Any of you ever been in a situation where something you cant explain has happened? Something that has left you baffled and confused?

Right my story is a bit lame and stupid but bear with me cuz its the truth.

Yeaaars ago me and my pal were in my house on a friday night. We were having a few vodkas before we went out for the night. Earlier that day id bought 'first impressions of the earth' an album by the strokes. I put it in the dvd player to listen to as we had a drink. After an hour or so the music got paused cuz we started chattin more than we were listening. Eventually i turned the dvd player off. More time passed and i went to put on another cd. Opened the dvd player and boom the cd was gone.
Searched high and low all over my bedroom for that cd. I thought my pal was winding me up and hiding it but he never. The next day i even opened up the dvd player to see if it had got stuck somewhere but it wasnt there :gasp: Still never found it to this day.

Ok my story was pretty lame but its true.
I just want to hear some stories from you gaiz and gals.

:D That's quite a strange tale, Lew.

I've had a similar experience before, and it was a mystery for years. I think I've solved it now though. :sad2:

When I was a child at school (year 3 I think it was) I had a Timon and Pumba rubber. One day I was rubbing out, put it on the table, and then went on to the floor to pick up my pencil (or something). When I got back on my chair I noticed that my rubber had gone.

The situation for me was nothing though. It confused me for years and would occasionally pop up into my head as that great mystery in my life. Only about a year ago did I mention it again to my Mom and she essentially said "oh, you mean that rubber you had which a week later your friend also had?".

:rage:!

Mystery solved. My best friend at the time stole my Timon and Pumba rubber! I'd just assumed everyone was nice and friendly, and when at the time the teacher asked the class if they had seen my rubber I'd taken them to their word that they hadn't. I hadn't even noticed that the rubber my friend later had could be the same one that I'd lost.

There have been other mysteries in my life too (things go missing from time to time in most people's lives), but for years the Curious Case of the Vanishing Timon and Pumba Rubber was a real brain teaser. :brooding:

EDIT - Actually, my friend may have just bought his own rubber which looked like mine. I can't remember it, personally. If he didn't in fact steal from me then I still don't know what happened to my rubber. :O

This made me laugh so hard:
"When I was a child at school (year 3 I think it was) I had a Timon and Pumba rubber. One day I was rubbing out, put it on the table, and then went on to the floor to pick up my pencil (or something). When I got back on my chair I noticed that my rubber had gone"

Anyway, spooky stories that I can't explain... the only one i can think of is when my dad bought this house and it came with an old cupboard in the room that was my room.
Every now and then when the dogs would come into my room, they'd stop in the door way and look at the cupboard and their hair would stand on end and they'd back and go crazy at it and run out the room with their tails between their legs.
The Cat's even done the same thing before. Made me feel scared sleeping in that room for years haha and I don't even believe in ghosts or anything.

I thought that was pretty spooky.

That happened to me... :sad3:

With my Yoshi's Island game i had for GBA. I always kept the game inside the console, cos i was addicted to it, but i woke up one morning and it was gone! I looked high and low for it and never ended up finding it :sad3:

Me and my mum did the washing together when I was about 7. Brought it all upstairs, put away all my clothes, I put my pyjamas on my pillow for that night.

That night I came up and my pyjamas weren't there. We couldn't find them ANYWHERE, the particular power rangers ones I wanted to wear that night.

When I was 13 we threw out my old bed and got a new one. When we removed the mattress from the base of the bed, there they were: they had been sitting, FOLDED, between my mattress and bed base. We'd flipped the mattress in those years so I don't know what happened. I had LONG since grown out of power rangers, yet there they were - too small and folded.

Spooky.

A little while ago, I had itunes open and was listening to my library in order (ie. not shuffled). I left my room for about 5-10 minutes to have a shower and when I got back, about 10 songs had been skipped. I can't think of how this happened, the songs were all 'ticked', and the 'last played' thing said that they hadn't been played for weeks. Also no one else was around to skip them. I concluded that I must have a poltergeist who doesn't like Black Flag.

Yes, I've had many unexplainable things happen to me. For instance, when I was young, I was young. I woke up one day and I had lost that youthfulness. I cannot explain where it went, or if I deposited it somewhere to collect again in the future. Either way, it is not here any more, and though I spend some of my time searching for it, I am beginning to realise that maybe, maybe I'm just never going to find it again. Now, there are those of you who may think I'm being facetious here, but I assure you, that is not the case. The point I am trying to make is that the things I cannot explain the most are the things that life throws at me. I am me, but I am not the same me as I was yesterday, or ten years ago. Why is that, and why does it have to be like that?

