Is there anything out there that you think is absolutely hideous, but you can't help but think is cute?

Mine:

Bull Dogs, I think they are ugly but I can't help but squee and want to hug every one that I see! I don't know what it is about that face of theirs!

Pigs, if it wasn't for their snout, they'd be more traditionally cute. But some how I still find them to be extremly cute even if I find them ugly at the same time.
 
Some types of monkeys like the red colobus have a ugly face but at the same time they are really cute. Babies orangutan can be very ungly sometimes but they are so small that I completely forget about it.

Monkeys are so close to human genetically and at the behaviour level (in a way) that I have a lot of empathy for them. Seeing a monkey at the zoo in a cage (no matter how big is the cage) breaks my heart.
 
I've always had this thing about Chihuahua's.

I think they can be ugly but at the same time it's that exact thing that makes me think they're cute. It's a weird thing to explain. >.<

I've always wanted to own one. They just look so adorable after looking at them for a while, with their big fat heads, big pushed in eyes and tiny little nose. XD
 
...dwarves. This is the first thing that popped into my head. Any and every incarnation of dwarves. Ugly little midgets with beards, a love of ale and belching, singing off-key, butchering things with axes, etc...but they're so small, and I have a weakness for small things. xD

I'm not sure whether I do or not...I think a lot of unconventional things are cute, but I don't think I see them as being "so ugly they're cute" :hmmm: For example I absolutely LOVE bats, lizards, and frogs, but a lot of people seem to think they're gross or hideous. I do always feel something for animals that are downright "ugly" though by common standards, because they can't help what they look like but yet still act perfectly content about it, or like they don't care :D I think it's cool that they can just do what they do without worrying about it all the time like people do--I mean you never hear an elephant going "Hey, does this extra skin make my butt look big?" :wacky:
 
Do jellyfish count? :hmmm: They are oddly disliked around the area I live in, but I can't help but think they're adorable. Especially the baby ones, which I saw a whole bunch of those once in a trip to the aquarium 6 years ago. Hell, I wouldn't mind having one as a pet, but every time I tell someone that, the first thing they predict is the death of me . :wacky:

I absolutely hate snakes...and pretty much any lizard of any kind. For whatever reason, I've always been fond of chameleons. They are so adaptable with the whole color-change thing...and they are what I consider the one exception to lizards because they are actually cute with their little beady eyes and such. Chameleons are in the ugly lizard class...but are so damn cute.:gasp:

I dont understand how something you find completely repulsive can also be cute?

Isnt that like finding the sweet popcorn extemely salty?
 
I mostly find Bulldogs and Pugs So ugly their cute, I can't really think of anything else though, I guess most ugly animals are kinda cute too :D

Hmm, I hope animals aren't the only things that are ugly but cute XD. To be honest, i agree with the poster that said monkeys. To me, they're strange looking but I can't help but find them cute xD. Same with turtles. Their appearance in my eyes isn't that cute but, they're still cute xD.


The other thing I was going to add was guys. Sometimes, guys that aren't typically my type I usually don't go for but, at the same time I can't help but think that particular guy is somewhatish cute in a strange weird way XD. Hard to explain xD. I hope i'm not the only crazy person who thinks this xD.

The aye-aye was the first thing to spring to my mind. It's often considered a very ugly creature, but I find that its non conventional appearance is its finest feature. I absolutely adore this animal.

There are many ugly (I'd prefer to say non-conventionally beautiful), but fascinating animals out there though. Some of my favourite animals are the ones which look the strangest.
 
Hairless kitty cats are so cute. I love them but I feel so bad for them sometimes. Baby owls are cute but ugly. Generally owls are ugly looking but I can't help but think they look so wise and so cute. Pandogs (they are real) are cute and ugly at the same time. A lot of animals I noticed are. lol

Are there animals out there that you find absolutely adorable, but some people would find you strange for doing so?

In my case, I find moths (CUTE AND FLUFFY LITTLE BUGS :cali:), rams, goats, sheep, frogs, lizards, and most hoofed animals absolutely adorable.

I actually have a hard time telling myself that any animal is "ugly." They're all their own individual and all cute in their own way. :3 It's been said before but the very first thing that popped in my head when I saw the name of the topic was bulldogs. Just looking at them makes me want to hug them.
 
I don't think I've ever looked at an animal long enough to determine whether it's ugly or cute. I always just look away in fear. I guess I'll go with the monkey.

Monkeys are pretty cool. They look pretty ugly, but then I look at the face more and more and I realize it's pretty cute honestly.
 
Pugs.

They have such ugly looking faces and they snort and sneeze all the time, but you cant help but think that they are SO adorable at the same time. :ari: Pugs are one of the sweetest dogs out there and they are so nice (in my experiences).
