Does this give anyone the impression american women are desperate, have low self esteem, and lack moral values?

I remember once while eating lunch at work, one of my co-workers from the philippines said he was thinking about traveling back to the philippines to find himself a good wife... He didn't think it was possible to find good wife material in the USA.

His views were something similar to... women from countries like the philippines cook, clean, and work hard. They're good wives. Whereas women in the United States, they tend to be more materialistic and crazy. They don't necessarily want to work, contribute or do anything.

Don't know why I bring this up. :hmm: Its just seems to be a recurring theme that pops up every now and then...

~An account of the Chris Brown x Rihanna domestic dispute :ohshit: ...

Court documents released Thursday revealed details about the case against Chris Brown, including a police statement that the incident began when Rihanna (real name: Robyn Rihanna Fenty) found a text message on Brown's cell phone from "a woman who Brown had a previous sexual relationship with."

A search warrant used by police to obtain cell-phone records related to the case included the sworn statement by Los Angeles Police Detective DeShon Andrews in which he detailed what allegedly happened in the early morning hours of February 8.

"Brown was driving a vehicle with Robyn F. as the front passenger on an unknown street in Los Angeles. Robyn F. picked up Brown's cellular phone and observed a three-page text message from a woman who Brown had a previous sexual relationship with.

"A verbal argument ensued and Brown pulled the vehicle over on an unknown street, reached over Robyn F. with his right hand, opened the car door and attempted to force her out. Brown was unable to force Robyn F. out of the vehicle because she was wearing a seat belt. When he could not force her to exit, he took his right hand and shoved her head against he passenger window of the vehicle, causing an approximate one-inch raised circular contusion.

"Robyn F. turned to face Brown and he punched her in the left eye with his right hand. He then drove away in the vehicle and continued to punch her in the face with his right hand while steering the vehicle with his left hand. The assault caused Robyn F.'s mouth to fill with blood and blood to splatter all over her clothing and the interior of the vehicle.

"Brown looked at Robyn F. and stated, 'I'm going to beat the sh-- out of you when we get home! You wait and see!' "

The detective said "Robyn F." then used her cell phone to call her personal assistant Jennifer Rosales, who did not answer.

"Robyn F. pretended to talk to her and stated, 'I'm on my way home. Make sure the police are there when I get there.'

"After Robyn F. faked the call, Brown looked at her and stated, 'You just did the stupidest thing ever! Now I'm really going to kill you!'

"Brown resumed punching Robyn F. and she interlocked her fingers behind her head and brought her elbows forward to protect her face. She then bent over at the waist, placing her elbows and face near her lap in [an] attempt to protect her face and head from the barrage of punches being levied upon her by Brown.

"Brown continued to punch Robyn F. on her left arm and hand, causing her to suffer a contusion on her left triceps (sic) that was approximately two inches in diameter and numerous contusions on her left hand.

"Robyn F. then attempted to send a text message to her other personal assistant, Melissa Ford. Brown snatched the cellular telephone out of her hand and threw it out of the window onto an unknown street.

"Brown continued driving and Robyn F. observed his cellular telephone sitting in his lap. She picked up the cellular telephone with her left hand and before she could make a call he placed her in a head lock with his right hand and continued to drive the vehicle with his left hand.

"Brown pulled Robyn F. close to him and bit her on her left ear. She was able to feel the vehicle swerving from right to left as Brown sped away. He stopped the vehicle in front of 333 North June Street and Robyn F. turned off the car, removed the key from the ignition and sat on it.

"Brown did not know what she did with the key and began punching her in the face and arms. He then placed her in a head lock positioning the front of her throat between his bicep and forearm. Brown began applying pressure to Robyn F.'s left and right carotid arteries, causing her to be unable to breathe and she began to lose consciousness.

"She reached up with her left hand and began attempting to gouge his eyes in an attempt to free herself. Brown bit her left ring and middle fingers and then released her. While Brown continued to punch her, she turned around and placed her back against the passenger door. She brought her knees to her chest, placed her feet against Brown's body and began pushing him away. Brown continued to punch her on the legs and feet, causing several contusions.

"Robyn F. began screaming for help and Brown exited the vehicle and walked away. A resident in the neighborhood heard Robyn F.'s plea for help and called 911, causing a police response. An investigation was conducted and Robyn F. was issued a Domestic Violence Emergency Protective Order."

At the end of his statement, Andrews said Brown sent a text message nine days later apologizing.

"In the text message, Brown apologized for what he had done to Robyn F. and advised [Rihanna's assistant] Ford that he was going to get help."

Huge 'standard' you're making there of all the women. These are just retarded attention whores that just haven't been in a real shitty situation yet.

