Whitney Houston Has Passed away ABC news reports

Definitely some form of overdose. It doesn't require much thinking before coming up with the most likely cause of death.

R.I.P. Whitney.

^ That appears to be the only article contesting it. Everyone else is saying she has died, so I don't know yet. Depends how credible the first actual report was. O_O

EDIT: Cali has a good eye. It is an old article.

Ah, I was not even looking at either article to be quite honest only the caption up top. Though it's a shame. She definitely a good voice before the drugs took over. Her husband was an ass, an enabler.. so just another waste of the talent.

Though respectably she had one of the top 5 voices in the US in my opinion in her prime. She was pretty hot to! (even for an older lady). Bodyguard

Yeah, she has always been one of my favorite voices in music as well. Me and my sister just listened to a few of her songs last night. I don't think I'll be able to ever listen to one again with out feeling sad :C

She was one of those people who I knew about but never bothered to listen to. I've only heard that song from the Bodyguard. Not my cup of tea but yeah; R.I.P.

Oh, dear word.
Listen:
:C

That song used to always get me out of a funk. Whether I was sad, angry, or just alone. It's just really fun and upbeat.

I've actually heard that song I didn't realise it was by her though. :lew:

Come to think of it, I've probably heard a bunch of her songs without realising. :hmmm:

She was a major crackhead. Its not that surprising sadly. That guy she was with was a fucking waster and a loser. He never did anything but drag her down further.

She had the voice of an angel, and she's truly missed. I couldn't believe it when I heard it, because I really respected her as an artist.

My mum just said the exact same thing! Haha.

Eh it's a shame when someone famous dies but if they're a junkie it was only a matter of time before it happened so I am not surprised in the slightest.

I didn't really enjoy her or her music I will admit.

RIP etc.

Well this is terrible news.

Now my Facebook feed is going to be spammed with rubbish music, and status messages of people getting on their high horse and asking for us all to ignore Houston's death and think about people dying in Syria... for likes.

mhm aha she was so talented RIP :licky:

Yeah a surprise I think but not a shock she's had drug problems for a long time now and even if it wasn't an overdose she died from after a while of substance abuse the body is never really the same. Still, 48 is really young and she was one of the best vocalists I've ever heard. I think I Have Nothing was her best performance.

She might seem cutesy and innocent, but I think she's the type of woman who wouldn't hesitate to slap the !@#% out of someone if they pissed her off. Even at a young age.

I don't blame Bobby Brown for "corrupting" her, I think she had a bad girl side to her. :ohshit: /oddball opinion, ftw~

I hate that Rihanna, Britney Spears and Gwen Stefani are called "divas".

Whitney Houston was a real diva - she could sing.

Rihanna and the rest can't & aren't deserving of the title. :hal:

R.I.P. real diva. :ohshit:

I saw this pop up on my twitter feed this morning and i didn't believe it at first (considering last week twitter was trending that justin beiber was dead) but i saw it all over the news channels on the tv when I got up, very sad news I loved listening to her music i grew up with her music as a child and loved most of her songs.

this song is just sooo beautiful :inlove: may you rest in peace :sad2:

I'm not going to be "OMGZ RIP!!!!!!" because in honesty, I rarely listened to her so it's no concern of mine. She did have a hell of a voice no doubt about it - back in her prime. I lose respect for anyone though when they start resorting to drugs, she's been going downhill for a hell of a long time now.

This performance pretty much sums up her singing career towards the end of her life:

I knew of probably one song by her :hmmm: But it was a good song. Other than that, I had to look her name up to remember who it was. RIP. Hopefully her death won't go down the same road as Michael Jackson's, and everyone suddenly loves every song she ever sang :hmph:
