Well, seeing as a large amount of you play different sports, have you ever had an injury? I was riding my scooter really fast once down a realllly rocky hill. I hit this big rock, went flying off my scooter, grazed the side of my face, and I still have scars today from some other stuff. Anyone wanna share???:)

Pulled hamstring playing Baseball and Softball. xD I tend to stop right on first base rather than continue a bit past it.

I pulled my hamstring twice, once against some team I don't know, and the other time I pulled it against Billingham and couldn't jog more than 4/5 paces without having to stop. Fucking Dave was still certain I should warm up in case I needed to go back on. :wacky:

Other time I damaged my Cruciate Ligament and was unable to walk for 2/3 months, then had to go to the physiotherapists for 2/3 months afterwards. D:

Oh aye, I've had countless muscle pulls from Football, Badminton, Tennis and Boxing. Another time, I dislocated my wrist in Rugby...which put me out of sports for a while. None too serious as to go to hospital though.

I broke my collarbone a couple of years ago, and that was my worst sports injury. I broke my foot a couple of months ago, and I've broken most of my fingers.
But nothing too serious.

Twisted my ankle a couple of time while playing Football (Soccer).
And i broke my foot 2 times...The last one was a very painful. Not too serious, But i couldn't walk for a 3 days..

I had me a minor concussion during a baseball game a few years back. The batter hit a pop fly into shallow left field. I was playing shortstop and began running full steam for the ball...and so was the left fielder. We collided and somehow my head met his cleates. One of us would have called the other guy off, but it wasn't a routine play for anyone.

Took a ground ball to the groin a few times as well. Hurts like hell, but it isn't a long term injury or anything.

i recently (as in Tuesday just gone) got kicked in the knee. as i got kicked my knee cracked and i thought 'oh god that don't sound to good' so i stood up (as we were playing crab footy) and as i got to my feet it cracked again, and again and again. now two days later my knee is still swollen and bruised and my Girl friend keeps winging at me to get it checked out.

Um, ripped my thumb nail open (it wasn't even long too) while playing flag-football in high school. (PE class). I tried to grab someone's flag and I guess he was moving too fast and somehow the flag he was wearing around his waist caught against my fingernail and ripped almost half of it open, and I thought I was going to pass out from the pain. >.>

Torn a calf muscle in a competition during a 400m relay, and I was 3rd leg. That sucked because I had to pull over (the pain was unbearable) and yet it meant we couldn't finish the race (we were winning at the time).

Since then I've pulled and torn muscles, mainly in the calves and hamstring.

I've also twisted and badly sprained my ankle a few times. Once because I was stupidly running back the way I ran down the track during training, and tripped over my own running blocks that I had placed there 10 minutes ago.. That knocked me out from training for months!
Then, another stupid accident, while I was playing football indoors at te end of the first year of sixth form (first time I'd played football in YEARS, I really don't play it)... I was doing ok considering I'm terrified of the ball and people kicking it really hard about the place, but I was doing ok, moving with the ball, tackling etc... Sure I was falling over and probably looked like a clown, and I didn't score a goal, but I was ok for me at least... Untill I got my foot caught on the wall while trying to get round someone and twisted my ankle on it. The swelling on that was unbelievable!

But these sort of injuries I had I could get back from. Sure they knocked me back, but they didn't stop me physically and fitness wise. I have however been hit with a lot of nasty viruses, which has, sad to say ended my ability. I quit athletics last year as I was dragging my group down. It was just too much to try and carry on with. If athletics was the path I'd wish to take for the rest of my life, yeah I could get back on my feet, retrain, beat the illnesses. But realy my heart is in my studying and my love of Ancient History, I couldn't juggle everything and it would have taken a long time to get my fitness back.

Erm... Not that any of you actually wanted to know that.... I just ranted then because I'm tired.

Let's see here.

I broke my neck doing High Jump during my sophomore year in High School. Since a broken neck doesn't limit you from running, I ended up running the 200 dash about half an hour later and I broke my hip while running that. At the time that was my second time breaking my hip.

The year prier, I broke my ankle playing football and broke my hip running the 1800 relay.

I've had a few rugby injuries. Dislocated my knee which also tore my ACL. Fractured my L4 and L5 verterbrae. Seperated my right shoulder, tore the rotator cuff in my left. Broken and/or dislocated most of my fingers. Broken right hand. Had a couple of concussions and a few stitches here and there. Most recently I tore my pectoral muscle attempting to tackle a train dressed up as a loosehead prop. Basically I can't look at a field without breaking something.

Erm.. Playing a GAA football match (irish football ugh) i tried to get the ball off another girl and ran in to her awkwardly to try and take her down and broke my wrisr but played through the whole rest of the match with one arm lol.

Then i play with irish football team (soccer) and the i got a disease in my knee called (wait for it) chrondomalaciapatella basicaly the cartilidge in my knee started to erode away and was out for 2 years :( hurts like hell!

i broke 2 my fingers and 2 knuckles and 1 other hand bones and my wrist during a sparrring session ....... always remeber and punch right folks

Equestrianism is a sport. :gmonster:

I was galloping over a jump, once, on a horse that was in-heat. Mid-jump, he decided to turn his body and aim for a female horse, also in the arena. Here's me, standing out of the stirrups, ten feet in the air and the horse decides to go another direction. I continued in the same direction, landed on my neck and then the horse landed on his back, crushing me at the same time. That wasn't a pleasant experience and I was in pain for weeks, though nothing was broken.

The next time I rode, I went for the same horse, as if to "get back in the water" and the same thing happened only, this time, I was ejected from my seat into a fence. Again, nothing broken but my pride - my neck and back were bruised, though.

Next most serious one would be riding again and I just simply slid off a horse when I was riding bareback (take a moment to lawl at the gay joke), landed directly on my right arm and couldn't move it for a fortnight or so - I'd done something to the muscle and 'weakened' the bone but hadn't actually broken it.

I'm quite lucky.

I once got hit in the wrist by a fastball while I was batting for my softball team, when I was around 9 or 10 years old. It hurt like fuck, so I had to be taken out of the game, and could not move my hand at all for a few days without causing excruciating pain. I kept my hand & wrist wrapped up for a couple weeks. I might have fractured something, but my parents are medically irresponsible, so I never got taken to the doctor.

I broke my nose when I was twelve while I was playing football (soccer). My stupid classmate tried to do a side volley while I was trying to head the ball. He missed the ball and accidentally hit my nose which bleed for a few minutes. He shouldn't have tried that besides it was just a practice game.

I managed to somehow get a deep gash in my knee from dancing the other day... And I didn't even notice it until a day later.

Also, running and cycling make my knee start clicking after a while because I got cracked in it once while playing Rounders at school... Least, it's that or from the numerous times I smacked in when doing Gymnastics.

I have torn my ACL and MCL in my left knee. Have had several tendons in both wrist torn. Dislocated my left shoulder. Three concussions broke my middle finger on my left hand twice broke my nose three times. Broken five fingers total broke two toes and tore my left lat. All football related.

Basketball practice my sophomore year we had the junior on our varsity team who was the 6'6" starting center on the team bash his knee into mine and it hyper-extended both of ours for about half a week. I mean it wasn't that serious of an injury, but it stung like a mo'fo since he's a all lanky guy.

Just sat out one game and of course it was a game against our easiest opponent in the area so we killed them.
