FFVII has said to have the highest playability of any Final Fantasy thus far based off of stats, though to back this, I want your opinion on this. How many times have you played through the story line thus far?

FFVII - 4 times

I have beaten many final fantasies multiple times but this by far I have been able to go back and each time have as much fun as the last. Since this has so many side things to do, such as defeating all the weapons, trying for the 7777, getting all items, chocobo racing, mastering all material, optimum character customizations (each unique in their roles), Getting all enemy skills, Trying to beat certain enemies without using KotR, Final attack, W-summon + mime. There are countless things to do even after you beat the game, or while on the same story line.

In fact, at the moment I've redownloaded this on PS Network and am close to disc 2. This will be my 5th, and also playing a little FFVIII on the side since it was a bit of a hard one to finish due to a little of a dragging story line.

I'm not saying this was the "best" FF, just had the most playability.

- Feel free to move this if there is another thread in regards.

I actually couldn't tell you how many times I've played this game =[ Id play it, leave it a few months and be like, I really fancy playing FFVII again...... I do tend to get to a point near the end though and be like, I cba anymore, and Il either give up altogether for ages, then be like, i should get back into my file....and just restart or Il just be like, fuck it and beat it - every playthrough I cant help but have a crack at doing a 100% completion run -__- So Ive probably played through to disk 3 about half as often as ive seen the credits..

though admittedly, my last play through was the only one where I have actually managed to master all my materia, i used to just lose all interest. Oh and I beat Ruby for the first time as well. /ashamed to say Id never done it ]:

Playing through the whole game? Probably maybe only 2/3 times... But I pick it up from multiple points of the game, and play separate parts through and then stop shortly after. I think I have multiple save points for parts of the game I want to replay :wacky:

I know I've replayed the end of it several times over.. The End of Disk One, several times over.. WEAPONS awakening a few times over... But now I don't have it anymore and I want to play. 3:

One of the main reason I replay it would be to see different scenes with different characters and basically do something different to what you did before..........I know what I said sounds complicated..........Kinda hard to exlain but I hope you get it............It's like the dating scene you go on a date with a different party member depending on how well you've responded to them...............

............I've dated Tifa and Aeris through replays...........need to date Barret and Yuffie............

The onlt other reason I would play this would be the gameplay I love it definately one of the best RPG battle systems for an FF...............(during those days)

Haha, I've replayed this more than any other FF I own. :8F:

I don't know, it's something about the storyline that makes me seem to want to come back and experience it again. It's like...okay it's over, now I want to figure out some of the little details that I might have missed so I have to play it all over again.

That and I think that the characters were really well done. The drama of it all just sucked me it in, tbh.

I believe FF TACTICS has more repayability than any of the numbered games.

I must have played Tactics 20-30 times verses 2-3 for the other games.

Couldn't agree more with this. :lew: I think I've actually finished it to the ending, 3 times.

Sometimes I get this rush to play FFVII, and I'll pick it up, then get bored after a week, (I can't play a lot 'cause of work.) and I'm not a rabid gamer, so it's hard for me to stick to something. But FFVII, is my most re-played game EVER. xD Just love all the little facts that Warbs pointed out.

Same for me. ^^

Personally, I think FFIX has supreme playability. But VII is pretty decent. I have to say that the replay value for me is in the story and atmosphere. Beating the weapons and breeding chocobos are a big plus also. The only thing that gets me in VII is the time it takes to train characters. It's not until the end of the game that you can get massive exp/ap, whereas in IX it's pretty speedy.

Hey all the cool kids are in this thread..........apparently.

I think FF has the best raplay ability.......maybe but FFVII is up there the whole game is just so fun, submarines, airships, mops , umbrellas and super balls for weapons so much thought went into this game an so long which holds it in good stead.

We have a saying from where my home land......" they dont make them as they once did"

Excellent game any replays have been done and many lay ahead.

I've only replayed it a few times. For me to sit down and really go at replaying a game, it actually has to have some form of replay value.

i.e, start over with some items you had before, stats at boosted rates so you can whip out badass moves in the beginning, etc.

I replay VII, VIII, IX X and X-2 all the time, I can't help it. :8F:
I don't know why, I just start a game. Eventually get bored and then I leave it for months, then I try and pick that save up and find I have no idea what I just did, what i'm doing next or what optional stuff i've done and it really confuses me. So I end up starting a new save.

Not to say that's a bad thing. VII is a great game but I do think i've outplayed them to death by now, but starting again with a challenge to make it more fun for yourself is always a nice idea.

I'd replay it just to get Vincent Valentine on my team. That was the one person I could never get and of course it would be one of the coolest characters in Final Fantasy VII too. Go figure. I like replaying the part where you're disguised as a basic troop of ShinRa and the part where you're playing all the games the most.

I've never really counted all the times I've played through Final Fantasy Seven... I have about 3 memory cards full of just save files...

I've been playing it for years, and it just never gets boring. I've done some game tasks others might call tedious, like talked to every person I could find in the game in all area's (Including the parts where you are Tifa, and Cid.)

I've gotten everything there is in the game, and beaten Emerald and Ruby. I've tested all the 'rumors' and bogus 'secrets' in the game, including the Aerith revival.

I've seen all the dates, and all optional scenes in the game, and am currently working on seeing every bit of dialogue in the game, which means playing through the entire game with different parties the entire way through, and since what people say is also dependent on where the person is placed... (Basically Cloud-Vincent-Tifa is a different playthrough that Cloud-Tifa-Vincent) I've completed a lot of those...

That and I replay the game just for fun. Every now and again when I dont feel like working on one of my many FF7 projects ;P

I've only played FFVII right through to the end once. Once was enough for me.

I have restarted the game multiple times and progressed to various points on Disc 1, but for me the game gets a little boring and loses it's spark throughout most of Disc 1, and doesn't pick back up until Disc 2. For me IX was very replayable, and I found it easier to want to play the whole way through.
VIII had it's interesting points that made me want to play all the through, and luckily they were spread out, with the boring bits inbetween. So I can usually play VIII right through a little easier than VII as well. I think it helps that VIII and IX are more driven in their plot advancement, instead of just going from A, to B, to C...

I never finished FF7, tbh it isnt all that....and to replay it ..no way...
Years ago I went as far as the beginning of Wu? where Yuffie lives.. then I quit..
last year I tried to play it on PC and well I quit in beginning of disc 4 I think (pc huh)

Cloud was such a lame ass,, he got on my nerves...

The only game I replayed was FFX and I did not do any breaks,.. just a second run through.

These days I dont have the time to replay anything,.,, 1 game through is enough for me..

The hell with them trophies as well on PS3.....it takes ages...

Wish I was 17 again :ahmed:.

I have replayed Final Fantasy VII that many time's I have lost count but it is my most replayed Final Fantasy game I just love reaching certain part's of the story line or hearing cid's smart ass comment's and I like that you can just go to the gold saucer and play game's so you can get away from the story as for other Final Fantasy game's I do replay them a lot but not as much as VII.

I have replayed almost every game i've finished.
I get so into the story i just rush rush rush and leave out all the sidequests and extras just to progress the story!

But I also try and use different main parties every time i replay, i really enjoy getting to use every character.

I've beaten VII too many times now. I'm gonna wait a couple years to play it again, but I will come back every now and then for the hell of it. Loved the game since it was the first one I ever got to play.

I have played Final Fantasy VII a few times and I still do so. Every time that I replay it I learn something new about it or find something new that I missed during my previous replays. I think that this game is replayability do to it's great storyline, battles system, plots, etc. I always enjoy replaying this game as much as I did on my first gameplay back in 1998 when I purchase it.

Basically all of this, I must have started the game from the beginning 15+ times since it has came out but only completed it about 4/5 times. I leave it for a while then can't get into it again so start it from the beginning or Play another RPG.
