Isn't Sin......Stronger Than Other Bosses In The FF Series

strongest boss in FF history? Beatrix. No one will ever win against her. Never. Don't believe me? Go fight her in IX a couple of times. No other baddie stands a chance. She's a walking female Jesus.
Really? I need to play that game then. :hmm:

Now that I think of it, FF can be quite sexist when it comes to Female/Male boss quantity.

At least FFVIII made justice for making a bad ass sorceress concept.

sin would win all the way.......

all the other badies in ff are just people.....sin is a monster

and look..... sin does not need a weapon

The Emerald Weapon is like Sins cousin. His Older cousin. And is way stronger. And his weakness isn't a song.XD. Yeah his ugly and green, but so is Sin. yu Yevon bows down to the might of EW.(but sephiroth dosen't, he's too kickass)

Well you could say that for other baddies like WEAPON but I'm just comparing the villains of the game not the optional ones............but sin can defeat everyone......He is highly underrated.......like yunamad10 said sin is a monster all the other baddies in ff (well villains) are people.......in FFX you are against sin your stopping sin........not anyone else........well you could say seymour is a person but he's not the main person........and he does'nt kill sin........people like sephiroth use stuff such as meteor to destroy the world...............Sin can use himself to destroy it.

Shadow do you think you could beat Sin?

Sin has a great amount of power in the form of Gravitons and Space/Time manipulation, But these are just the basis of his power each time he is re-summoned when destroyed by the Final Aeon, and its subsequent transformation in to the next sin "shell".

It is the Person who became the Final Aeon that controls Sin, these people do not use there powers they gained to defeat enemies after they have been transformed, they use the abilities of Sin and its not really them who controls Sin its Yu Yevon.

In a kind of self-aware mind control the Final Aeon Subject is under the will of Yu yevon
and it fellows his desires to protect himself to continue the summoning........So it may be Sin is an incredibly powerful.......vehicle.....is a good word, but he has know will or desires of his own.

Its action are derived from its core nature to defend Yu Yevon, and it needs to be told what to do by a proxy being: The Final Aeon.

All the other bosses have actions/motivations that are either animalistic:Random bosses not affiliated with a group but are just powerful enemies, a Directive:a part of an army or fighting force opposed to the protagonist , Roles with in Nature:Beings hidden away with a purpose of protection.

There are other reasons why bosses are.......the way they are, But Si falls into a different category than most:He is just a shell,a proxy,an armour.

As far as in the story sin is the most powerfull thing in the entire series. If you are talking battle wise it was one of the easiest battles in the series. I think that if Sephiroth was to face sin, sin would run and hide like a scared dog.
The devil is Sephiroth's servant didn't you know that.

Tbh i'd have to say Sin is most likely the strongest force ever concieved in an FF game, with Vegnagun at a close second :hmmm:

As stated, Sin is pretty much an armoured vehicle and has enough power to rip the earth apart if it so wishes (as shown pre giga-graviton battle) as you go through FF10, Sin has ripped apart the landscape with force alone, take High Summoner Gandof's gorge in the Calm Lands created from a clash of Sin with the Final Aeon, two of the strongest forces at the time clashing.

Sephiroth, overglorified as he is, I doubt he has the strength of a machina cannon to rip open Sin's armour to get inside, the only possible way to bring the beast down. As observed by Operation Mi'ihen, it's nigh impossible to mount a frontal assault and survive, Sephiroth would most likely be destroyed by Sin's barrier :hmmm: since he wouldn't have Cid's airship playing the Hymn of the Fayth.

Yeah, Sin could destroy entire Spira in a second you know ;) Probably he would eat Sephiroth and the rest of villains xD They are no match for him

That's more because Sephiroth (debatedly) has a will of his own, Sin is pretty much a force of nature. Tbh though, Jenova was pulling Sephiroth's strings up until Sephy summoned meteor anyway :hmmm: but that's for a seperate debate :wacky:

I have to say though, Yu Yevon, the controller of Sin has more evil intent than Sephiroth, he doesn't act in place of another or have any set goal, he's like Kefka, kills for the sake of killing :hmmm: Sin is the very cycle of death in FF10, the only thing that gets reborn to kill again. It's both Yu Yevon's sword and shield.

All of them are equally strong for if Sin wanted to he could destroy spira and equally Sephiroth could choose to end the world if he so wished to with meteor etc. so all in all I am gonna have to say that they are equally matched in my honest opinion. (not that it counts for much though :wacky:)

I beg to differ though. Cole's argument made a lot of sense, and personally, I would agree with him. If you played VI thoroughly enough, you'll see that he managed to attain Godhood by absorbing the powers of the Warring Triad- a factor which is already completely expressed by Cole :D

In my opinion, Sephiroth is just plain overrated. He may be able to summon Meteor, but technically, if Meteor can be stopped by another spell like Holy, I think Kefka, God of Magic, would be able to easily conjure a 'Holy' of his own to stop Meteor. Hell, he could probably call down a 'Meteor' of his own though. Nevertheless, I won't say much about a battle between Kefka and Sephiroth though.

After all, Kefka, God of Magic as he may had been, was also defeated by a party of humans. Perhaps Sephiroth could simply best him through pure physical combat... Or whatever. I'm not going to comment on this one.

However, Kefka against that over-sized Sin... I'd think that Kefka can simply just warp around with magic to avoid Sin's attack, and whip him with some furious magical assault. Whether or not he can break that barrier is a question to be answered, but whatever. If he's a God of Magic, I suppose, like Cole argued, it'd be possible to break past that barrier and eliminate Sin...

So, I'd think.

Kefka = Sephiroth (Unsure)

Kefka > Sin

I've to leave out Ultimecia though. I never played VIII enough to know about her. If her Time Compression ability actually allowed her to alter time, then I suppose she could do something about Sin's creation. Hell, anyone that fights her could have their history altered...? Which leads me to wonder why she didn't use that against Squall's party. That's another issue altogether though.

In regards to Kefka, all the humans had been imbued with magical abilities, not as strong as Kefka but very close :monster:

In regards to Kefka fighting Sin, i'm inclined to agree Kefka may hold the upper hand IF he can pierce Sin's barrier and armoured exterior. (The Machina cannon had to target specific weak points just to harm it :wacky:)

As for Ultimecia... I think she'd be a good match for Sin too, but I think Ultimecia would be outmatched in the end, even junctioned to Griever :hmmm:. Her time abilities were severely limited and she could only insert her will in another time through possession of another sorceress, so Ultimecia would only be able to fight Sin in the here and now, which leads me to believe Sin would defeat her. Exdeath or Golbez however, I think they'd be a decent match for Sin, in particular Exdeath with his control over the void and control of various demons.

Yes but like you said Sephiroth would need to use meteor to destroy the world.........whereas Sin would just need to use himself.............Don't know about Exdeath,Golbez or Ultimecia.........they might be a good match.......But my argument is Sin can cause much more havoc than Sephiroth........Like in Kilika he wiped out most of the village with one attack........and destroyed half of Bevelle by just falling on top of it!

As DarkShadow said, I think the sin was the most destructive character of final fantasy, when it comes to videos, because in combat, of tall the characters, which gave me more work to date, besides the Kefta, were the Dark aeons in Final Fantasy X

I think Orphan from FFXIII and Sin facing off would be hilarious to watch. Sin's so-called impenetrable armour versus Orphan's ridiculously high amount of HP. They'll be fed up with each other before long :lew:

Lol idk, after a few attacks Orphan would be staggered, then torn apart by Sin. Hell he may beat Orphan before the stagger period runs out, lmfao. Sin would shit all over Merciless Judgement, pffft.

I think Sin would easily kill Orphan...............(I'm excluding HP here)

If both were here in real-life Sin would be the world's most destructive specie............

You'll need a nuclear bomb to stop Sin...........Sins attacks are gravitational whereas Orphan's merciless judgment is just like a massive sword going at you like BAM!

But if that sword goes through Sin it still wouldn't stop him............

Even if it did put a hole in Sin.........he'd be finished with Orphan in no time.........

Then after a few hours of terrorising the world he's die of internal bleeding.
