ORPG Ideas

Well, I'm preparing something. Something that requires equal amounts of RPing and humor. It's a fantasy setting but more or less trying to take an approach to things that you don't see often and poke fun at conventions.

Basically it'll involve a party of people traveling around a fictional land with no long-term goals, but rather fulfilling a series of objectives they either acquire or stumble onto, all for the sake of gold and glory or for reasons of their own. Instead of a single, over-arching story that might drag on, there would be a series of shorter arcs and incidents that they'd have to tackle, keeping them on their toes.

I'm halfway through developing the starter region as well as some general rules before I post an interest check topic.
 
Well... I'm interested, to say the least. It sounds interesting enough, so I'll more than likely sign up. :hmmm:

sure, its in making and finalising, but Corinth is a mixture of tech and quasi magic
 
I hope its not steam punk, I'm not sure I can do steam punk. Modern technology with a futuristic feel can be done for me. :ari:
 
nope, future. No steam punk, tho very hefty amount of info and seroiusly, PLEASE PLEASE for the love of any god, read carefully about rules and details, because Ringo (GM) will bite you if you dont.

Well not to worry about that I can always ask before I post (especially since I'm new and all). At Least ringo isn't a big twat like the last Game Mod I rp'd with on my old community. That guy god modded some development on my characters without telling me all because of a bad mood. Now if Ringo doesn't do this, then I'm fine with whatever intimidating stories are made up. IF however, Ringo does what my last Game Mod did, then I will not take it lightly. :neomon:

Sooo liek any other techbased rps down here? been looking around and its mostly on a magical scale. I don't want to ruin the mystical feel by adding tech to it, any free running titles?
 
I don't know about you guys but I've been itching to begin a sci-fi RP similar to Dead space or Mass Effect. I think it's about time we get to RPING more. Thoughts?
 
Was thinking of trying to bring back ToF, which is a mid-evil fantasy setting but without a solid crew to work with I am unsure.
 
I'm still planning my Draken RP, so I haven't created a sign-up for that one yet. There's a lot to it.

As far as sci-fi goes, I think that'd be interested. Can't say I've ever been a part of one before. I'm used to high fantasy-like role plays.
