So I'm doing a paper for my Sociology class and we have to write about my parents and their parents history, which kinda excited me because I've always wanted to know more about my mom's side especially. And since my contact with her alone is already limited, much less her own family, I had no way of seeking history information (since I always forget to ask when I do talk to her once a month) until now.
I found out a lot of interesting information about my grandparents. I knew one or two info about them in the past and that's pretty much it, but my mom offered some additional ones tonight during our convo session in Yahoo that really made me go, "Wow, I wish I knew about this sooner."

So basically, what do you guys know about the history of your parents and grandparents (and their parents if you have any info about them). You may include any geographic movements, occupations, education, religious participation, major health issues, and anything else you want to include. Discuss your feelings about your history.
I'll state mine later since I still have to do my dad's side. Once I compile everything for my paper, I'll post it here then.

). When the Americans and Spaniards made a treaty and agreed the former would take over the country, my great-grandfather stayed.
