Corinith

A few notes before things begin. Be aware that this RP could be rated “M”. This means that you can expect violence, scenes of torture, bloody messes, and acts of the darkest kind. However, don’t get this confused with rated “X”. There will be no nudity or sex of any kind. Try to keep as clean as possible. You can write someone getting their brains blown against a wall, but don’t write up a five page post of gratuitous sex.

I also put this note in so you can be warned that I want posts… good posts… damned good posts. This means I want correct grammar (I’m not going to jump on your ass about a typo, don’t worry about that), and I want each post to be at least two paragraphs each. I’m not going to tolerate “Bob woke up in a sweat and turned on his computer terminal”. No, there will be none of that.

As far as rules go, the basic ones apply. No godmodding, no matter how light, no metagaming, and of course, no powerplaying. Any instance of this and you get one warning. After said warning if you so much as step a toe out of line, I will be writing your character off. This is a Sci-Fi RP, and I want it to remain that way. There will be hints of Fantasy, and I will definitely allow cyberpunk, but it will be mostly Sci-Fi. This means that your character doesn’t have magical powers. However, in order to not have everyone running around with blaster rifles, this RP will feature something… different.

This being said, scroll down to read the plot outline, the “augmentation” system guidelines, the Races/Species guidelines, factions, grav lift, etc. As I said in the interest check thread, this is going to be a RP that is somewhat larger than others. There will be many things going on at once. In all reality, a part of me expects this to fail… but I really want to see how far we can get this going. I hope everything goes well, but I’m pessimistic by nature. Just keep in mind that if things do end up finishing, I already have a sequel in mind that will make quite a few of you rather happy…

However, let me make a couple of things clear. There will be no mindreading in this RP. There will be no psychic characters or anything of the nature. I’ve learned over the years of me RPing, that characters that can read minds and psychics are a bad idea. And as I said in the Interest Check thread, I EXPECT THE BARE MINIMUM OF TWO POSTS A WEEK. If you can’t make this miniscule amount of posts, do not join. If you join anyway, don’t pick a character that will become essential to the plot (for example, one of the three villains). If you find that you can’t make this after you have joined, just give me a reason why, and I may bend the rule for you if the excuse is valid enough.
I shouldn’t have to jump on your ass about posting. You signed up voluntarily, and it’s something you should want to do. I’m not going to slow the RP to a halt because one jackass decides not to post. Things will move on without you. And no, I am not going to be accepting “lack of inspiration” as an excuse. THIS MEANS YOU. I don’t mean to be an ass, but I’m not letting it slide this time.

ONE MORE THING, this is a RP. You are expected to collaborate with other people. If you find your character has nothing to do, talk to a few people in the sign up/discussion thread. It’s what it’s there for. Work things out with others and simply collaborate with your fellow RPers, post in the sign up thread, send them a PM, just do something about it. Don’t get discouraged and get all emo and refuse to post because no one rode your nuts to interact with your character. Be assertive, and just talk things out if you want your character to have something to do. Some of the greatest posts I’ve ever written have come from working things out with my fellow RPers to get something going.

That being said, if three people are posting about going to a bar, PLEASE don’t just have your character barge in and start acting like they’re hot shit. It won’t hurt to ask, it really won’t. Remember that scene in EA2 when a few characters were eating in the dining hall and then a certain someone showed up and we all effectively face palmed? Yeah, let’s try and avoid that. If you want to interact with characters that obviously have something going on, just ask. Odds are, they’ll let you, but no one likes people just dropping in unexpectedly.

Now, all that being said, have fun. I know I sound like a Nazi bastard right about now, but I want to attempt to put annoyances, no matter how minor, to a minimum. Don’t let this discourage you. Although I may sound like a Nazi, I’m really not… most of the time. Just post, have fun, don’t be a dick, and you’ll be okay. Below, you’ll find the plot outline and loads of other nifty shit. Be prepared to read though, it’s a lot of information.

Premise

Prologue - In 2214, Earth as a planet had finally had enough. Resources were sparse and drained, and pollution had skyrocketed beyond anything that anyone had believed possible. Realizing that there was no way to fix things this time, scientists from all over the world began working on a project that was simply titled “ARK”. As the title implies, it was a project that would take Humans from all over the planet and send them into space where they may find a new planet, and learn from their mistakes as a species.

The project would allow ten million human beings to be saved from the inevitable destruction of Earth, while the rest stayed to die along with it. Five hundred thousand of these people would be the brightest minds that Earth had to offer. They went from scientists, doctors, Politian’s, military, and those that had enough money to buy themselves a ticket. The rest of the 9.5 million was selected by lottery.

The ARK was a large vessel, and in fact became the largest known space traveling vessel to ever exist. This one ship would be enough to house ten million human beings. ARK was stocked with food and supplies to last for one hundred years.

Not knowing how long the journey would take, everyone was put into cyrostasis sleep. This way, they would not age or be damaged in any way possible. To ensure that the journey went well, ten teams of ten cycled from one to ten to pilot the ship. One team would be woken up from cyrostasis once a year to pilot the ship for an entire year. Once their year was up, they went back to sleep as the next group woke up.

All in all, the journey took exactly 56 years. The planet they found was rich with life, and could sustain them all. It was rich with oceans, islands, trees, plenty of vegetation and animals. However, humanity wasn’t alone on this planet.

Already on the planet for unknown amounts of time were many different species. None were anywhere near as technologically advanced as Humans were. They still fought with swords and spears, where Humanity had guns and missiles. They all spoke different languages, and a few even were warring with other species. 23rd Century Humanity had practically had come face to face with 14th Century humanity.

Although the ARK project was made in hopes that Humanity would learn from their mistakes, it appeared as if Humanity was already dead set on repeating them. The first five hundred thousand to come out of cyrostasis were the scientists, doctors, Politian’s, and of course, the military. They saw the other species as weaker, and able to be conquered.

And they did just that. There was a slight struggle at first, but ultimately the other species stood no chance. One species in particular, whom the Humans had dubbed “Elves”, due to their appearance, put up a significant struggle, but even they were put down in the end. However, instead of being taken as slaves, many of them simply disappeared. Some Elves remained… many did not. To this day, no one knows what happened to them.

The rest were taken as slaves and treated as such. The new cities of Man were built on their backs.

Years later, the rest of the humans in cyrostasis were awakened, and they lived their lives as if they never stopped. However, they were kept completely in the dark on what happened while they were asleep. Of course, they were not stupid, and many figured it out, but too few of them cared.

Ten millions humans occupied twenty large cities on a planet that they would name Corinith. The cities were massive… very massive; each of them being able to house five hundred thousand human beings. Many of them died due to new diseases, bringing the population to each city down to at least three hundred thousand, the remaining occupants were those of other species who were treated like slaves.

For years things remained this way…

400 years after the landing on Corinith

Lots of things had changed at this point in Corinith’s history. All races eventually came to be equal. The race known as the Elves still hadn’t returned, and very few of them remained. Everything seemed to be going well… save for a few things… It took millions of years for Humans to destroy Earth, but it had only taken them 400 years to pollute Corinith on a grand scale. The pollution is so thick, that the ground levels of the cities are covered in a thick white mist.

This mist makes living on the ground level of the cities hard. Just breathing is a chore. The only men and women that dare venture here are construction crews designed to ensure the foundation of the cities do not fall. Everyone lives in large buildings that reach the sky. The sides of these buildings are much like the streets of cities from Earth long ago. However, the main difference is that they are hanging from the sides of large buildings.

(For those of you that can’t picture this in your head, watch The Fifth Element, or just view these pictures to see what I had in mind. But seriously, go watch The Fifth Element, it’s a fantastic film.

The rich and the government officials live on the top of the skyscrapers. Middle class typically lives near the middle. Lower class lives near the white mist, while the poor die out on the streets, are taken up by Civil Protection, or manage to live in the mist.

Technology has advanced to bring about flying cars, which in the twenty cities, are a necessity to get around as traveling by foot takes a long time in cities so large. Of course, guns also made an advance. Originally, they were only to be used by military and government officials, but as history proved time and time again, the public found a way, and crime soared. The guns of the future turned out to be pistols that shot lasers.

They varied in effects as well. Some were designed to kill on impact, but for the most part, they concentrated on stunning a target and rendering them unconscious. There were even some that allowed for large group incapacitations. All in all, many variants of long ranged weaponry exist.

However, none of this could stop Humanities newest threat.

The Grendarl

The Grendarl have been around for quite some time. Even back before the destruction of Earth, three of them were on Earth, studying Humans. They were all eventually caught, trapped, and captured. The Grendarl used to be a friendly species that traveled around the universe to study and learn. They have no physical form, and instead use a body as a host. If the host dies, they simply travel into another body, making death for them next to impossible.

There are limitations to their power, however. For example, they cannot jump into the body of those with a strong will. If the mind is strong enough, the Grendarl cannot take over the body. There are ways to contain one inside of one body, and when the Grendarl was captured, that’s what happened.

Humanity interested them greatly. They lived on Earth for years before the three of them came out to the public about what they were. Much to their dismay, the people of Earth didn’t take well to this. Scientists trapped them in their hosts and ran many experiments. The hosts were never cared for, as the scientists only cared for the beings inside of them. The Grendarl felt every ounce of pain as their bodies got older, worn out, and eventually starved to death.

Of course, all the testing done to them while they were in their hosts didn’t help them much either. The Grendarl experienced torture like no one had ever experienced before. They witnessed the cruelty of Humanity first hand; they even watched as they destroyed their own planet and did nothing of it. This caused them all to hate and despise humanity. They wanted nothing but revenge and justice for what the Humans did to them.

When their bodies died, the Grendarl experienced the pain of death… but didn’t die. The Scientists thought that if they were trapped in the hosts, they wouldn’t be able to leave and the Grendarl would die. But they did not. They lived, jumping into the bodies of the greatest minds that Earth had to offer. They were involved with everything, including the ARK project. Their ultimate goal was to trap Humanity on the ship and send them into space to starve to death.

However, things never went the way that they planned. The Humans landed on Corinith and enslaved other Species. As far as the Grendarl were concerned, they were now infected by whatever sickness the Humans carried. The Grendarl’s ultimate goal was to trap humanity on Corinith and have them run themselves in the ground. Today, they run the government of Corinith, and have everything under their control.

But no one even knows they exist, but there are theories among those in the Resistance...

Modern Day Corinith

Under the control of The Grendarl, the nature of the government on all the cities of Corinith is rather oppressive. No one is aware of the existence of the Grendarl, but it is evident by the way the government treats their people that something is not right. Many laws have been formed that make life hard on all citizens of Corinith. Yet breaking them means capture by the Civil Protection troops set around the city.

However, some have noticed that there are no prisons, nor are there recruitment centers for any branch of the military or Civil Protection. This has led many to speculate where the troops come from. Anyone caught doing a criminal act is never heard from again. The laws that have been formed are almost ludicrous in fashion. Some of them are as follows:

1) Every citizen must voluntarily register as a member of society or face imprisonment by Civil Protection.
2) Listening to music is prohibited under punishment by Civil Protection
3) Publicly talking down on the government is prohibited under punishment by Civil Protection.
4) People riding on Grav Lifts are subject to random searches and interrogation by Civil Protection.
5) Forms of art of literature not given the permission to be read by the government are prohibited under punishment by Civil Protection.
6) Those that travel outside of their cities will be imprisoned by Civil Protection
7) Traveling outside of the city without a proper permit is prohibited
8) Attempting to travel outside of the planet is punishable by death (There is a blockade off planet that will shoot down anything that attempts to escape orbit. To this day, no one has succeeded; those that have tried have all been killed.)
9) Carrying a firearm is prohibited
10) Procreation is prohibited with a punishment by death

Civil Protection members are clad in black and they all wear combat gear openly in the city. Each of them wears a helmet that hides their face completely. No one knows who they are, and the masks never come off. They are dangerous when provoked and very difficult to face and even more so to actually kill. They follow orders given to them by a radio in their helmets. When one is killed, a loud signal goes off that is broadcast to nearby units allowing them to find whoever killed them.

There exists a resistance group that defies the government openly. However, they are too small and too weak to do anything excessively damaging. They are the only ones that live outside of the city. They live in a small mountain range in a series of tunnels that they simply call “Haven”.

Tensions in the twenty cities are high, but no one dares openly defy the system. There exist people that do. Some run information, some sell firearms, some break into places to steal information. However, the numbers of these people drop daily, as they are either killed, or captured to never be heard from again.

The story takes place in City 17 (Half-Life 2 reference) also known as Zerice, the largest of the twenty cities, headquarters of the government, and where most of the Resistance stages their acts. As a citizen of Zerice, you’ll either be fighting back against the oppressive government by either being a member of the resistance or just being someone who doesn’t bow down, or you will be helping the government, either by playing as a Grendarl or just being someone affiliated with them, or you will be helping find a way off Corinith to a place where you can live free without their influence.

