Alright, so it's back. This time more ridiculous than ever. It's literally taking me 30 minutes to load the forum, and every time I try to post something or make a new thread, it won't even let me cause it will time out, and give me the error message with a white page.

It's absolutely getting on my nerves, and I think it's WAY OVER DUE to some fixing on this matter. :gonk:
 
Kira , apparantly around 6pm (our time) they will reboot servers or something like that or fix things etc..server check...

So its on a daily basis and always at same time..:lew:
 
I'm irritated as well...it just killed my thread :rage:

Oh the joys of lags.

EDIT: Had it for about 10 minutes, to be specific, happened yesterday to but at an earlier time, around 15:00, maybe 14:00?

I'm not getting lag as such, but the forum's running significantly slower than usual for me, even well after the main lag ends. It doesn't really present as huge a problem to me as it might some others, because I copy my threads/posts before I post them so they don't get lost if the forum times out, but it's kinda irritating. Of course, it could just be my Internet, as most of you are aware of just how crappy that is.
 
Ohri, for me it's not s specific time, yes it's worse atm, specially around that time, but also before that, I had it ALL day yesterday, my providers servers were running perfect, so it wasn't that. The rest of the internet was too, just this site taking it's time any moment of the day, and it's getting a little too annoying to even wait for, to be honest. =/
 
Well I havent been able to come on FFF much these days :hmmm: so I personally only noticed it at 6pm...but you may be right..something is causing the lag and apparantly its not the arguments I stated in my previous post here..:lew:

So I have no idea ....

Tho its been good for ages, only started lagging with me a few days ago. Its just a case of trying again half an hour later etc then its fine. No big deal.
 
I've had it a few times like, but it doesn't normally last for ages, and once the main page has loaded its fine.

I just get it occassionally where the main page takes about 5 minutes to load -__-
 
No joking aside, there will be a VB upgrade, this has been previously mentioned by Mitsuki in other threads, and it might be a month or 3 months down the road altogether, but you have to take into mind other things when it comes to the site being slow.

1) Routing. Dependent if a switch is down somewhere (which the US is actually having quite a few routing issues lately) that the site might be slower for you, than it is for me and so on. (see WoW East Coast servers for reference that run through Atlanta)

2) The rpg is down, but it is actively being worked on right now, which I doubt is causing that much lag, but it could add to it.

3) When the RPG is up, unless we have a way to handle the Inferno shoutbox being used in 2 different places (main lobby and the rpg), we'll still experience briefs stints of lag, unless Decado or their team has any resolutions.
 
-crosses fingers- I haven't experienced it like I remember I used too.

I don't know what means, but it makes me happy. :D I hate the lag. I remember the last time I was really active on here it would take like an hour to load a forum.
 
I experienced it a little bit before and I didnt have the log in feauture for awhile. It was just fucking weird. I really hope the VB update is true. Thanks for the info Tyler!
 
Thank you for the information, Tyler. An update would be really nice, and it might even help out the side due to it's upgrade.

Surely the lag is more down to the server than needing an upgrade. LG just needs to upgrade for other reasons, especially because of security and IE9. I never experience RPG lag when the RPG is down either, only when it's running.

I can live with lag, but it's more annoying not knowing whether your posts are going to actually post. -_-

On this, why is it only being upgraded to 3.8? Surely it's a waste of money only for somewhere down the line when FFF needs to be upgraded again to the latest version [available now] and another VB license will need to be bought.

Just saying last night we had terrible teriible lag. The server busy message came up again and I was stuck for like 15-20 mins on the message. Is it because the RPG came back up? It wasnt even the normal time of lag that happens everyday at the same time day and night. :hmmm:. Waste of money? Well I find FFF has been dull throughout the years with no upgrades but yeah Ryan does have a point here.. Maybe LG doesnt have the money for 4.0?
