I agree, whilst sometimes it seems like SE is recycling the styles of character designs, there's generally a reason most of the time. Take Roxas for example, I didn't really like the way he looked at first because he resembled Sora far too much but then when you play the game you realise there's a reason. So I would imagine that's the same reason for Ven and Roxas

I presume that being in armour is also part of the "Keyblade Ride System" though there'll obviously be more to it than that 
Isn't it something like 10-12 years before KH1? I definitely know that young Sora and Riku are shown in it, who are 4-6 at the time (they are shown as the same as Sora's flashbacks from KH1) and that Sora is 16 at the time of KH1.I admit I sort of neglect Kingdom Hearts a bit when it comes to updates
Also, does anyone know hold old Zexion is in CoM, because I'd say in that picture he looks anywhere between 6 and 10 >.> So it might give us an inside to how long before KH1 BBS is
Yeah I don't really see the need in the board game idea either, if he pulls it off then great and I can fully understand he's doing it to give the series something new. But, I never saw a problem in just the traditional Kingdom Hearts games where you just play through the story rather than lots of minigames =|
I assume that would be similar to the Gummi Ship missions or the Light Cycle from KH2. I think it works like the attack Terra uses in KH2 FM where he uses his keyblade like a surfboard to attack Sora
So hard to survive even though it's easy. I hope it isn't going to be like that.

Riku is 16, but that's all the way in KH2
But I think BbS is 9 years before KH1. I remember in KH1, Leon was saying that all the stuff started happening "9 years ago".
In the 2009 TGS trailer, Master Eraqus is shown together with Master Xehanort, and opens the "Final Exam" for Keyblade Wielders and Apprentices. He's also the one who sends out his apprentices to search out Master Xehanort and Vanitas after their unexpected leave. Since the Unversed mysteriously started to appear at the same time as their leave, Master Eraqus sent Terra and Aqua to see if there was any connection between the two events.