Sorry on my part, I don't mean to judge, but judging by their comments, it's true. I'm sure once it happens to them in a way they don't like they'll be screaming murder all over the place.

(Shrugs)

Totally agreeing with Six.

I am from the Philippines.
I rarely clean. I can cook, but I am not good. I don't work yet. :griin:

I'd be a terrible wife imo :mokken:

You get men and woman just like this all over the world. Not just America.

Also

Its just a couple of comments on twitter. Its being made out like its the first ever 'bad' thing said on the internet. pff.

What's with people and stereotypes these days? :hmm:

;) i wonder this too sometimes.

Does this give anyone the impression american women are desperate, have low self esteem, and lack moral values?
lack moral values? what are THEY doing to show that they lack moral values? the person who would be beating them would have a lack of moral values.

of course american women have low self esteem. don't even get ME started on why.

they don't have any reason to be desperate. tweeting about how hot chris brown is is hardly a sign of desperation.

i agree that these teenagers are acting foolishly and i don't agree with them acting like what he did was ok. it's probably because they've never witnessed a person who has been through that sort of thing so they don't respect the issue. but they hardly represent american women as a whole.

They don't necessarily want to work, contribute or do anything.
good for him, and you, for making a bigoted generalization. you can't act like all american women are this way. these "women" tweeting are teenagers.

you also seem to be leaving out the single mothers who work their asses off because of deadbeat fathers. if anything they should be the ones acting like there are no good men in america.

if you agree with him though, go on then. we lazy american women certainly won't be missing out. just because they don't want to wait on you hand and foot doesn't mean they're worthless. fuck off.

You know, I could defend my point of view decently well, I think.

Maybe later... Much thanks for the feedback ladies and gents. :T

I think the site automatically moves his threads here.

FFF has become self aware.

I am an American woman and I find this blatant generalization that ALL American women are "desperate, have low self esteem, and lack moral values" insulting, to be quite honest. I don't think all middle eastern men are terrorists, I don't think all people who are on welfare are deadbeats, and I don't think all Christians are "bible bashers" either.

I don't agree that Chris Brown's beating of Rihanna was in any way called for and I do not agree with it. Because of that I don't really care for him as a person anymore and it's not like my opinion of him will ever matter anyways because the chances of me running into him are zilch. Some people ARE desperate and they only look at a person's fame, or the way that they look, and may THINK that the things they do are okay because of this, but I do not. I have morals, I have self esteem to the point where I would NEVER think a man beating a woman was an acceptable practice no matter what the circumstance, and I will never be that desperate to think that the only way I could get a man is if it were with a woman beater like Chris Brown, thank-you very much. I don't know if he's changed or what tbh, but I don't really care. I hope for the sake of his future relationships that he has though.

When we start labeling a group people because of a few people's actions then that creates a lot of intolerance in society and it also shows a lot of ignorance on a person's part as well.

I'm not really bothered about this. This is entertainment. People just say stuff sometimes, and they don't even know what they are saying just to be funny to.

The US is becoming more and more of a Woman's playground these days. Even though Congress has "the power", the real power is in the entertainment/media coorporations. They look to exploit both men and women.

Just look at Lady Gaga, she's only a somebody due to what she wore and how she acted. She has no credit to singing. Her songs are pretty half assed, and only deal with sex mostly. Looks wise, she's not pretty at all. (bias) Take her makeup off and she's.. scary.

How does any of this relate to Chris Brown beating Rihanna? Well just look how he dresses now, and acts. He bleached his hair and became a huge tatood hulk. They villainized him. I'm not saying what he did was screwed up, I'm just saying, he became what society made him out to be.

Women wanting thugs? That's a generalization. You are asking for it there. Entertainment and Real life do not mix. I want to reiterate that, ENTERTAINMENT AND REAL LIFE DO NOT MIX.

So for making a generalization that all women are like this.. well that's sad. Though I will defend what you are saying in a small bit, and say a good woman is actually hard fine, though vice versa for us sleeze bag fellas.

Though the US has nothing to do with it. Culture influences a lot of opinions, but still, men act just as stupid, though you can't hold that to be the standard as all American men.

Again. Men will act a certain way, certain women will be attracted to it. Though not all American women.

People on my friends list on Facebook said all that 'I'd have Chris Brown hit me anyday' stuff going on too; it's just immaturity or something idk.

:raye:argh people!

I honestly don't care about this at all. :x

Easy, easy. The tweets were obviously jokes. Why is this (or the OP's claim) being taken so seriously? 8( This is spam, so I'm inclined to assume his post is a joke? As for the women tweeting it, does it matter? It's highly unlikely they would actually enjoy getting beat in the same manner and chances are that they know it as much as we know it.

Laugh....I did. :hmmm:
