For me, it's the desert prison, I hate it so much :rage:

I hate nearing the end of disk one because I just know it's looming and I have to go up to go down togo back up ....like a fucking yo-yo, it really is one of the dullest parts of the game

Oh that and when you're in Garden and you have to find headmaster Cid...Ooh, Im not sure which I hate most now... running round that fucking garden and getting the same 'ANOTHER ONE OF HEADMASTER CIDS FOLLOWS, DIE!' Bollocks really pecks head

THEN there's the whole NORG thing and the ridiulous way you find out Cid and Edea are married 'its all that pathetic married couples fault'

As IF you would say that, they could have worded finding that out so much better ¬_¬

So, how bout you lot?
 
Desert prison and the space scene.

Desert prison because of the confusing way to get out. I ended up going through the same 3-4 floors for roughly 10 minutes before I realized I wasn't gettting anywhere. :gasp: Annoying trick, that was. :jtc:

And the space scene, the part where Squall is trying to catch Rinoa before she runs out of oxygen. You're just floating there, trying to aim at something you can't even freaking see until nearly half the clock's run out. And at the last 10 seconds, I was thinking i wouldn't get there in time, she'd die, there would be a whole "game over" thing, and I didn't save beforehand, so I would've been soooooo pissed if that were to happen. :rage:
 
Obviously the worst part is the propogators, bastards keep coming back to life. In reality that bit is not that bad, the Ragnarok is a cool place. And the worst thing about it is how bad I remember it to be. And the other part I dislike is the sewers because I always manage to get lost:rage:

Yeah, that was definitely one of the worst lines in the game. >_>

I really hated the desert prison. Running all the way down and then running all the way back up. In my first playthrough, at the part where the prison starts to sink and Squall falls off the bridge, I didn't realize I was supposed to move. I thought it was a cut scene and I got a game over. -__-

I also really hated Fisherman's Horizon. That whole waiting for the garden to be repaired thing took forever. And the town wasn't interesting at all. It was just so blah. The "making the band" thing was kind of amusing because I did it completely wrong and they sounded terrible. :wacky:

Other than that, FH just sucked.
 
I hated the part where you had to find the thing to go into the sleeping forest. I gave up on the game for a while due to that. It took me forever to find that thing and I thought my game was glitched and everything :rage:
 
I hate the beginning! Its soooooooooo looooooooong!, mostly cause I'm replaying the game over and over and I have to read the same old dull convos again and again...And it all just sux in the beginning. And the prison scene just kills me...
Mostly because its a waste of time going down and then back up again....rawrs!

I hated one part of Card quest. That was about Rinoa's father. I must lost Ifirit card for him to make him showed up his Rinoa card. But almost the time i challenged him, he forced me to play with Random card, how can I choose Ifrid card to lose for him with that bull shit rule.
Urg..., it took me 2 hours to finish the card with that oldman.
 
I found VIII generally annoying in many ways.

1)The Draw System- Here you are in battle- normally you wouldn't mind using some MP to cast Fire or Cure normally right? Not here. Constantly drawing spells to store them for later is just so annoying and tedious while your enemy mows you down as you're doing this. Thank God there are draw points in the game.

2)The Desert Prison- It's been said already; you have to go up and down, fight this, fight that, go up, go down. The prison's torture! Why can't real prisons be as torturous?

3)Outer Space- I despised this bit of trying to reach Rinoa. It's hard enough trying to spot her and actually reaching her without a clock ticking away.

4)The Ragnarok- the legendary part of the respawning creatures and the puzzle-like bit alongside it. It's not a viciously difficult part of the game, but when respawning monsters nearly forced me to give up.

5)The sewers- I too would get lost a lot. I have a poor sense of direction.

Oh man, totally agree hun! Its like "ARGH!" when you realise you are close to that part. It so confuses me despite playing it for 10 years lol! Youd think i wouldnt mind it, but dear God, it really pushes you to the limit that bit. Getting annoyed thinking about it lol
 
I hated the amount talking before the Fire Cavern, I understand that FF is mainly text based, but there was so much unneccesary talking!

I also hated the way that you cant skip the tutorials! It made me stop playing on my second playthrough. So Annoying!

The tutorials is useful, i thought. But if you want to skip it, presh W continously.
 
Probably the whole Propagator thing... They scared / beat the crap out of me. It took me a while to figure out that you could stop them respawning by killng their doubles..
But yeah the way they ran towards you... And they felt so powerful and like they could never die... Even though they are't that powerful once you get used to them. They looked quite scary too... I was like "Ahhhh!!! aliens charging at me! :ness:". They genuinely scared me a bit.

Once I figured them out, killed them all.. I felt amazing and just ran around the ship almost to gloat after finally clearing it from Propogators.. Though I was still scared in case I'd missed some and they can charging back...

The whole headmaster vs. Garden Master part of FF8 is easily the worst part for me. The whole thing just felt like, "...Why? Who is the Garden Master? Why are we doing this?" It felt so tedious. And I didn't like the music, either.

But after that the Garden started to fly, so I didn't care.

Almost positive its triangle on the PSX version. So if you ever replay it, test it out :P

The most boring part was like most of you said, coming back to the garden and having to fight a billion times to find Cid.

The first time I saw a propagator I just said screw it and got a game over. Took me a while to get the color connection :mad: but I thought it was good that they made you actually work to get control of the Ragnarok, because honestly, if you just got to jump on the ship and take off, it would have been a bit boring. To me, at least. And I would have gotten sick of the cutscenes/no battles by then.
 
I don't really hate anything in the game, but I didn't really like Ultimecia's castle. Just some puzzels, divided groups, etc. I guess I need to replay... It's been a while. I also didn't really see the point of NORG...
 
I got to admit, the one part that really irked the H out of me in this game was Ultimecia's castle.

Why you ask? Its because my reserved forces which consisted of Selphie, Irvine and Quisitis where grossly under leveled and I found myself constantly having to play 'catch up' with them so they can be as powerful as my main team.

That part of the game surprised me a bit but also the part when you are on the moon station with the aliens drove me up a wall. Does anyone besides me remember the lvl 9999 aliens on that frickin space station?! LEVEL 9999 and you are like lvl frickin 50?

I think you had to sneak past the aliens or something, I have NO idea how I passed that stage.

Then the Adel boss battle was a pain in the arse since Rinoa keeps dying on you every time you attack the big bad sorceress.

What aliens?

The beginning is one of the most boring parts for me. It just takes so damn long before you get any action and if you have played the game a few times, you're always wondering "why should I keep up with this, I already finished it twice before. Shouldn't I spend my time better?".

I also can't understand why they made Quistis tutorials obligated. Did they really think we would forget it or did they expect nobody to like it enough to play the game a second time?

Last but not least, the space scene! I must have replayed this part half a dozen times. Every time she comes within inches of my reach, but then she goes slightly up or slightly to the left and goodbye Rinoa! I've uttered a few curses at Squall during those attempts too ("Why don't you just stretch your arms and grab her feet you dumbass!").

Easily the worst part of the game. I'm replaying it right now, and it's so stupid because I already know it all. And the dialouge progresses really slowly during the whole thing.

I really thing that that's the only thing that I can think of as worse, although there were slightly stupid things that I hated as well. Oh well, nothings perfect.