The year is 500A.C (After Corinith), and the RP begins exactly 500 years after Humans first show up on Corinith. (Note: the currency is called “Credits”, and yes, that is a Star Wars reference)

Technology

As stated above, Corinith is a world of vast technology. There are large ships, flying cars, and plenty of guns. These guns vary in what they do. There are also Grav Lifts (to be explained below), and many other things. For the most part, in this RP, you can go nuts creating your own technology. I, of course, will be reviewing everything that you make (which you will be putting in your bio under the “weapons/technology” section of your bio).

Even things found in your characters place of living will be created by you. There will be a section in your bios titled “place of living” where you go into detail about where it is your character lives. (Basically, just describe your character apartment.)

There will also be a section of your bio that will ask what your character travels around on. It can be a flying care, a Grav Lift, or in you choose not to have one, it can be simply nothing. Do remember, the RP takes place in Zerice, or City 17 as Civil Protection calls it. (Yes, I love Half-Life 2.)

Grav Lifts

Grav Lifts are essentially hoverboards. However, instead of just hovering above the ground, these boards fly. They are a primary for of travel for most young people. The boards are typically metallic in appearance, and have a small ion engine that allows them to fly. These can be decorated however the character wants. If you choose to give your character one, simply describe it in the “Grav Lift” section of your bio.

However, be aware that these do not travel more than thirty miles per hour. Keep in mind that if they went faster than that, then your character would probably end up falling off of it. While they may not be as fast as a flying car, they are far more maneuverable, and one can easily wield a weapon while flying it.

Occupation

Every citizen on Corinith must have a job. Ones that do not are typically working with the Resistance, or die due to not being able to afford to eat. The job can be anything that you think of. And, as you may have guessed, you fill this out in the “occupation” part of your bio. Just bear in mind, the job has to be something Cyberpunk/Sci-Fi. You are not a pirate of the seven seas. Deal w/ it.

Augmentations

Now, I realize that not everyone wants a character that uses guns and lasers and whatnot. However, magic on Corinith doesn’t exist… or at least, not anymore. Therefore, I’ve implemented the “augment” system.

What an Augment is, is an “edit” to one’s DNA/genes/whatever you want to call it, that allows them to do what is typically not possible for anyone. For example, if one wanted to be able to fire lightning from their fingertips, they could get an augment to do it. However, these come at a hefty price. Augments aren’t cheap, and they cannot be undone.

Not only that; augments are very painful. If one decides to get one, they can be assured that it will be one of the most painful experiences of their lives. These can allow one to jump higher, punch harder, run faster, or even shoot fireballs from their hand.

However, as stated before, these come at a price. Not only is it painful, but depending on what the character has done to them, it could have major side effects. For example, someone getting an augment to jump higher would find that their knees start to give out at a younger age. Someone wanting to punch harder may find that they get tired more easily in a fight.

When it comes to using things such as fire and lightning, one would find that the more they use fire, it burns them. If one has a fire augment, they would have burn marks on their arms and the palm of their hand. They may be able to use fire, they may be a little more resistant than others, but they are not immune. Shooting fire from your hand still burns.

The same would go for Lightning. If one is firing lightning from their fingertips, their fingertips would probably be burned off. This would show because their fingertips may be slightly lighter than the rest of their skin.

While I will be allowing you to create your own augments, do keep in mind that they must have a side effect. There has to be a weakness involved. Of course, I will be going over all of these to ensure that nothing is blow out of proportion. To create your own, just fill things out in the “augmentation” section of your bio. If you choose not to have any, just leave it blank.

Bear in mind that Civil Protection has devices that can turn them off. If one of them handcuffs someone with an augment, the augment turns off due to the technology of the handcuffs. However, even they can’t remove an augment. No one can, as the technology doesn’t exist to undo them.

Races/Species

There are only three premade races/species in this RP. Those are the Humans, the Grendarl, and the “Elf-like” species mentioned in the beginning of the thread. Anyone can be a Human, there are only three Grendarl, and yes, they are all evil, and there are only two Elves. To those that decide to be an Elf, you will have access to some information that will not be mentioned here. It is for your character only, and it is up to you to decide what your character does with it. Your character will, at some point, be pivotal to the plot.

Human – Race that anyone can be. They vary from background to personality.

The Grendarl – They have no physical appearance of their own. They can jump from body to body, and even to forms of technology such as robots or androids. They want nothing more than to rule over Humans in secrecy. Their long term goal is to see Humanity rip themselves apart under their rule. They are not invincible, but one has to be smart in order to kill one. Killing just one of them is next to impossible.

Elves – Only open to two people. They have long ears, and their race was the ones that lasted the longest against the Humans when they first arrived. However, the majority of them left. No one knows where they went except for the Elves. Because of their mysterious disappearance, they are rare, and if seen by Civil Protection, they are hunted down for questioning. They have access to a very crucial piece of information. While they do not hate Humans, they are very distrusting of them.

I will be allowing you to create your own race/species. Go fucking nuts with it. However, be as descriptive as you can be. Is your race humanoid? Are they reptilian? How tall are they? How strong are they? What is their average life span? How do they hold themselves around other races? As I said, be descriptive as possible when creating them.

You can fill all of that out under the “race/species” section of your bio. I’ll be going over them in major detail, and I will be asking questions about them. Have fun, go nuts, but be very descriptive… VERY DESCRIPTIVE.

Recycled Alyss, from CoA for this. As it stands, she's my favorite Alyss so far.

Name: Alyss Scarlet

Age: 20

Race/Species: Human

Appearance:
dcpi8i.jpg

Alyss stands in at around 5 foot 9 inches. While she isn’t tall, she most certainly isn’t short. She only weighs 108 pounds. One of the first features that people notice is the bandage she wears around her eye. Contrary to popular belief, her eye works just fine. However, she has had surgery done to it. Instead of looking like a normal human eye, it’s been changed to allow her to see in the dark. However, the eye patch she wears blocks light from getting into it, as it is so sensitive that any amount of light straight to it blinds her and gives her headaches.

She has long black hair that goes down to the upper portion of her lower back. More often than not, it’s in her face, or a tangled mess, as she only brushes it when leaving her home. For clothing, Alyss often wears darker clothes, as she is also color blind and would rather not bother attempting to pick out matching colors. Meaning, she only wears black or white clothing. She prefers the former. More often than not, she wears a somewhat open dress shirt that shows off her collar bone, but nothing beneath that. For pants, she wears baggy dress slacks. Her decent, going back to Earth, is half East-Asian, half English.

She has a rather slender figure. Her bust size is a little too big for her frame, but not too much so. She isn’t very strong physically, but she can still throw quite the mean punch. All in all, she can probably only lift 75 pounds. Her face is somewhat sharp angled, giving others the impression she is often irritated.

Her eye is mostly organic, but does have a few mechanical parts. Her right eye had lost a significant amount of its ability to see so she had surgery done to it. It now is able to see perfect 20/20, and it allows her to see in the dark. However, as explained before, it has to be covered in places that have light, or else the light is too bright, and it blinds her.

Her eye right eye looks like this:
1zxqwjp.jpg

Both of her arms are also covered. Due to augments that she had implanted into the both of them, they have scars in the shape of lightning strikes all over them. They only go to her elbow to her hands. They aren’t hideous, but she still doesn’t enjoy looking at them. Therefore, her arms are always covered, as well as her hands. When it comes to her hands, she has no fingertips due to her abuse of her augments. They aren’t scared, but her fingertips are significantly lighter than the rest of her skin.

She’s often seen as beautiful to others, but she doesn’t consider herself to be, and in all honesty, she doesn’t really care.

Personality: Alyss is rather quiet. However, she is not shy. She simply prefers to speak when spoken to, and not to speak unless absolutely necessary. She keeps to herself, and is socially awkward to be around no matter what. She’s direct and to the point, meaning that when she does speak, she can be rather rude. Her manner of speaking is rather high class and punctual, despite her upbringing. She’s not afraid to be honest with people, and she isn’t afraid to be rude and hurt the feelings of others, because she doesn’t care what anyone else thinks about her. She doesn’t use contractions, meaning when she speaks she says the whole word. So instead of “can’t” you get “cannot”. Her accent is English, from Earth.

However, she isn’t immune to intimidation. While on the outside, or in situations that otherwise don’t matter, Alyss appears to be tough. On the inside, she really just wants to be left alone. She is, in all reality, scared of people and being hurt. However, she faces that fear with no problems. Deep on the inside, however, it eats at her slowly. She doesn’t know who to trust, and as far as he knows, she doesn’t know if there is anyone that she can trust.

To combat this, Alyss doesn’t ever give up. It simply isn’t in her nature to. Even when absolutely defeated, she refuses to bow down and give in. (However, pushed past a certain pain threshold, she will eventually break down.)

In combat, Alyss is cold and methodical in execution. She doesn’t show off, and she doesn’t play around. However, despite her ability to deal damage and never think about the feelings of others, Alyss cannot stand pain. When hurt past a certain point, she will lock up and start to be unsure.

Saying that Alyss is socially awkward is an understatement. She’s been alone much of her life, and as such, she doesn’t really know how to properly behave around other people. This is why she is cold and distant. She’s polite when she’s trying, but for the most part, she can be rather rude. Relationships make no sense to her as she has never actually been in one. Meaning she is probably even more awkward in a relationship than out of one.

While she is strong willed, and while she isn’t the type of person to give in, as said before, she has a breaking point. However, when it comes to something that could be dangerous, or threatening to someone else; while she may cry out in pain, and beg for one to stop, she will never give up certain bits of information. They would have to kill her.

Her only real fear is the fear of the dark, which she has more or less solved due to her right eye.

Weapons: In order to travel light, Alyss has no weapons. Instead, she chooses to use her augments.

Place of living: Much of Alyss’ work is rather illegal, and can get her in major trouble with Civil Protection. As such, her home is very well hidden. Her “home” lies about 300 feet into the white mist that covers the ground layer of every city. It is hard to breath in it, so Alyss constantly carries a gasmask with her when traveling in and out of the mist.

Her “home” is a series of air vents that are rather large. The air vents blow outwards so that the mist never gets in. The building, ironically, belongs to Civil Protection, and she lives at the base of it. As stated, the vents are very large, meaning one can stand straight up and their head won’t touch the top of it. The vents are a twisted labyrinth of metal and steel. Not only that, they are very cold. In the middle of the vent system is where Alyss makes her home, completely undetected by Civil Protection.

Because she is so close, she can hack into their mainframe and steal information that she sells. (To be explained later.) The vents are very dark, so Alyss uses her right eye to be able to see in them. Besides dark and barren, she has a lot of books in the vents that she reads. A lot of them are of Earth and what things were like on them. It fascinates her, and she loves to read more and more about it. On her computers besides confidential files, is music, which has been prohibited.

Other than her computer and a bunch of books, is a couch, which she sleeps on, and a large black blanket that she uses to cover herself at night as it gets very cold in the vents.

Occupation: Alyss is many things. She is an information dealer, a hacker, and a courier. She sells information to people that want it, she hacks into systems for the information, and she delivers things for people who want to ensure that Civil Protection can never see it. She’s very good at what she does, and she has never been caught. There are times when she is followed, and her employers usually let her sleep on their couch until the heat dies down.

Technology: The only thing that Alyss carries on her that could be considered technology is a kind of grappling laser. It looks like a small pistol, but instead of a bullet or a beam, it shoots a whip like beam that grabs hold of objects. She only uses this if she is about to fall from her Grav Lift so that she can grab onto a street light so she doesn’t fall to her doom. The potential to use this as a weapon is next to nothing.

Transportation: Alyss uses a Grav Lift to get around the city. The board is about half her height in length. It’s black, with green and red neon lighting on it. The top speed of it is 30 miles per hour. However, she is so light she typically only goes twenty five so she doesn’t fly off of it. She is very good at riding her Grav Lift as well, in all of her years riding one; she has only fallen off of it once. She does not know how to drive a car.

Augments: Alyss has had extensive work done with augments. She has four, the maximum recommended amount. She has a Lightning augment in her right and left arms. These allow her to fire lightning from her fingertips at an enemy. She can also create bright flashes with them, and create a barrier. She can fire ten charges of lightning at an enemy per hand. Once she hits 10 with one hand, it begins to burn her, and she also would have to build up a charge again. When using her powers for a barrier, it lasts ten minutes tops. It lasts less if it’s being hit. One she’s at her limit, she has to recover a charge again, and her arms will begin to burn from the inside.

One of the other ones controls her board. She is linked with it through the augment. If she wants it to speed up, all she has to do is think about it instead of using a remote. If she needs it to move in a certain fashion she can’t manage at a moment, she simply has to think about it. The side effect of this is that at times, it can make concentrating while operating her lift difficult.

The other one is a small self regenerating augment. This prevents smaller wounds, and allows her to heal faster. However, if she gets shot, she can’t close up the wound with it, and if she loses a body part, it doesn’t come back. The side effects of this are if she is wounded, the augment drains her as it heals her. The bigger the wound, the more it takes from her.

Body Modifications: Her right eye has been modified to see in the dark. However, if her eye patch comes out during the day and it sees light, the light blinds her badly. The pain of it would be so intense that it instantly gives her a massive headache. So unless she is in a pitch black room, she refuses to take it off.

Skills: Alyss is very resource full, and she can cook rather well.

History: Born in 480AC, Alyss grew up as a single child. Her Father, Nathanial Scarlet, worked as a salesman for a car company. Her Mother, Sakura Scarlet, was a stay at home Mother who watched over her. Alyss and her Father had a great relationship. Nathanial loved his daughter, and Alyss in turn loved her Father. Often, he would by her gifts and take her to do fancy things. All in all, when it came to Nathanial and Alyss, they were almost inseparable.

When Alyss was left alone with her Mother, her Mother refused to do much with her. Sakura was cold and distant with Alyss, and would often hit her out of jealousy and spite. She hated the attention that Nathanial showed her, and felt as if Alyss was taking her husband away from her. Living in Zerice was difficult. Alyss never made friends because Nathanial was far too paranoid to send her daughter to school in a city like Zerice.

Because of this, Alyss never really knew how to interact with other people. The only person in the world that she ever spoke to was her Father, because her Mother wanted nothing to do with her. Part of this made Alyss angry, and in a way, she took after her Mother when it came to speaking to others. When Alyss was 9 years old, her Mother became more violent towards her… much more violent. She would hit and beat Alyss constantly for seemingly nothing.

When she did so, she made Alyss swear not to tell Nathanial. When Nathanial went out for work, Sakura beat her daughter constantly. At first, Alyss thought it was all her fault, and that she deserved it. Eventually, she would simply become angry… and then as it continued, she lost that spark she once had as a child.

When Alyss was 14, Nathanial died of a massive heart attack. This left her alone with Sakura, who saw this as an open invitation to continue to beat her daughter more. At the age of 16, Alyss had long since had enough. She used the credits her Father had left for her to get her first two augments. To this day, she recalls it as the most painful experience of her life. Her blood felt as if it was boiling, and her arms became scared. The scars took a shape that looked like small lightning strikes after the element that she had chosen to be her first augments.

Days later, her Mother would go to beat her again… but Alyss fought back. She hadn’t meant to kill her mother, but she did. Alyss quickly took all of the Credits that she could, and she packed a few of her things and left. Eventually, she would find the vents, and from there, she learned everything she could about computers, how they operate, and she then went on to see what all she could do. At 17, she learned almost everything.

She bought her Grav Lift, her computers, a gasmask to travel to the Vents without her coughing her lungs out, and she got into books and music. Both of which were illegal. She learned that the building she was currently staying in the vents in belonged to Civil Protection, and she hacked into their networks daily, taking information and selling it. Twice, she has been approached by members of the Resistance, and twice she has refused their offers of joining.

She has run from Civil Protection before. From her early days doing what she does now, she’s run and at times she’s been hurt. However, as it stands, she great at what she does now. There have been times where she has fought Civil Protection off, but every time she was wounded in some way. Civil Protection is tough, and she tries to have as little to do with them as possible.

She makes a rather good living, but she doesn’t flaunt it. She has contacts around the city, and she is convinced that something odd is going on in the government, but she really doesn’t have a clue what. Today, she is 20, and she continues her work as an information dealer and a courier.

Shotgun second Post! My bio will be here

AND I KNEW, this setting sounded familiar. HL2. Doesnt help that i just finished playing it. I loved the setting so this is going to be great

Name:
Desiree Irae

Age:
20

Race/Species:
Human

Appearance:

top216.jpg

Height: 177 cm. Neither too tall nor short. Perfect for her job.
Weight: 58 kg
Physique: Tough, solid and fit. Her natural build is a medium so she has substantial size to offer strength and speed.
Ethnicity: 1/4 Asian, 3/4 Caucasian
Hair: Her hair is somewhere between golden and light blonde with a tinge of brown in it. It reaches down just past her shoulder blades.
Eyes: Dies' eyes are mixed heterochromatic, being a mix of hazel green and steel grey.
Skin: Caucasian pink.
Desiree is of average height and weight, not too tall or short, nor too heavy. Considering how physique and her body size, this is actually light as most of her mass is muscles plus her prosthesis. Both of her legs, one from mid thigh down, the other from the hip, are replaced with pneumatic/ hydraulic hybrid whilst her entire left arm plus shoulder (think Full Metal Alchemist) is replaced with a similar hybrid system. Only her right arm is completely organic. Being mechancial, they add additional weight to her. Originally, she would be 54 kg.

Her blonde hair is grown to just past the shoudler blades while her fringe parts somewhat in the middle and ends just past her nose. It is at a tolerable length that Desiree would let it without it getting in the way when she is working. Desiree fits into the buxom blonde category, with a sizeable bust and a curvy figure with her medium frame means that it looks natural on her. Desiree visage is rather pretty when natural. It is not at the level where people will continually gawk at her, but at a level where she can get people to do a double take. It has retained her teen beauty with what seems like a slight perpetual smile on her lips

As stated before, she has a fair amount of prosthesis due to a job related accident. Her employers were more than willing to assist her in obtaining the top of the range prosthesis (with a few modifications) for Desiree since she was a long time employee with an immaculate record. Her leg prosthesis (shown on toes. It stands like a normal leg) and her left arm are made of light weight, highly resilient materials. The prosthesis allow for advanced physical capabilities, giving Dies ability to move and run faster as well as greater strength in her left arm. Interestingly enough, Desiree has chosen to wear a pair of metal gloves (minus nails) as a fashion acccessory. Whilst she does like the design, the claw parts are hidden in each finger tips to allow better purchases on surfaces.

Attire:
[FONT=&quot]Underneath, she wears a pure black halter neck bikini top (as seen in pic). On top of the bikini is a white suit shirt with the sleeves rolled to the elbow and has the top three buttons unbuttoned with a black underbust corset vest on top this. Deiree wears a pair of baggy, black suit pants help up with a white leather belt with one end trailing down the front and a pair of black converse hi-tops for her lower body. For her hands, she has the pair of gloves that end a bit past the wrist.

On occasions, Desiree wears a black long coat. Usually, it is left completely open or buttoned to her waist. On her head is a black fedora tipped low. On the back of her waist is a black waist bag that holds anything that is needed whilst on her neck, Desiree wears a black choker.

She doesn't quite mind her prosthetic arms, however, Desiree does feel that her legs do draw attention in addition with her arm. Therefore, she avoids wearing anything that might reveal her legs.

Personality:
Desiree have things set out for herself in her mind. Her work state of mind and her casual state of mind is set quite clearly. When she is in work mode, due to the illegal nature of it, anything that may lead to her clients or reveal anything detrimental, she can hide and keep to herself. In this aspect, she is a perfect liar or con person. With professional ease, Desiree can sprout lies as if the truth. She knwos there is no advantage in divulging secrets, so if things came down to it, she would go down with whatever she held and knew rather than drag others down with her. In face of interrogation and opposition, Desiree is defiant to the last breath. She takes pride in her Australian ancestry, a breed of tough people and she would not allow herself to disgrace it.

For things unrelated to her jobs or require secrecy, Desiree is like any normal person. She can be a relatively open and straightforward person with certain things, but her ability when in her work mindset means she is not immune to lying, and successful at that, though there is very little consequences in these cases. Normally, she is friendly with people as a recluse and anti social persona draws unwanted attention from all sorts of people. Being sociable, blending in with a crowd and lose attention from herself is not hard, particularly since she doesn't have to act sociable.

Her mannerism is more rough around the edge and casual. Her speech is littered with casual and colloquial language, more reminiscent of Australian way of speech. Her tough exterior and will shows her Australian lineage, being able to take abuse of all kinds and not break. This is incredibly useful as her work takes her out and about amongst danger. A lesser person would break to pieces after what she has gone through, but her iron will has seen to it that she rolled with whatever was thrown at her and continued on.

Weapons:
Her job means that Desiree must travel light. Carrying a large arsenal of weaponry is out of the question. However, instead, Desiree carries a pair of Variable Purpose Sidearm and a single hybrid laser/ material blade.
2 x V.P.S: Whip Mode (Basically the front muzzle of the pistol is raised upwards to create a straight line with the grip.)
As its name implies, it is not restricted to just popping someone in the head. Reconfiguring the emission and rigidity of the form it takes, Desiree can make the sidearm emit a small blade for delicate work, a larger one for more offensive purposes or make it whip like to be used like a whip. With its power she can cause severe damage to her targets due to the nature of the weapon and can be also used as a stun weapon if she latches onto a person and sends a surge at them. The whip shape is her default for her main pistol holstered behind her waist on the right whilst the left pistol is configured to shoot. The greatest function about the whip config is that it also doubles as a grapple which is very popular amongst couriers these days, particularly the free running kind like her. Whilst there are many more configurations, Desiree's main ones are the small knife, the blade, shooting, whip and grapple fire. When shooting, the projectile is laser. However, each gun is configured differently. Her main pistol fires stun rounds for incapacitating while her off hand gun is configured for kill shots.

1 x Hybrid knife:
The knife is a 40 cm single edged utility blade with a dual edge system. This means that it has both a laser edge and a material edge. The blade itself is quite capable of slicing and dicing just by itself prior activating the laser edge. When activated, a layer of laser is formed in a sharp acute V hugging the material edge, allowing for further improved cutting capabilities against armoured target. The laser ege is a light ice blue in colour. It is a multi use tool. Desiree uses this from self defense through to splicing wires and peeling apples.

Left arm blades x2: These are blades stored in her left arm prosthesis. Laser sharpened blades that are capable of stabbing and chopping are stored in her left arm, hidden where they would extend outwards when Desiree wants them to. Both rests inside her arm and when actiavted, a thin long section at the top of her forearm will pop up and the first blade will shoot outwards down towards her wrist. This blade is 50 cm in length, thought 10 cm is used to make up for her hand being in the way. only 40 cm of the blade can actually be used. Through the same hatch, her elbow blade can also come out and is 50 cm. However, when used with solo configuratin, she only extends it by 40 cm. When using dual configuration with both blades out at 50 cm, Desiree is able to let the blades spin like a fan at high speeds. The hatch for the blades is not impeded, nor is the rotation action obstructed by the gloves she wear.
Place of Living:
Whilst she herself is not poor, Desiree, for the sake of her clients and her job, lives just below the surface of the mist. This means that she can avoid suspicion should someone keep seeing her, a rich person travelling constantly down to the mists.

As for her apartment, Desiree purposefully picked a ramshackled alleyway to be the street on which she lived in. Her apartment is on the 38th floor, not too high off the floor, nor too low, off in a side alley rather than facing the main street. The door to her house resembles more of a warehouse door, being the exact same colour as the walls and steel in appearance with a eye slit. However, on the inside, it is much more cosy. Albeit not luxurious, it is warm and has a fair few amenities that most people living in the mist probably couldn't afford. Things like multiple computers with multiple screens for surveillance and hacking (mostly security cameras and for planning travel routes) and data gathering as well as televisions, books, nice open kitchen and a window facing the main street.

For details, the apartment consist of a short corridor from the door to the maiin lounge room. Whilst originall sporting a room where the front window is, Desiree had that torn down to make one, big living space.

Her "bedroom" consists of the left side of the apartment, taking a third of the space with a double futon on a raised tatami bed off the floor. Her wardrobe is next to the foot of her bed against the opposite wall from the main entrance. and her bathroom takes up the rest of the left hand corner of the apartment with a shower and bathtub. Under her bed is an escape chute that allows her to slide down into the bowels of the building where there is multiple escape paths she can take as well as a set of escape gear
On the far right side of the apartment is all her technical stuff such as computers, television, books, taking a quarter of the space whilst next to it at the right corner of the apartment closest to the entrance, is her open kitchen with white goods found in most middle class families. In fact, her entire apartment is decorated and designed so that people would think they steppped into a teleporter and got beamed up to the middle section. In the middle section in between her bedroom and the kitchen and study is the lounge, where there is a low floor japanese table.

Occupation:
Desiree is a specialised courier. She specialises in delivering items from one point to another physically so that it is not tracked by the Civil Protection Agency. She is a top player in the field, with a 100% success rating, even during the mission which led to her losing 3 of her limbs. Desiree have often moves incognito amongst crowds like any normal people, but her clients mostly require her to deliver items which would be disastrous if searched from her body, hence she is skilled in sneaking around at night and traversing between buildings during dead of night without detection.

Technology:
Data Watch: Whilst on the surface, it is a normal watch, it is a receiver and data processor which she can link to her Tactical Eyepiece. This device can help her keep track of security cameras along her path, news update from resistance network about CP movements as well as recording things from her eyepiece and showing maps.

Tactical Eyepiece: Linked in with her Data Watch, this eyepiece is the HUD for Desiree. Whilst she wears it on one side of her ear, when activated, the lens can virtually extend to her right eye. This lens display maps, small real time feed of cameras, real time information from the watch as well as zoom capabilities, different filters for different lighting conditions as well as assisting her during parkouring and combat.

Gas Mask: The typical must have piece of equipment in Corinth due to the pollution.

Transportation
Whilst the Gravity Lifts are very portable, they don't go as fast as she liked, but cars are too bulky with lots of red tape and restrictions. Therefore, Desiree went in between the two for a HoverBroom© model Gluhen Descherzen
Gluhen Descherzen #2 #3: Gluhen Descherzen is Desiree's main form of transport. Like it's brand name, it heavily resembles brooms that witches ride on. However, the one big obvious difference is that it fly at hover car speed level and is made of metallic composite to allow it to perform the extreme maneuvers that Desiree put it through. It stands at 1.85 cm tall and is capable of hovering. The engines are at the rear with three exhausts. One is the central boost exhaust, and the other are the twin wings at the sides which has flaps used for speed boost and turning. The seat is a small curving saddle that is barely wider than the neck itself, meaning balance is critical in controlling Gluhen Descherzen. The openness that the pilot is exposed to makes it a craft only for the most gutsy and skille riders that can withstand the elements, speed of the craft and have the nerve to fly through the air at break neck speed. Desiree use it mostly for intercity or heavy metropolis flight and travel amongst other cars and vehicles.
Augments:
With one hand and two legs prosthetic, Desiree did not want any more complications within her than necessary. What she needed such as physical movement improvements and such are already done with her prosthesis, so Desiree did not see a point to making physically enhancing augmentation.

She does have one augmentation for back up which is invisibility. By activating this, she is granted invisibility for a short period of time, which includes her clothing and her limbs. The response from her body is that the initial invisibility would have a minor dent on her, making her slightly winded. The invisibility can last for three minutes. However, every subsequent invisibility reduces the time in half as well as double how much she tires. By the time she reaches her 7th invisibility, she has only 7 seconds worth of invisibility and would be quite tired already. When she hits the 8th, she would begin to have trouble running straight. Her body would not be able to keep up with her mechanical limbs and as a side effect of her side effects, constantly moving like such would cause injuries to herself around those areas. In addition, if she turns it off, she loses all time remaining from that invisibility. So if she switched it off at 2 minutes, the last minute is lost.

Body Modification:
As stated before, Desiree has three prosthesis, an entire left arm and shoulder and two legs.
Legs: (Pic shows it on tip toe. It is usually flat like normal legs)
Her right leg is all the way top the pelvic bone, hip joint inclusive while her left leg is all the way up mid thigh, pretty much up to in line with her her pelvic region. Running on a hybrid pneumatic/ hydraulic system, Desiree is given heightened moving capabilities such as running, jumping and landing. The hydraulics enable the ability to perform these maneuvers whilst the pneumatics and suspensions allow for her to complete them safely. Made of the latest technology in materials and design, they are highly durable and much more advanced than what you would find even in the middle class section, plus a few illegal modifications.

Left arm: Similarly to her legs, Desiree's arm run on a hybrid system. Whilst the pneumatic systems and suspensions compensate for the reactions such as when catching onto a ledge, the hydraulics allow for strength to perform actions such as pulling herself up by a single hand, lift heavy objects in tandem with her legs, bend and break objects etc. It in general allows her to perform actions which is not possible with normal limbs.

Skills:
Desiree is brilliant at free falling, scaling and parkour as it is the main action of her job. She can confidently drop off a building and use her whips to basically swing around and between buildings, although four swings is the max she can get before the guns require cooldown, but realisticly, two to three is the most she does as doing four would overheat the gun and leave her vulnerable. Besides job related skills, she is also a skilled mechanic, capable of self repairing her limbs from scraps as well as a talented and skilled gambler.

History:
Desiree would not be in her current situation was she born in a nice surrounding. Early life story is sad, but not all that uncommon for those living down in the mist. Her father died in a random mugging when she was 10 and her mother soon followed froma robbers failed robbery. For a lone child of her age, that meant the orphanages, which she stayed at until she was 13. However, things were just as worse as if out on the streets. The older kids bossed the younger ones around and it was basically a eat or be eaten world in there. Desiree, having the stubborn blood of Earth Australians, would not bend to them and scuffled very often with others. It was a relatively futile effort as no one else was willing to stand up with her.

After a while, not being able to stand it, Desiree decided to take to the streets and risk it if it wasn't going to be any different. The life of a rogue delinquent was fun and refreshing for the two of years she was one, building the foundation of what she is now with plenty of sneaking, fighting, night time illegal ventures and theft, but the confrontation with Civil Protection without any support of any kind was rough. That and that she was finding it hard to survive as Credit income was low. She then decided to put her sneaking skills to good use and get a proper job. Legal, it was not, but being a courier bought in a fair amount of credit considering the hazardous nature of it. She never liked the CP as they seemed too oppressive and felt like they were hiding something. Those living above the mist might not see it with their fairy tale world, but those down here with her did.

Business was slow initially as not many people would trust a 15 year old kid. However one of her clients, who soon become her main patron, gave her a chance with a big job that was going to be damn risky and crashing directly with Civil Protection. She was to deliver important information to a resistant member deep inside the top floors of the city. Her keen eye for details and ability ensured that Desiree wasn't shot at or even spotted, making it safely to her patron's meeting spot. That marked the growth of her being a courier. As he gave her more jobs, he also recommended her to many others that wish to avoid the eyes of Civil Protection. Things went well until one fateful night where CP was tipped off when she was 18.

Along her planned route, she managed to bypass many of traps laid by CP, laughing to herself as the obliviously let her pass by them. She made the drop successfully, but at the CP managed to receive another tip off that they missed her and began to close in. Running for her life before they saw her, one lone CP soldier spotted her from the distance as she was roof running at the lower levels. Due to how far she was, bullets splattered all around her, but one caught her straight on the left shoulder and the other the right knee which spun her around. She dropped to the ground unable to stand. Rather than succumb to torture or risk blowing her client's covers, Desiree decided to scew CP. Dragging herself to the edge of the building, she threw herself over the edge before the soldier got to her rooftop. Effectively, she disappeared, assumed killing herself as later investigations saw the blood splatter on the ground, but the lack of body meant the person probably was looted and possibly, harvested by other mist dwellers. Since they had no information as to who she was, they dropped investigations.

Unfortunately for them, Desiree's patron, code named Memochou (notebook) had his men gather her as he received news of the tip off, dragging her into the sewers and back to their territory. Against all odds, she survived with miraculously light wounds for such a fall. Light being three completely shattered limbs needing replacement, broken ribcages, contused organs and multiple internal bleedings. Her head was, by any God's grace, unharmed bar a bad bump. Through an intense knife edge month, Desiree stabilised. Her legs and her left arm had to go, which was unavoidable and was quickly replaced so that she would immediately adapt to it. They also spliced her genes a bit by giving her an invisibility augment. This she did not ask and she frowned a bit, but considering how he just saved her, Desiree didn't complain. It was free and it does help her job. Taking the rest of the year off to recuperate and adjust herself to her new limbs and augment, Desiree was back on her feet in no time and began courier running again with even more efficiency. Now 20, with money now not really a problem, she does feel that something seems wrong with Corinth and the Administration. The network she has along with Memochou's own network showed that something is amiss. What that was, she didnt know, but she knew that Memochou was investigating and with a personal interest, she continues to run for her patrons.

Character Bio - Finished

Name: Bernard Hart (Fake name: Charlie McMahn)

Age: 26

Race/Species: Human

Appearance:
sketch_of_leo_by_mezamero-d35pjje.jpg

Eyes: Cool piercing blue eyes, cat-like in appearance. They are Bernard's most defining features, as he usually wears black the ice-blue of his eyes really stands out.
Hair: Neat black hair tied into a pony-tail. It is shorter and choppier near his face, framing his delicate features quite nicely. His hair is shiny and silky, giving the impression that he takes very good care of it when really each morning he just ties it up. Many women come up to him and ask him how he gets his hair to look so great.
Skin Colour: Pale and as white as snow. Bernard has almost no colour to his skin. He finds when he gets too warm or cold that his nose and cheeks will glow a light red but that's usually the only colour you'll see. This is mainly because of his invisibility augment.
Body Build: Thin and stick-like. Bernard is a stick-figure amongst men. He has slight muscle definition but under all the clothes he wears it is hard to tell. He just looks like a frail young man.
Weight:65kg, quite light for his height.
Height: Five foot Eleven. Bernard is an average height for a male.
Attire: Bernard is usually seen in very neat and professional attire. He will often wear a white shirt with snug fitting black slacks, a white shirt and neat black dress shoes. He will wear a tie and a buttoned overcoat to complete his look. When he is at home he enjoys lounging around in various rare items of clothing he has collected over the years. His favourite is a brown kimono with a floral and bird pattern covering it, he finds it to be the most comfortable thing ever.
Other: In this day and age when technology is so abundant that you can correct any and every default with your body, it is rare and strange to see anyone with glasses. Bernard is one of these people. He feels his glasses show who he is, he is a big believer in identity. He therefore has bad eye sight but only in his right eye and wears glasses (that were stylish in the 21st century.
Personality:
Bernard has many elements to his personality, many who meet him can't figure out what he's going to do or say next. He is rather unpredictable and spontaneous. He thinks it just adds to his charm.

Risk taking and cockiness is a big part of his nature. Bernard will challenge everyone and everything. He is constantly giving out little clues on his radio station about his identity, he wants to see how clever their government really is. Sometimes he will brag to his loyal listeners about the kinds of art he's collected. Once he even played Mozart for them just so they could experience it at least once in their life. He is a big believer in freedom of speech and will do his best to give the people of Corinith a voice.

He also likes to play dumb when being questioned. He can't help slipping in a snide remark here and there just to get a chuckle out of a situation. He's been thrown in jail twice in his life for making snide remarks when civil protection decided to randomly search him.

Laid back is also part of his personality, he is quite happy to sit back in a comfy pair of pyjamas or even in a piece of rare clothing he's collected and just sit by the fire place sipping wine or munching on chocolates. Bernard is rather posh you see as his family were quite well off until they were tragically murdered for possessing banned items such as pieces of art and black listed music. He has a slight accent to his voice but he isn't sure where it came from. The accent had been in his family for generations but their nationality got lost somewhere along the way. But it does sound a little like an English accent.

He is strong willed and determined and so long as he is getting his messages across to his viewers he'll be happy. He's a bit of a flirt too but being locked up in hiding for most of his days means he doesn't get out and about, so meeting new people is hard. This leaves him feeling a little lonely and isolated, which is kind of ironic seeing as he talks to thousands of people a day.

His weakness is his cockiness, Bernard knows that one day he will get caught and executed because of it, but life is for living he says and he won't stop his crusade until he dies or something is done about their government.

Weapons:
Bernard carries a laser pistol around with him at all times. He is a wanted man and any form of protection is very much wanted. Although the pistol is small it is easy hide within his coat and most of the time no one can even tell it's there.

The pistol shoots out a red hot laser, it can easily burn through flesh and leave a person writhing in pain. It's not very powerful though and would need to have the laser pointed in one spot long enough to actually burn through a humans body.

Bernard is more of a fleer than a fighter anyway and he'd rather just immobilize someone and run than kill them. He doesn't need a murder charge on top of his many other felonies so this pistol is perfect for him.

Place of Living:
600m below the mist is where Bernard has lived for the last 5 years. His home is in a disgusting, dirty and poisonous area and would make a terrible place to live for most but surprisingly for Bernard it is the safest place he could ever be.

The outside is dingy and ugly and just plain old looking. To almost anyone it would look inhabitable death-trap. It sits below one of the older skyscrapers, helping to hold it up. Bernard chose this place because civil protection chose to inspect the newer towers rather than the older ones so his home almost never came under threat. Although hidden away in sneaky corners are a few cameras, this way Bernard can see who's coming.

On the inside it is really quite stunning but before you see anything you enter a chamber. It pushes all the toxic air out and fills the room with fresh air. Once the light on the door turns green it is safe to take your mask off. Now, once through that door you come to the main living area: he has his walls covered with amazing art pieces that he's collected form black market sales men. He has an electric fireplace and an old armchair, it looks like something from a story book. He'd never been much of a fan of the 'modern' technology and wanted to have his home as cosy and unique as possible. He has an old record player next to his armchair and he will sit there listening to music. He has not had the time to renovate his kitchen and it looks quite modern compared to the living area, he plans to have the whole house matching when he comes into some money. Out the back there is a room which he dedicates to his collectables and on the other side of the house is his radio room with all his equipment. This room is his pride and joy. He'd already had his old radio room taken from him, it wasn't going to happen again.

Occupation:
Bernard is a Rebellious Radio Broadcaster or RRB as he likes to call it. He brings news through radio stations and on different computer sites to every person within Corinith if they choose to tune in. His speciality is rebellious news. He will try to get people to understand and believe that the government is corrupt, he will go out of his way to gain information, damning information and then he'll present it on his station for all to hear. He'll then let the public decide what they believe. He does have a few followers and is in ties with the resistance but prefers to work away from them. On his Radio station he is known as 'Mr. B'

Unfortunately owning a freelance and non-profit radio station doesn't bring in the dough so he has to find alternate means of gaining Credits. Luckily his family were quite rich and when his mother and father were taken from him they left him with a hefty sum of money, it wouldn't be enough to live off for the rest of his life but it did kick start him in the trades business.

He got his hands on a rare painting and sold it for twice the amount and has been doing that ever since. He is heavily involved in the black markets and plans to keep it that way. He'll always keep the best items for himself though.

Technology:
The only item of technology that Bernard carries around with him is his gas-mask. He needs it to get in and out of his house, it's essential. It filters the air and purifies it before entering his lungs.

Transportation:
Grav lifts aren't quite Bernard's cup of tea. He isn't overly fond of the flying car either but feels it brings much less attention, you can easily fly a car into a crowd of hundreds and blend in like a heard of zebra.

He drives in a black flying car, it's quite fancy and new but otherwise it is really ordinary. The interior is trim and proper, unfortunately cows dies out long ago so leather is hard come by so faux leather covers his seats instead, it does look quite real however. There is a screen inside instead of a window and it is commanded by voice prompts.

Augments:
Bernard has two Augments fused with his body. They are mainly for survival as Bernard has no desire to harm if he can avoid it.

Invisibility: This augment was fused with his entire body of skin. He can match his skin to the world around him and completely disappear for 10 minutes. He even had it modified to hide his clothing as well. Unfortunately this kind of operation is very dangerous and side effects do happen on occasion. Sometimes he finds his skin feels like it's on fire for hours, other times he can't turn back and has stayed invisible for an entire two days, this was one of the most horrific experiences of his life. He finds each time he uses his invisibility for the max amount of time he can a new symptom shows itself. His skin has also gotten paler from using this augment.

Faster Speed + Higher Jumping: The second Augment Bernard had done was to his legs, he needed to be able to make a fast get away if he was ever in trouble (which was a lot of the time) and he thought what could be better than faster speed and higher jumps? He had his legs operated on and can now run at 40km for 4 Minutes exactly, He can also jump the hight of an ordinary one story house. Unfortunately this augment also comes with a price and he has found his legs ache and sometimes his knees give way as he is running.

Body modifications:
Bernard is 95% human, the only modification he has had done was he had a camera installed into his left eye. Not only is this handy for sneakily taking photos of the governments wrong doings but he can also use 5x zoom making his left eye rather good at long distance sight where as his right eye is still almost blind.

He also has a little chip installed into the palm of his hand, all he has to do is swipe it over his laptop which has a twin chip installed and his photos download onto it.

Skills:
Charisma: Bernard has the gift of the gab. He can talk and talk and talk about anything and make it seem interesting. Lucky for him as that's a handy skill to have for someone in the media business.

Invention: Bernard is a bit of an inventor. He invented all of his radio equipment and even the chip in his palm (he had a doctor insert it though) he is quite smart and understands the way mechanical objects work.

Hacking: This isn't one of his strong skills but he has had to force himself to learn a bit about hacking as the government keeps closing down his show over the internet. He is able to bypass filters over the web and that's about as far as his hacking skills go.

History:
Bernard was born to a wealthy family. They lived above the mist in one of the tallest towers. His father was part of the government, an advisor to be precise and his mother worked in a law firm. Apparently they were descendants from royalty many generations ago and they had always had a nice sum of money tucked away in case of emergency.

Bernard's father Byron was a lover of fine arts and music, he taught his son all about it and taught him to love the finer things in life. Byron was also part of the resistance. He knew something was going on and he hoped his position on the inside would help gather information. Unfortunately it didn't and eventually he was caught out and sentenced to death when Bernard was just 15. His mother was next to face the death penalty a year later when the civil protection decided to randomly search their apartment, finding their stash of banned objects (music, paintings, statues).

He was now 16 and alone and he ended up staying in a boarding home near the mist for 2 years. On his 18th birthday he received notification that his father had left him a large sum of money, and now that he was of age he was allowed to use it as he pleased. This gave Bernard the inspiration to fight for what his father had. Free speech for all.

Being a bright lad the first thing he did was invest his money in the black market, he came across a very, rare piece of art work. The Mona Lisa as it was called. Although wanting to keep it, he decided the best thing to do would be to sell it for double, which he successfully did. He continued down this path until he had enough money to buy his own home. He created a room where he could voice his opinion and give people hope. He called it a radio room. Radio was long since forgotten but radio waves were everywhere and Bernard found a way to use them. People could listen to him from their car, through their TVs or even over their computer or for some (with computer implants), in their head.

Unfortunately he didn't cover his traces and he was almost caught. Civil protection came and raided his home, trashing it and destroying his radio equipment, he only just escaped through the back door before they could reach him.

However this only reinforced his goals and he decided he needed protection. He bought a laser pistol and bought himself two augments. Under a false name he purchased a home under the mist in the dingiest area possible, an area neglect from any kind of maintenance, somewhere the government didn't care. He installed security cameras and special locks and began construction on his second radio room. Within a few years he was back on air with a new passion to take the government of Corinith down.

So far things have been running relatively smoothly. He still collects arts and other rare items.

I already have half a Grendarl bio written up. Expect it by the end of the day.

Name:
Rasmorya

Age:

20

Race/Species:

Human (Japanese)

Appearance:

(I do not own this, nor do I actually know who made this. Found on Google.)

Rasmorya sports jet-black hair that reaches down about a few inches below her shoulders. It complements her fair complexion, big eyes, and sharp brows. She has a rather dainty face, with soft-looking lips that adds alluring to the list of words to describe her. For most, she could be considered attractive, and seems approachable.

She stands at a height of 169cm, and weighs about 58kg. Although she is slim, she is not skinny to the supermodel extent. She has the so-called ‘hourglass figure’ but lacks the huge assets to add a finishing touch to an otherwise highly attractive appearance. Her breasts may not be big, but they are most definitely normal enough, and perfect for her physique. Having descended from a line of Japanese, she appears to share the physical traits of her people.

Rasmorya is usually dressed rather flippantly in a simple black-coloured hoodie without any special patterns or markings, matched with a pair of shorts (Minus that FBT). To finish off her rather casual dress code, she wears slippers whenever she heads out.

Personality:

Soft-spoken, but approachable; Rasmorya is the demure lady seeking to be more ‘loud’ in her actions and behaviour in society – which further explains her choice of clothing. Although her clothing can sometimes make her look ‘slutty’, she behaves nothing like the archetype. Her choice of words is subtle and neutral, almost as if she has no opinion.

On that note, she tends to keep her opinions to herself. She dislikes authority, but she keeps it secret. She dislikes this person, but she never lets anyone know. She fears the repercussions, though she is brave enough to face it when it comes. She is highly realistic, and also highly pessimistic.

She fears to be alone above all, and is willing to brave all other fears to avoid being alone – even though she is also rather phobic about heights, insects and being enclosed in small spaces.

Weapons:

Rasmorya is not exactly an expert on firearms, but she can handle herself a pistol well enough to at least have some amount of accuracy. She may not be accurate when shooting while on the move, but while stationary, she has about a 75% chance of hitting a target.

Her pistol sports a rather dated design, which would look completely like an antique pistol from the 21st century if not for the ion batteries below the barrel of the gun. It fires rounds that pierce most material (except reflective surfaces). There is little recoil, and no overheating, but the ion batteries only allow for 30 shots before it must be changed.

Place of Living:

modern-minimalist-apartment-interior-design-021.jpg

(Apparently an actual design, if I’m not wrong)

Fully funded by her businessman father, Rasmorya still lives in the apartment that she had been living in for all her life. The ‘apartment’ is actually just one room, but filled with furniture that can morph into various forms to suit the needs of its user. Take for instance the table in the picture – it can transform into a larger version for dinner with guests.
It can also project holographic images at its middle, or even play music… If not for the laws that restrict it anyway.

While on that note, that table also transforms into her bed – on which she sleeps every night. The sofas at the side are all capable of morphing into other things like shelves, or even a computer which she may use. Items stored in the shelf are downsized using a technology that reduces objects down to a molecular level (without changing its properties).

There are no pictures or anything personal placed around. Her pistol is usually stored in her shelf-cum-sofa (Also, locked with a code. It is illegal after all).

The house is located on one of the older skyscrapers.

Occupation:

Manager (of Sky Blue Corps)

Technology:

Connector-

It fits in with her Mind Augmentation. The Connector allows her to contact people, connect to the Internet and also helps with some illegal stuff like hacking. It is seen as a butterfly tattoo on the back of her hand. It is glowing blue when in use, red when facing difficulties while using, yellow when not in use. (Note, the Connector is applied on both hands)

Transportation:

Grav Lift

Nothing out of the ordinary. It is just a surfboard-like design painted black, with the ability to fly. It’s top speed is the usual 30 miles per hour though Rasmorya almost never reaches that top speed considering her ability to manoeuvre. She has fallen so many times off the device that she lost count. That also includes the number of times she spoilt her own Grav Lift. (Which is why she never bothers to personalize the Grav Lift much)

Augments:
Rasmorya has two augments, both of which are implanted in her brain.

The first creates an interface which she can access with a mere thought.

This interface grants access to the Internet, the ability to make calls, record conversations, analyse items, and a host of other useful non-combat functions. It is also noteworthy to bear in mind that this augment is the key tool she uses when hacking.

For combat functions, the interface generates a mini-map based on Rasmorya’s memory. It also notes the adversary’s location and places it on the map. It is also capable of charting an escape route, or a shortest route to safety.

The fall back, however, is that Rasmorya suffers a severe nosebleed and pain when moving every 2 hours. The nosebleeds last about a minute, but the pains last about 5 minutes. The pains are activated by the slightest movement; even a simple breathing procedure causes the pain. This pain is almost the same as getting knocked down by a car. (It occurs at the area where movement happens)

The second augmentation is a largely combat based one. It enhances her reflexes to such an extent that she can dodge a metal bullet at least 80% of the time. Laser, not so, at 45% (usually by perceiving when the user is about to fire the gun). It also allows her to enhance her physical traits to superhuman levels. This means that she is capable of punching a hole through a brick wall with her bare hands.

However, this does not mean that her skin is made of metal. Her body is still ultimately human, and enhancing her physical statuses has their own consequences. For instance, running at speeds way above a normal human level can result in a severe muscle strain (either while she is still running, or after). Punching a hole through a brick wall will probably shatter the bones in her hands, though the hole is made.

That, and the natural downside of the augmentation is that she suffers from a fever every week. These fevers can be brought down with rest, and some ice on her forehead, but generally makes it extremely uncomfortable to move around – and also adds weakness to her normal activities. This sometimes combines with her above side-effect for some real bad situation.

Skills:

Hacking

Thanks to her augmentation, and training from young, Rasmorya is a hacker so talented that she can essentially hack into anything. Of course, the time she takes to hack varies depending on difficulty. With some time, she can hack into even the most secure network.

… With some time, that is.

Mechanical Familiarity

Also part of her training, Rasmorya is made to be an expert mechanic. She is capable of fixing virtually anything provided she is given sufficient information about the object.

History:

Rasmorya’s birth ended her mother’s life. Not that her mother died during labor, but that her mother was killed by her father. A rich businessman with a family of his own, he once visited the home of one of his workers who died in an accident. He liked how the lady looked and immediately asked her to be his mistress – which she agreed to readily, suspiciously.
As soon as Rasmorya was born, the businessman decided that to keep a mistress would be too dangerous. Ultimately, he did not want the news of his extramarital affair to affect his reputation, so he had the lady killed, and raised Rasmorya through a proxy.

This proxy is an AI installed in the apartment Rasmorya still lives in to this date. It is this AI that taught Rasmorya that entire she needed to know and all that her father wanted her to learn. This was how he started grooming her to become a successor to his business. However, useful as the education may be, it was ultimately not enough.

At the age of 18, the businessman made a decision that will change Rasmorya’s life forever. He decided to implement augmentations in the girl.

It was a painful procedure, and it gave Rasmorya nightmares for a few months after the surgery. She did not use her augmentations well initially, but she quickly grew to use it well, especially since it was essentially omnipresent in her world.

2 years has passed since then, and she still occasionally has nightmares whenever she is particularly worn out.

Name: Eleanor Rose

Age: Unknown, very old.

Race/Species: Grendarl

Appearance:
diva-blood-plus-diva-8748841-393-551.jpg

Of average height at five foot seven inches, Eleanor has a body frame that could only be described as petite. She is slender, appearing almost underweight, with a smooth, heart shaped face and a rather pale complexion.

