I also received the beta code this morning from Square Enix, so I will be installing it on the PS3 later this evening! :3 Hopefully installation doesn't give me any problems. >.>

EDIT: Only received it for the PS3, so make sure that if you signed up for the beta, you exclusively marked down that you were interested in the PS3 version.

I signed up twice - the first time I put PC and PS3; the second time I only put PS3. Who knows, maybe it makes a difference?
 
Just checked my e-mails and I rolled no dice as well.
 
I just got the email like a few minutes ago, so if you guys might wanna check your email again?

Seems like they are just randomly sending them out...

Also I am having trouble with this one time password BS I have no idea how to get this one time password!

Ignore the one-time password.

I actually had to sign up for a new Square Enix account. It didn't wanna take my current account, which already had a couple SE games registered on it.

Also, I'm wondering if I am also able to test the beta on PC.

The e-mail that was sent stated:

"After registering your code, you can log in to the test forums and download the test client for Windows PC here"

"To download FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn Beta for PlayStation®3, please follow the below instructions:"

So I guess I can download the PC one too, but I wanna try the PS3 first.

Current download status: 903MB / 4,841 MB -- This is going to take forever.
 
I finally figured it out!!!!

Sheesh had to make a new account also... stupid Square-Enix accounts...

Anyways, yeah this is a very long dl and it seems to be moving much slower than anything I have ever downloaded before... probably wont be able to play till late tomorrow anyways... ahh well PS3 can stay on over night :grin:
 
I have 35MB internet and it took me 4-5 hours to download.... was getting 350kb <_<

Anyway when you guys finally get on add me, Yuki Nakai, Am a black mage soo I start in u'grth or something 'long names are long'
 
I am downloading it, but probably wont be playing until tomorrow or Sunday :(

But once I am on I will be sure to join you guys and we can all take over the beta together :devil:
 
yooo all, you need to pick a server during character creation.... I am on Cactuar soo if we want to play together... be sure to go there

...Not that I've played this before.

Also, it's gonna take an hour to create a character... I know that's usually the case for me. :D

We sadly start at different cities depending on class, but yeah be sure to add me :D, remember that you need to pick Cactuar as the server

and it took me about half an hour to make mine
 
I hope the servers are not too filled right away :sad3: or else I will have huge problems trying to find you guys very fast :sad3:

and Steve-O do you mean Class as in lancer or paladin or... whatever they called the classes... I forget... or do you mean the Race you choose? :wacky:

I mean class.... race don't matter really apart from looks, but you start in a different city depending on class
 
I just got my code today, super excited! Will start downloading here soon...
 
I just got home and started downloading the PS3 beta. Should take about an hour. ^^

So we're playing on Cactuar then if it's not filled? I wonder what the other servers are called. The first version of the game had cities for server names (Nibelheim, Linblum, Midgar, etc.)

there stuff like moogle, shiva etc, and yeah, cactuar is theplace to go :), I have a linkshell (group of sorts) ready to add you guys, soo we can see who online when :D
 
I just finished creating a character, took me about half an hour as well. I was kind of just exploring the creation system though, so I might make a new one for serious play. Joined Cactuar though, and I'll be sure to do so again if I change characters.
