Sleeping habits

Over twelve hours? That's half a day. :gasp: That is a while...hopefully it's just that once you fall asleep that you're a bit of a heavy sleeper. xP

Yes, it's very annoying because it feels like my day is completely wasted. I've started to tell people to wake me up at a certain time and to not let me go back to sleep. It helps, but I still find myself going back to bed.

It's also annoying because I can be tired for an entire day, but as soon as it hits 10pm, I am suddenly wide awake.

Well I don't have much of sleep habits. Sometimes I will talk in my sleep but not often. xD But I am a roller I can't stay in one spot for long. And I have to have my door closed, I don't like it open when I sleep. xD Not sure why lol.

Possibly because it makes you feel vulnerable? In my case that's why I do it. Anyone can just randomly walk in and do whatever while you're sleep but if the door is closed, provided you're not a heavy sleeper, you can hear if someone comes in for whatever reason and wake up.

I also need cold air for me to sleep well. If not then I won't be able to fully sleep like I would want to.

I'm a pretty normal sleeper I suppose. Just the usual murmurs occasionally and light snoring if you will. My main habit though would just be the bad cycles I get into. I seem to have only a couple hours of sleep but I manage to stay up until a ridiculous hour like 4am. Gradually I just screw up my sleeping pattern and pretty much become nocturnal. That usually happens on the holidays when I've got bugger all to do but it's started to happen during my revision periods as well.

Probably just the privacy of it, and also it helps block out noise the others who are still up make. That's why I close my door anyways. :P

And I generally haven't been getting up until high noon as of late. xD But tbh, I don't much miss the mornings, I can't get on the computer until afternoon, which is my main activity for the days. :ryan:

True, true but I never really feel vulnerable except maybe when I'm home alone and sleeping. XD Yeah for one thing I'm not a heavy sleeper haha so who knows.

Oh yeah cold air is nice. I like it for the summer time. :P

Well mostly everyone heads to bed before I do but it could be privacy as well. xD

Haha sounds like me, except I tend to wake up somewhat early and go online for pretty much the whole day. XD

I always fall asleep on my right side. When I wake up I mostly lay on my other side or in a really strange position xD In the morning I can fall asleep on my stomach, not at night. From what I heard from others is that I don't snore, don't talk but I breathe heavy sometimes. I have sleepwalked when I was younger but I apparantly don't do that anymore.

When I sleep at night, I usually have to watch t.v. in my room for about 20 or so minutes to be able to unwind enough to be able to fall asleep. Sometimes if I have off I'll put the sleep timer on my tv so it'll shut off and I don't have to worry about turning my tv off later.

I usually sleep with a fan or I have one of those small devices that makes sounds like white noise, crickets, or rain. I use the fan during the summer and the machine during the winter because I can't sleep at night without some noise going on in the background.

I've been known to talk a lot in my sleep. I also kick a lot too...so I'm not the ideal person to share a bed with I guess :wacky:

...and as far as positions go...I'm a stomach sleeper. I really can't sleep at night if I can't sleep on my stomach. Sometimes I wake up though and I'm curled up on either side. It depends really.

It varies for me.

I will always go to sleep on my side, and generally on the left 'cause I have a very large cluster of veins on the right side which are painful when pressure is applied.

I like to cuddle up under the duvet 'cause it feels safe, but if it gets too hot, I have to push it far back... I also tend to move it about as I can't relax when I'm tangled in it.

I usually have to put my hand under my head under the pillow...I can't stand pillows that are too soft, too low or too high. :hmph:

I like to sprawl some nights, but on others I curl up into a ball!

I generally wake up once or twice, usually around 3 or 4am, to go to the toilet... This habit developed when I started University and became worse when I started spending nights with my boyfriend, who gets up 2 to 4 times a night. >_<

I don't snore or talk in my sleep, but my mum once reported that I had been banging my elbow against the wall. :wacky:

- It has to be dark, I absolutely hate my room being light whilst I'm trying to sleep, it feels unnatural.
- I have to sleep on my stomach whether it's slightly to the right or left or full on the stomach. I cannot sleep on my back unless I'm hungover.
- I normally listen to my iPod for 20/25 minutes before I go to bed, however, once I'm trying to get to sleep I hate loud noises. Background noise is fine but anything loud and constant is irritating.
- I have twice woken myself up snoring but both my ex and girlfriend have said I don't normally snore. Odd.
- I have to sleep in my boxers at most. It's rarely nude unless I'm REALLY hot but anything more than boxers really fucks me off when I'm trying to sleep.

Period.

I sleep with my right hand down my pants...eventually i wake up from that position so then i turn onto my stomache...if that doesnt work i just go ahead and sleep on the floor...it helps my back...:3

I sleep between 10:30pm and 6:30am, occasionally going over or under those times depending on what I'm doing, but not very much...I'm practically learning to sleep fixed hours at the moment.

When it comes to waking up during the night, I tend to have long periods of time (about two weeks usually) when I wake up at exactly the same time, which is really odd. I start sleeping on my stomach, with my head facing either direction (I alternate until I get comfortable; I'm VERY fidgety) but almost every time I wake up I'm on my back...which is really annoying. Regardless of how hot it is outside, I HAVE to sleep under covers, with my nightclothes on. I can't sleep otherwise. The room needs to be absolutely dark, and I need either silence or a quiet, repetetive noise. Having a younger autistic brother, I've learned to block repetetive noises out, and it actually helps me sleep sometimes...silence is unnatural, and in absolute silence I can have difficulty sleeping, especially if I've woken up in the middle of the night.

I'm not sure if I snore; I've never heard myself snore, although I've been told I occasionally talk in my sleep, which is most disconcerting...

At the moment I tend to wrap myself up in my blanket like a caterpillar, and hug a pillow.
However, when I wake I am never in this position and I can only guess that I must have lots of dreams about wrestling crocodiles (or something like that). :argor:

It's very comfortable, and I've found the need to do this more lately due to the weather getting colder.

I don't know if I snore or not, or any other crazy sleeping habits. I can imagine that I roll about, but that isn't ever an issue since I am only ever my own company.

Oh gosh, me too... :| I can't stay asleep in the morning or go back to sleep when it gets too light, so late nights (after 12) are a no-no if I want to feel 100% the next day. :doze:

It seems that since posting in this thread, I have started to fidget in my sleep more consistently. I keep waking up with the covers in a tangle, bunched up towards the centre of the entire bed. Perhaps I pull them around me and throw them off later?

I used to sleep walk a little bit back in the day but now, when I can get to sleep I am usually a pretty boring sleeper. I just lay there on my side and don't move much. I have been told by friends that I am the optimal sleepover partner because I do not hog the blankets or the bed or invade space.

I sleep on my back with my head turned so I am staring right, I sometimes sleep with the palm of my right hand underneath my face. regardless of how hot it is, I cannot sleep unless my entire body is under the covers. I listen to one of three CDs when I go to sleep, and have done so for the last year

I sleep half on my back and half on my side and I always have my head turned to the left of the right with one hand under the pillow. I flip my pillow over all the time so that my head/face is always on the cold side. My pillow is incredibly comfortable, my head sinks into it so it is only an inch above the other pillow, I always have at least two. I usually take up most of the bed because I like to stretch one of my legs out to side. I quite like my legs being over the side of the bed because it is nice and cool. I always have my ipod on too. Otherwise I would get bored waiting to fall asleep.

I always sleep on my stomach. I sleep with my head resting on my arms which are on top of my pillow. Just the other night I was told I was cracking up in my sleep, so there's that. My mom said I used to snore, I call that fudgey. The only time I might snore is if I'm on my back, which is rarely.
