Today marks 1 week since my brother passed away.

He was a fan of FF and a good friend, We talked about many things life, love, women...........oddly enough Dragon ball Z was a huge part of our dynamic:lew:
He was a very generous man more than I ever could be, but he suffered in live
and was destroyed by the end of it.

So much so that he could not go on any longer.

I do mourn his loss, but at the same time look to the future as he did, its a strange thing death for a person who has suffered for so long, an end to pain and illness, why these things are not granted in life is beyond me.

My brother was only 40 yeas old, I plan to own my own house by that age and have kids and possibly be married, I hate to use a FF cliche :lew: but it his Living Legacy.

I dont know why I tell this to FFF denizens? Possibly because of what brought us here in the first place.

40 is such a young age for someone to die. My parents are still around that age.

Sorry to hear that. =/ It'd be hard to see a family member go like that. I've not ever really lost anyone close to me so it's hard to understand the feeling.

And this only happened a week ago? =0
 
Yeah, sorry to hear about your loss, it definetely is hard to lose a loved one, and at a young age. I also lost a brother, so I know how you must feel. My brother was only 12 when he passed away.

And he passed away one week ago??
 
I'm sorry to hear about that. Your brother sounds awesome, and I can see he will be missed. It's unfair that he was taken so soon. I hope you're doing ok.

It's always difficult when someone close to you moves on..
 
A death to a close family member and loved one; it really is a horrible thing to go through. I've never lost a sibling myself, but I've lost my two granddads when I was younger at such a short length of time from each other, so in a way I can still empathise with your loss here.

So sorry to hear of your loss GF, 40 really is still an early age for anyone to die. It's always a major tragedy to hear the news that genuinely good people are sadly taken away like this. I don't know what was wrong with him, but if as you said he really did suffer in life, there is comfort and solace in the fact that he no longer has to endure that. Rest in peace.
 
I'm so sorry to hear this :sad3: But, it's really good that you got to share so much quality time with him, and that you have a lot of fond memories to look back on, and that whenever you play FF you can think of him. I hope he's not suffering anymore, and that you're doing okay as well. And that ideally, there's something after this life and that you'll get to see him again at some point. Take care, and I wish you and your family the best in getting through these times.
 
sorry for your loss, i hope he found peace. it's good to see you're taking it well. death can come quickly and we never know when someone close to us might be gone the next moment.
 
Sorry to hear this sir..my condolences.I wish you the best and strength for the days,weeks,months and years to some. Respect sir. Honour your brother and make the best out of your life.

At least you have so many special memories with him!!

Death is horrible, specially when its someone so close to you, but i am glad you're looking to the future and wanting to be more like your brother!

Damn. Well sorry to hear mr. Flare. A death that close would make me go a little silent. I doubt I'd share it with this community right away. Thanks for sharing and I can empathize with illness related death in a great way. Cheers to your bro.
 
Oh... Sorry to hear about this G flare. It really is hard when you lose a sibling. You dont get to see them anymore and..memories go way back. I never lost a sibling, but I do know how it would feel like.. I only lost 1 family member in my entire family. I feel sad for you but still try and move on in life. But those memories will always be painful, 40? That is a very young age to die no matter how you look at it. I know you can die at any age but 40 is considered pretty young. Well he will be missed. Sorry that he couldnt stay in this world longer. But he probably is in a better place now. Just look at all the crap we experience in this crappy world. By that I mean things not going right, fights for no reason, huge wars etc.. Also I agree with Tyler in a way. I wouldnt share an experience like this with this community no matter how dear it is to me..
 
I'm sorry for your loss, GF.

It sounds like you guys had one helluva great relationship though and so you have some amazing memories to help you along the rough road that is losing someone that you love. Hang in there.
 
Losing a sibling is hard. My older brother passed away back on 2005 (I'm sure I've probably talked about this before) and I still think about him. He died around 4 days before his 18th birthday. So, I could assume to know what you're going through. It's hard at first but it gets easier over time. You'll miss him constantly. What's interesting is that even bad memories of him being a dick you can look back on and smile.
 
I thought Id share this with FFF coz, this is a place I hangout alot and a small semblance of normalcy goes along way to keeping the tears back, not much but ti helped, My girlfriend was brilliant during this time and never left me, Id like to give a shout out to ya Caitlin:awesome:

And thanx to everyone who posted you thoughts and words and even the well wishes of strangers or friends separated by distance go along way to helping the grief pass. There is no replacement for a lost brother.

Just remember that your brother wouldn't want you to suffer in his place. I'm sorry for your loss and I can't fathom what it feels like because I've never lost someone close to me, but I'm glad you're at least trying to take the "honor his memory" instead of the "mourn his loss" route.