Her eyes are a very bright blue and almond shaped, giving a youthful quality to her appearance. Long black hair is typically worn in a loose ponytail, but she will occasionally wear it loose, long and bedraggled.

Eleanor's sense of fashion would remind one of Victorian London. She wears a white dress with a high neckline and long blue tassels running down the back, along with a tight scarlet waistline and a ruffled fashion below the waistline.

During the evening, she will typically opt for Victorian fashion as well, in the form of a low neckline black dress that shows off her assets nicely, along with elbow length white gloves. She can often be found with roses or bows or something equally cutesy in her hair during these occasions.

Her arms underneath the gloves she always wears are covered with raw red flesh and corrupted scar tissue on her left arm, and her right arm is very thin due to her augmentations and body modifications.

Personality: Almost childlike in her mannerisms and behavior, Eleanor will often behave with anything but seriousness to those she is conversing with. She will giggle, skip, smile and cling to the arms of others almost like a child.

However, like any Grendarl, she harbors a strong hatred for humanity, and almost everything she does can be considered to be an act. For even as she laughs innocently, she will happily tear a human to shreds, and as she clings to the arm of another person, she will crush the bone to nothing without hesitation.

However, she is not entirely unpredictable or unexceptionably violent. Eleanor picks her battles, and while she is not directly acting on her hatred of humanity, she has a strong love for excess, such as opera, good food, drink and the like.

She has very little regard for others, and like a child, will often take fancies for things she sees, and demand they be delivered to her. This can be something as simple and obtainable as a piece of jewelry, to something ridiculous like a person to be kidnapped and brought to her.

When push comes to shove and she has to fight one on one, little changes about Eleanor. She enjoys the thrill of combat, the intoxicating knowledge that only one person will leave alive. She carries the same demeanor in combat as she does out. However, if she actually begins to take the fight seriously, she will become significantly colder and more ruthless until the fight swings towards her favor or away from it, in which case she will likely regress again.

Pride is doubtlessly her greatest flaw. She would never surrender, holding her ideals too dear, and even compromise would be mind blisteringly difficult for her. She would easily fight until her body could handle no more.

Weapons: Eleanor has a small pistol for use in ranged combat. She also has a rapier sheathed at her belt most of the time for use in close combat.

Place of Living: A rather grand apartment building of upper class. Paintings, pottery etc fill the rooms, and classical opera is usually sounding a low volume.

Occupation: Government Official/President of Corinth. (If this isn't OK, I can lower her rank)

Transportation: A Grav Board. Max speed of 35 MPH. The board is a hot pink with streaks of blue and white running through in lightning bolt shapes. She is rather good at piloting it, being able to perform spins, sharp turns and the like easily.

Augments: Augment 1
Location: Left arm
Effect: Can bend light to create blinding glares or burning beams of energy. Can also twist it around herself to make her hard to spot in dark areas.
Downside: Scars and raw red flesh exist from her left wrist all the way up to the elbow. She can only generate five beams within the space of a few minutes, and her “stealth” will only last five minutes.

Augment 2
Location: Legs
Effect: Allows her to jump very high, long distances, up to twenty feet and a meter per jump. Also allows her to run up to three times faster than an unaugmented human.
Downside: She can jump only twice at max range in the space of two minutes or run at max speed for thirty seconds before needing a break of five minutes to run at this speed again. Any longer and she will suffer permanent muscle damage.

Augment 3: Static Field
Location: Torso
Effect: Produces an electronic barrier to block a single assault, while also repulsing the attacker
Downside: Eleanor is rendered immobile when her barrier activates. It is also harmless, so she cannot follow up on any advantage the barrier would have otherwise given her. Additionally, this barrier has a half hour recharge time, and so cannot be repeatedly utilized. Eleanor must also activate her field manually through her own thoughts, and so a surprise attack would render her barrier useless.

(Optional)Body modifications: A mechanical arm, giving her rather impressive strength. Skin grafts have been fitted onto her arm so it appears normal, but mechanics and electronics lie beneath this false skin.

History: Eleanor’s Grendarl life has been long and arduous. She was one of the three Grendarl who came to study Earth, and along with her brethren showed herself to the world after a number of years. To their horror, however, the people of that world rejected them, and they were captured and detained.

The young, naïve Eleanor was hardened and broken simultaneously by the brutal experiments ruthlessly conducted upon her. Separated from her brethren and starved of the curious naiveté which had brought her here in the first place, she regressed to a child like form externally while becoming cold and hardened internally.

Her soul and body alike suffered unbearable anguish over the years she was imprisoned, feeling the burn of her body dying. It felt like a mother losing her child, but the broken Eleanor was incapable of crying by this stage. It hadn’t done anything when the experiments had started, so why would it do anything now?

When her body finally died, Eleanor felt herself leaving the body she had been forced to stay in through this torture, and her ethereal eyes fell upon the head scientist, who was analyzing her dead body like an animal to be dissected. With a wave of triumph mixed with revulsion, she forced her essence into his form, forcing out all that was him and granting him a brutal, final death. There was no gentle cohabitation as there had been with her first host, now dead before her.

But it wasn’t enough. It wasn’t merely this scientist that had condemned her and her brethren. All humans had judged them and sentenced them without knowing anything, so all had to pay. Leaning down, she stroked the hair of the woman who had been her home and sustenance for so long. It turned out to be her last act of compassion for humankind.

Of course, her host was one of the five hundred thousand “great minds” chosen to pilot the ARK. Eleanor and her body awakened for the 2nd, 12th, 22nd, 32nd, 42nd and 52nd cycle, each time making an effort to strand the ARK along with her brethren, who had possessed similar “great minds.” However, the time came when they found Corinth.

With that, the plan changed. Leaving the body of the scientist she despised to the dirt, she took a new body- one that had happened to be chosen as a leader of the new government just a day before.

Since then, Eleanor has maintained a firm hold on the world, raising an apprentice at all times to take over in the event of her death- then taking over their bodies when her body finally wore out. Through this method, Eleanor has maintained an iron grip on the world of Corinth for centuries now.

Name: Weisly Rase

Age: 19

Race/Species: Human

Appearance:
anime-girl.jpg

Weisly is a lavender blonde who stands at 5 foot 5 and weighs 150 lbs(muscle weight) She has a fit build and pale skin. Her eyes are a deviant purple(contacts) but are originally hazel in color. She wears her hair in pigtails held together by black lace and puts on soft makeup to complement her soft facial expression. In clothing Weisly can be very well put together, rarely ever is she seen without heels. Weisly also prefers to dress in skirts with parts in the side for easy maneuverability and in dressy blouses. She often wears a black kimono styled dress that reaches down to her ankles as it's loose fitting, stylish, and convenient for when she gets caught in a bad situation and needs to escape.

Personality: Though ripe with the look and feel of youth Weisly is a very mature, and serious young woman. She behaves on instinct and does not take careless risk lightly. Weisly is a woman of few words and does not try to come off as rude in conduct. She take appearance seriously and in her deep desires wishes to be free to think and act as she pleases. Many can be put off by her snobbish attitude towards ignorance. Her heart is mostly set on goals constantly and she wants to carry out her goals in an effective manner. Weisly's vulnerability goes unnoticed by most due to her military experience as a child. She does not let others see her weak side and hates to be thought of as weak or unable to take care of herself. Prideful as she is, Weisly is what many would call a true warrior in the face of danger. She is quick to think and act on her decisions, most decisions leaning towards positive outcomes.

Weapons:

Armour piercing rifle - A powerful rifle Weisly uses in most combat situations. This gun is a terror up close as it can pierce through most metals and is fatal when shot in close range. This rifle is meant to pierce through machines and can pierce through machines with ease, with the exception of militarized robots and militarized vehicles.

Plasma Sniper - A sniper rifle that shoots plasma energy which is loaded into it. This rifle is very silent and it pierces through windows, bulletproof vests, and walls even.

Needle Pistol - Of her own invention Weisly uses this weapon to shoot thin but dedly needles at her target from a large distance. This weapon can be very fatal to humans as the needles fly faster than bullets and if hit in the right place they can paralyze or kill a person. The ammo for this is custom made by Weisly herself who never goes anywhere without a case of ammo and this pistol.

Place of Living:
Harrison_Varma.jpg

Weisly lives in a mansion-like estate in the upper society on Corinith. Her family was very much well off and her father was well known for his piloting skills in the military. This mansion includes bright glass window and is lavished with modern furniture. The rooms on the top of the estate are the master bedroom(hers) and a master bathroom. The lower levels consist of a living room area, kitchen, 2 guest bedrooms, a game room, three restrooms, one library stocked high with old books from Earth(does not consist of any current published works from Corinith), an armory, a garage filled with one mecha and a laboratory. Access to all rooms must be first granted per mission by Weisly's voice command and the house is secure with heavy security systems and one offensive security turret placed on the roof.

Occupation: Weapons Specialist for the resistance. Weisly, though young in age, has obtained a vast amount of knowledge through her father's military connections and massive firearm collection. Weisly uses her knowledge for the resistance to train new resistance members for combat if need be and to make sure to stock up on any ammo or other combat resources the resistance may need. With trainees she often communicates through an anonymously given firearm and headset through which she talks and carries out instructions from a safe distance. Should her trainees recieve any trouble it is Weisly's job to interfere and return them to safety.

Technology: Weisly possess some inside military based technology which she chooses to modify all her own to make personal gadgets. Some of her gadgets including a watch that can pick the locks of almost any electronically locked doors, A 8 ounce bottle of acid that eats away at metal, wireless headsets that are heavily guarded against being tapped by the government or anyone else, and a pistol that instead of shooting bullets, shoots a thin sharp .5X5 inch needle at any target it's lazer guide lands on.

Transportation: Elroy - Elroy is a hover car given to her by her father in her will. It's a black car that has the flight to hover and can travel 80mph in clear conditions. It is a five passenger vehicle and is built to be sturdy enough to help it's passengers survive a crash.

Augments: N/A

Body modifications: Funded by herself Weisly has found a way to encase her sensitive organs in a thin shield. A year prior to quitting the military Weisly had undergone a surgery that had a hard encasing surround her vital organs. This procedure was given to all of the soldiers in her sector so that the chance of a good soldier withstanding a shot from amour piercing bullets would be able to live once more. Once she had quit the military however the military had attempted numerous times to get a hold o f her so that they may repossess what they had given her. However Weisly refused and had chosen to keep the encasing inside of her body. The implants are made of a metal found on the planet that resembles glass. It was shaped to her skull and then encased around her brain in liquid form, hardening itself around her brain once injected into her skull. The same was done to her neck, upper chest, and stomach. While it is a strong material, the metal cannot withstand more than three bullet piercings in one area before it shatters.

Skills: Weisly is skilled at running in heels, stopping cabs, dieting and exercise, arm wrestling men.

History: Weisly Rase is a girl who is the daughter of a powerful general in the army. She grew up in a wealthy family, the wealth based on her deceased mother's riches from her family's old oil company. Though her mother died giving childbirth to her, Weisly had always remembered her due to her father's constant talk of her and the many pictures that flooded their home.

Weisly and her father were very close from the time she was a small girl. When she was young she would observe her father when he had come home with his weaponry. Her father was also a good mechanic and taught her to fix many things throughout their house and many basic life skills such as cooking so that she could survive while he was away. In her school years Weisly studied hard and had been one of the brightest of her class. She hoped to go into the military after her father and had the knowledge of weapon control and the exact position in the military she wanted to go into at the age of fourteen.

It was during most of her early teens that Weisly and her father had learned to bond over taking things apart and putting them back together in their laboratory, most of these items advanced weaponry. It wasn't until she was only sixteen that Weisly received news of her father's passing. She was told it was an attack on the military unit and had become an orphan unexpectedly. This did not stop her from inheriting all of her rightful possessions at such a young age and she had entered the military herself at the young age in order for her bills to be paid off fully.

Weisly not only joined the military to honor her father's memory, but to fulfill her own dreams. It was in her training that she learned to think and act like a warrior. She learned much about firearms and had learned to operate many heavy machines and weaponry that ordinary women or men could not. Weisly gained many ranks in the army within a year and had become a top pilot and gunman. She had become one of the few soldiers to have an enhanced surgery to help ensure her survival on a battlefield just in case she would be hit by a bullet in a vital area.

At the age of Seventeen Weisly had become one of five captains assigned to a mission involving the investigation of a terrorist group against the government. What she found out instead was traces of her father and that he was linked to these "terrorists". Many months had passed before she realized that her father was murdered by the government for aiding a rebel group. With this knowledge Weisly had quit the military to live home and had vanished from anything having to do with the government.

A year later Weisly had gotten herself a new home, and had gotten hired by the rebel group against the government. Using her wealth, she aids the rebels in providing weapons, intel, and training equipment. Weisly had changed over the last year into a big member in the rebels cause but it is known to others and the outside world that she now is retired and had decided to life the rest of her life on her riches. Weisly currently attends many political functions and looks for opportunities in order to take down the government from the inside, a cause her father had stood for also.

