Next month, “the biggest game in the world returns,” according to the ‘next issue’ page in the latest Official PlayStation Magazine UK. Our only hint as to what it is? A huge “3″ in the center of the page.
I think it’s safe to say this is inevitable reveal of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, but as always, we can’t be sure until it’s announced.
Thanks, PushSquare.

Rumor – Modern Warfare 3 reveal in OPM next month
Official PlayStation Magazine UK is teasing a reveal for its Junes 8 issue, and it looks as though it could be Modern Warfare 3.
The ad posted on PushSquare says: “The biggest game in the world returns,” along with a rather large, and green number 3 plastered on the page.
A June reveal would be about right, because that seems to be the magic month for Call of Duty reveals.
We heard rumblings yesterday that Activision was to announce something CoD-related in New York last night, and Rock, Paper, Shotgun had heard that the firm was poised to announce Call of Duty Online.
Rumors over an online version of the shooter have been running rampant in for what seems like ages.
Speculation reached a higher pitch when during Activision’s last call to investors, it announced the formation of Beachhead Studios, and the sole purpose of the team is to create new digital content for the Call of Duty series. The creation of this “all-new digital platform” for the CoD franchise would come complete with a suite of online services to “super charge the online experience,” while “integrating online and console together for the first time.”
The Beachhead project has been in development for over a year, and more information on the studio along with content and services plans is expected to be announced sometime or another.
Last night, RPS heard that the new announcement could be Activision’s bid to go up against EA’s Battlefield Play4free, but was unsure if the Activision offering would be browser-based or not.
So, with the latest rumor from OPM, it looks like we can expect two possible announcements from the firm soon. Fingers crossed.
Thanks, AHA-Lambada.