If I could have the answers to these questions then I would be content, irrespective of what else life launched in my direction. One of the things that annoys me about life is the feeling that I shall die without ever feeling as if I've solved enough of the puzzle. I could die happily if I had all the answers, even if it was only for a fleeting moment as I entered the light. In terms of more trivial things that I cannot explain, there isn't really anything. I guess I'm more concerned with the philosophical and the mental things ahead of the material things that might influence this discussion. Nor have I ever seen a ghost or suffered an experience that spooked me and might, consequently, have freaked me out to the extent that I couldn't possibly explain it.

I guess I'm a dull person. Or a frighteningly interesting one. Or neither. Whatever.

Im sorry but those arent spooky just funny as hell. The only one which was spooky was PinkSquid´s story. They say animals and children under the age of 6-8 are able to see spirits etc. For the rest..I bet someone stole those things and mechanical things act up all the time.

My spooky story:

One time me and my friends were smoking weed or hash..I cant remember...On a kids playground in the middle of the night. It was superquiet ofcourse. At the time I was playing with my videocamera and taking pics or I had it in my pocket..again I cant remember exactly.

All of a sudden we heard a huge branch fall off..we heard somethin fall so we assumed it had to be a branch..or twig.... Well we were stoned as hell so we were startled :giggle:

There was no wind at all....it was weird..I decided with my smart mind to grab my videocamera and said in a whispery way.."Lets Take A PIC!"

Apparantly you can see a lot sometimes on photo's.

The area where the branch fell was pitchdark and filled with 4-5 trees.

Took the shot.. *CLICK*

Took a look at the pic...we didnt see shit..it was pitchdark pic even with the freeking flash..

Then my stoned ass buddy suggested zooming in....
So I did...NOTHING! "Move to the upper right corner" So I did and shittttttt man...... :gasp2:

I saw a freeking torso, one arm, freeking head..one shoulder.....it was posed as if it was walking towards us.. it was exactly like a freeking Zombie type:

REC1/2....I am Legend.. maybe Blade2..

Anyways we were freeking high and suddenly scared shitless so we got the hell out of there lmao..

I know Weed can make ya paranoid and your brain will always try to find patterns that you are aware off to rationalize things..but nevertheless it was spooky..

I showed the pic to others, and they agreed on the description. It got deleted by some dumb chick who was playing with the damn camera...

My spooky story:

A few years ago, when I was with my ex, we were staying at a friend's house for a couple of days. Everything was fine and dandy, up until the time my friend went out, and I remember falling asleep on the sofa with my feet up on my then boyfriend, next thing I knew, I woke up in the bed we were sleeping in, not remembering how I got changed and into bed that night, my then boyfriend was the same, he didn't know how he got into bed either, either someone was lying to me (everyone claimed we were in bed when they got back home) or we both started sleep walking to bed, which I've never done in my life. It still baffles me now.

Spooky stories are spooky indeed :hmmm:

I think when I was in my early teens, I was getting ready for school one morning after everyone had left the house, and I was trying to make a bagel, and I needed a dull knife to spread the cream cheese. I looked in the drawer, there were only three sharp knives because the dishes needed to be washed. I closed the drawer, took five steps to put something in the microwave, came back to the drawer, opened it, and there were now two sharp knives and one dull knife in there 8( I still have no idea how to explain that one, maybe my mind was playing tricks on me but I've always thought it was weird.

If you want something creepy though, I used to sleepwalk when I was like 7, and end up in the living room where my parents were still up watching TV, and I would just be standing there and they'd look over and see me and freak out :lew: But when they would wake me up, I would have no idea how I got there, and couldn't even remember having dreamt about walking. That probably happens to a lot of people though.

Something pretty weird happened to me when I was still in school. Right after school ended, I just started walking around my village. And then I suddenly woke up in one of the school classrooms, sitting in a chair with my head resting on the desk.

That pretty much freaked me out, I tried to get up, but both of my legs were very numb, so I waited about 10 minutes. I walked out the hallway, then went outside. I saw that everyone was at the community center for some activity I can't remember. I'm pretty sure it wasn't sleepwalking, I mean how can I fall asleep while walking around? I checked out the time, and saw that all this happened within an hour

Well....

My Mom always calls my Dad the "devil" because whenever he is around, shit goes wrong. I wouldn't normally think much of that name. Even though it was pretty strange that whenever he walked into the house, it would get dark, cloudy, and start raining.

Anyway, one day he's cooking in the kitchen with all the lights on, and I wanted to take a picture of him standing in the kitchen. I got my phone and had the perfect shot. It had about half of his body in the shot.

-click-

Dafuq? He was not in the picture I took! You could see the kitchen and everything that was behind him perfectly, but he himself wasn't there. I didn't have any special effects on or anything like that. It can probably be explained, but it's still creepy as fuck. Of course this fed into my Mom's idea that my Dad is indeed the devil. I kinda agree now.
