what do u guys do on Christmas eve to keep urself entertained for the day????

i pick a game and then complete it in one day..... well over the few days before christmas... i got to get up first to pick up something for my dad, but then it's kingdom hearts 2 for the day :) got kingdom hearts bbs as backup :) can't play dissidia like i did last year.... disc broke yesterday and am now holding on for dissidia 012 to come out :)

Prepare turkeys and hams, wrap up the rest of my presents for people, drink Baileys with my relatives, and order chinese food for supper (always, kinda random tradition), and go to bed very very late.

usually I just hang around home and watch my presents eagerly hoping that if i stare long enough they'll unwrap themselves and fly into my arms!

This year I unfortunately have to go to my dads new Girlfriends house for cocktails ;_;
I'd rather be staring at my gifts.

Mostly just sitting around with the family. Christmas with my family is always eventful so I'm expecting fireworks as always in the buildup but ultimately a fun Christmas Eve and Day. Brazilians celebrate on the 24th (for some reason) so Christmas kinda lasts two days for me.

Usually on Christmas Eve I......work -.- luckily I have Christmas Day off, yippee! Although I don't really feel Christmassy right now though :(

I don't do much of anything. I don't open presents since due to my habit of not following tradition, I recieve my presents roughly two weeks before Christmas day. But this year I'll probably just end up watching a nice horror film. On Thanksgiving day, me, my mom, and my grandmother sat around and watched Silence of the Lambs and Hannibal. *sigh* Good times. :ryan:

I'm also going to go on record as saying that this thread should probably be in Costa del Sol main section seeing as how it's not that "spammy". And yes, I am telling the Mods what they should do. :mokken:

Christmas eve is when my family has always gotten their presents. So I will be opening presents from my family. We have Christmas eve brunch where we open presents with my brothers and sister and their kids. then at night my fiance, me, my brother Greg adn his wife open the presents from my parents.

Everyone in my family will gather at my parent's house around 3 p.m. and we will have Christmas dinner around 6. We will open our presents afterwards and play some card games or board games in the evening.

My sister really want to play "Family games nights" for the xbox 360. This game features Mr potatoe and I think it's a compilation of board games but I haven't check it out yet. My parents never played video games and it might be very funny.

Our town has a live nativity scene for the 48 hours leading up till about 8PM Christmas Eve. I sneak down and spray paint their goat.

Well seeing as I have a job, I work all day. Usually 8am to 6pm.

Though this year I got to leave at 4pm. Though I did start at 7am as well. >.<

Then I go home, usually relax for a bit after work, then get stuck into Christmas wrapping if I haven't already, eat dinner, maybe watch a movie and then off to bed.

I used to go to my Dad's side of the family Christmas Eve party every year, but I don't really like that side of the family all too much and just decided to stay home. Don't think I'll be going to the party again either. >.<

If Christmas Eve happens to fall on a weekend, which I get off, then I may do some last minute Christmas shopping if I really have to and then just sit at home all day away from the craziness and wrap presents whilst watching a movie of some sort, and/or play a game if I'm really in the mood. =)

Well, today we watched movies, listened to Christmas music and played a bunch of board games/ cards games to entertain ourselves. That's pretty much all we did :hmmm: We also played GH and had a little family-friendly competition xD.

We also sat around a fire with hot coco and just had a nice talk about tomorrow and our plans for Christmas.

I go visit my stepdad's family every year on Christmas eve, without fail. I was up there today from 7am to 7pm... and the drive is just killer when the weather's bad. 7 of those 12 hours were driving. After I get home from Christmas there, I tend to just chill at home with my grandparents. We're not even doing Christmas 'til after the actual day anyways, so I'm just happy with the low-stress levels I've got going on right now. :lew:

No idea what I'd do if I didn't go to my stepdad's. Probably just hang out at home tbh.

I do what I do every night. Its Christmas that'll be different for me :)

I write in my novel, work on my language, think of a good Syntax and then head to bed! :33

The same thing I do every night - try to take over the world!

Yesterday I literally did do the same thing I always do, though - occupied myself with games, books and this forum. I did watch a little more TV than usual, though. About the only different thing is that we bring all the presents downstairs for tomorrow after my little brother has gone to bed~

Well, I certainly dont get drunk anymore, ive learnt that thats not good for xmas dinner the next day when you are too hungover to eat :sad3:

i remember a couple of years ago thinking ahhhh il be reet if i go out the day before, i can have my hangover on xmas eve and recover for the big scoff

Well, guess which dick ed ended up with alcohol poisoning. I so dont drink that week up to xmas, its not worth the havoc i cause myself :wacky:

i was going to go out this year for a quiet few down the beehive, but it was far too fucking cold to bother, and i needed to do my wrapping. plus i think my mum would have killed me if i was hungover yesterday and ruined my sister's first christmas lunch. :wacky:
