For anyone that still wants to compare consoles, Square Enix released eighteen screenshots from the Xbox 360 version of Final Fantasy XIII.

There are differences between the existing batch of PlayStation 3 assets and these screens so these are the real deal, not like last week’s batch of altered images. Take this screenshot of Snow and Team Nora as an example. PlayStation 3 is on the top and the Xbox 360 equivalent is on the bottom.

saw these a little bit ago. Thats a rather large difference
 
Oh :ffs: People are just gonna complain about the slightly lower graphics? Im gonna LOL if they do. Hey its the first FF rpg on 360 and I just wanna see how it plays. If I dont like it All the rest will be on ps3 :mokken: But still its not even a large difference.
 
The 360 ones look blurry and slightly pixelily. The PS3 version is obviously the one that was worked on more. I wonder why the translation is different, though :hmmm: Maybe the 360 version was done at a later time than the PS3 version?
 
THIS IS WHAT ALL THAT DAMN FUSS WAS ABOUT FROM PS3 PLAYERS?

...Why? To be perfectly honest I could understand if the Xbox was awful and unplayable with the PS3 having unbelievably crisp graphics... but come on people sort it out... It's really not that bad.

That actually is a huge difference, whether or not anyone wants to believe it.

I agree. People saying it's not that much of a difference must be seeing a different image. Its not as sharp, there are way more jaggies, and the lighting is much worse.

I haven't really looked at any of the PS3 screenshots, tbh. :wacky: I've been trying not to spoil anything for myself.

But really, the graphics look great to me. I'm still going to play it and enjoy it. :mokken:

Right, I'm not trying to bash Xbox 360 users. However, when they go and deny that there is any difference... that's just... :ffs:
 
That's fine I understand the 360 won't look as good without the sharpness of being on a Blue Ray disk. But I don't need PS3 users taking every opportunity to ram it down my throat that theirs looks better. As long as they understand this I'll be more than happy. Especially seeing as some PS3 players have been doing the whole "yeah but the xbox looks awful, end of" thing.

:D But other than that I'm so happy I can get it on my console I'll settle for it looking decent.

And so you know my point is not about comparison it's about the fact that the 360 graphics when taken as the grpahics for a game are not bad at all.

And I agree that there is a big difference. I just hope people don't blow it out of proportion and make a huge deal out of it. Although I'm sure they probably will. :hmmm:
 
I'm curious to see neutral game reviews of Final Fantasy XIII when they're released. I know the likes of GameSpot have said they prefer the 360's graphics but I'm someone doubting they've played both and/or their typical 360 bias has kicked in. All being said, people who are interested in the game will still buy it. IGN and N4G might explode mind :wacky:
 
I think where you can see most that the 360's are not as good is the picture of Lightning on the website the news was from....

I really do not like how pixely she looks, and I definitely think that more could have been done on the 360 one... for a game like this, That's seriously shitty quality IMO. I don't think I want this game as much for 360 as I had originally wanted... I think I'm going to wait until I can play it on my boyfriend's PS3, especially since I'm sure that the images were from the game HD quality, and I have a Standard set, so it's gonna look even worse :hmmm:

Lol. The PS3 owners are making a big deal about it because every other cross-platform game looks worse on the PS3. I think we're entitled to a little gloating =)
 
Once you compare it the the PS3 yeah, the xbox 360 version isn't as good in quality. Though like Ryan said, those who are interested in the game will buy it anyways. I do kind of think it's weird how the graphics would turn out so different though :hmmm:

It'll blow over soon, hopefully and the 360 users will get over it i'm sure but, for the time being, i'm sure it'll cause the 360 users to complain bitch and whine and start saying how they got screwed and whatnot.

Ugh, gamestop has gotten horrible with bias. IGN is starting to move in the same direction too. And pretty much EVERY site is down on the JRPG for bullshit reasons
 
They look damn near the same. :mokken: Still a tiny difference though.

Anyone else think that the chick on the right is hawt? We do. :D
 
I'd like people to point out to me WHERE the PS3'ers are making a ragey fuss? :hmmm:

I've not really seen it on FFF myself, so are people refering to reactions on the internet in general, and comments to these articles? All I am seeing at the moment is some 360 players shouting out at the PS3 players to stop picking on their graphics, yet I haven't seen a lot of fuss made over them myself. I'm probably wrong, I just don't see where the huge fuss is coming from. I'm a PS3'er and I can't care less, and I'm not rubbing it in, or even see it as much of a problem as afterall they are just graphics.

Looking at those screenshots though I can tell there is a difference. Things are more pixelated, and it looks a bit less clear. I wouldn't say it is bad though, the difference really isn't much to me.

In all honesty, the background on the Xbox version looks more clear to us. In the PS3 version it's all blurry. However, the characters on the PS3 version are clear and smooth. However, the Xbox 360 version you can see the pixles. There isn't a "OMG IT'S SO FUCKING DIFFERENT" difference.

It's noticeable, but it's subtle. However, we're color blind, so that can mess with our opinion a bit. You'd be surprised.

It isn't like our opinion matters much, we're not buying the damned game anyway. :XD: Besides, console flaming is stupid. :mokken:
 
I don't agree that there is a huge difference at all. Certainly not on my laptop screen at least.

It just looks like the PS3 screen shot is the 360 screen shot duplicated and set on soft light at 40%-50% to me. :mokken:

I'm a PS3 owner BTW before someone says I'm a 360fag.