Name: Rinae Aniel

Age: 25

Race/Species: Crystal Child - Crystal children were once a thriving race belonging to the planet before the humans settled. They were very nature oriented and hid well within mountains. The race was said to be wiped out in wars past but every once in a while a new crystal child is born to the planet natives. Crystal children resemble humans in basic body structure but can be seen with curving tails that swish like a cat or monkey. In modern times any Crystal children residing in Corinith have had their tails cut off from birth so that they blend into the human society. This particular race also has a unique ability to mirror another's appearance, thus giving them reflective qualities. It is said in old lore that this race was born from a powerful crystal who had given them the gift of life and other abilities. These abilities however only consisted of shape shifting, mind bending, and element channeling. No one crystal child had been born with all three abilities. Nowadays crystal children are unknown. some of the species likes to blend in with modern human society, but aside from that their race is unknown to those who settled upon the planet years ago.

Appearance:
bjigz6.jpg

Rinae is a female with tanned skin and dark purplish black hair. She stands at a massive 6 feet, somewhat taller than average female height. Her hair is often in pigtails and tied up with elastic bands. Her body type is slender and she seems to have flexibility. Rinae possesses a tail that when stretched down only reaches the back of her knee. She keeps it hidden when in the company of another. The woman also wears a skirt(tail can be seen sticking out from underneath), and a shirt, both home made outfits along with her padded leather boots(She wears the outfit in the pic. I'm just too tired to go into detail).

Personality: To those that know her Rinae has an explosive personality. She is often quiet around strangers and does not talk much to those whom she doesn't know. Rinae can be very impulsive and her assumptions guide her judgement(many biased assumptions too). What most identifies her personality is her quick temper over something small. Rinae chooses to only show her temper to whom she would consider people she trusts. Her temper also slips out when she is talking to a human or anyone associated with the human government. Rinae has a sweet side, but she rarely ever acts out her nice urges. She is mostly dedicated to her beliefs and has a "never give up" spirit about her. She can be a bit hard headed at times but Rinae has good intentions in her heart.

Weapons:

Twin Crystal Katana - A weapon that has been passed down in Rinae's family for generations, these katana shaped weapons are made from a blue shining crystal with ancient carvings and engravings upon them. Rinae has two of these identical swords which she is able to wield with both hands on one. The weapon is made up entirely of one of the hardest crystal materials found on the planet. It's a crystal weapon that cannot simply be cut or broken so easily. This weapon slices clean through most materials, especially human flesh and bone. The blades can dull quickly if used repeatedly but they can be sharpened again with any stone or razor.

Adamant Bow - This weapon behaves somewhat like a bow and arrow. Belonging to her ancestors' native village, this bow has been around for centuries. It is crafted from the crystal found upon the planet caves. A particular crystal type is called Ziphithrite which takes the form of a clear stone with a tint of yellow. That being said her bow is steady and yellow. It is a meter long and contains a thick string fastened to it to shoot arrows. This string is often replaced easily. The arrows used are from a crystal found in the cold mountains scattered around Rinae's current home. The crystal Apothisete is a crystal that is thinner than most and grows in clumps of sharp needles. When struck with force a chemical reaction within the stone causes it to burst into sharp separate shards that can cut clean through soft things such as flesh or penetrate hard but thin metal shields. When the crystal explodes on impact the shards do not explode again as they break into peices that are much too a small. It is this type of crystal Rinae had decided to use as separate arrows by separating the thin 1/2 inch wide(from the flat base) crystal columns from their patches of dozens that they grow together in.

Place of Living:
futuristic-eco-friendly-home.jpg

Rinae lives in an old abandoned home in the forest. The house originally belonged to a wealthy man from Earth who had migrated to the planet. Unfortunately the man fell into debt while building the house. Because of this his project of working on the home was abandoned and unfinished. The house consists of an open loft/living area, a dining area, three empty rooms, and an unfinished and unused restroom. None of these rooms are finished with modern furniture. In fact, since she possesses so little Rinae has only managed to move in a comfy bed into one of the rooms, along with a few possessions. The rest of the house is pretty much unoccupied and empty.

Occupation: Rinae does nothing for a living. She does not deal with currency and any currency she does have at the time is more than likely to be stolen. Since she does not have to pay for anything she owns she has no need for it. Rinae may not have an official job but she does have a duty to fulfil according to her personal belief. Her own agenda involves her vicious murdering of important human people's. Rinae's focus is to make the human race pay for nearly wiping out her race and to have them destroy themselves completely. The girl uses the murder of certain government people's as a tool to secretly corrupt the human race from within. However this goal is one that is very much carried out alone which makes it a lifetime commitment for her.

Technology: She hates technology that isn't of her own culture. Her technology includes weapons, transportation, made from natural elements of her planet. Most likely crystal made things found in the treasury of her ancestors villages.

Transportation: Rinae relies on her own two feet to go places. She possesses the physical stamina which enables her to run quickly or walk long distances without tiring. She may get rides to places by asking or manipulating her way into stealing a vehicle or mode of transportation. Her ability to use these devices are very poor. Rinae would much rather run, jump, climb, or simply walk to her destinations.

Augments:

Body modifications: Rinae has stolen the eyes of her twin sister. As a result she can see clearly for up to a mile in any direction. Before she was blind so big changes here. She gets an occasional headache from her eyes but not much else.

Skills: Rinae is skilled in gymnastic like movement. She is also good at running and climbing.

History: Rinae Aniel was born to her parents who were held as slaves to work as lab rats in a run down factory run by humans. Humans had taken over her race hundreds of years before and so it was common to have children in a laboratory and not a hospital like others. Rinae and her sister Ren were born each others twin and were sent to an orphanage far away from their actual parents. While it was normal for their race to have their tails cut these two had not been seen with tails until they were older so it was assumed that they were human once they reached the orphanage.

Rinae was born blind and so for twenty years she had not seen the world around her. She possessed heightened senses due to her blindness, but she could not see much herself. Ren was born with the acute sight of their native people's and helped to take care of her sister. When they were both sixteen it was discovered that both Ren and Rinae possessed tails of their race. Rinae expressed interest of knowing where and how these tails came from and more importantly what she was. Ren however felt that she would rather not know where they had come from. The two sisters had been home schooled in their orphanage until the time they were eighteen. After that the two had moved into a small apartment Ren bought with two tedious jobs.

Two years had passed before Ren fell ill and had turned to her sister Rinae to take care of her. Rinae tried her best with helping her sister, but with no income coming in and her disability there was not much time until her sister would die. Ren did not have a traditional funeral and instead Rinae had to bury her sister herself, but not without requesting an eye transplant with medical experts in exchange for her own body as a test subject. Doctors in the hospital agreed and would turn her over to the government's research facility after the surgery was complete.

Rinae took two years to adjust to her new eyesight, and to explore her own abilities with the help of the researchers at the laboratory she volunteered at. She had worked with the scientists on discovering her own natural abilities as well as physical abilities. Her abilities from her natural abilities had become well under her control, and her body had handled stamina and reflexes very well. Soon, being only twenty two years old she had came to learn not only of her true heritage , but that the government had been experimenting on her people for years. Rinae had only come to learn this through an misplaced report and her own wandering eyes.

Rinae hate come to hate humanity. She had left the city in which she lived in order to become homeless and to shut out most human interaction. She harbored a lot of hate for humanity and blamed human beings for the death of her ancestors, the possible death of her parents who remained unknown, and for hr lower class lifestyle experience, causing her sister's death. In time she had begun to hate those who had landed on what she would learn was her home planet. In three years she had managed to find the ruins of the old Crystal Children villages, as well as old weapons and trinkets. With time passing her by and no family or purpose to live for Rinae had given herself the duty to bring down the human race herself.

Using her powers of stealth, the weapons of her people, and her training with the researchers she worked for Rinae was determined to end all humans or send them back to their own planet.

Name: Dorthy707 model number 69

Age: 0

Race/Species: Robot

Appearance:
Anime-Girl-anime-girls-6908423-620-877.jpg

Dorthy707 69 stands at 5 foot 6 and weighs 267 lbs. Her synthetic skin is able to withstand tearing and is of a pale complexion. Her eyes are a crimson color and may seem to glow at times when she's in a certain light. Her hair is long and black, seemingly almost as long as her body as it stops at the back of her knee. Dorthy only wears standard clothing she can find anywhere. While she is mostly seen in a black shirt with white cuffs and a collar, Dorthy sometimes feels the need to dress in the latest fashions, her favorite being lolita.

Dorthy often walks with no shoes or undergarments to be heard of, but due to social standards she often will find underwear, a skirt, or some sandals to wear. Since she has never left the laboratory where she was created, her only fashion fix is fueled by the unused garments of the other robot Dorthys residing with her. She has put together a look of her own, not favoring pants, and having a fascination with crosses and other symbols with meanings.

Personality: Dorthy's personality is somewhat similar to a newborn child's. She has lived her life amongst other robots and has only ever spoken to another Dorthy(version 707 model 45). She is very obedient, but has not yet learned about independence. Dorthy707 has lived her days around Mister Marco Fitteli, the scientists who studies her actions and movements. Dorthy707 often gets fascinated by shiny objects or things that seem of interest. Like a child she mindlessly follows any order given to her, mostly due to her inability to function on her own. In the back of Model 69's head she often thinks about her creation and her purpose. She even has dreams and talks out loud to herself about her purpose of creation in wonder. Dorthy does not have much of a personality on her own, but if surrounded by lively beings who interact with her regularly she will learn how to interact and with time, develop her own sense of personality. As for now she would most likely copy the attitudes and personalities of those around her.

Weapons:

Blades - Dorthy707 model 69 was a Dorthy Robot meant to be sent out to the military. She wields blades within her arms, sprouting to become a meter long from each arm whenever battle is necessary(Think fullmetal alchemist but longer blades and on both arms).

Plasma Launcher - Dorthy707 contains a plasma cannon within her midsection. As a battle machine it is meant for her to have several plasma explosives locked securely inside her. If she feels a threat she will pull down the hatch on her stomach and shoot her targets, her eyes allowing her to aim where she'll hit.

Place of Living: Dorthy lives within the underground laboratory of the Dorthy Project. It's a study facility that runs a mile below the ground and contains a testing chamber which consists of various weights, obstacles and gun weapons. On one wing of the labs resides the pods where the Dorthys sleep. These pods have a white outer coating, are one meter wide and contain a glass door tented blue. Once inside the chamber the Dorthys are immediately put on standby mode. The amount of pods within one large wing can be estimated at a good fie hundred. Only half of these pods are occupied and the number in constantly decreasing. The Dorthys using these pods are a majority of version 808, 606, and five version 707 Dorthy robots. Dorthy707 model 69 usually spends all of her time in standby when she is not being tested in the training area of the labs.

The underground testing lab also contain a restricted area, full of books and offices where the information gained from the Dorthys is recorded and stored. Full records and many scientists can be found in this area studying away, but the Dorthys cannot dare pass this zone or else they will be ordered to become dismantled. The entrance and exit of the laboratory lies within the restricted zone but is an elevator which goes up to the lobby of the Dorthy Robotic Industry's company buildings.

Occupation: Test Subject Number 69 for the Dorthy Project version 707. Dorthy goes every morning to weight train with scientists of the Dorthy Robotics team in order to help test the limits of her own ability. The middle of the day is spent doing two hour sessions of repeated questioning and the evening is usually spent retiring around the laboratory rooms.

Technology:

Data sync - Dorthy707 model 69 has the ability to scan the internet and other forms of wireless communication for countless data which she can view and store for herself. The process of retrieving the data depends upon the data in question. Popular new feeds, definitions and history can be accessed with ease, while government files, conversations and secret emails take much longer to obtain. The locator allowing Dorthy to access the net is built into the "brain" of the Dorthy 707 model. The brain of the model itself operates on the harvest of solar energies and it can pick up on signals within a mile radius. The closer she is to an access point, the easier and faster the connection.

Transportation: Grav Lift - Dorthy707 can very well pilot any machine she gets her hand on with ease. Her wealth of information allows her the information needed in order to correctly pilot a machine. Her main mode of transportation is seen on Grav Lift as it is safer for the Dorthy machines. Using her large amount of weight Dorthy can use Grav Lifts to their full extent of speed and handling. She can operate her own lift at 35 mph and still turn sharply if she needs to.

Augments: None

Body modifications: Dorthy possesses mechanical limbs made of a hard thick metal and coated with a hard and stretchable synthetic skin covering. She possess many entryways and plugs upon her back for disks, cables, and other devices to be plugged in. Being connected to a device allows Dorthy to connect to the machine that is plugged up to her and allows her to share files with it and nothing more.

Skills: Thoughtfulness - Dorthy has the skill to create her own unique thoughts and view of the world which she then willingly shares with others. Her unique spin on things often can help a group think rationally and effectively.

History: Dorthy707 is just one robot from the Dorthy program. Many years ago an agency funded by unknown higher ups in the government had begun it's research on the Dorthy program, a program dedicated to creating the worlds first intelligent AI robots. The purpose for the building of these robots were unknown, however humans first became introduced to the Dorthy Robotics franchise as generation 101. These female look alikes however were not innovative enough to perform complicated functions for their masters. Generation 202 were a mass produced female cyborg for medical hospitals, also being identical females in appearance. These cyborgs were able to assist and easily help diagnose patients who were ill of disease. Though the second generation is known for medical robotic functions, versions 303, 404, and 505, followed suit, becoming servers in restaurants, cleaners, even construction workers. With each new version the Dorthy robots, the AI of the systems, and the detail of appearances were also advanced.

Dorthy robotic generation 606 however, became regarded as one of the most highly innovative robot in the series to date. While 606 were not only marketed in the fields of the old generations, they also took to military action and possessed unique personalities based on their experiences. The 606 generation also stepped it up a notch when they all gained different appearances, something new to the Dorthy franchise. While Dorthy generation 707 promised to become even better this generation had become cancelled due to the error of programming within their systems. Once Dorthy version 808 had become released to replace version 606, the robots were not highly valued much at all due to the human's dislike of robots that looked almost human, and the AI not gaining much more than the 606 version. It was after this that the Dorthy franchise had begun it's downfall marking the end of the company and the laboratory's producing of new robots. However there still remain few scientists who test the Dorthy robots to see if they would be able to find even better improvements to their creations.

Dorthy707 is one of the last of her Dorthy generation robots. While she is in the state of testing, it seems as if the scientists can find no error in this particular robot. Dorthy707 has not been released to the public but only because of a slight secret which involves her human like abilities and her secret purpose of creation.

I only have one question about the V.P.S weapon. It shoots, but what are that nature of the shots? Do they use physical bullets, or do they use lasers? Are these lasers penetrating, or do they focus more on incapacitation of a target?

As for the body modifications, they’re good to go. The augment is also good to go. But one thing I didn’t mention in the post above was that augments require at least one organic limb. So, while this isn’t directed at you (because your character has an organic arm), everyone else should bear in mind that if you plan to make a character with an augment, you can only have four; one per limb. Alyss has all four limbs, so she has four; one in each arm and one in each leg.

However, everyone can do something along the lines of what Monarch did. You can have them put in your head if the effect of the augment in question is connected with something to do with the mind. However, don’t give yourself an augment in the head but have the effect of it to be firing fireballs. Augments that require the use of arms or hands, go in the arms or hands.

Tipsy’s character has one organic arm, so it’s one in her arm. Augments will not be placed in mechanical limbs. Also, if you plan to give your character all four augments, please don’t have that same character running around with an arsenal that would put Batman to shame.

Tipsy, so far, your character is good. I okay’d the vehicle idea you had, and in all reality, it was something that I really should have thought putting up in the first post. :wacky:

To answer your other question, the mist is from the ground to about 600 feet into the air. The bottoms of the buildings where the mist is are like normal buildings. Only they are abandoned, and once a month a large crew comes through to ensure that they are maintained enough so that a building never falls. When you finish it up, you’ll be accepted.

Monarch
Are you sure it’s a good idea to have your character afraid of heights? It’s definitely an interesting twist, but just bear in mind that most of civilization lives 600 feet above the ground. Also, I love the concept of your apartment. As for augments, they’re both good to go. The largely combat based one is acceptable due to the fact that it mainly enhances reflexes. You gave both of them a good drawback, and I really enjoyed reading that. Your augments would make your character quite the human “radar” for people.

Also, I enjoyed the history section. All in all, your character is accepted.

Frau Farbissina
Very good stuff, I liked the fact that you gave the Grendarl a human body that she obviously is attached to. I take it if she ever had to jump body, she would be rather disappointed by that? For weapons, I’ll just assume the rapier is a typical length one. However, what is the nature of the pistol? Does it fire physical bullets? Lasers? If so, what are the nature of the lasers?

As for occupation, seeing as how you’re the first to come up with a Grendarl, you get the spot. That’s typically the way I wanted the Grendarl to be; in charge of everything. Even if I only have one person as a Grendarl, everything will still work. Luckily, it’s you, and I know you can play a damned good villain. Just don’t go disappearing on me. :gasp:

The augments are good to go. The one on the torso is acceptable because it doesn’t require the arms or legs to use. The drawbacks are well done as well. The body modification is also acceptable.

I’m really interested to see just how unwilling she may be to have to give up the body. Should be rather fun.

Also, there will be one point in the RP that you’re going to love with you having a character like that… but I’m not giving away that spoiler as of yet. :wacky:

Just give me the nature of the pistol, and she’ll be accepted. :griin:

Oh it's your typical modern day pistol. Bullets and nothing more. After all, she already has a laser of her own. :wacky:

And she loves that body. :sad3: She'll be so livid when she inevitably has to give it up, which I see happening. But it'll do nicely for a plot point. XD

Oh I was thinking if someone wants to be her unwitting "apprentice", we could have a protagonist/anti villain.

I'd like to reserve a Grendarl spot. I'd communicate this to you but that is proving...difficult. :wacky:

I'd like to be Commander of Civil Protection, if it's all the same to you. I'll let the bio do the talking once I've had sufficient time to work on it.

Frau Farbissina
Then it's all good. And I do like the apprentice idea. If you can find someone willing to write up the character, I'll approve it. Your character is also approved. :griin:

Ness
Sorry about that, I'll add you as a friend so you can start sending me messages and stuff. Consider your reservation reserved. I can't wait to read it.

My character is going to be a rebellious news reporter (over radio so he's anonymous to most). He reports news against the gov hoping to alter people's views on them.

I was wondering though, would it be ok if he perhaps knew the courier/hacker characters as they could help him gain his info for his shows?

He'll also be a secret collector of art so the couriers could be useful there too.

Sounds good to me. Just be warned, Civil Protection is probably going to be after him like white on rice. :gasp:

Chell

Yep, I won't mind the heights issue. Ultimately, I had her more extreme phobia of being alone to counteract her other troublesome phobias. The lack of these phobias may not fit in well with her history after all.

Thanks. It's nice knowing someone likes the bio. Can't wait for it to start -- as usual :D

Ok, im completely done. You do not know how MUCH of a bitch it was for me to find the battle song. Even then, i kinda feel like there might be a more suitable one out there for her.

Name: Abel (no surname known)
Age: Unknown
Species: Grendarl
Occupation: Commander of Civil Protection

Appearance:

wilhelm.jpg

Abel is fairly tall, at a height of about 6'2". His build is average for a man of his size...he is not particularly bulky, but he has some muscle on him. He has a healthy Caucasian complexion and his skin is generally free of blemishes or other distinguishing marks.

He has short cropped silver hair, except for longer bangs that he keeps out of his face. His eyes are normally shaped, but bright red (more information in Body Modifications). Otherwise, his facial features are unremarkable.

Abel generally wears the clothes of upper class citizens of Corinth, rather than the military-style uniform of Civil Protection. He is not ostentatious in his appearance...but he does recognize that humans, particularly upper-class ones, crave their appearances...so he does his best to look the part.

Personality:

Abel, being the oldest of the Grendarl sent to observe humans centuries ago, tends to behave in a grandfatherly sort of way. He is more apt to listen than to speak, and when he does speak, he chooses his words carefully. However, at time he appears to be overly distant and sometimes even emotionless, which some people find to be a bit off-putting.

Hatred towards the foolish humans is a natural part of a Grendarl's psyche, and Abel is certainly no exception. He chose the office of Commander of Civil Protection so that he could have more opportunities to hunt down rebellious humans and stamp them out. He revels in the chance to outsmart the foolish rebellions that inevitably rise up as the Grendarl quietly push the human race towards implosion. Abel delights in meeting a good challenge...and the euphoric feeling of crushing said challenge underfoot.

Weapons:

Abel keeps two short daggers (blades about 4 inches long) hidden in the folds of his coat for emergencies. The daggers are equipped with blades that vibrate at an incredible high frequency which greatly enhances their slicing/stabbing power. (think Star Wars vibroblade)

Place of Living:

Abel has a penthouse apartment at the top of one of the most affluent buildings in City 17, but he spends most of his time at the offices of Civil Protection. His apartment is sparsely furnished with the basics in a tasteful style. Again, Abel knows how much the humans care about their appearances.

Transportation:

Abel considers the use of Grav Lifts to be beneath him, so he uses Civil Protection vehicles to travel on business, and chartered limousines otherwise.

Augments:

Hands-
Abel can fire small bursts of electricity from his hands. The electric bolts have a fairly wide spread (about 1 meter diameter from each hand) but can only be used every 3 seconds. The electricity is not enough to kill a man, but can stun him so that he can be detained for questioning. Abel has the usual pale fingertips of those who share this augment, so he tends to use this ability sparingly.

Brain- Abel also has the ability to use a limited form of telekinesis. He can lift object up to 40 lbs in weight. If the object is small enough, he can fling it up to a velocity of 10 m/s. The larger the object being lifted, the slower it can be accelerated. This ability has an incredible toll on the brain tissues...and extended use can cause actual tissues deterioration. Again, Abel uses this sparingly.

Body Modifications:

Ear-
Abel's left ear has a tiny transceiver implanted inside so that he can be informed immediately of any updates from Civil Protection. The implant does not improve his hearing, and impairs hearing in that ear when he is receiving a transmission.

Eyes- Both of Abel's eyes are cybernetic. His ocular implants allow him to see in a wide range of visual spectra (x-ray, infrared, etc) and allow his to scan and detect a wide range of things that humans cannot otherwise observe. His eyes are connected to the computer in his brain (see below) so that anyone he sees can be cross-checked against the Civil Protection database and information can be sent directly to his mind.

Brain- Half of Abel's brain has been replaced by a small, highly advanced computer core. The computer replaces most of Abel's emotion centers, which is why many perceive him to be mostly emotionless (he is generally incapable of showing emotion). This computer not only allows his eyes to scan and cross-check information, it also allows for an extraordinary memory capacity and unparalleled computational power. With this implant, Abel is far and away the planet's most intelligent denizen.

History:

Abel was the oldest of the three Grendarl sent to observe the world of Earth. The more that Abel learned about the human race, the more he came to disdain them. He knew full well that when they were revealed to the humans, their presence would not be welcomed. His prediction soon proved accurate, and Abel found himself being tortured by his new human "captors".

Abel's captivity was certainly unpleasant, but he spent most of his time ignoring the humans who held him prisoner. He began to hatch a plan for the extermination of the human race. Such...barbarians could never be allowed to wreak havoc on the universe. As his torture continued, though, his motives because less altruistic and more revenge-oriented. He simply wanted humanity gone because of the suffering they brought.

Finally, Abel was able to leave his dying body and attach himself to the project's leader. In his frustration, he took the man home and quietly killed his family...and then flung himself from the roof of the man's apartment building. Abel has acted rashly, and finding a new host that could make important decisions proved to be difficult. In this, Abel learned a lesson...emotions were not to be trusted. Humans were mere pawns...pieces on a much larger game board.

Abel helped design the ARK project and reunited with his fellow Grendarl. Perhaps they could end this foolish charade of a colony before it even started...but each time one of them attempted to steer the ship off course, they were interrupted by one of the damnable humans. Abel was struck with the irony of how the feeble, clumsy personalities of the humans somehow kept them alive during the voyage.

Upon reaching Corinth, the three quickly found their way into positions of influence. Abel, however, was becoming more and more frustrated with the host bodies he inhabited. Eventually, he enlisted geneticists to construct an "ideal" host, complete with various augments and modifications to make him not only a near-perfect thinker, but also devoid of the useless emotions that burdened all of his previous hosts.

Currently, Abel occupies the 39th copy of the original Ideal. Deep in the bowels of Civil Protection, several "units" are always kept in stasis, waiting for Abel's need to occupy them. When the current "unit" become too old or the modifications start to wear down, Abel simply occupies another copy...giving the impression that Abel never ages or dies. The data from the computer core in his brain is transferred to the next copy, however, so that his experiences, memories, and data banks are always growing.

You're good to go. Welcome to the RP.

@Ness
You're also good to go. I like how both Alyss and Abel have the same augment, but a different limitation on it. And, I see that just like Elenore, he has a body that he is somewhat attached to. Good stuff.

Also, I know I didn't make this clear, but everyone is welcome to make more characters. Just don't make more than three.

That is a good question. Where do members of the resistance/people who defy the government's laws end up and what happens to them? I'm coming up with a character now who is one of the top scientists and researchers of a foundation that is afflilated to the Corinithian government and if it's okay with you Ringomeister, the CP occasionally gives him corpses to examine, study and test on. This foundation will be a big-name proprietor and pioneer of many forms of modern Corinithian technology. :gasp:
