Place your votes!

Take all factors into consideration, for example:

Which is best for going online?

Which one has the better exclusives?

Which has better graphics?

And so on............

But altogether, which one is the best OVERALL?

I am going to say wee because it's making gaming fun for those who normally wouldn't consider it to be a leisure activity. It isn't as good as XBL for Online or PS3 for Graphics, but I think it more than makes up for it with it's standard muliplayer - especially Mario Kart after a night on the lash with the boys. Nothing can beat drunken Wii fun <3

I pick the Xbox 360. Graphics, online capabilities, and stuff like that is all well and good. What it REALLY comes down to as far as I'm concerned is the games, and the Xbox just has the most exclusive titles that I find appealing.

Well me, I went for PS3............I don't really go online, but I think the xbox 360 is better there.........and well, since I bought mine because of FFXIII-Versus I suppose the PS3 is better on the exclusives..........as well as the graphics the PS3 is better. But I'm not going to say it's that better then the Xbox 360,because the Xbox 360 does look brilliant.

As for the wii........well the graphics suck badly, but after a while you get bored of playing tennis and bowling games. You do nothing other than wave your arm about.

While PS3 has the better processing speed and handles games better, Xbox still has Live and comes with a microphone that isn't $60.00 exclusive and the community is more involved.

Plus there is something lacking the PS3 games department still, they should be off to the races now that they are out of court and aren't being sued. It's like they are waiting on something. Oh well, Xbox360 has my vote.

I went for the 360. Yes it does have its faults, but it has such better games then the other 2 consoles IMO. I love my 360 to bits :)

I voted for the PS3, but I understand that people have their own reasons for liking any console, and none of them are necessarily bad.

This decision is based mainly on the games available. PS3 has much more to offer for me, whereas there are very few games exclusive to the Xbox that pull me towards that console. The PS3 wins for games for me, by far.

The graphics being great on the PS3 is a definite plus, but for me graphics don't matter as much. I pick the PS3 for style too though. The main menu on the PS3 looks much neater, and I prefer the smart looking boxes when you get a trophy over the big blocky achievement boxes. These are little factors, but for me the PS3 just looks and feels like a smarter console.

As for the online capabilities... I'm not very familiar with those of the Xbox or the Wii, but I have been told many times that the Xbox Live is superior to all. That is to be expected really, as you have to pay for it. For free online, the Playstation Network works very well in my opinion. I've only had a few issues with it, and they tend to be a result of problems at my end and not problems with PSN itself. It could benefit with a bit more of a community, but I think that it is only lacking that because fewer people use their mics (or even own them) and talk to each other while playing a game. When people do, however, then you can see that it does exist on PSN too. They could probably work on encouraging people to communicate while playing games, as that would make the online experience a lot more interesting. Then again, you’re only likely to want to talk online when with your friends, and then many people do that anyway.

This is kind of a suprrise................I expected everyone to go for the PS3............Because you'll have FFVII fanboys crying for an FFVII PS3 remake not an Xbox 360 remake. And also the PS3 FFXII sold almost double what the Xbox 360 sold.

But I am glad people prefer the xbox 360 if they release FFXIII-versus on the xbox 360 at least more people won't miss out as most people bought the Xbox 360 due to the PS3 's price.

I went with a PS3, mainly because I don't like the fact that the 360 failure rate is way higher than anything over $200 should be. Even though I don't play games nearly as much as I used to, reliability and longevity are still a big deal to me. And there really aren't a lot of exclusive games, so even that's not an issue, unlike the old school SNES and Sega days when you had Mario vs. Sonic. :lew: And I do like the Wii, but it's a totally different animal, and one I'm still not used to. But Mario Kart alone tells me that it's also a very fun system. :ryan:

And also, I don't mind friendly debate about the topic, but lets not have random chit chat. And also, PS3 vs. 360 debates can be very heated at times, so I ask kindly that we keep our patience and not start ripping into people because they simply disagree with the system you prefer. Happy debating!

i voted PS3 also, the Xbox does have a better online community than the ps3 but the ps3 does have alot more exclusives than 360 and its blu ray capabilities as well as having better graphics aswell.

Playstation 3. :ohoho:

Personally, I think it's only out of the Playstation 3 and Xbawx 360. The Wii has smashed them both for sales but it's aimed at a more casual, family type audience with very few AAA titles that would appeal to a more "hardcore" audience. It's fun but personally I find it unappealing with its lack of more serious titles.

The Xbox 360 has a better online appeal but imo, that's where it stops. At the end of the day, you're paying $40/$50 just to play an online game if that's what you're looking to do, with the Playstation 3 it's free and I could pretty much say for sure what PSN does offer is more than enough for the majority of people so why make them pay for other features they won't need and/or use? Plus, LIVE is filled with far more raging fanboys when you're playing online.

Furthermore, even though the PS3 may not have as many exclusives as the 360, imo, the exclusives it does have and the franchises it has are far superior. SCE Santa Monica, Polyphony Digital, Team Ico, Naughty Dog, Media Molecule and Insomniac are all better exclusive developers than any developer for the 360 imo.

It depends for me.

Wii for multiplayer games (Mario cart, New Super Mario bros, Super Smash bros), innovation (even if some games don't respond well to the controls XD) and classic Nintendo exclusives.

Xbox 360 for exclusives, price, online gaming, and over all games.

I personally can't tell the difference between the 360 and the PS3 graphics so I'm not going to comment on that. I also do not see any reason to own both a 360 and a PS3 because only a few exclusives on each system interest me and I will not buy a console for only a few games.

Overall, I went with the Xbox 360. Nintendo needs to put out more classic Nintendo Wii verison games. Metroid, Zelda, and Mario are great so far though.

Which is best for going online?
I'd give this one to the PS3, purely and simply because I use the PSN more often than I do the Nintendo WFC. I've had occasional connection timeouts when I've been downloading things off the PSN - which annoys me no end - but I've had even more annoying disconnections from the Nintendo WFC right in the middle of playing, and overall I just find the PSN to be the better service.

The 360 is undoubtedly the worst for this. XboxLive costs. The Nintendo WFC and the PSN don't. I find it to be absolutely disgraceful.

Which one has the better exclusives?
The Wii, easily. Metroid Prime, Monster Hunter Tri, Animal Crossing, Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World and (I suppose) Super Smash Bros Brawl and Super Mario Galaxy, to name but a few. What you can buy on the 360, you can buy on the PS3, and vice versa. Get one of those two consoles and you won't miss out on much from the other one; they're like versions of Pokemon.
...and if that isn't enough, the Wii is also backwards compatible. The PS3 and 360 just can't compete with the Wii's overwhelming library of classics through that and the Virtual Console library, in my opinion.

Which has better graphics?
Tales of Vesperia alone could get the 360 this from me, but seeing as how the PS3 is capable of running that and more, really the PS3 is the only choice from my perspective. It can do anything the 360 and Wii can, and do it better.

So I suppose of the three, the PS3 is the best. But only just. I'm very fond of my Wii; when I'm actually playing a game on it I tend to have a lot more fun than I do on my PS3 or 360. That touch of "Nintendo magic" is responsible for that, I suppose.
...but still, the DS is much better than any of the three. So is the PSP, actually.
Handheld consoles are much better, in my opinion.

360 all day!! it has the best online, and i love the exclusives. I love halo and Forza, but then on ps3 i love gran turismo and mgs. so the exclusives is a tie. Also the 360 controller is so much more comfortable to hold and just smoother with the analogs, ps3 has the two analogs jammed together. ps3 has the graphics and ps1 games to download. wii is on its own.

PS3 easily. Though, I can't really say much since I don't own a 360 but, from what i've seen, the 360 has a lot of errors, no? Plus the PS3 does get free online service which is always good :ryan: Like Martel said, ususally you can get the same games for the 360 as for the PS3 so I agree there when Martel says Wii has better exclusives. Overall, I looooveee my PS3 xD Best outta the three.

Well, I can't really make a fully fair judgement because I too don't have an Xbox 360 (nor do I intend to get one) and I'm not necessarily that familiar with everything to do with it.

I'll settle for the PS3 as well then. Yes, the Xbox 360 overall has a wider library of games, with great exclusives such as the Mass Effect games and highly acclaimed ones such as Halo, Crackdown, Alan Wake - to name a few. But in the end, most of the games fall into two categories: shooters and racers. While this is a hasty generalisation, it is essentially what is commonly associated with when people talk about the Xbox 360. Now, I'm not really a big fan of those two genres and I just see more appealing names on the PS3, such as the Uncharted games, The Last Guardian, Ratchet and Clank, and so on.

Don't ask me about the online stuff though - I'm not too familiar with all that. xD But seeing as Microsoft likes to charge you whereas Sony isn't - it's probably fair to say that you're probably getting more value from PSN than from Xbox Live.

As for the Wii, well......I have to admit, it's been collecting dust here until my sister took it out again for Wii Sports Resort. Yes, it has great games such as Zelda, Mario and later games such as Xenoblade, but that's usually rare. Most of the time it just gets releases such as Just Dance. It's sort of become a joke now despite the fact that Nintendo made a good move to focus on innovation as opposed to making a sheer powerhouse console. :hmmm:

It's impossible to call.

First off, because gaming is an art form, it's purely subjective. I could say the Wii has the better exclusives, but another gamer may prefer those on the 360. Of course, the only definate (so to speak) gauge we can call is hardware capability, to which the PS3 takes the cake.

But then there's the Wii's mammoth game pool to draw from, a trait facilitated for developers by it's nifty control system, which can support practically any kind of game. No other platform can boast such diversity. Then there's the PS3's online store, being able to emulate classics from previous generations such as Rayman and Crash Bandicoot.

The 360 is only backward compatible with some of the more popular Xbox games, an oversight no doubt induced by Microsoft rushing their console out of the blocks to boost sales. The 360 offers a decent online service which outstripped those of the Wii and PS3 until Sony decided to offer Playstation Plus, which for me has been the nail in the coffin for Xbox Live. Not only do paying PS+ members gain an improved service, but players who don't want to play can still play online. Then let's not forget that original 360s weren't dispatched with built-in wifi, another nuisance most tend to forget.

It's not something I can call, but I'm not the kind of gamer to leap around my living room so the Wii was never quite viable for me. The 360 had a few exclusives I was interested in and at the time that sealed it for me but the PS3 has certainly caught up with sounder business moves and solid hardware.

Suprise Suprise..............

I thought the 360 would be leading this by now.............
But times have changed

All together from what I see the 360 is best for going online as well as Halo of course...........Xbox live is really popular more so than PSN........but that's really all that it offers........the graphics are slightly better on the PS3,but only slightly.

The Playstation 3 doesn't have as many exclusives as the 360,but doesn't have as much errors either. Thats a Xbox 360 disadvantage which gives the PS3 more advantage over the 360. Who would want to buy a console which could break within a few hours os playing...........Depends what type of gamer you are huh?

As for the Wii..........it seems to be in a different world.........the graphics are shambolic........the Wii isn't really about graphics.........it is boring just swishing your arms about in tennis........but it's more for physical enjoyment.

There are more games than Wii sports as well as games that don't really use motion controls...
