(I didn't think there was a thread like this, and it's not the same as the Dream Job one which is why I'm posting it. >_>)
What's more important to you; having a job which pays well or one which you enjoy? Or if you want both, which of the factors is the strongest?
I honestly have no idea what job I want, but I know one thing; I don't want to be some fat career-driven bitch in a power suit. That just wouldn't be me at all. My dad's always telling me that I should get a well-paid job and if I like it then it's a bonus, but I don't think that way at all. I'd rather get a job that I love or at least enjoy, what's the point in spending your life doing something that depresses you? There is the money aspect but the way I see it, as long as I have enough to get by I'll be fine. Unless I was thinking of starting a family in which case I would need more money, but if I was working in some big important job how the hell would I find time for kids anyway? I wouldn't want to be one of those mums that's always leaving her kids with babysitters or parents, I'd want to be there for them... but that's a completely different topic. >_>
I think I'd like to be self-employed... the money wouldn't be steady but I think the benefits of being your own boss would be worth it.
