The Tale of the Forgotten - RP

The bounty hunter heard a voice behind her, challenging her to some sort of duel. She turned swiftly, her hand on the butt of her shotgun as she looked upon her challenger. Strange...it was that demon from before. Must be bored or bloodthirsty or something if he's asking her for a duel. Rather...out of the blue, really.

"...is there really any point to this duel or are you just amusing herself?" Shenorai inquired with a smirk.

Fragments of Julius' past flashed within the mind of the young knight. Though confused, he was able to extract out of that turmoil of memories, the names of Arthvader and Shenorai, sadly Zeria's name was far from being remembered by Julius for now. Julius fell on the armchair, bringing his hands to his head and staring to the floor. He then turned to Arthvader and the mysterious woman named Zeria.

"Lord Taharka....if you may honor me, I would like to join your armies. Maybe fate will smile upon me and reveal the path leading to my past."

"Yes, bounty hunter... This is only to amuse myself. I have nothing else to do around here other than stalk pawns in a conflict over some kind of artifacts..." He gave the human a questioning look, as if asking if she was strong enough to fight. "I will not kill you." He assured, drawing his sword. Today, it took the form of a katana, one of the longer styles, but still a katana.

"If you're up to it, draw your weapon."

Zeria cursed under her breath.

"Sir Julius...I can't believe you've forgotten me. But it's understandable. Something must've happened to you....I shall remain by your side until you can remember everything....that's the oath I took when I swore to serve you until my death"

She wiped away her tears and clenched her fists.

~~{Damn! I knew I shouldn't have left the academy! This always happens! WHY DOES THE WORLD KEEP DOING THIS TO ME?!"

Vex stood silently at the gates still waiting for a reply, when he heard Damian make his demand. "Well as this isn't hell I really can't tell you what is happening here. Though I can say if we do not reterive that gem where it may be we might soon have hell on earth. Look here all that is important is making sure we find that gem, it's all I can tell you at the moment."

Now being ticked off at the amount of time Vex decided to walk past the gaurds. "I'm sure you can tell your lord that I have come to see him, since you have a guest area for people to visit I will just go there."

Vex was walking in the mansion taking note that it was lavished a little fancy. He also noted that it housed the guards training area, and then he heard something that most suprised him, it sounded like the voices of those people that started to fight the golem with him earlier. Deciding to follow what he heard he soon came upon a room with Zeria and the rest of them in it, and noticed two other strangers. Though what unnerved him the most was seeing that one of the these strangers appered to have the earth gem, and another one from the feel of the magical powers but he could not be sure. Deciding to take some initative he spoke.

"Excuse me sir, but any chance are you the lord of this mansion. If so I would like to ask you some questions about what has been going on in this town, if you would know of anything?"

'Hell on earth? What have I stumbled onto?'
Damian watched as Vex stormed past the guards. They reached to stop him, but seemed to intimidated to try anyhing further.
Damian took a few steps forward to keep up with Vex, but before he could reach it, the guards shut the gate and locked it.
"We're sorry sir but we just can't let you through right now," said one of the guards.
"But the other guy just went in."
"I'm sorry but there are too many people already here to see our lord. You will not be given any time to speak to him."
Damian could have easily forced his way in, but he found no need to disturb anyone just because he felt impatient. He took his guitar from his back and started to play it to kill time.

"It is... a family heirloom. I know not of any gems." He replied, hastily withdrawing the gem within his lengthy sleeve.

The questioner seemed dissatisfied with the Lord's breviloquent response, yet pursued the matter no further.

Could they all be after this? This... tiny stone? I wonder which member of this party could utilize such incogitable power?

With little time to think upon the matter, the man he recognized was bearing down upon him, seemingly in pain. And yet to Tahark'a surprise, he requested to join his endeavour! The chance seemed impossibly remote, leading Taharka to conclude that he had indeed suffered memory loss - unless of course this wasn't the man he thought he was.

"Join me? Hah. I have need only for capable warriors, and you seem no more effectively capable of wielding a sword than a corpse. Perhaps your lineage might do your request justice - what is your name?"

Before any reply could be made, another stranger waltzed admirably within his house. This had become quite frustrating for the overwhelmed Lord.

"Does this appear a playhouse to you people? This is no place for social visits; why are you all here!?"

