Apparently, the PS3 version will run its CGI scenes at 1080p and in-game at 720p. Whereas, the 360 version will run its CGI scenes at 720p and in-game at 576p and won't support HD.

This is still going on? Jeez guys give it a freaking rest. Its just graphics its not like the world is gonna end because they are just 0.1% less than the ps3 graphics. Oh and if you own a 360 AND not PS3 IM SURE YOU DAMN people will buy it /rant. Srsly I wake up and people are still going at it. Those mighnt not be the screenshots. Get some more and lets compare em That might just be shit but the ohers are not.

The fact that people are commenting and ranting shows that people do actually care, go on a Final Fantasy XIII forum, IGN, N4G etc and it's the same. For some people, certainly the newer generation of gamers, graphics are an important aspect of a game, for anyone on the fence about whether they purchase the 360 version or the PS3 version it could be a decisive factor, Amanda's post proved this.OH
Square Enix should have done themselves a huge favour and delayed the 360 version a month or two to polish it off. All they've done is given people ANOTHER reason to lay into FFXIII.
This. Ami has pretty much summed up what I wanted to say.
True, I do see a significant difference in the screenshots. But the difference is still rather slight and it's really nothing to go on a rampage about. I've seen PS3 owners on other sites gloat all the time about how their version is better. It doesn't matter that much, people! What matters is the game itself! Would I go for a game that is visually stunning yet lacking in content, or a game with vice versa?
I am not in camp Xbox 360 mind, I am neutral. I have found both sides to be as bad as the other. I know graphics are a big part of video games nowadays - but be happy with what you have! It's still a game, it's still playable - it's not the end of the world! I know SE could have perhaps done more with the Xbox 360 visuals as Ryan said - but still, does it warrant so much flaming in sites like N4G? No.

Why the hostiliy? 
It's just a comparison of the different specs on the two systems. This just proves that people actually care about the game and that it is doing quite well, even if its in comparisons like this. The game is garnering much attention with everything thats said about it, which proves that people are actually talking about it and considering it, with all the bashing it recently got . I would buy it on either system, no matter what, if I had either one . Heck, maybe the 360 version may be cheaper due to it's slightly lower specs
