Nintendo The Tales of Symphonia

great game was a bit corny at times but i enjoyed the twists in the story
such as when u find out that kratos is lloyds father i mean i suspected it but could never belive it til the game said so.
The voices got a bit annoying whe u did special attacks and they kept syaing them over&over. overall a decent rpg for the gc

please use spoilers.

i used to play tos with dhaos but i never got round to completing it with him but i thought it was great

I was playing this game not so long ago...well, a fair while ago anyway. I really loved it but because I get newer games, haven't played it since. I will finish it eventually though.

I really like Tales of Symphonia. Gosh, I haven't played this game in a while. I admit the voice acting was really bad. The plot was also predictable. Abyssion wasn't that hard to kill.

I've always enjoyed the battle system in the tales series. I think the characters I've used were....Lloyd, Raine, Colette, and Zelos. Colette was adorable! It did get annoying after a while when she kept saying sorry. x_x

Kratos :inlove:

my friend had a copy of this and we played it alot it is a good game which i enjoyed playing

I've also played this, but not far enough. I need to continue it further at a later date. I liked it, but I thought the voice acting sucked. I hated Collette's voice...

I generally like the games I've played in this series. My favourite so far has to be Tales of Eternia though. I'm not sure why, but it's the one I've played most. The voice acting doesn't suck so much either. :P

Kratos :inlove:

I hated Colette. I thought she was a pretty terrible character. >_< Kratos was awesome though.

I really love the game though. Sure the plot was predictable and the voices were terrible but it was so much fun. I always played with my brother and sister. We haven't played it much since we got Tales of the Abyss though. I like the battle system in TotA better.

Tales of Symphonia

I was surprised to see that VoN didn't start this thread ^_^

One of the best GC games ever, ToS takes place in a world called Sylvarant. Every few years, a chosen one is sent on a pilgrimage to restore the worlds mana flow. The chosen, young girl named Collette, sets on her journey with her long-time friend, and true protaganist, Lloyd. Two half-elves, Genis and Sage, join them.

If you haven't played this, I pity you. If you have a Wii (or GC...XD) get this game.

Those who have played it, let's talk...

I have played this game so many times I've completed it about 15 times and I know for a fact I have not done everything.

There is so much to do and some of the things are really well hidden including some mini games and quests.

Like getting Kratos back after he betrays you that is a chance thing to do.

Ha! I know! I was going to play through the game a 2nd time w/ my Lv at 50+, but someone lost the second disc.

What I loved about this game was...everything! Especially Regal! He's the coolest character in the game!

I am a big fan of Kratos for is awesome attitude and Yggdrasil for being a mage bad arse, not enough of those these days not since Kuja.

The game was amazing, one of my favourites deffinantly. It had interesting characters, good twists and one of the best stories so far. The only disapointment I found was the last boss ;-; But otherwise, this was a game worth playing over and over again =D I'm glad I spent so many hours of my life playing this over and over to alternate between different character scenes ^_^

If you played Tales of Phantasia and find the secret ninja village, you'll find that ToS kept the original music and the head ninja's love of setting up traps that only he can avoid. Also, Sheena and Yuzu share the same last name. Hmmm...

Yeah, I love Kratos, too! The voice actor did a fantastic job with him. In fact, I loved all the voices! If I made a game, I'd hire the whole cast (especially Kratos' voice). Them, and Cree Summer ^_^

Yggdrasil was cool too. You never really new what his true motives (which I forgot) were for a long time. Kept me guessing. I love how they use mythological names in games. Y'know, in Norse myth, Yggdrasil (pronounced: Yag-druh-sill) was the name of a tree Odin himself on for a week to gain immortality.
It was also the doorxay to Hell! lol
Isn't mythology awsome!?

Back to subject, this is the best in the Tale's series and deserves to be played!

-Threads Merged-

Probably one of the most enjoyable games I've played. The environment was breathtaking, and the music for both worlds were quite catchy.

Characters were memorable, except maybe for Collette. =/ I didn't really get into her character as much as I would like, but she was decent enough. Nothing extraordinary.

Yeah she wasn't really that interesting, I just thought she was the stereotypical female character = Love interest of the main character, has power that she doesn't know how to use or control properly and just a plain boring character. I couldn't really get into her character either, everyone else seemed to have some sort of weird interest about them, she just seemed...normal.

ha! threads merged! where was the original?

I love how my opinion is always differemt from everyond elses!
My favorite is when you have Zelos lead the party, he'll hit on all the ladies you talk to (except for the ugly ones). And then you get items, pineapple gummies and stuff!

Tales of Symphonia is amaaaaaaaaaaaaazing. It was great to finally have the opportunity to play an awesome RPG on the Gamecube when it released.

I'm not sure if I prefer it to Tales of the Abyss or not...

The only reason I could prefer Tales of Sypmhonia to Abyss is it's cast of characters and story. But Tales of the Abyss' Jade Curtiss and Battle system really make up for the lack of a more interesting story.

Though I do really dislike Colette, she was a complete tard. She's so happy, it's annoying. Kinda makes you wanna slam your head on the desk so you don't have to listen to her. -___-
