When Xbox live kids go wrong

I hope I don't become more of a Neanderthal. I already burp and fart like one.

Honestly Halo and Call of Duty are the only games where I've experienced shit talk on Xbox. Left 4 dead I've met quite a few good folks. I just think the folks who play Halo are mentally challenged in real life =\. I guess it's because of years and years of bullying, and when Halo was made, they could all come out of the basement where they were chained up as gimps. Granted I've played it a good bit, but most folks who play this don't exhibit the intelligence of a 10 year old.

I've not come across anyone that bad on games before.

There was a dude who chased me around on CoD 4, shouting abuse and trying to knife me.

On Red Faction I was playing capture the flag, and I had the flag so I was hiding between two walls waiting for our flag to be returned so that I could score. Some dude on my team decided to get out his hammer and destroy the building I was hiding in. He then chased me around with this hammer until we were both shot and lost the game. He kept sending me nasty messages after that. :sad2:

I can't say I've had anything worse than that yet. Then again, I don't have Xbox. :awesome:

I guess where most of those people hang out on PSN is PS Home. :brooding:

Probably because the kids who rage on Halo lack the skillz for L4D2 :hmmm:

Heard Left 4 Dead 2 was good, but waiting for the prices to go down. Tia keeps reassuring me =).

This is why I prefer these kinds of games on the PC...not only do I not have to listen to this crap (due to most games not having build in voice chat), if I want people to talk to I'll join an FPS clan and use their Teamspeak or Ventrilo. That way you aren't dealing with the kids who feel entitled to everything or are just being annoying because they can.

I don't own an XBox 360 though, and I don't think I'll ever own one of those pieces of crap. I'd only own one if it was given to me for free (along with a handful of games). I own a PS3, but I don't have a mic for it.

Sadly, I see my brother slowly turning into this but not this extreme. I already have to listen to him go "You're a fag", "You idiot", "You don't know how to play". I've already griped at him a few times, but he doesn't seem to listen. I seriously hope it doesn't get worse :bored:

It's definitely worst on Halo 3. I usually go through the entire list and mute everyone before the game starts.
 
The only shit talk we've ever experienced on xbl was on GTA4 when my bf was playing with some random people and two teamed up against him. Pretty soon the room was empty just with the three players, still teaming against him. One of em continues to call him a little bitch who's gonna get stabbed... blah..

five minutes later, we can hear his mom who's shouting at him "DANIEL, GO TO YOUR ROOM, I WANT TO WATCH THE NEWS IN HERE".. he argues back that he won't go, she threatens to take his xbox away.... silence for a bit and then it starts up again, she's threatening shit and then all of a sudden he just goes offline. It was epic. :monster:
