Cover Duhemsounds Final Fantasy covers

Yes! For your first FFIII track, this is a very appropriate one. It is, I believe, the very first character theme in the entire Final Fantasy franchise, if I remember right.

I love the drop at approximately 0.47, and elsewhere at various points. It is very subtle and reminds me like some of Vangelis' tracks on the Blade Runner soundtrack. It definitely makes this track more melancholic, and while I'm not intimately familiar with FFIII (it is the only mainline game I have not played myself since it skipped the PlayStation release treatment), I do believe that sadness is warranted for this track and character...

While sad, it is also a beautiful track, and you've done the melody justice here! Love the ambient sounds, and some of them sound water-themed to me (I heard something which could be interpreted as sounding like a sad whale at some point, though subtle and distant), which fits the character and plot well.

Thanks a lot Dio, that's exactly all I was aiming for that track :)
FF III is also not the FF I know the most but its soundtrack is beautiful and I got inspired by this theme

Hello

Hope you're doing good

Here's my fresh new cover Shore of Dreams (Another World) from Chrono Cross.

🐺 5th Duhemsounds Anniversary Communication 🐺

- What has been accomplished in 5 years -

Hello

It's finally here ! It's been a while I've talked about it, the 5th Duhemsounds Anniversary :)

On June 6th 2016 I've started my Duhemsounds with the goal to make creative video games music covers.
5 years later I have around 140 covers and the 150th will be for this year.

In these 5 years Duhemsounds this is around 1750 YouTube subscribers, 200 000 YouTube views and 700 000 Spotify streams.
I never though having such numbers so quickly when I started my music adventures. For that support I'd like to give you a big thank you from the heart <3

- A crazy anniversary for a total change of dimension -

I first had a project with Gerudo Valley from Zelda Ocarina of Time.
Finally I wasn't happy with it and decided to delete the work.

Next I was thinking about making something new on Dark World Dungeon from Zelda A Link To The Past.
The idea was to create a unique ambiance for each of the 9 dungeons of the dark world.
After a big bunch of hours of work, I've made a 8:20 track but wasn't happy with the result. I've also deleted that one
Only a few days remaining to be on time for the licensing and...A bigger idea came, a way bigger idea, a true new Duhemsounds !

Starting on June 1st Duhemsounds is evolving and will now be opened to a wider universe of music covers :
- Classical music covers with a unique cinematic / hybrid touch
- Media music covers (video games, movies and anime) that will also have a very Duhemsounds signature.

Every 1st of each month you will have a music cover from one of the media categories
Every 15th of each month you will have a classical music cover

At midnight Paris Time, wolves hour 🐺

About video games, there will still be some Final Fantasy, Zelda and a few main ones but I'm also widening the licenses selection.

This new Duhemsounds is starting June 1st with a cover of Corynorhinus from Batman Begins composed by the great Hans Zimmer, soundtrack also involving Mel Wesson, James Newton Howard, Lorne Balfe and Ramin Djawadi.
For the first classical music cover of June 15th you'll have Frédéric Chopin's Mazurka Op.7 No.3 like you've never heard it :)

This new Duhemsounds is a very exciting project, I hope you will like my style put into these tracks you love.

- Mirror, Mirror, am I the most beautiful wolf ? -

That new Duhemsounds is needing some graphical improvments. Starting on June 1st you'll discover new visuals :
While keeping the Duhemsounds graphical identity, you'll see some improvments and new elements on the logos, banners and commercial artworks.

Thanks again for your awesome support

See you on June 1st on YouTube, Spotify and all your favorite music platforms for the beginning of that new Duhemsounds era :)

This all sounds great! It would be cool to hear your renditions of classical music in particular.

Congrats on the anniversary (coming soon, at the same date as this site's anniversary). I wish you continued success in your next year!

I'll be happy to have your feedback on these release Dio
I don't post here as it's not FF content but you have the schedule so you know when to have a look at the channel

Thanks a lot to FFF that has been very kind and supportive during these 5 years and that helps me find new listeners

I'll have new FF covers in the future, a bit less often as I now of 4 categories but there will still be some :)

🐺 Duhemsounds Special Communication 🐺

Hello,

Today I'm coming to you with a major update on my work.

Since many years I've had different schedules with various fixed release rythms.
It was good at some point to create a rendez-vous but I think after 5 years you don't need this anymore.
I've also seen your enthusiam for the new categories since the 5th Duhemsounds Anniversary event.

I'm announcing the following changes starting from today :

- No more fixed schedules. It means that new covers can come any day once they are ready. No fixed amount of releases.
Quality improvement will the stay the main line. Quality is more important than quantity for me. If sometimes I can give you more while keeping a great quality, I will :)

- Randomization of the covers release : The goal here is to avoid to have each month 1 cover of this, 1 cover of that and then again. You may have 3 classical in a row, then a video game, then 2 movies. I'm randomizing this and picking the tracks as I wish without questionning about a fixed way to release them.

What doesn't change :

- Covers will still be at midnight Paris Time, wolves hour 🐺 because this is something you like and that works fine with my lifestyle :)
- Covers categories are staying video games, movies, anime, classical music as I've announced in the 5th Duhemsounds Anniversary Communication.

I hope you will like that more opened Duhemsounds, keep giving me feedbacks about the work and some tracks you would like to hear

Thanks for your support

Thanks for the update!

Yeah, while having strict schedules can have some benefits, it can also be quite restricting as a creator as you could trap yourself. I can completely understand why you'd free yourself of this so that you can focus on your tracks when they appeal to you most and feel like you can give them your all with your whole heart. This way, if you are on a roll with a particular type of track then you can pursue that instead of having to step aside to focus on another category, and without fixed, ticking clocks looming over you.

I wish you well with your upcoming releases. Feel free to share them with us even when they aren't Final Fantasy related if there are some you'd like to share.

As Dio gave a green light here's my new release :

This is my take on Minuet in G Minor BWV Anh. 115 from Johann Sebastian Bach

Classical music is one my new category of covers. I try to put in them the beauty of piano mixed with very unique sounds

Sorry I'm late.

This is really relaxing! I wasn't too familiar with it, but parts of it do ring a bell (namely the first couple of seconds). I looked up another video to familiarise myself with how it traditionally sounds before watching yours.

You did a great job! A crisp, clean cover. Like an angel playing the piano in a cavern of crystals.

I'm really happy that you like it :)

Classical tracks will get that quite unique touch I want for them

I'll have another one in September that you may like which is more in that 'angel/crystal' style you describe

But first, before that, I'll have an epic Lord of the Rings cover on September 3rd :)

I have something epic for you :

My first Lord of the Rings cover :)
I watched LOTR for the first time in ages recently, so this is well-timed.

Choirs are good, but I particularly like the track after 2.28 where it gets darker, menacing in tone. This is the mysterious atmosphere which is simultaneously wondrous and terrifying that I associate with LOTR and they are the parts of the LOTR soundtrack that I enjoy the most. You really do get a sense of ages past and the footprint on the present. Essentially it is the theme of a 'lore dump'. Your rendition is particularly haunting! I can't decide if I'm imagining Galadriel playing this on a piano, or Saruman playing it to taunt an imprisoned Gandalf.

Hello :)

If you want a bit of emotional music, here's my cover A Lost Child from My Neighbor Totoro =3

I’m ashamed to admit that I’ve never seen My Neighbour Totoro, so I cannot compare this with the original track or any emotional context of the track in the film. But I really like it! And the background noises do add to the character of the piece, I feel.

It was very relaxing.

Thanks a lot Dio :)

There's no shame, I've actually not seen any Ghibli movies despite they are described as excellent. Just because I never took the time for them

🐺 Duhemsounds Special Communication October 2021 🐺

Hello,

For those having followed my recent posts, you know I'll be releasing Opening ~ Prelude from Final Fantasy on October 15th

This will be my 150th cover which is an important milestone in my music adventures.

As you know there have been some major changes since a few months with the new covers including movies, anime and classical in addition of video games tracks.

I've often told you about my preference for quality rather than quantity.

That 150th cover will show you the beginning of a new level. I've spent more than 1 month on that one to go deeper in the artistic research and in the sounds crafting.
There's a lot more to improve and that's what I wish to work on.

Also you've told you were liking to have a rendez-vous.

Following these two points I'm making this change :

You will now have 1 new cover every 15th of each month at midnight Paris Time, wolves hour 🐺

This is a new regular rendez-vous for you and a rythm that will give me the time to work deeper on each track to get closer from that top quality I want to give you.

I hope you will like these new tracks :)

I've told you there will an event for the 10K Spotify Monthly Listeners. Actually we're at 9400, quite close from the goal :)
The Halloween cover will be on November 15th for that year following the new rythm.
The Spotify event may be on December 15th if you reach the goal.

I have multiple track choices for that event depending on when you will reach the target :)

Thanks a lot for your support, see you on October 15th for Opening ~ Prelude from Final Fantasy