A chuckle emerged from the young woman. Just for entertainment? Well, she would confess that she had also asked for duels once in awhile to amuse herself. However, it didn't look like the demon would really give a damn.

"Let's not make this match too long. I have other things to attend to as well."

The bounty hunter's fingers slipped away from her shotgun, raising up in front of her. A lavender glow appeared in her palm for a moment before the light sprung out of her hand in long tendrils, streaming out for several feet before weaving together and solidifying into a longsword. The double-edged blade gave a faint glow as it was completed.

Shenorai grasped the sword tightly and brought the blade down in the demon's direction, listening to the faint noise of the glowing metal slicing through the air. She had a grin upon her lips, her eyes hungry for battle.

"Shall we begin, demon?"

The young knight was disappointed though he would not give up so easily. -"My name is unknown even to me, for my memories have been locked deep within my consciousness. I, however, do keep my knowledge over swordplay and if you would like to test me, so be it."-The young knight bowed to Taharka, and awaited for the lord's replies. Even though he knew little about his own past, the young knight's shattered memories were beginning to return, slowly, but each time he tried to sum them up to determine a slight clue of his identity, the memories escaped from his reach, lost once again. The young knight suddenly remembered a ring, one he was wearing in this very instant. He stared to looked to his right hand, staring to the ring he was wearing and noticing a crest carved on the surface of the ring, on top of a blue sapphire surrounded by gold. It was the crest of the Silverwing Household, rulers of the mild region of Aldabra, knights known by their skills with the sword and their heavy cavalry. This small ring could be an evidence that the young knight's past was inexplicably tied to Silverwing. It was known, that months after they were attacked by Lucius, the lord of the Altzoure Castle disappeared after the crash of the floating fortress of Reinzart, and the young lord was presumed dead. Vegnya took his place as knew Duchess of Aldabra.

-"Perhaps this might lead you to know more about my past. This ring is inexplicably tied to it, but unfortunately it tells me nothing more than vague memories."-

The young knight showed the ring in his hand to Lord Taharka, hoping that the lord would recognize it.

Zeria put a hand on Julius' shoulder.

"Sir...your name is Julius! Julius Argexis Silverwing!"

Somehow, she had to bring his memories back to him. She pulled the griever necklace from her throat and held it out to him.

"You gave me this! Don't you remember?! And this!"

She pulled out the Punisher Gunblade, holding it out to him as well.

"As for you, Lord, I am sorry if we have all intruded upon your home. My desire was only to follow my master. Please forgive me"

She gave a small bow and returned her attention to Julius.

"Please! Tell me you remember at least something!"

The young knight closed his eyes and brought his face to the palm of his hands. He breathed heavily, and was visibly exhausted due to the effort he had done trying to come up with something that would make him remember. The necklace, the sword, though familiar they told them nothing in particular.

"My name....now I remember...being called by that name....still the other details of my past remained unspoken by my consciousness. Regardless of what you say, I can't remember anything, I am sorry."

Seeing how Zeria has started to help Julius remember some parts of his past, Arthvader decided to help out as well.

Arthvader "Julius. You might not remember this, but do you remeber having a brother named Lucius? and also, do you by any chance remember the battle at the top you of you brother's castle. That's the last time Zeria, Shenorai, and I have seen you. Can you remember what happened after that?"

He then told his phoenix to continue restoring Julius's memory.

Looking over to whom he thought the lord of the mansion, the one who asked what he was doing here, Vex spoke up.

"I am simply here to inquire about some of the strange things occuring here in your town sir. it appear as if many ackward if you would so say occurances have been happening. Like the sudden decay of your land and a mysterious monster out of no where springing up. I mainly come to find out if you know why and offer my assitance in any way to help this town out."

The Uneasiness Vex was feeling grew as he turned around and spoke to this man, the energy from the Earth gem now even stronger. It felt as if this man was in possesion of it and some other magical source but what it was still eluded Vex. It nearly felt like it could be another gem... and well if that was the case he didn't know what to think. He began to go into thought and silently was going over numerous possibilities.

"Is this person after the gems as well, and if so for what purpose? The fact that Leon was no longer yet around and the golem was alive disturbs me. Now I feel a strange power coming from him. Though what bugs me more, does this man truly know of the gems power or just chance he has come across them? Well for now it's best not to come out and bluntly ask him, just play this out and see if he says anything about them."

Vex causlly brushes aside his cloak carrying his sword and pretends to scrath his side, offering a glimpse of his sword and the holy gem that houses it. Then turning around to Zeria and Arthander he asks, "So what brings you two here, do you know both of these people?"

"Other things to attend to? Other than training? I think you should spend more time on it, honestly... No offense, but you really don't look like a fighting woman." The demon said calmly. His wings hid themselves inside of his clothes to get them out of the way, and also to show her he had no intention of cheating. This would be an all ground battle.

"Yes, lets. I'll warn you though, don't use magic. It does not affect me in the slightest... I don't want you getting tired over something that won't even do any damage."

It was futile, the more the summoned creature tried to repair Julius' shattered soul the more his memories were fragmented and sealed. It was, as if some sort of malicious spell, or curse were nullifying Phoenix's healing abilities. Something was missing, it was as if Julius' soul lacked something important, something that could have been torn away from him a long time ago.

"Lucius? I.....can't...but....Stop...I am exhausted...tell that being to stop....Arth....Arthvader?"

Julius suddenly remembered that name, but he couldn't tell for sure if it was aligned to the identity of an ally, or an enemy. The young knight felt uneasy, these revelations were too much for him. A voice caught his attention, a voice deep within his mind. It was grave, almost demonic, hatred and pain accompanied each of the words that the monster pronounced.

"How could you forget....how could you forget your sins? You are responsible for your brother's demise. His blood stained your criminal hands! You can never run away from your true purpose....unleash hell! Aeternus!!!"

Julius recovered control, the echoes of those ghostly words faded within his mind. The young knight brought his sight all around him, trying to identify his location but nothing was brought to his already troubled mind.

"Am I....Julius or Aeternus?.....Am I one...or both?"

'Aeternus? Oh no. This can't be good. If he thinks that he's Aeternus, we're going to have a big problem. Wait a minute. What is that I see? can that be a spirit?'

Arthvader is now worried about Julius's life more than ever. Suddenly, he saw a malicious spirit torturing Julius's soul by hurting his memories. Sadden at what he saw, He took out his sword and pointed it at Julius.

Arthvader "Everyone, stand back. Julius, this might hurt 'Sorry if this will hurt you, but I have no choice. If this works, you might regain all of you memories.' Okay, here I go."

Arthvader then swung his sword towards Julius hard enough that a wave of energy was formed from the swing, hitting Julius in the process. Although everyone else might thing that Arthvader has hut Julius, the truth is that the wave didn't hurt Julius at all, but rather got rid of the evil spirit.

Arthvader "You feel any better, Julius?"

"Fair enough. Though my business is my own, if you don't mind."

With that, the young woman made the first move, charging forth towards the demon. Both of her hands clutched her sword as the tip of the blade barely brushed against the grass beside her feet. As she picked up speed, the adrenaline rushed within her. Once she was close enough, her sword was sent out in a rather shallow slash. Purposely easier to parry. This was a sparring match after all, not a fight to the death.

It was strange, though. A faint wisp of chilled air seemed to follow the young woman everywhere. A ghost?

Zeria slapped Arthvader.

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING TO HIM?! Harming him isn't going to do any good!"

She turned to Julius and bowed her head.

"You are not Aeternus...you are Julius. My master. Aeternus only wants you to become a monster. You didn't cause Lucious to die! It wasn't your fault! Please, don't think you did!"

Julius uttered his name before Taharka could respond to the information he gathered from simply looking at the ring. It was now that he remembered exactly who this man was.

Oh, what irony it would be if...

Taharka flicked Julius' ring in the air for him to retrieve, before turning his back to the crowd - walking away.

"Very well, Julius. You may consider yourself MY ally." He turned his head half way, "Come; we have unfinished business to conclude."

He resumed walking, as if gliding, through his hallways, crossing the path of the latest stranger to enter his one-of-many homes. "You too" he whispered.

The doors to his personal training quarters whisked open, clearing a path for his Lordship.

(OOC: I'm totally stumped for good posts right now. xD )

"As you wish my lord." Julius stood firm and bowed to his new commander. For the first time in a long time he would be once again part of a clan, an unit, a family. Julius bid farewell to the strangers he met, and followed Lord Taharka, awaiting for his very first assignment.
