There was a discussion in the Shoutbox earlier regarding Tiger Woods and the acts he committed. So I wanted to ask you all what your thoughts are about Tiger Woods these days? Maybe give a few thoughts on whether his acts have made you change the way you think of Mr. Woods.

I did give my thoughts earlier in the SB, sort of. But for now, I want to know what all of you think about him. I'll give my thoughts in further detail later on. Happy debating! :ryan:

TBH I think it sucks when anyone cheats on their significant other, whether they're a celebrity or not. I don't know all the details of the problems he had, but he should've gotten counseling first if he felt like the urge to cheat was compulsory, rather than going through with it. And if he didn't feel like it was compulsory, if he just wanted to cheat, then he's a _________ (insert random expletive) :mokken:

I dont really care. Its only a big deal because hes famous. Loads of other people do it so its nothing new and shocking. Imo hes just a rat tbh. He has a beautiful wife yet it seems that isnt enough.
IM glad she divorced him as she deserves better but honestly... who cares :S

I agree with Lew here. I honestly don't really care about it either. It happens everyday weather your a celebrity or not. Though, I heard he only married her 'cause he got her pregnant? Idunno I also hear she was a bitch. Either way, it isn't right but in all honesty, I could care less.

In one case, I also don't care about Tiger Woods in general as I do not know the guy nor do I know his wife and their situation. However, I do think it was pretty rude of him--and for anyone--to go and cheat on her with several different women. But, hey, he's a grown man. He can make his own decisions and he did.

If you're a celebrity and you aren't using that status to get leg, you're a fool. I really don't care what Tiger Woods does with his social life. He's a good golfer, that's all I care about and it doesn't change the thoughts I have of him.. I mean really, what else are you suppose to think of him? He just slipped up and got caught, he'll have no problem gettin' another woman.

I was more annoyed with all the coverage on his affairs. The issue should be kept among him and his wife and not every other critical person. Seriously, a celebrity cheating on their significant other? What else is new? I like him because he is a good golfer, not because of who he is married to. And I was annoyed by all the women coming foreward and admitting that Tiger had cheated with them as if they were innocent in this whole thing <.<

Honestly, when I first found out that Tiger Woods--the seemingly kind, reserved guy--had cheated on his wife, it shocked me. I mean, I realized that that you really shouldn't judge a book by its cover.

Though I admit, after reading a few posts here saying that cheating occurs on a daily basis everywhere anyway, I do think now that Wood's cheating just caused shock and disbelief to many (including myself) because he's a public figure--meaning he has fans and people already have this perception of him being a 'good guy'. :hmmm:

I don't know how I feel about it anymore. In fact, I probably don't care now. In the end, I don't think it's really any of my business.

I'm going to go with most here and say I really don't care. I didn't care when it first came out and I got tired of hearing it every day. I turned on the radio one day to hear "Tiger Woods is going to give a public apology" and I facepalmed. I personally think the only person he needed to apologize to was his wife. Everyone else should mind their own business.

I don't care about golf so I really had no opinion of Tiger Woods to begin with. Now I just think of him as some guy who cheated on his wife. Celebrities and their personal lives don't interest me so I just look at them as other people; and people cheat on their significant others all the time. I don't think it's fair to make a huge deal about it just because he happens to be a good golfer.

I'll admit I was surprised because quite frankly I didn't think golfers got up to that sort of shit. :monster:

Honestly I couldn't care less about the whole thing. I didn't care about Tiger Woods before he cheated and I still don't. Like others have said, people cheat on each other all the time but when a celebrity cheats we are supposed to be shocked.

However, one thing that does interest me is what will happen to all of his endorsements. Particularly the Tiger woods PGA tour video games, not that I give a shit about them or have even played any of them. But still I think it will be interesting to see what will happen with them given Wood's besmirched reputation.

Initially I've always seen Tiger Woods in a good light. At the time I've never seen or heard anything bad about him. When the scandal broke through, I just shrugged my shoulders. I was reminded that cheating on partners is always a common occurrance especially if one is rich and famous. I'm not a big fan of Tiger Woods or golf anyway, so there was no reason for me to have any strong feelings about this.

What did annoy me though was the extensive media coverage. I found myself caring less and less of the whole business. Tabloids were chasing this story around like hungry packs of dogs, completely blowing things out of proportion. Well, tabloids in general are like that I suppose. I grew sick of tired of seeing so much coverage of it and I had no intentions of reading about it. Yes, it is a humiliation for Tiger - a humiliation magnified because of who he is.

obviously what he did was wrong and he just completely ignored what marriage is supposed to be about. I lost respect for him as a man, but I still respect him as one of the greatest sportsman in history, and i doubt nothing will.

his wife should never forgive him (that is if she did nothing wrong, we never know) and Tiger should continue to live as a disgraced man to the people around him, but as part of the public who has never spoken to or met with Tiger, I will still want him to play good golf and continue to inspire people with the sport.

Indeed, it sucks when someone gets cheated on. Celebs are people at the end of the day, only difference is it gets world known lol. Im glad his wife has decided to seperate herself from him. To be honest hes a jerk and she is such a lovely woman, but again, we dont really know what she was like with him. Maybe she wasnt loving, a bitch or whatever. Or maybe Tiger is selfish and uses his fame for sex.

Honestly im not a golf fan and men cheat on their wives daily the only reason hes getting slack for it is because hes a "star".
But i did get in a good conversation whith a co worker who basically told me in no unsertain terms it was a big deal because of his standing and people idolize him and such so his actions should be better than that...
Just because one is famous dosent mean they are less than human if anything they act without morales more so,so why would anyone expet him to act any less than anyother person of his status? and obvious hornyness?

So, the golden boy found himself in quite the pickle on Thanksgiving weekend. Turns out he walked the path of infidelity. But over time he walked this path with several women. So does this make him a sex addict, or possibly a poor excuse of a human being? :hmmm:

As far as I know, he's no different from any other "star" figure in time. How many people have committed these acts over time, Tiger certainly isn't the first. What he's done has no bearing on our lives, hence I don't see a real reason to gripe over it. I can totally understand Elin wanting to castrate him, but is any of that really our business? A guy of his "star" status will have many women flock to him wanting him to do things to him, even if he is a golfer (stereotyped as not being sex maniacs and such :lew:). But if he was going to choose infidelity over being faithful, he certainly has many many opportunities to do so. And if you're going to do the wrong thing, do it right (aka don't just sleep with one, but as many as possible).

Because of this "star" status, the media is all over it. Especially with the fact that Tiger was always so squeaky clean before this happened. But as mentioned already, the extensive media was all over it, as well as the tabloids. Even what he did has zero effect on his golfing, so even more so it shouldn't be overblown. As a result, he'll be frowned upon because of his dirty deeds. Does this affect me? No. Do I care? Absolutely not. Does this affect you? No. Should you care? There isn't a point in caring, so don't bother stressing yourself out over it. Does this affect his family? Yes. Should they care? There are in for a rough road ahead, so they better care.

I thought the only bad thing he did was that add with his dead father's voice over, I thought that was quite a bad move. I can't believe someone thought it would be a good idea, Hey tiger you fucked around, but let's remind everyone that your dad died.
As for his fucking around, who cares. Most people would definitely, I've not bothered to google all the wiminz that he had sex with, but I bet most if not all of them are hot. MLK had numerous affairs so why can't tiger?
