looks like its going to be very cinematic like XIII, however this seems to have a more interesting backdrop so I think I'm going to really like it. Also the music is so fitting and beautiful.

YAY! Thanks for posting Ohri, it made my day :cheer:

A trailer can't tell you how compelling the story is going to be. It may whet your appetite, but that's all it does. The gameplay could be horrendous but I would still play it if I got hooked on the story, which is why I won't make a decision until I'm watching the ending credits.

Seriously, screw gameplay. The best games have amazing stories.

*dies*

HOLY FRICK!! :rage: First of all, the frickin' graphics are... like almost as good as Assassin's Creed. :jess: The romance... it sounds too good to be true :sad3: And the gameplay looks EPIC! I mean, like, I hate RPGs but this looks really good. And my God! Does Noctis(?) look sexy :jess: If only he took off those pants. :sad3: they're so... weird.

‎Stella is Noctis' girl in the white dress, right? If so, she looks SO pretty!

amg, I can't believe I'm saying this, but... I can't wait for this game.

Hmm...looks interesting. The battle system looks fairly involving, although potentially awkward (selecting attacks from a menu in real-time? Hmmm...) and I suppose it graphically impressive, although I don't much care about graphics. I'm not excited, but I am...intrigued.

...I wish those damned Japanese voices would shut up so I could listen to the background music, though. That was the thing that caught my attention the most. It's no NieR, but it's better than FFXIII's poor attempt at soundtrack...

The gameplay/battlesystem is probably gonna be equal to KingdomHearts & Rogue Galaxy.

I loved both of the battlesystem/gameplay from both games. So I will most definitely enjoy Versus's gameplay. :mokken:

The forrest scenes blew my mind away, those are for me personally the best part of the whole trailer.

The armored woman looks incredible :O

I love the realism in the first 2 minutes of the trailer.

The mecha and tank is probably a smart move from SE to implement. Its realistic yes but also futuristic. What if they didnt implement it? I think its a cool aspect.

Interactive ingameplay sequences are sweet !

It reminds me of FF8. Like stuff happens but you can still control the character. I love it :griin:

But Like Oxide said, it now comes to the story. A great story makes the game.
Sad to see they still havent shown new playable characters or names...

Maybe when the translations come up...Who knows.

I am exited and anxious.

Marry me Ohri!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I mean they all look real!!! So fantastic and I didn't see too much linear gameplay And between the cityscape and the beautiful green place my pants are wet with joy! :britt: This is gonna be the only good FF for modern consoles :3

I think we can all agree that it's a Kingdom Hearts + Crisis Core thing with the game mechanics. I like that they added that small shooting feature. Let's just hope it's not ass like Dirge. Noctis seems to be the fashionable fellow now.

So, the whole gameplay trailer is nice and all, but that's something every asshole developer is supposed to show -from the first goddamn trailer-. What I would expect from an event like "Square Enix 1st blah blah premiere" is a fucking release date.

This trailer of Versus XIII sure showed alot. Stella is so beautiful now... infact I have to say she is one of the most well designed FF females if not the best FF female. New characters were shown. That guy with the gun(silverish hair) looks like a villian of some sort. That guy on the chair might be the main villian. Just guessing here though. The battle system looks good. It feels like Hack and slash alot but uhmmm the robot bit was weird. I really love the graphics and all though. Noctis and Stella do look more real than in the other trailers. I can say this excited me in a slight way. But Ill need to watch it again later and look at it properly. :hmmm: Right I just watched it again and now I am excited I am not afraid to admit it either. The whole battle system is just so cool. Th eonly think I disliked about the trailer is that you can use a robot. Reason for my excitement is not the dialogue or graphics it is the GAMEPLAY. It looks so good and now I just know I am going to buy this game no holds barred. Also those who said it is like Crisis Core and KH are right. It has evolved though completely. I really like that you control different characters also. The Story really sound sinteresting also. So yes I am not dissapointed on what we saw from Versus XIII. I expect a release date sometime. What a shame we didnt get one.

Looks amazing. I agree with whoever said it looked like Kingdom Hearts and Crisis Core combined.

Action RPG's can have alot of depth with just one attack button. They could model it after DMC which only used one button for the sword, but if you timed the button presses differently, you could do different combo's, so thats not really a legit concert unless you only had a standard non leveling up attack.

Graphics look phenomenal, especially the faces. You can really tell when they change expressions and the like. Definitely my most awaited game.

I have to admit, the trailer bored me until we got to the gameplay part. After years of little trailers, anyone can get bored of the silent convos, and it was about time that we got a good glimpse of the gameplay in its natural form. Part of that trailer was a remodelling and editing of a previous silent conversation trailer. I noticed some slight character remodellings though in terms of facial visuals. It's a minor thing, but I do think they look much better now. What I like is the interaction with the environment around you, with the explosions and all that going on around you. It really does help out the atmosphere.

Gameplay comments now - it does look strongly like a mature version of Kingdom Hearts even with the menu commands. I can see you have the conventional hack-and-slash style of both KH and Crisis Core in there, which is no problem at all, unless it's done well. What I was interested in was the perspective shift to one of your supporting characters when he's firing a blast at the behemoth. That's an interesting way to incorporate greater strategical moves with your party members if you're not just confined to controlling Noctis. Jumping behind the guns of mechas. That's like Versus's version of the Magitek, except you're now controlling the mounted gun. I wonder how well that's going to be done, because SE hasn't exactly got an amazing track record of shooters.

Out of all the games shown, this has interested me the most I have to say, like the majority of people here. It's certainly looking good, catering to me more than FFXIII did. Whether this will disappoint or be astounding, I'm certainly going to find myself getting it. And still no release date, which is unsurprising.

Im thinking maybe since Eidos was bought, maybe they got some pointers on how to do some of the more shooting elements of the game. Maybe taking some ques from Just Cause 2.

Really proud of this..........This was even better than I expected it to be (a shitty 1 minute trailer like last time)........They did show gameplay but curious about how it works especially the fps bit which had one of the playable characters shooting as well as Noctis operating a tank-like machine. But the main thing that I was glad was with was how action-packed this was!! you had Noctis moving around the environment with explosions and behomeths jumping around right in your face!! This did change my view on the world which I thought was gonna be boring and desolate despite the towers and roads in previous trailers. Even though this does kind of have a hint of a GTA-like game I'm sure its gonna rock!

Also whats up with the characters? Noctis looks so different and Stella is now almost looking closer to lightning.........Not saying its a bad thing but just wondering why?

It already looks miles better than the shitfest that was FFXIII, that's for damned sure. Though, I'm worried that combat is going to be just as simplistic as FFXIII. MASHING X TO WIN.

Looks phenomenal and action packed. Looks like it's exactly the type of gameplay style I'd enjoy. I loved the full motion video sequences, as well as the looks of some of the combat sequences (especially the ones in the forest and plains). The thing you guys should keep in mind, is that Square Enix said not too long ago that "What us fans shall see in the gameplay, is that the final graphics quality will not be refined as it will appear in the final game." Which I can definitely see. Since if you compare Noctis' hair to the hair in the old trailers. So I'm sure this game will look amazing once it's done. I'm not very appreciative of the way they changed Stella's hair... But I'm sure if they keep it that way, it will look better in the end product. Looks great. I just pre-pre-ordered it :P
