I sort of like how they've taken a historical event and changed it so that Armstrong and Buzz find a crashed Cybertronian ship on the Moon. I just wonder how exactly that will be incorporated into the story, i.e. how was this concealed for over 40 years. Unfortunately though, I'm not sure about the live action Transformers films in general. I'm too much of a traditionalist and I've grown too attached to the old animated series and the original Transformers animated film. The preceding two films seemed too much of a far cry for me, though they looked great, and I never really liked the cast to be honest. :lew:

The first two Transformers movies have been very...hit-and-miss. The first focused far too much on the humans and nowhere near enough on the Transformers, and the second had that godawful and pointless search right in the middle of it that bored the crap out of me, and the most disappointing ending ever. I was really, REALLY hoping for Unicron in this film...that would be absolutely epic. You can't get a much more dramatic finish for Transformers than a Unicron appearance.

I expect this to follow the same trend as the other two films regardless - potential, but ultimately a disappointment.

The trailer was meh and I am not liking the title much. In my opinion... the Transformers live action films arent that good and this looks like another mess. Well not exactly a total mess. No Megan Fox this time. I found the 2nd film to be a total waste of my time but the 1st was only alright. Technically all of them are shit abut the first one is just bette rthan the 2nd one xD. Really not familiar with these new ones though. Was that Shockwave at the end? But finding something on the moon(first people on the moon) Does look like it will be interesting. Ill probably watch this one out of boredom...

Transformers nerd here.

The searching for the Matrix wasn't what bugged me. What got me was the fact that the apparent solution to not focusing enough of the Transformers...was to bring in Herp and Derp and focus on them instead. Just...gah...WHEN WE SAID THERE WASN'T ENOUGH OF A FOCUS ON THE TRANSFORMERS: WE WANTED MORE WITH IRONHIDE, PRIME, AND RATCHET.

I was really, REALLY hoping for Unicron in this film...that would be absolutely epic. You can't get a much more dramatic finish for Transformers than a Unicron appearance.
See, I wanted the reformatted Megatron in ROTF to go by "Galvatron", and perhaps end with a pan out into space, just in time to see a planet being consumed by a massive grey and dark orange planetoid with horns.

I expect this to follow the same trend as the other two films regardless - potential, but ultimately a disappointment.
I fear you're right but I hope you're wrong (aka; I'd like it if this were good ;_; ). The bad news is that this movie has Herp and Derp (STILL!?) but at least we're getting more Soundwave this time around, and the two big new characters are Wheeljack and Shockwave.

No Megan Fox this time.
Yes, unfortunately the new actress playing the lead female has less than half a dozen film credits to her name, and they're all Victoria's Secret Presentations. We've basically exchanged an "actress" for a lingerie model.

Was that Shockwave at the end?
[nerdrage] WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUURGH
[/nerdrage]

*deep breath*

Phew...got that out of my system.

That was not Shockwave. That was Alpha Trion. Shockwave usually has no face and one eye (and was a total badass in Transformers Animated).

I didn't think they would have been able to make up another story for a third film. Well I hope they don't ruin the third one now but as long as it has large machines transforming into vehicle's I will still watch it and the music seems to be really good in them films.

But no Megan Fox:sad3:

Who cares about Megan Fox? She doesn't make the series, the storyline does.

Anyway, I'm not a big fan of the trailer. The secret of forty years seems interesting, but nothing else. I'll still probably watch this since I've already seen the first two films. But it's not enough to capture my attention just yet.

You hit the nail on the head there.

When you've got large machines transforming into vehicles, who needs a detailed and intricate plot? :p

No Megan Fox :x3:
Fixed :3

The secret of forty years is that the first movie isn't the first time Humans have met Autobots (despite that being well established in ROTF) and that yet another major historical event is now being used for "covering up the Cybertronians" :p

In the first movie the Hoover Dam was built to hide Megatron and the Allspark.

In the second movie the Pyramids were built to hide the Star Harvester and various other tombs were used to hide the Matrix.

In this movie, the Moon Landing of course will have something else to do with them.

Oh, and the Hubble Telescope being wonky? That was an intentional cock-up to conceal a passing Decepticon ship :p

Hmm, when I read the synopsis itself and saw that it only mentioned robots, I got excited; but then I looked at IMDB :sad3: Oh well. It's a shame they have to focus so much on people (maybe as a way to appeal to more audiences?), but I don't think it will be any worse or better than the first two. I will probably go see it, because so far the action scenes in the other ones have been pretty cool :D

(Also glad to see so many people agree with me that them ditching the skanktress from the first two will be an improvement :lew:)

The only thing that really interested me at first was the fact Sam's going to get a new love interest. Never was a big fan of Megan Fox, she was just a pretty face to me. Perhaps everyone else will be shown in another trailer in the next few months.

Megan "Manjaw" Fox. Seriously, she's not hot. Also, I hated the first two Transformers movies, and I loathe Michael Bay. Therefore, I will probably not go to see this big screen abortion. :mokken:

Well Transformers is one of the only films I can watch and don't have to follow the story because I love anything got to do with vehicles or any kind of engineering for that matter so when I watch the films I get really distracted every time they transform especially Optimus Prime so I have to watch the films again to really understand the story. I could always follow the story of the animated series but because the the films show a lot of detail when they show the action scenes or transforming I lose concentration and forget parts of the story and yes they have a very detailed and intricate plot but I don't need it follow to enjoy the film thats all I meant.

Good point if Megan Fox is not in it and a new actress is she could be better or worse so it's probably best I wait until I see the film then decide who's best.

I honestly cant wait to see it, i loved the first two movies. To me their animation was spot on, and the storyline may of been a little boring at times, but during the action scenes watch out, or else you're likely to loose a limb.

I will wait for this to come to DVD again.

I loved the first two, but I wish Megan Fox would die in one of them already.

Skanky skank she is. Trying to sex it up and she fails at it.

I just love the autobots. XD They're awesome. The people can just bugger off. They ruin it for me. XD

Well a few token humans are needed. Still, they're either underused or overused for the most part. For some token humans that weren't pains in the asses, see Captain Fanzone of Transformers Animated, and the three new kids in Transformers Prime. Either of those cases is how you do token humans in a TF universe.

Saw this yesterday and loved it!

So glad Megan Fox was not in this one.

I kinda liked the new love interest. Though she's way out of Shia's league. XD

My god I can not believe Patrick Dempsey was in this. Why do they do this. :gonk: He is so feral. I can't believe he's even allowed to be on the big screen. <_<

Other than that it was an awesome move. :ryan: Definitely the best of all three for me.
