What are the top 3 countries you'd like to visit if you could and why?

For me it would be:

Germany - Because I am part German, I love the culture, the language and the people. I think the culture shock would be amazing too.

Japan - Well I love everything about Japan. Specially the games, anime and manga!! I'd wanna visit their games district and ride the bullet train and go to the more conventional villages to experience their way of life!

USA - Its huge, we hear awesome things about USA all the time and its just a place I'd love to visit, the USA and Australia are similar and the fact that we're both an English speaking country means it would be easier for me to find my way around if I were to ever visit!

Now you go! :D

:gasp:

FINALLY!!!!

A Thread worth posting in.

--
First off -

JAPAN JAPAN JAPAN
. There's no other better place I'd love to visit then Japan, especially the city of Tokyo. I'd love to go to Tokyo and go to their numerous conventions and gaming events. I'd also love to go there to sightsee. One particular thing I wanna see is a Cherry Tree in person.

PARIS. Paris holds a bunch of famous artists, and a myself being very interested in art, I'd love to go to Paris to once again sightsee, but also to visit the museums they have, featuring very famous art pieces.

Awesomesauce Squiddykinz.

DENMARK: Denmark always appealed to me. Its a old Country(per se.) It has lots of History behind it and I love History. Plus I think Danish is plain Sexy.(I cant help but love the way they speak ;D)

RUSSIA: Oh boy. Russia always appealed to me Because of its climate. I love cold weather. And Winter Russia is just beautiful. And there is many places to go.Plus the next Winter olympics will be held there~

NETHERLANDS: Oh yeah. The country Canada freed from germany. And again I love Dutch accsents. Plus they have The Tulip festival, And I really want to go. Plus Im part Dutch~ so YAY ANCESTRY!

FRANCE: My my. Je adore le French. la country of La'mour. (and Wine :D) Plus Im french. So yay ANCESTRY AGAIN! (French translation= I adore/love the French. La'mour=Love)

SCOTLAND: To list: Im more scottish than I am candian:-)gasp:). I love most scottish foods. I think Scottish Accsents are Totally Koolio. and Kilts are what Real men should wear. My dads a scotsman. We have The scottish flag at home. My last name is a Scottish clan. Many of my Relatives(on my fathers side) are Scottish. Connor is a Scottish(Well Celtic/Irish. but it works) name. And Scotland is plain beautiful. I might actually be able to go there this year. ILL BE ABLE TO SEE HOGWARTS! :gasp:

Tis the end of my Country rant. Honorable Mentions go to:

Norway,Sweden(IKEA :D),Germany,Austria,America,Spain,Belarus,Lithuania,Ukraine,Latvia,Estonia,Japan(VIDEO GAMES/ANIME/MANGA :D),china,Thailand(SPICY NOODLES~)

Im also hovering between England. Ive met a Few English people That are Total Snobs. So Ive kinda got a Bad impresstion on the english. Anyone from England here to Correct me?

Oh, I've got several outside-of-America places I want to visit ~

Japan

Germany

United Kingdom

England

Ireland

The reasons for wanting to visit all of these places usually lie around from wanting to see my friends that reside there (mostly met from foreign exchange) or just wanting to see how different it would be to stay at a place with a totally different culture and lifestyle. I thought about this a lot recently actually, and am in the process of getting a passport . :wacky:

I'd like to visit:

Hawaii: Technically it's a State of the USA so I guess America would come under the countries I'd like to visit. I just like the look of the atmosphere when you see movies and T.V. shows and such. Looks relaxing. =)

New Zealand: Though I'd rather not go anywhere near there at the moment due to the recent disasters. Most Kiwis that come over to Australia are really laid back and I like the vibe I get from them. I think it'd be a friendly place to visit and I'd love to see snow!

Greece:
I've always been fond of Greece. I have a lot of Greek friends and I like the culture. It'd be a totally different place to visit and I think I'd die happy if I ever got to go there. =)

Japan -- Because it just seems an amazing place to be! I love the attitude they have, and I'd like to be one of millions walking those streets in the city itself.
It's like this there, pedestrians are more important that cars...if a Japanese man was trying to get to work...he needs to cross the road to the 384038ft building he works in and a supercar drive towards him, the Japanese man would say
''Oi, me first, then you bitch, you can wait'' I <3 it.

I have to jump on the bandwagon here and say Japan to, for the exact same reasons. The games and the anime!

I've lived in England all my life but I'm moving to Sweden in April so it will be awesome to have a change, not looking forward to learning the language mind. It's not somewhere I've always wanted to go to, but thinking about it, it is a nice country.

USA - In fact, I've never even been on the North American continent at all, and America is certainly my number one place to visit. It's pretty much the perfect escapism from the UK for a little while due to its sheer size and everything it has. I'd love to totally go crazy with a car and go on a road trip across the country though, crossing through as many states as I can. That would be an awesome dream. :wacky:

Japan - I'd love to visit the heart of Tokyo and look around at the Akihabura district's electrical stores (geeky me) and just buy as much as I want in there. However, if I ever get there I know I'll feel overly claustrophobic with the tight cosmopolitan life as well as lost with a language. Still, ramen. I can't get enough of that stuff. :mokken:

Singapore - I suppose this is also on my list because I'm eager to see more of the far east. So far I've only seen Hong Kong, so I'd love to see Singapore as well and how life is over there. It's a very clean place, which is something that goes along with my personality. xD

Germany - Well, I've been there before, but that was a very brief visit. I'd love to go back for a bit longer, particularly to see Hamburg, which is a really beautiful port city. I do have distant relatives over in Hamburg, so that may be a good enough incentive for me to visit sometime.

Used to be Japan but I feel it's over rated with everyone dreaming of traveling there. My uncle in Tokyo is eager to get me over though. So I guess for the sake of seeing family, I would say Japan is one of the countries I would like to visit.

Russia is one I would love to visit. The language and accents are amazing. I feel as if I would learn a lot while there too. My poor camera would be punished something awful with the amount of photographs I would take.

There are a few other places I would like to see such as Egypt, Australia, Korea and France since I'm part french. I have different reasons for each of them but they are rather personal so I'll keep it to myself.

:hmmm: I struggled to narrow it down to 3 to be honest. I'm a complete history nerd so I'd like to go pretty much all over the world... apart from Africa. That's one place I've never fancied at all.

Sooo...

1) Finland - home of my favourite man in the whole world, Kimi Raikkonen :mokken:
Hahaha, and I'd love to go in the winter, just because of the snow. That place is so beautiful in the snow.

2) Germany - because all of my friends have been and thought it was amazing. I'd like to go to Berlin and see the remains of the Berlin wall as well. My history teacher's been and he said it was fantastic :gasp:

3) Russia - history thing again, I'd like to go to St Petersburg and see all of the fantastic buildings :ryan:

Some other places I'd like to go... :hmmm: I'd like to go to New York but no other parts of the USA interest me. Plus, I'm terrified of flying and don't think I could do a 7 hour transatlantic journey :lew:
Um... Japan, I suppose, purely for the history bit again. The old buildings and stuff fascinate me... same with China, I'd like to see all the old architecture :ryan:

...Yeah, I'm a complete history nerd. I mean, all my life my parents have taken me on holiday to places 'because they're sunny', but that's not a reason why I want to go away... it gets boring doing that :gonk:

Well I'm a war nerd so All of Europe is on my list, I love studying WW1 and WW2 the most but i also would like to study some other wars from Europe. All the history of the battles and the leaders and weapons and all that is just so intresting to me.

Japan for the simple reason that its Japan home of my video games and home to lots of war history :D

China, again war history, but also they have some amazing cultural monuments from ancient times, like early A.D. and B.C. monuments that I would love to learn about.

Greenland :reptar:

I'm a huge Norse history nerd, and I would like to see all the homesteads ruins before they sink into the ocean :sad2: Brattalid, Gardar, Herjolfsnes...I've seen a bunch of cool related stuff in the UK already and it was amazing, so I want to see more in different places now :jess:

Germany. I'd like to go there to see a world where there's actually German on the streets and on the signs and everywhere. Not just in movies, books, music and video games.

But I'm probably going this summer anyways, so.

#1)Japan.
Do I seriously need to tell you why I want to go to japan?Seriously? Still,it's not very original,but,whatever...

#2)Ireland.Because I'm of Irish descent. And you gotta love the words that sound nothing like they look.

#3)The UK.Because of The Beatles,Led Zeppelin,The Rolling Stones,The Who,The Kinks,and Pink Floyd.No doubt it's still got an amazing rock scene today.

Romania: cause my family is from there.

Japan: cause that is were all the cool stuff are made there(FF, pokemon, DB, DBZ, ect)
Those are my 2 main places to go, but i do not know where else i would like to go every bad.

england is part of the uk.

italy is top of my list, most specifically venice. it looks like an amazing city both for the really interesting architecture, and the logistics of it. a city built on water is mind mending, i think. i've heard that in about 20 years, it'll almost all be underwater or too dangerous to be pedestrianised, so it's something i'd look to do quite soon if possible.

new zealand looks like a beautiful country, for scenery. i'm from the lake district, and new zealand seems to be a larger version of that. i really love where i live, so it all adds up.

i'd really really like to go to russia some day. i've always had some sort of fascination with the people and the culture.

CHINA: Great food, amazing culture (minus the dictatorship stuff >.>), fascinating history, sights to see, and, last but nit least, I won't be satisfied with my life unless I visit Confucius' grave at least once :\

EGYPT: I've always wanted to see the pyramids, and I've yet to travel to a desert. It's one of those things :P

FRANCE: C'est la France, mon ami! La louvre, la tour D'Eifel, e.t.c. J'ai envi de voir tel choses au moins une fois dans ma vie, n'est-ce-pas?....So yeah, I've got shit to do there n_n'

ITALY: Again, lots of stuff I want to se here, from the ruins of the Roman Colluseum, to the Tower of Pizza.

MEXICO: Tequila and Mojitos. That's all I need to know.

NORWAY: I've seen tons of pictures of Norway, it's a beautiful place, so I'm gonna grab my camera and go.

PERU: Those Nazca lines freak me out, I gotta see them for myself.

JAPAN: The anime stuff and food is nice, but I want to see some Japanese-style castles :3

And the list drags on and on and on.......

I have a lot of places I'd like to visit. The ones that stick out are:
Poland - I have a friend that lives there, and I'd love to meet him.
Japan - Cause it's awesome there, and I like Japanese culture.
Holland - I was told that it was a beautiful place to go and visit. Also, I know people that live there.
The UK - No reason in particular. I've just always wanted to go there, even as a little kid.

Chezch Republic. Would really like to go to prague. I hear its pretty awesome for nights out etc so id love to check it out sometime.

Besides prague theres not really that many places i want to see above anywhere else. Id go anywhere. Each country has its little differnces so its hard to pick out somewhere in particular. If i had the money id leave right now with just my bank card and passport.
