Sooo what have you all got planned for New Years Eve? Spending time with family? Friends? Forever Alone?

Do you enjoy going to watch the fireworks?

I will be going to a house party which I am kinda excited for but at the same time, I am the designated driver :hmph: So I am not THAT excited, I would have liked to drink... maybe I'll sleep there :hmmm: I wont get to see the fireworks though my friend lives too far away for that :(

:toni: Now you.

i am going to drink and party like it's 1999 of course

:ari:

no, in all honesty i never understood partying on new years. :hmmm: not to judge anyone who does, but it's just not my thing i suppose. it might be because i'm not fond of alcohol. :hmmm: and i guess living in the middle of the mountains, hours away from any "cities", could also be why i don't like it. :lew:

(my brother's birthday is the next day so we'll have cake I'm sure :ohoho:)

I like nothing and nobody. I'm forever alone. :D

Anyway, we're making a big dinner (mom will be out to kill in the kitchen this time), I'll be playing WWE13, and I'll be on here bothering you poor souls. I love the fireworks btw.

I remember one night we saw them out the window. We were playing family Mario party 6, everybody was happy. It was perfect. :)

Then there's that time 10 years ago where I almost blew up the whole house. Couldn't open the stupid window and I'm there with a firework that's about to go off.

Anyway, that's it. Nothing major this year. We just be Chillin yo.

Oh and we'll be watching the fireworks on TV. Channel 4 to be exact.

Another person adding to the "doing nothing" list. The local pub has closed, and it's the closest one for miles. My mates all had the common sense to move away too, except for 1 or 2, and the remaining mates aren't up to anything.

Quiet times.

Why don't you and the other 1 or 2 mates who also aren't doing anything organise to go to eachothers house for some games or something? :O
That would still be fun! Bring a bottle of drink each and you can have a right good time

Could do. I'll see what they're up to I guess. I'm not really too bothered though to be honest. I might just go to the top of the mountain and watch the fireworks. It's pretty stunning from up there :)

I think we're going up to a party at an acquaintance's house about an hour away. Supposed to be about 20-30 people there. Copious amounts of alcohol will be consumed, I'm sure, though not by yours truly. Should be good times.

Forever alone sounds really good

I despise Hogmany so much. ( What we call NYE) The last 2 years running ive stayed in my house with my phone turned off like a good scrooge and this year i will do exactly the same. There are many reasons i dont like hogmany though really its reasons i dont like going out on hogmany. So i truly am happy to sit here and do what id usually do any other night. Going out drinking is easier anyother day that isnt the 31st

i'm working until 11.30, hurrah. i don't know who goes to the cinema on new year's eve, but we've already got people booked in and i hate them a little bit. afterwards i'm going round to a house party and there'll be a few there probably so i should at least be with mates at midnight

I'm doing nowt this year. Last year I went out to a house party and it didn't go too well so I'm in with the parents for this one. I don't mind really, we'll sit and watch shit telly and a film, have a few drinks and sit and watch the fireworks on telly. I think all my friends are doing the same to spend time with their parents while we're not at uni. I go back soon so I'll get plenty of partying in when I go back I'm sure.

Nothing this year either, little upset about that, I suppose. :lew: We rarely do anything, and our family is way too different from each other to do anything together... It hasn't been a real great year either, so I suppose the last day of it is just another day. Ah well. :lew:

Me... I'm going wing it this year... no set plans...so I'll just see what happens...

My plans have noww changed. I will just copy paste what i wrote to Connor in a VM. Explaining my dislike of Hogmany and what i am now doing instead of just nothing.

Im a Hogmany Scrooge. I dont like going out on Hogmany because firstly its usually freezing cold and pishing of rain. Every single pub and bar is so packed that you either dont get in or youl spend 40 mins trying to get served. To go along with that just about all the bars and clubs charge a fortune for entry and drink prices are increased by like 100%.
Instead of going oot my pal is coming down and we have loads of food ready to cook. Ie: sausages, racks of ribs, roast beef, bacon, kilted sausages, mashed neeps (turnips) and mashed tatties (potatoes) and quiche. Only thing i forgot to get was haggis >_< And of course plenty of beer and spirits. Couldnt think of a better way to spend it :D
Unless of course Bunnymund was here to spend it with me <3

At the stroke of twelve, I shall be snoozing contentedly, the only evidence of my existence, a steady heartbeat and the occasional shifting that sends the kittens fleeing from my bed. A Happy New Year to you all :monocle:

We had a friend pick us up and take us to another friends so we could drink.

She had plans to go out somewhere else before midnight so we came back to ours with her early and played a few games of pool at home and such.

I was pretty drunk playing pool and yet I still beat my brother and Steve and they were on the same team together. XD

Then two houses down let off some fireworks so it was a pretty sweet night. :ryan:

It would have been nice if we still had our pool. I so would have jumped into it and had a swim watching all the fireworks and such. XD It was a pretty hot night by the end of it!

We all ended up setting off fireworks in the local park by my friends house, it was awesome. It was funny seeing my mate light them and then run for his life across the field scared he might get hit. It ended up being a really fun night, I left about 1am because I had to take my friend home but I think being the driver and not being able to drink made 1am a pretty good time to leave.

NYE is always a nice reason to catch up with friends

We had a houseparty last night, got up this morning to survey the damage, took one look and jut went back to bed :lew:

Its spotless now though, I blitzed it. I think Tom might be dead, hes sprawled across the bed looking like hes seen better days. ive left him a huge fucking pile of pots to do

Amazingly Im not hungover. I feel a little bit squiffy, but other than that, i fared really well on the hangover stakes

Anyway, lots of food was eaten, booze drunk, good times had by all!
